The staff went above and beyond when I had a personal issue booking a train. All staff, restaurant servers and housekeepers were all very pleasant, helpful and just genuine. We loved the vinyl selection in our room and also the coffee machine.
Michael
We really loved our stay at The Dean in Cork. The hotel had a fun, stylish feel and the room had several great touches. The shower was excellent, the minibar had a great selection, and we enjoyed using the vintage-style radio to connect our phone and play music.
We also stopped by the rooftop for breakfast, which was a great way to start the day. The location was very convenient as well, especially since it was only about a five-minute walk to the train station the morning we left.
Overall, this was one of our favorite stays and we would happily stay here again.

Not good

Very noisy in every room, the tracks are running just outside the building. The gym is really well equipped. The rooms are really small. I don’t know how can you operate 3rd floor if the elevators can’t be used from this floor.
Phoebe
We had an amazing two night stay in The Dean, Cork. We are doing a roadtrip around Ireland and this was by far the best hotel. The pool and gym are fantastic and the bed was also very comfy. Whilst the room was small, we still had everything we needed. The window seat was a nice touch too. We directly overlooked the train station which we weren’t disturbed by. The only pain is dragging your cases across bridges from the car park they recommend to park in. We got this for €16 a day. We explored local towns like Cobh and Kinsale too. A lovely place!
Samuel
Great place for young couples on city break or mingling professionals. Wouldn’t recommend to older couples or to families. Lounge is a good vibe though table service could be more attentive. Beds are a bit soft for my liking personally. Showers are amazing!
Julia
Super clean and aesthetically pleasing hotel! Everything is beautiful and carefully thought out. The room itself is a tad bit small but still works! The AC didn’t go below 18c and barely would blow during the heatwave Ireland was having and the drain in the shower wouldn’t drain so you stood in water. Other than that I would still recommend this hotel!
Christy
Cute hotel! The room was comfortable and super cute. The food at Sophie’s was excellent.
Lucy
Great room!

We stayed at the Dean Cork on a 8-day road trip around Ireland. Since we were driving a car we had hired, it took us a little bit of time to figure out the parking (in the train station parking lot). Staff at the Dean explained it to us and it made sense once we had parked. It was also easy to walk to the older part of Cork and to the English Market--maybe 15 minutes walk from the hotel.
Michaela
Fantastic stay
Tara
Great all around.
STEVEN
Parking was harf to find based on the directions of the desk clerk
Loretta
Nice hotel. Very good and plentiful breakfast. Strong coffee.
Tasneem
Right by train station so is noisy if you’re on a lower floor and on the side of the station
Temp control in room was not working

Absolutely gorgeous hotel with a stunning lobby, wonderfully appointed and designed rooms and a great rooftop restaurant. The detail in the design is amazing - from the farmhouse planked walls, mirrored ceiling and artwork in the hallways and leather lined railings and door pulls - I could go on. Plus the smell throughout the property that is dispensed at regular intervals must have crack in it because I couldn’t get enough of it and did not want to leave. A little Smeg fridge was fully stocked, bathroom was beautifully tiled (but pretty spare in terms of supplies - there are none) and bed was comfy. Would definitely stay here again and eager to check out the other properties in this hotel chain.
David
The Dean was a great hotel. Easy location to walk into the city and get around by public transport. The staff were lovely. Definitely recommend.
Sarah
Fantastic hotel , great location and facilities
Greg
The staff at the hotel was super helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and had just the right amount of space. Also the rooms are outfitted with a great coffee machine and free water. May sound strange, but the shower in the room is amazing - something that is a wonderful luxury after sight seeing all day.
Cathy
Beautiful hotel. Reception and check were lovely. Staff greeted us with a welcome shot and were very friendly. Room is clean and very stylosh. Small, but has everything you need. Had a drink in the bar upstairs. Service was very slow, but otherwise lovely.
Sean
My second time staying here and would highly recommend The Dean. Excellent check in Sunday evening by two very professional staff. Lovely clean rooms and facilities. Great property at a reasonable price
todd
Pub on the 6th floor is awesome. Food was fantastic. Rooms are so cool.
George
all good
Steven
food in the restaurant was average but the customer service was excellent. our coffee machine didn't work so i asked reception for some sachets instead but they didn't arrive. my husband got trapped in the bathroom as the door came off the roller/runner as he shut it, luckily |I forgot my headphones so came back to the room and managed to hook the door back on....if this had been a solo traveller they could have been stuck until the maid came in the next day... it may be an idea to put the phone in the bathroom!
Rebecca
Quality hotel. Our suite is roomy and well appointed
Gary
Top class hotel. Will stay again
Valery
Staff was very helpful, especially in arranging taxis.
Martin
The dean hotel is an about a 5-10 min walk towards the town. Very nice hotel and nice ambiance. Close to the buses and rail.
Jeff
Great vibe, good location, friendly staff

