Great location, good value, staff very friendly and happy to suggest great day trips. Room not as clean as last time we stayed, but that could be a bad day for the cleaner. Think rooms vary on whether owners have updated or not.

The property was close to beach and pool was ok, but accomadation was not great.
Dirty, cobwebs beside bedside cabinets,
No fan in bathroom
Door stopped working and couldnt get in room, no one to help straight away. Turns out batteries in door lock was dead.
Only one change of linen, towels in the 8 days i was there.
Luck of the draw if you got a apartment that the individual owners had some pride in. Most were very dated and just as bad
I would not stay there again and have been to Port douglas 11 times. Never had experience like it.

The apartment was cold and dark with only a flyscreen and shutters on the bedroom window. The balcony was filled by the only table and bench seats for having a meal but because of the noise and smell from smokers in adjacent apartments it was impossible to sit there.
The freezer had no door so was iced up and dripped into the fridge compartment below.
The apartment was dusty and when it was serviced it was not vacuumed nor any surfaces cleaned.
On the upside the sheets and thick towels were changed twice during our stay. The complex was in a good position to access the beautiful beach and to walk into town but
we will not return

Main street is only 10 min walk away. Back gate access to the beach was convenient. House keeping was excellent.Apartment was old and needed painting. Bedroom fan and kitchen extractor fan didn't work, no kitchen plug. Filthy skirting/walls/ floor in bathroom and unfinished painting around the new toilet and which had been broken and roughly repaired.

The location was great, near the beach which is glorious and the town. The apartment was quite dirty and dusty and the beds smelled like other people’s sweat. Several things were broken including the dishwasher which they said they would look at but still hadn’t after a week. You had to pay to do your laundry, which was EXPENSIVE. Also we had trouble getting the television to work.

The staff were friendly and helpful, check in was easy and we were given a high chair for the baby. The room was really nice and big and a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was beautiful and warm. The hotel is so close to the beach and offer toys for the kids to borrow.
The only downsides are there is no lift so we had to get all our suitcases up and down 3 flights of stairs, and we did not fit in the underground parking so parking was out the back, further from our room with our luggage, and one night on the street when parking was full.
It is definitely worth the price and we would stay there again.

The property was in a good position, close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops.
The reception staff were helpful and friendly.
The pool and garden area were well maintained.
Unfortunately our apartment was near the main road, so there was a lot of traffic noise.
Also the bathroom needed an upgrade,the photos on the website were quite misleading.

We stayed at the reef club for a four nights. It was an ok stay.

Pros--
Nice area, close to town.
Large-ish space with a separate room for our daughter.
Small kitchen set up allowed us to make our own meals.
Laundry facilities were nice to have on site. One pack of detergent is provided in the room.

Cons--
Room/apt wasn't very clean. Lots of cobwebs on every light fixture. Floors made my feet dirty when I walked around.
Shower head is very low. I had to bend my back backwards to rinse the back of my head.
Shower didn't have a door or curtain, so mat was chronically wet.
Shower temp was tricky to get not too hot or cold.
Basically everything about the shower/bath actually ends up here.
There was a light on the patio that was on an automatic timer and didn't turn off until late and made the master bedroom very bright and hard to sleep for someone that needs it dark.
No elevator, so had to haul heavy luggage up flights of stairs.

They did clean the bathroom vent after it was mentioned in the check in feedback it was covered in dust, so that was nice.

It was ok for what it was, but could use some TLC.

This property has everything you need for a tropical getaway. The pool area is lovely and well maintained. The unit we stayed in had 2 big bedrooms, a small but adequate living area and basic kitchen. 10 minute walk to town via beach or road and less than 5 minutes to the beautiful beach.

