My daughter and I stayed for just one overnight on our travels back to Dublin. The location is on the water, outside the city, but is a small, beautiful hotel. The only downside was that the lift was not working so we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs, but the view over the harbor was splendid! The amenities had everything we needed and the staff was so attentive. While they do have a lovely restaurant on property, we walked just down into the town where there are many other dining options as well. And appreciated the free parking under the hotel! Highly recommend this hotel!

The room was enormous with 2 king sized beds and the view was amazing. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious especially the breakfast. The car park is small but we managed to find a space each time.

Location was great as was the underground free parking. Room was fine, especially for a one night stay although a bottle of water wouldn’t go amiss. Breakfast was poor! After sitting down to an uncleaned table and dirty cup (for which we received an apology and new cup) the menu was given to us with the continental buffet offerings and the a la carte choices. When we asked where the continental buffet was we were told there wasn’t one and we could order want we wanted and it would be brought to us. That was ok and maybe understandable as it was quiet at breakfast. The fruit salad arrived and it was a bowl full of fizz from fermenting over who knows how many days. We were given the choice of white or brown bread toast and after ordering brown we got white… there was no brown. No option was given to order a speciality coffee- just filter coffee- even though I later saw a staff member make themselves one from the machine. The eggs and bacon was tasty and the porridge adequate. Reception did give us a late check-out which was appreciated.

This was a great location with large comfortable rooms and fabulous views. Service was excellent and the restaurant was also very good.

We were worried that the arrival of a cruise ship in front of the hotel in the morning would be noisy and disturbing, but it wasn’t an issue.

What a wonderful hotel. We have traveled around the world and this hotel was one of the best. It's a beautiful small older hotel with such character and is very close to everything in the lovely town of Cobh and only a few minutes to Cork. The rooms are a amazing and the views of the water are just incredible. Nice restaurant overlooking the water on the property for dinner and breakfast. You will not be disappointed in this gem of a hotel.

Nice little harbor inn. This inn is directly next door to the Cobb Historic immigration building. Where my families ancestors left to America. The Inn was comfortable and right on the water. Staff could be a little more friendly and interested in how they could be of assistance but I might be just being nitpicking. All of our other accommodations for the two weeks seemed to be interested that we were staying with them.

Outstanding location, 2 blocks from the town square. Free parking under the hotel. Cobh was one of my favorite stops on our 10 stop, 3-week trip around the emerald isle. Each morning there was a new cruise ship viewable from the breakfast patio, but the town was perfectly walkable and not over-run by the cruise ship passengers. The Cobh Heritage Center is across the street and they helped my find some ancestors from Cork. It was a short, but invigorating walk uphill to line of the colorful houses on West View (referred to as Deck of Cards) with the Cathedral over the top.

Loved the property I wish I booked more days! The room and view were amazing there was no AC but the coastal breeze was enough to cool down the room. I loved this hotel and hope to go back in the future. Super clean and just amazing aesthetic. I think it’s the nicest rooms I’ve had in a hotel. They will hold bags for if you are too early to check in but it’s held in the lobby and not in a separate locked room.

Reception good - nice welcoming staff. Great location and good parking below the hotel . Great sea view from our room and a few minutes walk to the railway station for our day trip into Cork. Heritage centre next door worth a visit - a lot more interesting and more to it than it looks from the outside. Ate in the restaurant - service was ok and food was ok but menu not very exciting. Staff could be more attentive as we had to keep asking for things. All Brits please note - at breakfast which was otherwise good - they DON’T DO brown sauce - suggest you bring your own!

The hotel did not have a lift, so it was difficult for seniors getting luggage up to the rooms. Rooms were clean and of average size. Great view overlooking harbor boat and ship traffic. Reception ladies were very nice and helpful. We found the restaurant to be decent, but slow and overworked staff.

I loved being on the water, with easy parking underneath the hotel. The breakfast was amazing and worth the extra money. We stayed during off season, but I loved opening our window to smell the sea air. I also lo ed the close proximity to the Cobh Heritage Centre and the Titanic Museum. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

This hotel was very different from what I expected from the pictures/reviews. The rooms are the equivalent to the cheapest, most uncomfortable hotel chain in America. Mattresses are thin and sunken in and almost impossible to sleep on. I could never get the shower to give warm water, it was either scalding or cold. Coffee at breakfast was instant, but the rest of breakfast was very good. I don’t mind a hotel being old, we stayed at some lovely old b and bs here, but this one, although my hopes were high due to pictures and reviews, was more worn and in desperate need of an update from beds to showers/tub. Spackling drips all over tub bottom where I guess they patched holes.