Great stay
Renee
The location was great. Hotel was well appointed. Staff was very friendly (especially Maeve). Standard rooms are a tight fit but cute. Sadly, construction blocked the views of the water. Pool was tepid and steam room didn't work. All in all, would stay here again.
Todd
This hotel is fantastic, right next to train station, close walk to town and an amazing restaurant and rooftop bar! Best eggs Benedict I’ve had!
Meaghan
We had the best stay at the Dean Hotel. I highly recommend. Everything you want to see is a 5-35 min walk. Great for exploring the city.
The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond. While visiting Ireland, I found out my great aunt had passed away. I was in need of finding a place to print a picture of her and Flowers. When explaining everything to the receptionist, she helped me with printing off my great aunt’s picture and gave a really great recommendation to a flower shop, and I was able to perform a small funeral for great aunt. I wish I could remember her name. She is a gem and deserves a raise and a bonus for doing what she did.
We also really enjoyed Sophie’s (a restaurant and bar) which is on the Top floor and had a blast gabbing with Wayne the bar manager. He made us laugh and was great for conversation. The room was so comfortable, clean and it felt like we had one of the best views of the city. Come here if you want to get a taste of the life and people of Cork.

Amazing staff .. clean room and everyone was so
elainie
Has a pool in a gym a rooftop restaurant drinks are little expensive but they were made very well if you want to take a spin class you have to do a reservation, but it's very close to the train station and bus terminals a little far from downtown but everything is walkable
Jessica
Really lovely and clean room. Friendly staff! We loved it here and highly recommend. The reception is lively at night, like a nightclub, but we couldn’t hear it from our room so no complaints.
elainie
Very nice hotel. Clean rooms
Thomas
Great
Claire
Room fine, Nice touch to use gym and thermal suite facilities. Staff - service was fine although sometimes a bit too casual. Didn’t find train too noisy but grateful of ear plugs.
Calum
Been one of my favourite hotels in Cork since it opened but think it’s changed management recently or at least had a bit of a shake up as the experience this time didn’t feel the same.
The beds have always been of fairly awful standard with 2 singles pushed together to make a double but they are now really showing their age and have become very uncomfortable and noisy. The bedrooms no longer have the custom dressing gowns that used to be a nice touch and the steam room in the thermal suite was also out of order for our stay. We also sadly didn’t have our room cleaned despite it being vacated at lunch time and our TV had 3 lines across the centre of the monitor.
It’s a truly fantastic venue with great staff and I still really love the gym and thermal suite but I’m not sure I would rate the hotel rooms and stay at 4 stars any longer.

Fab stay loved the decor sophies bar food excellent
Clive
Avoid Sophie’s, bit like Macdonalds with a drinks licence. Cold room, very average menu, food served cold , overpriced
Kara
Great rooms
David
Hotel was modern and fun. Parking was a nightmare. Nothing easily accessible and you will be walking a long distance with your bags, hopefully not in the rain.
Karen
Didn’t have breakfast. Yes shops nearby.
Philip Matthew
First time staying in The Dean in Cork, was expecting high hopes, but unfortunately it disappointed me!
Given a room that should only be used as a single occupancy room! I felt very claustrophobic and confined!
The layout of the room was completely all over the place!
Service at breakfast was chaotic on both days!
Definitely no WOW FACTOR HERE!!!