Everything was a bit moldy. I get that it’s a tropical area but it’s just not cleaned enough in the bathroom. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty (clearly not checked between guests). The air freshener was way too strong (we put it in a spare kitchen cabinet when we were there). Location is really good but the whole property is a bit tired. It’s decent value for money though as it’s a lower priced property for the area. Despite the issues with cleanliness, we would consider staying again

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Reef Club, for the what you pay and the value in return it was worth it. A small note on things like no additional toilet paper, tissues, travel soaps and/or shampoo's being unavailable after you go through your 'starter kit' to us seemed a bit borderline, but the rooms are neat, the place is full of character, you can walk to the beach and every morning and night you can hear all that terrific wildlife that lives on the doorstep. Thanks.

Lovely 2 bedroom apartment in gorgeous grounds with pool and spa. Loved updated bathroom with large walk-in shower and 2 door access. Beds very comfortable. High cupboards in kitchen difficult to access unless tall so a stool would be helpful.

Overall it was ok, we had to get 2 pots replaced because they were not in a sanitary condition. They were nonetheless promptly replaced. Balcony light was not working but was promptly replaced when we brought it up. Rooms a bit dusty.

Good value and location

This is a good value resort, a little older so a bit rough around the edges, but comfortable, well located and with a friendly team. Don't stay here if you are worried about a bit of rust on a fan or a broken tile or 2. But if you don't mind then there is a 2 minute walk to the beach, a short stroll to the main street and a bottle shop and Chinese restaurant across the road. We would stay here again.

One would think you pay for an extra guest, you would be afforded the extra bedding and linen and towel .
Left note for housekeeping yet nothing actioned .
Approx $280 extra to have to sleep on the lounge ..

The beds were uncomfortable and the room was dirty. Also the toilet outside the office was filthy. No screens on the windows or sliding door so the room was musty and stuffy. Outdoor area was covered in leaves and debris so it was unpleasant to sit outside. Not enough towels or toilet paper supplied. The lady in the office was very nice.

Staff were helpful. Room was recently renovated and well presented. There is ongoing renovation and decorating but very little noise or inconvenience. The gardens were a bit shabby and needed some work.
Tiled hallways meant some footfall noise and late night voices echoing round. Location great and convenient for both beach and town. Heated pool very good, but not much lounging area if resort full.

Pool and surrounds were absolutely beautiful and fairly well maintained. Not too crowded on any day we were there in August. 1K lovely walk to town amidst lush vegetation. 5 min walk to beach. Owners very accommodating for extra night and supportive. Recommend avoid ground level where we spent extra night - too noisy. First level where we spent week was private and fairly quiet and reasonably spacious. Needs a spring clean but otherwise room surface clean. Some empathy given challenges for cleaners in these times. Old generation T.V. in first level room, poor quality picture and remote didn't work. Certainly no frills and need to B.Y.O. facewasher, but reasonable accommodation.

Not terrible, just tired and not particularly well maintained. Stained couch and cushions, old broken fridge and kettle, terrible mattress.

I’m 190cm tall and literally couldn’t stand up in the shower. Not just the shower head, but the ceiling in the shower was 185cm max. When the room was serviced (once a week) the toilet paper wasn’t replaced and reception doesn’t operate after 6pm (or answer the after hours phone) so had to go into town to buy some.

Shop around Port Douglas and book early you’ll get substantially better value for money.

Pool, spa and deck area were awesome. Pleasent check in process with great advice provided by staff member who was also very friendly at check in and check out. Unit itself was not great with strong musty smell in all areas of the unit. Pillows, bedding, lounges all had strong odours. Very dusty fittings and patio area had weeks of built up leaves and debris. Garden area next to deck had various rubbish, ropes, twisted metal etc in there. No glass windows in rooms, just louvre windows with solid slats so it was either no light and air or some air and a tiny bit of light.

Delightful accomodation with incredibly friendly and caring staff and managers who went above and beyond to ensure that our time in Port Douglas was as enjoyable as possible. Our private balcony had a beautiful view of the pool and was nestled in amongst picturesque nature and scenery. Close to main shopping precinct and a short walk to the beach. We will definitely be staying here again!