Great views over the water, pleasant stay

Slightly old fashioned hotel, but comfortable with large room, all the things included that we needed, plus a beautiful view over the water. Our standard twin was actually a double and single bed which was a bonus. Another like was getting 2 suitcase racks instead of just the one like in other hotels.

Breakfast was really good, and we enjoyed dinner we had in the restaurant too.

Staff were all friendly and welcoming.

There is no lift, so you'll need to carry cases up the stairs.

The only downside being overlooking the water is that you may get woken early by cruise ships coming into dock right by the hotel. Think it started at 6am, although my son slept through the first part. Nice to watch, but if you're a light sleeper be prepared to watch it rather than sleep through.

We'd stay again.

We had a nice and quiet stay at this hotel, until the morning. We did not realize that cruise ships docked there and we were awakened early in the morning by a very large cruise ship. It was our fault for not realizing that really, just be aware. Other than that it was a really nice stay. We arrived late and the young man at the desk accommodated us and let us get a drink at the bar before heading off to bed.

Although the views from the property are lovely and the location is perfect, I can’t give more than 2 stars. I’d give 1 star, but the staff were very kind and helpful. However, my room was very hot, and the window was set up to barely open at all. The walls are also very thin, so you can hear any and all sounds, both inside and outside the property. The parking below the building was very difficult to get in and out of (I rented a small car, thankfully). Finally, the dishes at breakfast were dirty, and there was a hair in my food at dinner. I really expected to enjoy my stay here based on other reviews, so I’m definitely disappointed.

To me this is a 3 star plus.

From the time we arrived , we were greeted with a welcome smile.Check in was super fast. The view from our room was to die for. Amazing !!!!!!. The room was large and spotless.We booked a 3 night stay and had 3 great sleeps. We booked the restaurant everynight and found the food excellent. The breakfast was lovely. Every member of staff went out of their way to make out stay very enjoyable. It is evry central to Spike Island, titanic experience and next door to the Heritage Center. To sit and watch all the ships coming and going was magical witha glass of wine.Woke up one morning to find a cruise ship berted just a bit away from our window.Some view.The hotel also has they own parking.Will be back guaranteed.

Watersedge Hotel in Cobh

I only have two criticisms of this hotel: there is no lift, however a staff member carried my heavy luggage up the stairs, so that was very helpful. Also it would have been nice if they’d had a fan we could use, as it has been unseasonably warm, and there is no air conditioning (which is the same in all hotels we’ve stayed in on this trip, I guess they haven’t had use for it before!). Apart from that, the hotel is impeccably located, beautiful views and a nice sea breeze through the window after sunset. Parking is conveniently located on site. Would recommend!

This lovely, quite hotel is centrally located on the tourist waterfront portion of Cobh and directly adjacent to the Cobh Historical Centre and cruise ship dock. The hotel provided a wonderful self-serve full breakfast and had secure inclusive underground parking. Our well appointed room had a beautiful harbour view as well as free internet service.

We stayed in the charming town of Cobh during the offseason, so the hotel was not very busy, but the staff was welcoming and the room, directly overlooking the water, was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the ships entering and leaving the port. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

3 rooms booked none of us slept well due to pipes making foghorn sounds when next door used their bathroom..room 10. Room 17 & 19 were cold and generator/vent noises going all through the night . Also moving funiture sounds very late into the night heard in both rooms. Rooms have comfortable beds but are shabby, better options at less cost. Have stayed here before but in the summer, definitely would not stay again in winter season.

The WatersEdge is well located in Cobh. Many of the rooms face the water. Rooms are spacious and clean.Bar has a lovely outdoor terrace. The restaurant was closed for the two nights of our stay which was disappointing. Breakfast is buffet style with a pretty good selection although the hot food was not very hot. Staff were very friendly and it is a relaxing hotel.

Very nice room for its location and view of the water. There seemed to be a problem with the toilets. When you flush the pipes would scream. As a result we would resist flushing at night in fear of waking the entire building. Expensive breakfast. Overall I enjoyed our trip to Cohb and would stay there again.

Very disapointed upon our arrival at the hotel we were advised at reception that our room was not ready yet and could we wait a little while longer for it to be cleaned.this we did and finally we got our room we put our bag in the room and decided to go and have a stroll around town. After having something to eat we returned to the hotel to relax my husband decided to use the toilet and when he lifted the toilet seat found dried blood on the underside of the seat. So it was quite obvious the room had not been cleaned properly i then went to reception and showed the night manager pictures of the toilet seat which she then downloaded to her phone saying she was going to forward them to head office. Then she herself came to clean the toilet and when she saw the stains she said they looked as if they had been there for a few days. She offered to move us to another room but we were very tired and had already settled in so we declined her offer.
