It's a nice little hotel, good for the one night stay I used it for. The only comment I'd make is that charging 4€ for the carpark when there's space in the property feels a bit off. It could be included in the price of the room.

Fabulous find, booked as a stop off on the way to Calais, minutes from the motorway. 15 min walk in to town, but lots of amenities close by. Recently renovated to a great standard, beds were super comfortable & had everything we needed for a short stay, including a very nice continental breakfast.

Very friendly staff, as well if we arrived later, we called them and they provide us with the code to access the property and explained how to find the key for our room.
Nice breakfast in the morning to start the day.

Motel - ok for one night

We arrived at the hotel and were disappointed to find it situated in a semi industrial area. The room was clean but pretty small overlooking the car park and road. The room was surprisingly quiet with the shutters closed.
We didn’t know the area and when we asked at reception, were given no helpful information about where we could find a place to eat as it was 9pm on a Saturday night. We ended up at a very average diner style restaurant. The next day we discovered that Beune town centre was situated quite close in the other direction with amazing places to eat and drink. This was disappointing as we felt we had wasted an opportunity to see a beautiful town with amazing history.

We could not get internet or WiFi in our rooms because we were told they were too far from the source. We had to go down the hall to use it. Also we only had 4 channels on tv. We were very disappointed in the hotel. Rooms are too small

It is a cheap hotel which is comfortable. There are no staff on duty at night and a number of us had issues with the security system. Arrived back from our meal and our code wouldn't let us in. Rang the emergency number only to get a recorded message. Fortunately one guest had gone out for a takeout and his wife let us, along with several other guests, in (but we had waited over 20 mins). The next day the staff told me I hadn't rung the right number (so I showed them my call log) & then said I hadn't been putting the right code number in. Several guests came to my support so they had to concede the lock was faulty and said they would look into why my calls hadn't been answered.
It is very noisy and if you shut the windows, the ac is unacceptably loud.

Nice hotel but in industrial side of town.

Overall this was a reasonable hotel but was in not very nice part of town. Service was good and very small rooms. No A/C and electricity was intermittent overnight which turned off the fan. Wi-fi was almost non-functional.

Hotel Alesia is in a perfect location for exploring Beaune. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond, it had a delightful garden and continental breakfast.

The only drawback was that the bed was a bit hard but it was perfect for a 2 night stay on a budget.

Pretty hotel for 1-2 nights and well -situated.

We only stayed 1night but we had very spacious rooms. Be warned: no air-conditioning, so very stuffy with temperatures over 35 degrees C.

Not worth the money - avoid at all costs.

The place seemed OK at the first glance, however there were several problems: first, the receptionist failed to provide Internet access codes on arrival, and as we went out for a dinner and returned after the reception was closed, we couldn't connect until the morning after. Second, the hotel is located at the junction, so sleeping with windows open means waking up at about 5:30am, when cars and HGV's start passing it. Third, the AC unit in the room was so old and worn that it produced the noise of a departing jet, so having it on at night was not an option, too. Fourth, the equipment is badly worn, adjusting shower temperature is almost impossible.

The free parking is a nice bonus though, given the location and the distance to the city center is about a mile or so.

Nice small hotel with friendly staff, nice room, good wifi, parking available, shower wasn't great - but standard with most European hotels. Walking distance to center, 10-15min. Breakfast available though did not purchase.

Comfortable stay.

Room was comfortable size and so was bed. Shower was larger than most and also comfortable. Parking was secure and hotel was convenient for short drive to town center where parking was easily available. A little tricky to find since attached restaurant is in front and access road can be easily passed. Otherwise a very good value.

A Gem as Base To Explore Beaune

This is a lovely and fine hotel. Upon noticing my friends and I having many luggages, Sarah the receptionist gave us a room on the ground floor. She was amazing and attended to all our requests. This hotel is strategically located and there is a supermarket just opposite it. However, beware that the supermarket and most shops are closed on Sunday. The bathroom is spacious and the room is very comfortable.