Staff were great, hotel is really nice it’s in a great location to walk into the city and far enough out too not be loud etc at night. Our only issue was there was works being undertaken on the railway line behind the hotel and we had to change room, the staff were great about this
Keith
Unusual practice of paying a deposit on the room. Not normal across other hotels I have stayed at. Usually just take a card number.
Rebecca
We had a fantastic stay at The Dean Hotel. Room was lovely, very clean. Staff at the hotel bar were very attentive. Thank you!
David
Amazing hotel but parking is a disaster
Melissa
The room was stunning - the pool facility outstanding. Parking around the corner at train station for car. Close proximity to rivers. Great pool for relaxing in after a long day.
Nathan
Super clean, and luxurious hotel. Right next to the train station, and many many food and bar options.
Rory
Good room, converted to twin on request
Kevin
Amazing hotel! Clean, modern and convenient.
Alex
Absolutely loved this hotel, already want to return. Room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. The rooftop bar is lovely and the views are brilliant. Great place to base yourself, a small walk to the main streets and a very luxurious and comfy hotel.
Jaskinder
When staying at this hotel make sure you ask for the opposite side to Railway station. Stayed for 1 night & distribution from railway station throughout the night & early hours of the morning, impact quality of sleep. Hotel overall is lovely but quality of sleep is poor. They provided earplugs in room , which don’t help at all.
Abigail
Great location, good spa
Brendan
Really clean room and no complaints from me.
Ashley
Comfortable rooms, nice staff, cute views, close to everything.
Luke
Limited breakfast menu. Rude waitress.
Kaitlyn
Very clean and staff was super friendly. Parking was a bit hard to find but they helped when we had questions. Food was amazing for our first Irish breakfast.
Julia
Not a great night sleep
Our stay Started off very strong. But failed at the service in the hotels restaurant. Very very slow. Other customers received their drinks and food well before us and then we were rushed out. The bed also was two twin size beds pushed together to create a king size. This was not desirable or described in the room description. Location however, very convenient. Just wished the room and service was better.
Melissa
Room was clean and comfortable. Sophia's restaurant has an excellent menu. Enjoyed the breakfast selections and coffee.
Yuliia
Beautiful interior.
Roberto
Beautiful rooms and lobby. The gyms pretty awesome too! Best gym I’ve seen in a hotel!
Yvonne
Modern and newer hotel. The shower was the best!!!! And while the room was small, it was comfortable and offered all we needed. We enjoyed breakfast one morning and it was delicious as was the fresh coffee. We also stayed for dinner one evening….wonderful pizza!!! The location is ideal for train travel, as the station is next door, but you never heard a bit of evidence that it was. A nice walk into Cork city center for sites like the English Market and the Cathedral. I would certainly stay at The Dean in Cork again. Thank you.
Claire
Loved the hotel itself- new, modern and felt like such a nice getaway! Our one (main) downside would be the location right next to the train station- the train horns and brakes were LOUD and came and left quite frequently. They left late into the night and started early morning, thus impacting a great night sleep. Nice for proximity of getting to/ from the train station, but keep in mind the noise! Otherwise we found the area to be fairly walkable, and enjoyed exploring the English market area!
William
Lovely hotel and facilities
Brandon
Hotel was modern fun updated and clean. Quick walk to the train station bus terminal and places to eat.
Terry
We stayed here a year and a half ago, and it was awesome. This time I was so disappointed in it. We walked into reception and the music was so loud we couldn’t even hear the person checking us in. I booked a “super” room and what we got was a super SMALL room with hardly any amenities. Information I received about the car park was completely inaccurate.
Breakfast this morning was disappointing as well. Service was slow, no one checked on us after the food was delivered. I don’t see us ever staying here again.

