I unfortunately was victim of Hurricane Melissa and spent my vacation as well as many extended days in Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. Although I was not able to enjoy my vacation to its full potential due to the weather circumstances, I wouldn't have chosen a better hotel to stay at during those difficult times. Words would not be able to describe the gratitude and how appreciative I am for the entire team that took care of us. From the staff, to the manager (Keneve), and the GM Adrian. They were very attentive and gave it their all despite the circumstances. Amazing people, amazing food, amazing entertainment, and a beautiful establishment. Had things been different, I know this would have been the ultimate vacation. I hope that sooner rather than later Jamaica continues to restore and flourish into the beautiful country that it is. #onelove

Very kid friendly. There aren’t many ramp entrances into the main lobby area and leaving building rooms. So a little difficult for strollers. The massage and facial are okay. Nothing luxury just regular. The spa on the Zilara side. I didn’t like that I was hounded for a tip from the front door attendant as soon as we arrived from airport transportation. It’s a lot to navigate especially when traveling with a baby. Just need a second before I can even get to my wallet lol. All in all a beautiful resort everything is on site. Just not as luxury, but for a kid friendly resort it’s expected. Oh and the JERK HUT is amazing!

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Ziva and, unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Many of the staff members came across as rude or indifferent, which made the stay uncomfortable/ low key PTSD at times. I constantly found myself unsure whether I’d receive good service or not, which really took away from what should have been a relaxing vacation.

The resort itself is smaller than expected, with limited entertainment options compared to other all-inclusive resorts I’ve visited. For the price, I didn’t feel like I got good value — the overall experience simply didn’t match the cost.

The food was also just average, lacking the variety and quality I’ve experienced at other resorts in the same category.

Overall, I left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. I expected a higher standard of service, hospitality, and amenities from a Hyatt property.

The staff and food was definitely 10/10, I will say that I was disappointed in the room, the bed was soo hard I had to see a chiropractor when I returned home. They said they would \"look into it\" but never did anything. The rooms, hallyways needed some serious upgrading..grout in the tub, and corners of the bathroom, patio door didn't open..However our butler Dexter was awesome making sure we got to our excursions, met us at dinner to make sure we had all request met..the pools, drinks were top notch...

I recently stayed at this resort with my partner. It was our first time in Jamaica and he had heard really good things about it. Since the minute we got to the resort we are shocked by the lack of costumer service people working at this resort had. Every single worker expect for one lady at the front desk were beyond rude. No one greets you, everyone seems annoyed to be there and they make sure to let you know that. We had a situation where one of the taxi drivers from the hotel got our number Becuase he was going to send us activities we could do for me and my partner. We told them we were there for our anniversary and he got my number down, he then proceeds to texts me if I wanted to go out which I told him no that we were just interested on excursion. He then sends a picture of a night club ladies free. I didn’t reply, he then starts calling my phone at 12am not one but twice and texts me “u going out?”. I talked to a manager about this situation next morning because we felt extremely uncomfortable and since he said he works for the resort we felt like we were going to see him again and we just weren’t comfortable with that hapeoend. They made me speak with a loss prevention manager who was so rude, while I was explaining the situation he was just scrolling on his phone. They made me write what happened and told me they needed to “investigate” never once asked to see my phone for proof or anything. Nothing was ever done Becuase of it and they weren’t apologetic at all.

The resort was beautiful. The food was above average. They had a lot of Jamaican food options, which is what I was looking forward to the most. The grounds were kept beautifully. They provided lots of good entertainment options. I came during low season and it was perfect, quiet, not a bunch of kids. The staff was pleasant, some more welcoming and helpful than others. Overall enjoyed my stay and I would stay here again.

Loved everything about the resort. They should consider keeping a few of the bars open a little later and possibly a 24hr place to grab late night snacks (pastries and light food like sandwiches). In addition to more hot tubs (on the Zilara side) make sure they are kept clean and completely functional.

The hotel was disgusting. The only clean areas were the restaurants and around the lobby. The gym was out of wipes for the machines. The rugs in the hallway were disgusting and our room was smelled of mold. My husbands asthma flared up and he’s still sneezing and congested.

The resort and staff were very nice.
But there is lack of entertainment during the week.
The resort would be way better if there were more activities, especially during the day/week. I arrived on Monday and the only day there was activity at the pool was on Thursday, and I was leaving on Friday.
There’s no club. There’s a small bar that stays open until 12am. If you’re looking for parties/activities this might not be the best option.

Resort is old and needs reconditioning. Beach area is subpar with the bulk of adults hanging out at the family beaches, smoking pot, getting drunk, and cursing in front of small children. I have to say that the food was much better than I expected, some of the best I’ve had at all-inclusives. Drinks were not watered down either. Staff was friendly. Visitors at the resort were not culturally diverse, to say the least. If you like nighttime entertainment, the Bob Marley tribute band was excellent, all others not so much. Resort was not crowded at all. Pool area was nice, but I’m a beach person, so didn’t spend much time there. Would have rated much higher if the beach was nicer. It’s not a natural beach, it’s man- made and a rock barrier keeps the water waveless, so it feels more like a stagnant pond than the ocean.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt, and overall it was an amazing experience that truly felt worth every dollar.