We only stayed the one night but our room was clean, the bathroom was clean and the bed and pillows were quite adequate. Parking was free and was gated so that was nice. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. Wifi was also good and free.

Very disappointed in Hotel Alesia

Tiny room, no where to sit apart from bed room was totally souless. The worst part was the room rate. we paid Expedia 60GBP and found that the room rate off the street was 60EURO, and I thought Expedia was supposed to offer a better rate than normal not dearer! Lucky for us we were booked for 1 night only and fell into bed exhausted. Would not choose this place again though. Very nice receptionist on checkin.

Basic hotel in wine country

This hotel is quaint and has some cute touches. Rooms are updated but very small (barely enough room to change in the bathroom) and no air-conditioning (we did find a fan in the closet that saved us overnight). It's located outside the main town of Beaune, right on the main street that leads to the highway - which was a plus for us - as we were leaving early to get back on the road. The price was reasonable, but the check-in staff were not particularly friendly. And breakfast is not included. All in all, a basic barely three-star accommodations, manageable if you need a (warm) place to sleep in a beautiful wine-producing region, but nothing special.

Cute, clean hotel

First of all, it's cute, clean, and sweet hotel and good position if you want to visit Beaune. Besides, it's so interesting that the whole room decorate with “Marilyn Monroe”. (Maybe most of visitor may not used to it.)
However, some weakness should be notice, such as, the room is quite small, no elevator, probably no air condition, but I really consider is good value and you should think about it.

Lovely hosts, very helpful, lady speaks English which in France is refreshing for small hotels like this. Gentleman could not be more helpful (doesn't speak any English but somehow that doesn't matter)
Short walking distance (10 mins) into town which is charming and with good restaurants
Good camera surveillance on car park locked at night but they'll give you a code to get in and out. Small room is small, great for one but go up a level if two. Internet works well, is free although could not stream music video etc - good enough for email etc.
Overall we would stay there again happily

We stayed here for one night in July 2011. The hotel was basic but clean. It is about a two minute drive from the old Beaune city center. There is no elevator if you need one. The room was good size and a good shower. There is free parking in the lot in front of the hotel.

Great for a stopover

The hotel Alesia is less than 1km off the autoroute and 10 mins walk from the centre of Beaune, making it an ideal spot for a mid journey stopover.
The owners and their staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. The rooms were clean and tidy, if a little tight for space. The continental breakfast breakfast was very good and the owner ensured you had more than enough to start the day.

Comfortable family-run hotel

We actually had 2 different rooms over our 4 night stay. The first was the double room with bath. And the second was the double room with shower. The bath room was in the front of the hotel and was large, bright (2 windows) and very comfortable - however, it was a bit louder. The shower room was smaller and darker (only one window), but it was quiet and still very nice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The best part about this hotel is the owners. They are a sweet couple who take pride and joy in their work. They are friendly and helpful. They also have a bar with outside seating, which is great since there is really nothing in the area. They also have free parking. If you don't mind walking into town (about 15 min), this is an ideal location and we would definitely stay here again.

No hot water

We checked into the hotel at check-in time, around 4 PM. We did not take too much notice of a plumbing truck in the parking lot. We were shown our room by a nice young woman. A bit later we started to hear hammering and banging. It appeared to be coming from the room next door. That night we noticed there was no hot water. When I mentioned this to the room maid the next morning, she said :\"It is not our fault.\" More banging and clanging had been going on since 8 AM.....later we understood that there was a problem and that it existed when we checked in!!!It was not restored until late afternoon!!!
The hotel was a sweet place, but why were we not informed at check-in, or offered some kind of compensation?

Used the hotel as a stopover on the way to Paris but had a very nice stay. The owners made us feel very welcome and directed us to a good restaurant that we could take our 2 year old to. Our room was nice and clean and had recently been decorated. It wasnt in the centre of Beanue but we had our car and were able to pop into the centre in only a few mins.