This hotel was amazing, the staff was friendly and professional… And completely helpful. Jesus provided lots of useful information for us so we had a good time at the local places. The hotel is conveniently located, the only bad part is they don’t have parking, but they do have a parking lot next to the train station that’s close by. The building itself is fantastic… And the highlight was Sophie, which is the restaurant at the top of the hotel. It provides an amazing view. And our server David was extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the area. He made our experience wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel, this will always be our hotel when we visit Cork.

On a business trip
Room was overlooking the railway.
Powerwashing engines seemed to go on all night then trains started up at 5am
Should have been advised.
Earplugs provided in room but when on business and catching an early flight you worry about not hearing alarm.
Never slept. Will not use again

Super close to train station. Excellent restaurant. Very helpful staff.
Shana
Parked at the train station as it was a little more affordable. Beautiful property!
Nasira
Trendy hotel, central, parking nearby, access to great shops and food
John Wade
The rooms and all common aread are charming, super clean, and have great amenities. Every interaction with the staff was great. The lobby bar and rooftop terrace restaurant were exceptional. Breakfast at Sophie’s on the rooftop is a must! The location is great with perfect access to the train, car parking, busses and a very vibrant business district. I can’t recommend The Dean Cork highly enough. I would come back to Cork just to stay here.
Charles
Very nice hotel, smartly decorated, and a lovely bar/restaurant area at the top. Terrible breakfast though!
Sandra
Absolute perfection
Yu
The hotel is conveniently located right next to the train station, making it very easy to travel to Cork by train. It has everything you need and is also within walking distance of the attractions we wanted to see.
Darlene
Nice hotel. Next yo train station so can be noisey.
Carl
Enjoyed sauna, steam room and pool area. Parking is not on site which we knew upon booking but a walkable hotel to things.
Marion
Good stay in Cork.
Hallways could be better lit. Staff excellent.
DONNA
Very nice hotel, but if you're a light sleeper, request a room away from the train station and the gym.We were given a room directly above the gym and I was awakened at 6 am with loud, thumping music.I spoke to the hotel staff and they kindly moved us to another room.
Robert
Great interior
Kelly
Clean rooms, walkable. Small and not a lot of room to store luggage. Our room heard a lot of noise from the trains. Also, one night a large trucked idled for a very long time and it was very loud! The shower though— 10 stars!
Phoebe
Excellent birthday trip
Had a fantastic time at The Dean - two nights to celebrate my partners birthday and it was very special. We really enjoyed the use of the facilities (gym, pool, sauna/steam) and had a delicious dinner at Sophie’s up on the top floor.
The room was gorgeous and the bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept on!!
Would love to return.

Dean Cork
We enjoyed our stay at the Dean Cork. It is next to the Cork Train Station, so very convenient if you are traveling by train. It is also only about 1/2 mile from the bus station. The staff were great. Also liked our dinner at Sophie's on the 6th floor
Pattie
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful

This is a very new modern Hotel which is located very close to the train station which is great for travelers.
The location also accommodated for reasonable walking distance getting to the mainstreets of the City Primary dining and Pubs.
The hotel decor was very upbeat & modern. My room unfortunately faced the tracks so I heard the rail noises. The hotel did provide ear plugs.
I like the fact that there was a bar lounge on the main lobby as well as a Restaurant at the top. The food I ordered was very good. However I did note that it's primarily a pizza serving menu. The Waiting and Bar staff were really friendly.
The room size was decent the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of in-room items for purchase including the bar fridge which was a nice perk for accessibility.
Price range was a bit high, failing to realize the cruise ships coming in. August being in the peak of tourist season.

The Dean has very comfortable and stylish-fun rooms with turntables. Weather you have a view of the city or the train station, it is still quite. The lounge on the first floor is wonderful for writing and working and Sophie's restaurant has lovely food and a fabulous view!
Elaine
Smart, contemporary hotel. Comfortable bed and the best hotel shower ever. 15min walk to city centre. Next door to station; convenient but noisy.
