The hotel was situated 10 mins from the city, lovely location.
Staff were really helpful and friendly. The beds were so comfy we had the most amazing sleep, and the blackout curtains! The shower was amazing too! Would definitely staff here again!

Room was spacious and clean. Fridge did not work but the staff kept our food for us. Free parking was super helpful. Would recommend!

Great breakfast!
Paul
Great hotel in town. If you have a car and are looking for a central hotel you won’t get better than this. Room was immaculate.
Dick
Have used this hotel many times over the years as it is very convenient for Cork City and has parking. The recent refurbishments have added to the experience. Breakfast is good and I like that it is fresh cooked and not a buffet.
Martin
Perfect location, plenty of bars and cafes within walking distance. Room was very spacious and clean.
Vicki
Comfortable stay. Within walking distance to centre. Friendly staff.

Our hotel room was clean and in a great location, easy to walk into the city center. The hotel room was very warm and the window only opened a crack, it was very hard to cool the room down.
Kathleen
Great amenities and staff. Very good Continental breakfast arrangement and easy walking around Cork city center.
The room felt a little too warm, even with the heat turned off, so we left the window open, but that meant noise from the busy night life on the street below. Not too bad, but a heads up to others - there's a fan in the closet!

Well located property about 8 minutes walk to the middle of Cork. Large room appears recently renovated to good standard. Some other areas eg hallway carpets look like they are yet be upgraded. Note the small fridge turns off when you leave the room/ remove your keycard - this is a design flaw. Some larger glasses and coffee cups in the room would be better. Friendly and efficient staff. Buffet breakfast was good.
Kathleen
Great hotel. Staff were excellent really friendly and very helpful nothing was too much for them . Breakfast was brilliant and plenty of choice.
Ann

It is a very good place to stay you are in walking distance of things but sometimes you need a taxi and the front desk will get it for you unless they forget to call them like they did to me and I missed my tour and I didn’t get anything back so I lost a lot of money

Great location for visiting cork city
We enjoyed a relaxing two night stay. Our room was lovely, modern & very clean. The staff were lovely & friendly. Really appreciate the free parking.
The hotel is located easy walking distance from the city centre. Would recommend Liberty grill for breakfast.

Very good hotel located close to Cork centre. Excellent room with modern decor - all floors serviced by a lift. Good Wifi, free parking on site. Our booking included breakfast - very good and cooked to order. Only negative - no hair shampoo or conditioner provided. Would stay sgain.

Located pretty central in Cork City and great to have a secure area to park.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, especially the ones at the front desk. The rooms in the Lodge are nicely updated and very comfortable.

Nice staff - comfortable room - fantastic shower

There is no a/c so it was very warm in the room. Windows opened fairly wide & there was a fan in the room. 5 - 10 min. walk to some very good restaurants.

My wife and I stayed at 3 supposedly \"4-Star\" hotels in 2 weeks. The Lancaster Lodge was the only one of the three that really measured up to that designation. Everything was great! The full Irish breakfast had a wide variety of offerings, and everything we tried was well prepared and promptly served. The entire staff was attentive and courteous. The facility was small, intimate, well-maintained, and beautiful! The city center was only blocks away. I only wish we were planning a return visit sometime soon.

Nadine
Everything. Great breakfast!
David
Good location, has car park
Good location, clean, modern, has a car park, which is rare in Cork City Center. The breakfast (included in my stay) was good only thing I wish it had was a gym and/or leisure center.

Great Place to Stay
Top-class, affordable guest house that is on par with any 4* hotel in terms of room quality, comfort, service and amenities. Just 3 minutes walk to the university and 5 minutes walk to the city centre. Highly recommended :-)
Danny
Good
Irene
The hotel is remodeled and is very nice. The location is also very good, close to the university and not far from the city center. The room was extremely hot though, and there is no AC. Unfortunately leaving the windows open would not help either, the room stayed very warm even though outside was cold.
Paul

Great location with an easy stroll to nearby shops and pubs. Parking was great. Gorgeous bathroom and a comfy room of reasonable size. Nice bed and very quiet despite being in the city. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay. It would have been good to know that breakfast was not included and that there would be a charge. Otherwise, nice, clean accommodation, terrific staff.

Excellent venue for our needs..weekend break. Very modern comfortable room although a little on the warm side but that’s just a personal thing! Fantastic shower..walk in with plenty of room & lovely pressure!

Modern stay in Cork
This was a modern and refurbished hotel. Room and bathroom were spacious. Staff were helpful, and there was a lift. Parking on site was free. It was a little walk to town centre, but easy. Breakfast was good too.
Deborah
Great location. Linens and towels were lovely. Room is newly renovated. Love the decor. Bathroom lovely. Nice and big. TV has nice big screen.
Steven
Property was nice. A little away from things to do but not to far. We could still walk. Parking could be a problem. They don’t seem to have enough spots. Twice we left to walk around and another person asked if we were driving so they could have our parking spot.
Shaun
Great Choice
Room was ready early which was great after driving down from Dublin. Room was spacious and clean with all the amenities I needed (tea/coffee/bottled water/great shower/TV/fridge).
I only had the continental breakfast which was good value and the cooked dishes coming out to other guests looked really good too.
Hotel is well located with the city centre just a short walk away and the free parking in their own car park was ideal.