The manager was very nice & friendly and made us welcome upon arrival.
The room was comfortable but very basic amenities and no top up provided even though you stay for over 5 days. The pool was lovely but the water didn’t look clear and smelt a bit strong of chlorine.
The hotel’s position was great, close to the beach and the Main Street.

The heated pool was excellent. The communication was fantastic and the managers were very helpful and friendly.
Our apartment was quite run down- needed a spruce up. The second bedroom has no windows,the bathroom has no exhaust fan so always damp, the air conditioners were very loud- (need a service) and it needed a proper comfortable lounge so everyone could spread out. The cleaning could have been better. The resort is in a great position walking distance to everything.

Fine for the money.

Lovely location (although our room this time was noisy from the road). Pool, small but nice zone but a tad small, couldn’t find my happy place. BUT for the money it’s good. Port Douglas is expensive but a beautiful place.

Hubby and I plus our interstate cousin stayed 2 nights as an access point for Port Douglas and Daintree. Easy check in. The fridge and air-con were already running which was awesome.
Was as described and very comfy.
Only negatives was there is no lift so had to heave luggage upstairs. Very very minor hiccups not worth mentioning. Good value for the tariff we paid

I arrived at the accomodation and were placed in an apartment alongside the main road at the front of the building.
I found a fair amount of dead bugs and bees in the rooms.
The lounge chair was broken and TV remote did not work.
I reported these issues to staff the next morning after not getting much sleep due to the noise of the main road and the fact that the rooms were poorly sound proofed.
The lounge chair was never replaced and the tv remote was replaced with a second faulty remote. When I asked if they had any rooms available away from the road front I was informed that they did not and that my description of the room being noisy was incorrect.
Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Great communication from Resort prior to stay. Property situated close to beach. Parking is limited at the address and often park on street.
Property dated but that’s ok.
Cleanliness not up to my standards. You can have old/dated accommodation but when the bathroom/toilet smells like urine it’s a bit of a put off. The floors were tiles so I’m picking it’s engrained no matter how much cleaning you do.
The bathroom tap was difficult to turn off and ‘dribbled’most of the time.
The blanket we pulled out of the cupboard had stains/marks on and the other bedroom blankets had hairs on as well so not sure if clean or not and put me off using them.
The main sheets on the bed were lovely and clean though.
There were half eaten crackers in the main bedside cabinet and the couch looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time.
Amenities were good, pool was good size with a bbq area✅ Laundry functional✅.
I wouldn’t stay here again purely due to poor cleanliness.
I can do old and dated but not dirty.
I didn’t communicate this to the property owner at the time as I felt embarrassed telling them, and as we didn’t spend long at the accommodation I just put up with it. Sorry this is not a better review as it looked so promising.

Everything very nice. We enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly and the room was clean.
Upon arriving I was tired reception closed. Key left in an envelope marked 09 looking very much like room 60 instead of room 9. Perhaps just a number 9 would be better. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. It was a bit strange how one room had a double size bed. The other had 2 single beds pushed together.

Decent apartment, short walk to beach

We spent 5 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment (2 adults & a 5 y.o.) - We enjoyed our stay, it was a comfortable but basic apartment. It was a little on the small side - we fit comfortably but any extra people might be a bit of a squeeze. The decor throughout the apartment and complex was pleasant. While the outdoor space wasn't large - we really liked the gardens and pool area. We spent time each day in the pool, and it was a highlight for our 5 y.o. It was a short easy walk to the beach, and only about 10 minutes to the beginning of the shops. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, particularly with suggesting and booking tours.

Resort need to improve on quality control !

Air conditioners were replaced on the 4th day ! All 3 air conditioner were not working ! , microwave not working ! Toilet lock was broken and repaired on day 3 , balcony lock from bedroom broken - unable to lock ! Beautiful town and wonderful people ! Love the town and want to stay forever ! Nice location ! - Hope the resort owners quality control before handover to guest for use ! & put some manpower to do proper checkups and house keeping ! House keeping policy is it is done on the 6th day !

