I think our biggest complaint was that there could have been a few more power points.
Everything was great. Excellent pool, spacious rooms, very good supply of those incidentals that you often think about like glad wrap and dishwashing detergent.
We will stay again.

The apartment villa was fantastic - so spacious and comfortable for our week's stay. We made good use of the lovely pool. Location was perfect, literally a few mins walk from cafes and 4 Mile beach. It truly gave us a wonderful feel of the northern tropics.

Our apartment at Cayman was lovely and modern. Very spacious - dining table could seat 6. Full kitchen, two full bathrooms. Dishwasher, washer & dryer. Outdoor area with table.
Spotlessly clean. 5 minute walk to shops/restaurants/supermarket, and 5 minute walk the other way to the beach.
Helpful staff with good advice on local attractions.
Only thing to be aware of is this is more like an AirBnB than a resort - they don't replenish toilet paper, shampoo etc or service the apartment unless you stay 7 days (we stayed 6). However with supermarket nearby and washer/dryer this is not a big deal.
Towels a bit threadbare would be our only other criticism.

Cayman villas is in a great location. You can walk to the beach and Macrossan street. The rooms are large and spacious with everything you need.
Only little issue we had was the towels weren’t clean when we arrived so they were swapped over. My daughter was also scared of little bugs and webs around the inside premises, but to be expected up north.

Pool is great and plenty of loungers.

I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Our room was spacious and clean. The aircon worked great, and we had aircon and fans in the living area and both bedrooms.
The pool was clean and the perfect temperature.
Lee (at reception) was super friendly and great at recommending and organising tours. We're introverts, so she gave us our space, but when we asked for her advie she was so helpful. She knew the weather and which days would be the best conditions for snorkelling. We followed all her advice and were happy we did.
Location was so convenient. Maybe a 3 min walk to the best part of the beach, and a 5 min walk to the main street with cafes, shopping, restaurants etc.
We will definitely stay here again.

The Perfect Place at Port Douglas

Cayman Villas are beautifully appointed Villas just a 2-5 minute stroll to the main street, 4 Mile Beach or the inlet.
The rooms are spacious and immaculate with views overlooking a beautifully maintained pool with BBQ facilities.
I would highly recommend a stay at the Cayman Villas. We stayed for six nights and will be definitely returning - Thank you

Fantastic location! Pool and outdoor BBQ areas are very good. Our unit was quite nice inside, looks like recently refurbished. Only downside was mattress in master bedroom quite thin and not very comfortable. Overall a nice relaxing stay.

Relaxing retreat close to everything.

Cayman Villas was spacious and very comfortable. We had a three bedroom apartment with plenty of room for us and our three girls. The pool was beautiful and the location was perfect. We could walk two blocks to the beach or two blocks to the main strip in town. The managers at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful in offering suggestions for activities. Port Douglas is a lovely little town and we would stay here again if (and hopefully when) we return.

Stayed for 4 nights. Welcome was good and apartment was well appointed, spacious and comfortable with an excellent balcony. Location was excellent with easy 5 minute walk to town restaurants and shopping / supermarkets. One small problem was that any sound in the stairwell between apartments reverberated loudly (due to brick walls and tile floor). Putting something in the gap under the front door may help. Overall very happy with stay and would definitely return next time!

Managers are very friendly and obliging and keep the property in excellent condition. The location is good being a short walk to either the beach or the shops and restaurants on Macrossan street. Clean and warm pool. Good BBQ area.

The room is quite spacious but a little dated as is common with many properties in Port Douglas. Some noise from room above but overall we were very happy with our stay and would return.

The perfect place to stay

Cayman Villas are so beautiful, we were very impressed with the modern furnishings and spacious rooms. The location is ideal, a few minutes walk to the beach & ships & restaurants. We come to Port Douglas every year, and this was our first time staying at the villas.
The staff were very friendly and helpful & we look forward to staying there again in 2019.

Just beautiful!

It was our first family holiday and we had a great time. Leigh, Brice and Sara were all very helpful and lovely people. The villa was very clean and spacious, the only negative was the beds were a little uncomfortable but apart from that the place has no faults. Would definitely stay there again and also recommend it to family and friends.

We stayed for 12 days at Caymans Villas and enjoyed our stay ,very nice property,during that time we had one survive of the unit which envolved change of towels and fresh bed linen quick vacume, the basins and sink a wipe over would have been nice to make it look fresh at the service, I think this area is in needsof some attention when you have an extended stay . Overall we had a nice stay and would recommend this property.

Great location close to town (10 minutes walk to most restaurants or shops, less to the marina). Good pool which was the perfect temperature for far north Queensland. Free to use BBQs by the pool. Very large apartments.

Fantastic units with a perfect location

We stayed at Cayman Villas for four nights in March 2017.

Our room was a two bedroom on the second floor overlooking the pool. Hands down these were the nicest rooms we stayed in during our four city visit of Australia. The rooms are spacious, very clean and of a very high quality. The master bathroom was very large with a big jetted tub and large shower. The second bedroom had its own separate bathroom. The main family room was large and open with a large TV, comfortable seating and a large dining table.

The location is really great. Walking distance to all the shops/restaurants, beach and marina but not too close that noise would be an issue.

The staff were great with Lee in particular being incredibly helpful and patient while booking activities.

If you are planning a visit to Port Douglas, I certainly recommend Cayman Villas without reservation. Other tips for the visit would be to rent a car in Cairns and be sure to go feed the animals at the Wildlife Habitat!