The kids club was wonderful—although I didn’t personally use it, my friend did and her kids were safe, happy, and well taken care of. Special thanks to Sophia, who did a fantastic job with the children.

At the front desk, the service was good across the board, but Gabriel really stood out. Her attention to detail and genuine care made my stay so much more enjoyable—I honestly wanted to tip her personally for how much she went above and beyond.

Tjay deserves recognition as well. He arranged the best driver for us, ensuring we had a safe trip, and even added special touches to make my candlelight dinner with my daughter unforgettable. His thoughtfulness and information truly made the night magical.

Entertainment was top-notch too—Rohan kept the energy alive with music, interacted with the crowd, and even played a special request for my daughter. That really meant a lot.

The food was solid—about an 8/10, which is very good for resort dining. Lots of choices, and generally on the higher end for resort quality.

I did have one small hiccup with my room, but Paul, the manager, immediately stepped in and went above and beyond to fix it, even after I told him not to worry. That kind of service is rare and truly appreciated.
All in all, the staff here are incredible across the board—caring, professional, and dedicated to making guests feel at home. Thank you, Hyatt,

This property was beautiful, but otherwise the experience was hit or miss at best. There were some who were very courteous and happy to make the trip special like the water sports employees and some of the cook to order chefs in the buffet 'Choicez\". Most employees were neutral and still others seemed inconvenienced to assist. Many frowns and curt tones despite Thank You Sir or Ma'am or Please being given by my family I was traveling with.

For food before booking I called and advised of food allergies including 3 of 5 people having to eat gluten free and the representation was the ability to handle gluten allergy restriction but only one restaurant proved able to do so otherwise we had to eat in the cafeteria which was limited as well.

The Butlers assigned to our room never made contact and were otherwise absent. Refilling the mini bar was nonexistent as well.

The room cleaning was minimal for the Fifth floor but good in the other room on the second floor.

We also were lied to about time for \"welcome package\" sales pitch and it was admitted that the time it would require was a lie by a member of the olaya club staff when confronted. Not a good way to do business. No apology for lying was given.

Overall this was not worth the price point and beauty didn't make up for the other parts of the experience. We have enjoyed other Hyatt owned properties like the AMR collection but won't visit a Hyatt Ziva or other property like this in the near future.

I had an absolute amazing experience at this resort. The food was wonderful with so many options. The indian station at the buffet was exceptional. The staff was so kind and friendly and pleasant, a special shout out to Petrina at the French restaurant, our servers Chetaya and Tamara, and Olivia at concierge. They have a heart of gold. The housekeeping staff are the undercover heroes who took care of the rooms so well. The resort is beautiful, both the Hyatt Ziva and Zilara sides. The golf carts to take you from place to place which was so helpful for my mother with bad knees and ankles. Everything was truly wonderful and I would highly recommend!

I recently had a 5 day, 4 night stay. I stayed there with my wife, son and mother in law. We stayed in 1 club room 5th floor, double beds with a terrace. The room was nice. Bed mattress was okay. I felt could have been better. The terrace and the view, loved it. The bathroom had some room. Multiple family members were able to use it at one time.
As far as restaurants, you have to make an appointment except for the buffett which is at Choicez. The day we arrived, around 2-3pm, there were no dinner appointments left. Some reservations need to set aside for those that arrive on day off. I felt a bit cheated. We only had opportunity to eat at 2 restaurants in 4 nights. I was not happy with that. The entertainment is \"family \" friendly on Ziva side, the side I was staying on. Zilara is the adult side. I was told we had access to that side as an adult but didn't take advantage of it. Maybe next time. All in all we had a great trip!

We enjoyed our stay! Our room wasn’t ready at 3:00 pm as promised, so they upgraded the room and gave us a $50.00 resort credit. Other than a private check in and access to the premium bar , I didn’t really see the advantage of booking a club room. There were plenty of food options, but it was very hard to get a reservation. I recommend that you book all dinner reservations as soon as you arrive. The Italian restaurant was our favorite, but the Jerk Hut was pretty delicious. The locations of three separate outdoor bars was convenient as well. The pools were extremely clean and clear and we had no problem securing beach or pool lounge chairs. The beach was also extremely clean and private. We chose to do excursions but we booked them ourselves through trip sites because the cost to book through the hotel was double the price. The staff was extremely helpful, kind, and attentive to our requests. On the day before we left, we did see a small patch in our bathroom despite it being clean. I mentioned it upon checkout and recommended that they exterminate just in case this was a much bigger issue that we just didn’t notice. They gave us an additional $50.00 credit ( I didn’t ask for it but I feel that they should have considered comping one night of the stay). Overall, we were grateful for the experience and would definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Ziva. Spacious room with all the added amenities and comfort -mini fridge with ample selection, robe, slippers, eco dental kits, shower caps, etc. The food options were great, the food was tasty and the staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
It’s a large property and even though I don’t mind walking the distance, it was challenging for a family member to get from the lobby to Building 3, and to the various restaurants. Also, our room had a musty odor but we spent most of our time outdoors so this was not really an issue until we returned. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay and will return.