IF YOU'RE THINKING OF BOOKING THIS HOTEL, READ THIS FIRST ! ! !

I have just returned from a 3 week holiday travelling France & Spain staying at numerous hotels as I went along. I booked this hotel in the afternoon whilst travelling from Spain to Beaune, France on my way home. Because the reception is open in the afternoon between 16.00 & 22.00 (otherwise unmanned), they asked me if I could call the hotel at 21.00 to give them a more accurate time of arrival. The lady who owns the hotel speaks English & when I told her that I would be there around 23.00 she promptly told me 'NO NOISE OKAY'. I was then also told 'DON'T LET YOUR DOG GO ON TO THE BED'. This I felt was not a good start. When I got there I let myself in with the keycode. When I let myself in I couldn't believe how small the room was. I am 6 ft tall & weigh 19 st. Big I know but this room was so small it really was laughable. I looked in the bathroom & I had requested a room with a bath. This might have been mistaken as a bird bath because once again it was so small both lengthways & widthways. To make matters worse a protruding hand rail had been stuck on the side of the wall which makes you're space even more inhibited. The next morning I asked for a bigger room & was promptly told this was the biggest room. The room was very overpriced for what it was left a very bad memory of such a beautiful town. This is classed as a 3 star but I can honestly say is more towards the upper end of a 2 star. Please be careful if you are going to book here.

A warm and courteous welcome

This was an ideal hotel for our overnight stop on a journey through France. Very close to the motorway but just a few minutes walk from the centre of Beaune. The welcome we received was exceptional - friendly and extremely courteous. Our room was not huge but it didn't need to be. It was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The proprietors are a charming couple who could not have been more hospitable or helpful. This is definitely a hotel we would be happy to return to.

Cozy small hotel run by a nice family.Place is spotless.Free parking.No elevator,so if you have heavy luggage be ready to carry up stairs.Complimentary breakfast is served with the owner running around making sure that you have enough of everything.This place feels like home.You hate to leave it.City center is straight down the road,and it's around the corner to the highway.Recommend using a GPS to find the hotel,since there are some winding roads getting there and it's not on a main road but on a side street.

Okay, not great. A place to stop over.

Just be there before 10:30, we arrived after driving for 6 hours at 10:37 and the proprietress was in her robe, very unhappy, saying they \"close\" at 10:30... I had sent an email after booking saying we could be late, but didn't expect such a scolding upon arrival. Whatever, it was inexpensive and we only stayed one night. Small room and a nice, basic breakfast of croissants/jam/coffee/juice.

Great management, one caveat

The couple that own and manage this hotel are as sweet as any people you will find anywhere. They keep the hotel nice and clean and live on the property and go out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. It is priced fairly and their breakfast is nice, as well. The one caveat to staying at Hotel Alesia is that if you go when it is warm you will be uncomfortable sleeping at night. It was not particularly warm when we stayed there but there is not way to get air to circulate into the room with the window open and there is no air conditioning at all. It was unusually warm the day in May we stayed there and as a result we did not sleep very well, not being used to the humid, muggy air temperature. Other than that (or if you go in a cooler month) you will be happy with your stay at this hotel.

Hotel Alesia in Beaune-- Friendly home base

We stayed 1 night at Hotel Alesia, having scheduled the stay on our way back to Paris from Provence, just to explore the area for a couple of days.

This is a modest, but very sincere, hotel. The owners were gracious and friendly, even offering to store our bikes in the garage so we didn't have to carry them upstairs. This is what a good 2-star hotel should be: it may lack some of the luxuries and amenities of higher starred places, but the common areas and our room were very clean and well-maintained, and the place made for a comfortable and thanks to the owners, charming and personable, base for visiting Beaune and surrounding areas. All for a very reasonable price.

