Lara
3 bedroom with plunge pool was stunning. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we could have hoped for. The apartment was clean, spacious and well stocked. The swimming pool was enormous and such a nice activity at any time day or night.
Heather in reception was super friendly and offered so many helpful suggestions on eateries and activities.
We were a party of 5 and stayed 7 nights.

We had such an amazing stay at Pool Resort. Everything was clean, well looked after, and super comfortable from the moment we arrived.

The pool area is honestly the standout – so relaxing and beautifully set up. The rooms were spacious, modern, and had everything we needed for a great stay.

Big shout-out to Heather at reception, who was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. She made check-in easy and gave us great tips, which really made a difference.

Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay whether you’re away with family or just looking for a relaxing getaway. We’d absolutely come back again.

Personally, feel the rating of this resort shouldn't be 5 stars. Have recently stayed in places much better which all up costed us much less too. No real wow factor. Was immaculately clean but had issues with oven, hot water and zero shade in pool area. Photos online through 3rd party bookings were not accurate and neither was the pricing - making out like a massive saving was to be had which was not the case. Left feeling pretty underwhelmed, maybe just not our cup of tea.

One small piece of feedback, the mattresses were uncomfortable, far too soft, that’s a personal thing as everyone is different but these were on the extreme!

What a little slice of paradise Pool Resort is! We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay - leaving was so hard! The pool itself is stunning, the rooms are extremely well appointed and Brigid and Heather are just the most welcoming and lovely hosts. Can’t recommend this place more highly. It’s a little way out of the town centre, but the reliable local shuttles get you anywhere you need to go within the town. Perfect stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Pool. The pool was large and clean. Our 2 bedroom apartment was upstairs overlooking the pool. The second bedroom was small with no bedside tables or a lamp. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and the laundry was useful. It’s a long walk to town so we were happy we had a hire car. The walk to the beach is about 10/15 minutes.

Loved the property. We had a 3 bedroom and it was quiet and had a lovely view out back and pool was only a few steps out of the front door. It is a decent walk to get into town, but there are several shuttle busses available for $10 unlimited trips per day - this worked well for us.

We had the pleasure of staying in one of Pool's 3 bedroom apartments. The unit is a home away from home (with some added luxuries). My family were amazed by the size of the unit and the modern feel. The pool at the complex is to say the least 'first class'. The property manager is absolutely lovely as well.

Our family had the BEST time.
We stayed for a week mid Aug and the weather was great.
Heather and the team were amazing and so helpful with giving us all the local knowledge.
Our kids (6 & 9) had the best time, mainly spent in the pool. For us adults, the pool was a bit fresh to start with but once you got in, we spent the whole day in there. We also found that the later in the day, the pool was nice a refreshing. The pool in the main area is that big, that you can swim, splash around without annoying others or you could make friends.
We stayed in one of the rooms with the swim up balcony and it was perfect because the kids would swim around whilst we sat on the sun lounges and watched on.
We also hired a car which you would need, as you are about 6mins to the main part of Port Douglas where all the restaurants are.
There is a little cafe about 2mins from the resort that does great coffee and breakfast and if you are lucky, you might spot the baby crocodile in the water near the golf course.
The beach isn’t too far away and is great for your morning walks and you might even catch the sunrise if you are an early riser.
Sunsets are best viewed on a clear day down at Anzac Park which you would need to drive to as it’s in the main part of town.
We highly recommend staying here.

Spacious, modern property that was perfect for our family of five. The 3 bedroom apartment with plunge pool was a great size with plenty of space. The lounge furniture was a little worn and only accommodated 4 people comfortably, not enough space for the 5 of us. A larger couch for a 3 bedroom apartment would be more practical if accommodating up to 6 people.. The property is approx a 40 minute flat walk into the main street of Port Douglas. Alternatively, you can pay a shuttle service to take you there and back if you don't like walking or don't have a car. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay The large pool area was clean and well maintained. A very enjoyable stay overall!