The resort has beautiful grounds, well-kept pools, and a small but charming beach with plenty of lounge chairs. Breakfast was solid, and cocktails were consistently well-made.

However, our room in Building 2 felt dated, and pillows were lacking. Service could be slow, with unanswered calls to the front desk and long waits for basics like towels. There was also a faint musty smell in the hallways, which took away from the otherwise clean appearance. Dinner at the buffet was inconsistent, and the evening staff often seemed disengaged, making the meal experience feel rushed.

Overall, a pleasant place for sunshine and relaxation, but the service and upkeep leave room for improvement.

This was our 4th Caribbean island experience and our first Hyatt stay. We were very excited. Unfortunately it left much to be desired as the hotel is old, dated and not very clean. Worst of all the AC in our room was not working properly. After the second time they “fixed it” (they had to fix the ceiling fan too) I asked for a room change. They said they would have to downgrade me to the old building and two beds (we booked the junior sweet with a king and a sofa bed). The old building (no 2 I think) is creepy old so I knew that was not an option, not to mention the attitude from front desk about it. So our 6 day stay turned into 5 hot nights and overall annoyance. The staff is definitely nicer than other Caribbean destinations but overall I would not return or recommend this resort to traveling families. One good quality was the night entertainment. Also the staff at the Kids Club were very friendly and approachable. Overall not impressed with Hyatt and would recommend Zoetry instead.

Terrible customer service throughout thrle stay here. For tourism to be a main source of revenue for this region, you would think the staff would be more hospitable and customer focused. We literall6 got to the point where we did t want to ask for anthing because the staff treated us as if we were bithering them. No smiles...no warm greetings...just what??? Thus seems to be a theme over our 4 trios to Jamaica so we will not be returning.

We came back last night. 1st time in Jamaica.We stayed 6 nights vacation for family of 12 including small kids and seniors.. we had the most wonderful time . We did a room upgrade to the new building and the room and view was amazing. The room was spacious and clean. The restaurants and food were excellent. Some out of my comfort some because of the spicy but overall was amazing. They have variety for all. I tried some food that I never thought in my life that I will be eating..The pool super huge and beautiful. No worries about pool and beach chairs or towels. My only suggestion will be the night life..begins too early and most of the time we were eating and by 10 pm is done. They should have a little more live music and different activities because we came across with 2 wedding around the entertainment area and there was no entertainment at all those 2 nights. Besides that everything was amazing… I hear the adult area (Zilara) has more night entertainment but with the kids we couldn’t go!…the beach was a 10+ and the resort areas super green and beautiful.the staff super friendly… we also came across with 2-3 rude staff members in some locations but overall everyone was really nice…. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday and we loved it!!! Jamaica u were better than expected! We will definitely come back!!!!

The property was nice and well kept. The food was not so great, not much variety and some of the employees were STINGY with the food although it is supposed to be ALL INCLUSIVE, I tried getting stir fry SHRIMPS and the person serving only gave (3) shrimps at a time, I ask for more and he gave me (1) more. I got another plate, and he stared me down like \"How dare you\" NOT HAPPY WITH THE FOOD AT ALL. (1) employee at the Jerk Hut was awesome (Sharlene) a social butterfly, sweet, helpful, she made my stay much better.

My family and I had an amazing experience. staff was friendly and attentive to all of our needs. Transportation was on standby, our room was very clean and nice 10/10 highly recommend my family and i will be returning again soon !!! The views were breath taking 10/10!! choices was our favorite buffet restaurant and the jerk hut was pretty good as well.

Lovely hotel. Spacious room with balcony.
Evening entertainment finished at a sensible time.
We are at ChoiceZ restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There was always plenty of choice and variety. The pancakes and crispy bacon were one of our favourites!
The jerk shack is good for an afternoon snack if you don't want to go into the restaurant.
Not all the sun loungers have parsols, but there are plenty of palm trees to be able to keep in some shade.
Lots of activities around the pool side during the day.
And there's a place you can book excursions inside the hotel.
If you can pay with credit card, do so, as I'm still waiting for my holding deposit to be returned. As well as one of the cancelled excursions, I paid with debit card!
If you want souvenirs, and plan to go on an excursion, wait til you go out, all excursions stop at gift shops and the prices are much cheaper than the hotel shop!
Nearly everything is priced in US dollars, rather than Jamaican dollars. You'll need some cash for tips, but either or is accepted.

Amazing, kind, knowlegable, accommodating staff with a wide array of food selections and performances every night. They cater to kids and my son loved the pool and beach. The beach was highly secured and safe for all guests. July 4th was a massive celebration and it was divine.

The location was great. I don’t like the dinner reservation system because you o oh get to try 2 or 3 restaurants if that. We made reservations on the day we arrived and was only able to make 2 reservations. It should just be first come, first serve and wait in line. The hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. I like newer properties and this one is old. The staff is wonderful! The food is good overall but some things have to be purchased separately and I would rather just everything be included in the price.