It's a couple of km outside of the center of town, along a fairly busy street, so it maybe isn't ideal without some kind of transport, but otherwise we found it a very solid choice for visiting southern Burgundy. I'd stay there again without hesitation.

WOW, what a find!

This is a beautiful little place, within walking distance of the town centre and all local shops. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly, even seeing us off at the door, shaking our hands and wishing us a pleasant trip. The room was large and comfortable, although the wifi was a little tricky to use, and the breakfast was delicious and fantastic value for money. I can't wait to go back here and would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Loved this place!!!

I have traveled all throughout Europe and this is definitely one of my favorite hotels. Owned by a husband and wife, they could not have been more welcoming-they speak VERY little English but were incredibly friendly. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The surrounding town is amazing-definitely a great place for a romantic getaway.

lovely couple who run it

we stayed there for one night of our honeymoon and met the owners of the Hotel.
The wife spoke good english but the husband could not speak english at all. THis did not matter at all, they went to so much trouble to make us welcome and comfortable, even chilling a bottle of wine we had bought and bringing it out to us in an ice bucket to sit and drink in their garden.
Breakfast was lovely and again the husband could not do enough to ake sure we were happy.
Probably not in the most ideal area, but the quality of service makes up for it.

The operators of this hotel bend over backwards to make guests feel welcome, though if you do not speak French and arrive before 5 PM, you may be a bit perplexed. Our primitive French was adequate for the very clear information the proprietor presented. Our room decor is quirky modern - our bed appeared to float on a cloud of blue light from lights underneath. Room was reasonable size with a large walk-in closet, and very clean. Outdoor parking is fenced and locked at night. Location is a bit of a hike to town, but convenient to the autoroute. Optional 7.50 Euro breakfast looked like cold cuts and bakery stuff, so we passed.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! We wish we could have stayed longer, just because it was so nice. It is run by a wonderful couple who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are so cute, and there's even a little courtyard to sit and enjoy some wine! We were in Europe for over 2 weeks and stayed many places but this was BY FAR our favorite!

This hotel is located about 2 minutes away from the city center with great access to all necessary roads and local sites. The owners bent over backwards to take care of us; the wife speaks English, and the husband smiles and gestures his way through the many offers of help. Breakfast was very good (extra nominal charge), the room absolutely quiet due to double-paned windows. The room was charming and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Δεν εχει ασανσερ . Επρεπε να ανεβάσουμε βαλιτσες στο δεύτερο ορόφο. Το δωματιο ειχε πολυ ζεστη. Το πρωινό φτωχό.

Par ailleurs, la réceptionniste m'a dit avoir reçu notre demande vers 19h , mais ne venant pas d'expédia, mais d'un autre prestataire alors que j'ai reçu d'expédia confirmation de l'hotel vers 14.30...A 19h il n'avait plus de chambre mais par chance il y a eu un désistement, ce qui nous a permit d'avoir une chambre à notre arrivée...O est l'erreur ?

L'hôtel Alésia , bien situé près de la sortie autoroute, est un agréable point d'étape.
Bien que situé en bordure d'une route très passante, les doubles vitrages assurent un calme parfait pour un sommeil réparateur.
L'accueil est très agréable, et la jeune femme qui l'assure est de bon conseil si on la sollicite pour trouver un bon restaurant par exemple.
Aucun point négatif à signaler.

Tres bon accueil et arrangeant (arrivée dans la nuit). Chambre confortable et agréable. L'hotel manque d'isolement (surtout par rapport au couloir).

Très décevant et très cher

les informations du site sont trompeuses.
Zone pas calme, pas résidenciel, pas d'activités
proches, chambre minuscule et peu équipée.
Lit très mauvais.
Nous étions pressé de quitter au plus vite car
cet hotel ne permet pas de bien se reposer et se relaxer. Bref, à déconseiller vivement.
En plus la propriétaire s'est trompé sur le prix total: elle n'a pas respecté ce qui était indiqué dans son ordinateur ... vraiment pas sérieux!