The apartments are nice enough size wise. 5min walk from the beach which is nice, not that you can swim in the sea. A good 20min walk into the Main Street restaurants & bars. The kitchenette stuff could have be cleaner. We had some unwashed cutting boards in the kitchen drawer. The pool was a nice size.

Overpriced and overrated.

No one at the check in counter, when I arrived right in check in time. Phone with static to call about my kept. Air conditioner didn't work and guy made excuse saying it's winter. Didn't care I'm from a colder place and found this hot. No signs to direct people.
Will not recommend. Stay at the Ramada instead.

L'appartement est situé dans une résidence très bien entretenue à 100 mètres d'une plage paradisiaque. Sable fin, eau transparente et cocotiers. Préférer la saison sans méduses, comme en juin, juste avant les congés annuels. Port Douglas est une très belle ville où l'on ne risque pas l'ennui.

unit had a bad smell to it. only 2 pieces of cutlery which when room is for 3 people does not really work out well.

Pretty good location.

An easy walk into town. Really good value. The pool was a decent size, enabling swimming as opposed to just a “cool off dip”. The patrolled swimming beach was very close as well as its restaurant and bar where you will find $9.00 pints of quality beer, even cheaper out of meal times! The meals were top class here and also good value.

Nice family hotel, close to all amenities

My family and I spent 6 nights at this hotel and found it to be in a good location, close to the beach and shopping strip.

Convenient but that's it.

We arrived 2 hours before check in,staff advised us that the room was ready to check in which was a thumbs up but after checking in, the thumbs up went to thumbs down.

Our room was a little underwhelming, a pillow had hair on it, dust on the tv unit, cob-webs on the bed heads, which was a little dissapointing.
The dishes in the cupboards were dirty and also the fridge.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, we had great small talk every morning.

The location was good, walking distance to the main street, beach and parks.

The pool is a great size , and was clean .

I won't classify this as a resort, I would say they are appartments.

I guess you get what you pay for.

Nice location and friendly staff

If some improvements made to the apartment it would be fantastic. Sofa and bed very uncomfortable. Need to supply bug spray. Also replace cooking pans

We loved the size of the space. Great pool. Friendly & helpful staff

GREAT PLACE

I usually stay at the Sheraton or QT when I go to Port Douglas...but got a last minute deal and chose this.....it was wonderful. Had a lower floor large flat with kitchen and lots of space and was near the pool. Of a night the local marsupial would come to visit me and I gave him a nibble on some food and was very happy. The pool is nice and relaxing and the manageress was wonderful to me. Will come again and stay now!

A little disappointed

Nice resort in a good location. Checked in to a 2 bedroom, and it was much smaller than expected. Our friends were in a 1 bedroom, and it seemed much larger. And the 1 bedroom balcony was bigger than the 2 bedroom balcony. Hard to fit four people on such a small balcony.
Will choose another property next time, that has more to offer for the same price.

Great self contained rooms and absolutely lovely staff! Everything was great - nice pool, big balcony, comfy bed and fab air conditioning. Only a 15 minute walk to town and 5 minutes to the beach. Only issues were a leaking tap and having to take our garbage out, which was a little unexpected! Cheers.

Handy Location -Good quality Apartments.

Good quality apartments in handy location a few minutes walk to township and beach. Good cooking facilities . We were 3 women in a 2 bedroom apartment with double bed and 2 singles. Plenty of room and fairly quiet. Good Pool.

Nice hotel in quite location

Nice one bedroom apartment, which was located by the pool on the ground floor. Place was clean and staff were friendly. 3 min walk to the beach and 10 min to town.

Nice but tired.

Whilst the apartment was a good size and comfy, it was tired and outdated. Out the back there was a row of rubbish bins which weren't very pleasant. It was only a small walk to the beautiful 4 mile beach and handy to the main shops. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