The villas are extremely spacious and well appointed. We have travelled extensively and this is the cleanlinest apartments I have stayed in. Lee and her partner clearly take pride in their operation and ensuring their guests have a great stay.

The location is great and extremely convenient. A very short walk to Main Street, close to little larder and lantern fish cafes, as well as Coles.

The pool is heated and if you are traveling with little ones this is important. Most Port Douglas resorts have freezing cold lagoon pools.

The pool area also has a well equipped BBQ area and gazebo.

Some good bits but not worth the money

Lovely pool and staff very pleasant. Room was dirty on arrival with dirty crockery, stains on bench tops and side tables amongst other things. Management arranged a second clean with no fuss, but room still not up to standard of cleanliness one would expect.

Noise from apartment above was very loud with little if any sound insulation between apartments. Overall not worth the day rate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a family with two young children. The apartment was very spacious, everything was well kept and felt new. Comfortable beds, huge spa bath, decent well equipped kitchen, big sofas, quality furniture, etc. the pool was great, as were little touches like some pool toys and buckets & spades to borrow. Easy walk to the main street for restaurants, Coles, shops, etc.

Self contained apartments were very well appointed. Just be aware that this is not a resort and that you need to buy all of you own essentials.
The location of Cayman Villas is excellent. Very close to the main street with the shops and restaurants in walking distance.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment, with a full full kitchen, we cooked quite a bit ourselves. No elevators so watch out for access limitations. Will come again

Unfortunately with the change of owners there are some issues to iron out. We were denied access to our suite until nearly 3pm in the afternoon. A very hot wait. There is also nowhere to place luggage whilst waiting to access the suites, it just sits on the footpath for the world to see as they stroll pass the property.

Family of five, stayed for 7 nights in these fantastically located and spacious 3 bedroom apartments. The rooms were exceptionally clean and had very comfortable. The premises and rooms are as they are advertised and lived up to my expectations. The pool is large and very clean with plenty of room for loads of people to swim. The management are very helpful and friendly - helping out with tour bookings, eating out suggestions and directions. Having clean sheets, towels etc. mid week was a bonus and a nice touch.

Great Hotel, Great Location and Great Staff

This hotel was great, the property management was fantastic including telling us about things to do in the area. The pool was very large. During our stay there was a cyclone in the area (Cyclone Nathan) The staff kept us updated with printed out daily update of the storm.

The hotel was in walking distance to the beach and many shops and restaurants.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during the low season. Excellent location, although we had a car did not need to use it the whole time we were there as everything is within walking distance with the main shopping/restaurant road being a 3 minute walk away. As it was low season there was hardly anyone else at the apartment complex, we only saw another 3 couples over the 4 days and most times we were in the pool ourselves. The pool was great, it’s large clean and very inviting with a gas bbq area too. Underground parking was provided and the apartment itself (3 bedroom) was clean, airy and nicely decorated with everything provided. Kitchen contained everything you would need including a small starter pack of essentials (milk, sugar etc).

Staff were extremely helpful and our kids had plenty of options from the free DVD collection provided by the hotel.

My only gripe with the hotel was that although Wifi is available at the hotel, this was at an additional charge ($40 for 1 week) and although not expensive, I think in this day an age any descent hotel ought to provide ‘free’ wifi internet access (include it in your room rate, don’t charge extra!!). Secondly I would have expected pool towels to be provided but again this was an extra $5 each per towel for the duration of your stay!!

I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay there again myself. On the whole it was excellent apart from those two areas mentioned above.

Great Villas for Familes

My Partner and I were very happy with the Cayman Villas and cannot talk highly enough about the property and staff.

A couple of issues I feel is important to note to ensure your stay realises the the impressive potential Cayman Villas offers.

The Villas are a family property and the other guests were almost exclusively families. Although this wouldnt bother us normally, most of the ground floor apartments balcony and living areas look onto the pool area.

With allot of activity and children playing around the pool, we needed to keep the shutters closed most of the day missing out on natural light. There is absolutley no privacy in the ground floor apartments.

Will I be back..Definately. But I would make sure pre booking, not to be placed on the ground floor villas and bring my family also. Not a couples property.

Cayman Villas Port Douglas | Very Good Experience

I did lots of research before choosing a hotel for Port Douglas and although there are many choices there, I would say that we chose well. Cayman Villas is located just one street back from the main street in Port Douglas, Macrossan Street, so you are a short walk from everything you need, but far enough away from any noise of nearby bars, restaurants etc. Cayman Villas themselves are very good - they are serviced apartments and service is typically twice per week. The apartments are in excellent condition and had everything we needed for our stay in Port Douglas. The pool is great - large and deep enough for adults to enjoy but also has a small shallow section for kids as well as a jacuzzi - our baby loved it! The BBQ area is handy for cooking an evening meal to either eat by the pool or take back to your apartment. The on-site managers were helpful with any questions we had about local things to do etc. Overall, very happy with this stay and would recommend and return ourselves.

Wow - One of the BEST hotels EVER

EXCELLENT staff - only met Thor but he's probably the best asset this hotel has. The pool is fantastic and the BBQ facilities great! The room - well they are fantastic - spacious - every detail is perfect. big kitchen, plenty room to spread out. we were a party of 5 and we never felt cramped at any stage. Thor went \"above and beyond\" to help us with a dilemma - (elderly guest who couldn't handle stairs) and found us a ground floor room - no fuss, no problem. Couldn't recommend this place more! Just stay there.