Great hotel, excellent location near the city centre of Cork.
Robin
We added a night to our stay at this hotel. The location was great and the hotel was nice. Staff were super nice. Breakfast was a great add.
Louise
Room refurbishments are very good but still in-hand so the hotel was noisy during our time. And this area of cork can get pretty noisy too but overall we had a very good stay.
Emily
Elevator was out of service but I think it's cause they're renovating which will make it super great!
Carol A
Affordable perfection
The staff were so very friendly, cheerful and helpful. My room was beautifully renovated, everything fresh and relaxing. The bathroom was perfect and absolutely clean. The hotel's location was perfect for visits with old friends and for an event at the University.
Dalen
newly renovated rooms.
MARITE
Great place!
Breakfast was outstanding, bed was very comfortable, free water in refrigerator. Close to everything, free parking
Caroline
Great property but the construction going on is a definite drawback since it was crazy loud starting at 8am . If you can check out before the noise starts great otherwise it is unacceptably loud and you won't be able to relax in your room
Jacqueline
This was a great option for us, walking distance to everything, great breakfast included and started early so we could explore
Simon
Great Stay in Cork
Had a great stay at the Lancaster Lodge and a lovely time in Cork. Our room was newly rennovated to a really high standard and bed was really comfortable. Hotel is in a great location, friendly and helpful reception staff and a great breakfast. We would definitely stop here again
Christopher
This location is great...it's easy to walk down to the English market and to Oliver Plunkett street. We had great dining out and the hotel staff was kind. Breakfast was good.
Jessica
We stayed at Lancaster Lodge for one night while in Cork during our Ireland travels. The hotel is very nice and well kept. Check in process was smooth. Extremely convenient to have onsite parking while in the city. Plenty of dinner options just a short walk away. Breakfast the following morning was great! Definitely worth the stay!
Bryan
Great location ands friendly staff with dependable service. Not the best acoustics but good value for money.

In the centre of Cork with car parking, our newly refurbished room was the perfect spot to rest and regroup after a long journey. Room was amazing and the staff helpful. Would stay there again.

Great location in a quieter setting
Lancaster Lodge is removed from the bustle yet still conveniently located to UCC and city centre. As of late March 2025, there renovations look to be progressing nicely.
Sayjal
Great option for anyone visiting UCC and also wanting access to the city center.

Overall good. Only compliant was we put a do not disturb sign outside the door to indicate we didnt want room service but it still got serviced. Not sure if a random stranger switched the sign after we left or what not.
Michelle
Very conveniently located!!

Very nice hotel with good breakfast
Alissa
My room had an infestation of spiders. They took over the wall and the windows. I tried to move rooms, but the hotel was booked. They told me there was nothing they could do. My parenter qnd I attempted to kill as many as we couod to get through the night, but it was an impossible task. The spiders woupd go down the cieling onto the bed. Nothing was done during checkout because \"there was no manager on site\" it was ridiculous.
Peuh Cheng
Central location to all attractions . Property is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful .
Brenda
Very helpful staff at check in, lovely big bedroom. An excellent choice for breakfast and the food was really good.
Only negative was no food in hotel apart from breakfast and no bar facilities.
A very enjoyable stay and would return if ever in Cork again.

Wonderful discovery
What a discovery 5 out of 5 everything as good as promised The breakfast was amazing delicious made to order smoked salmon and scrambled eggs can't wait to return and the best of all the free ultra safe parking.
Dick
Great base for a city weekend
Lancaster Lodge is ideal for a city centre base with parking. Everything is within walking distance and the hotel is reasonably quiet at night. The breakfast is good. The rooms are showing signs of needing some maintenance and sprucing up but it is clean and well run. Rooms near to the lift are noisy.
Steven
Great help from the front desk.
Great visit wished we had more time the front desk staff were extremely warm and inviting. He made a map to help us find places to eat and recommended a few places. One of his recommendations we were fortunate enough to get into and it was delicious.
Brian
Great stay
We enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and hard working. Great breakfast and great bars not to far a walk (around 5 minutes). Hotel is in a good location too.

Good central location
Realy lovely, big room! Very clean and comfortable. Room was very warm and couldn't get the air-con to work, but the windows opened. but this was reported to reception who asked someone to take a look. Really nice breakfast.
Anthony
I liked this property and would stay there again. Did not eat in the hotel. Lighting in the bathroom could be a bit better, but other than that this hotel met or exceeded my expectations.