The staff were lovely and very helpful.
Room was very clean, modern and spacious.
Pool was really clean and had crystal clear water. Big enough to not feel crowded even if there were lots of people in it at the same time.
The local shuttle bus would pick you up from the hotel right outside of reception which was really handy.
I will definitely be returning.

Loved everything about The Pool Resort.
Great location in quiet streets, 5 min scooter/drive into Port Douglas.
Very spacious 3 bed plunge apartment perfect for a family of 5 with 2 bathrooms and very large living dining kitchen open plan. Very long wide hallway from front entrance past bedrooms and bathrooms.
Great decor, very clean, plenty of lounge/dining chairs etc for the whole family without being on top of each other. Our apartment overlooked golf course, very relaxing and quiet with little outdoor area to sit.
Plunge pool was small but handy having at your door. Main pool went forever, the biggest I've ever seen anywhere, plenty of space so you can lounge around.
Very clean apartment and all facilities maintained well. Awesome to have scooters available on site, easy cruise around local area and into PD.
Cannot fault anything about this place and would recommend to anyone visiting PD.

Big pool at the front. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to stay in these rooms with access to the pool which was a bit disappointing as we weren't explained anything about the room.
We were alocated at the very end corner of the resort, again quite disappointed with that as all the photos show this beautiful pool we would be looking at. Apartment was clean and had all amenities but had a big ants nest on a balcony. There were everywhere.
Main bed was very poor quality which made our sleep uncomfortable. Staff were really lovely and helpful though.
Overall we still enjoyed our getaway to Port Douglas but unfortunately next time will book somewhere else.

Got a sunset pool view - got given a side room that couldnt really see the pool (upper level, smaller pool area, not the main pool - make sure to ask after booking!). No info in rooms, office opening times limited and they dont appear to want to guide for trips etc. Bit far from main PD area, have to drive up. Nice place overall, rooms are spacious and modern and have everything you need including netflix. Main pool is only 1.3m deep, wish it had varying depths but guess it has to be kid safe. Could do with some basic info (folder/welcome pack) with quick guide, top attractions, restaurant suggestions since no breaky etc.

Pool Port Douglas 3 BR apartment with pool access from balcony was an amazing place to spend our time in Port Douglas. This apartment was massive and modern and had a bath upstairs with the master and the pool was just the perfect temperature. The only negative was the pigeons and they were pooping all over the above apartment veranda which isn't hygienic or nice to see.

Nice Location, too far to walk into town but only a short drive. Friendly welcome and easy check-in. We had a 3 Bed plunge pool apartment. Good size and all amenities needed. There were a few areas that lacked obvious cleaning and dishwasher did not work. Could not get Wi-Fi in the apartment and only supplied with voucher of 1gb per person which would not work, so they shouldn't advertise Wi-Fi as non existent. Mobile phones would not work indoors either. Very inconvenient when trying to book activities and restaurants as everyone wants bookings done online. Was great to have cleaning part way through but no notice when they were coming so we had to scramble to get out for the cleaners. After a power outage which is no fault of the accommodation, the plunge pool went cold so seems like heating stopped working. Although these are small issues and we are seasoned travelers so have come to expect anything, for the price some of these basic things shouldn't be a problem. Would probably come here again but would try a swim-out room.

The owners of the property went out of their way to make our girls weekend very special.

The apartment was roomy, well furnished and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the ability to swim out straight off our patio was fabulous.

We had a wonderful stay here! The two bedroom apartment was spacious, comfortable and equipped with all the amenities you need for a family. The pool was just outside our door and we all spent hours in it. The staff were so lovely and accommoda. We will be back and next time for longer than just a couple of nights! Highly recommend.

Holidaying with three families, and so booked two swim out apartments and requested to have apartments located next/near each other. But when checked-in we were given swim out apartments but located far from each other and swim out to different swimming pools. Was able to negotiate to downgrade to pool view apartment that was located close to the other families’ apartment.
Apartments are clean and comfortable. Easy check in and check out.
Convenient covered car parking and close on road car park.
Location 5mins driving to town.
We had a very nice experience. Will definitely come back.
