Uh this place was real nice ovr its like a 4 or 4.5. The things I'd like are just some personal preferences basically. Pool was real fun though and table tennis was cool. I'd definately recommend it and the food was good too.

I love the beach and the ocean, clear water, minimal waves, beautiful mature trees.
Great views from the balcony. Friendly staff at the bars,
Food was good but some things would run out like fruit. The service at the restaurant was not consistent with all servers. Had to wait to get seated several times.

The location was great, this hotel is connected to the older hotel also, the layout is great with lots of areas to sit and relax near the water. The staff in sole restaurants were not very attentive or service was very slow. The location & property are the best reasons to stay here

Hotel was clean, food was great, and it was conveniently located near the airport and other shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful! You also get access to the property next door, so that was a plus. This was a family trip (ages 9-55) and we all enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely recommend if you’re on a budget but looking for fun!

The view from the room was absolutely beautiful! However, the Entertainment package both during the day and at nights left a whole lot to be desired. We had to resort to watching TV in our room, to pass the time nightly. Please invest in your Entertainment staff so they can present better shows and activities.

The front desk service needs to be reorganized. Too many workers inactive. They huddle. They make promises they don’t keep. They lied about the hotel not having a bar near the toilet. I have stayed in the hotel 2 times. I know thats not true.
They have 1 hot elevator! And It broke down. They double charged me. Expedia already charged me that same tax. Many people complained at not having wash cloths. It’s not our fault if they are stolen by others. They gave our group 1 key. We both paid The 1st night they didn’t give our group of 18 people comforters. We all had one sheet. We ALL lost a whole night sleep. Many of towels were gray instead of white. We had trouble getting enough towels.Please use bleach or vinegar. They have a long wait at the counter. Then they tell you to sit in the waiting area for an additional time. Too much wasted time. Find some way remove the aggressive cats from the dining room. They are annoying while eating.
On the other hand, we really enjoyed the nightly entertainment. The drinks were good. The food on some days were good. Your staff is not argumentative and appear to be respectful. They seem to be overwhelmed with solving the many issues. One solution is to monitor room cleaning.

They took so long to check us in. We check in at 3:00 PM but instead we had to wait until 5 PM. I have a pregnant girlfriend. It was not professional

I like everything about the property even my grandchildren say they want to come back there BUT the laundry was very poor I get to understand they use outside laundry which is very bad at night and early morning no towels and they say they don’t give wash cloth that is a no no the hot water boiler is always off in the morning only cold water to shower if they fix these situations it can be a great place the towels at bad colour and course they need their own laundry and things will get better a lot of guest was complaining about the same thing the food and environment can be better too..

Food was terrible. Check in is unorganized and a nightmare. They say 3pm however when 3pm comes you have to wait to be “queued” for your room meaning all guest who arrived before you must get their rooms first and so it goes in order. Also they don’t call you when the room is ready although it’s after 3pm as stated, you are expected to just continuously walk up to the front desk and inquire about your room. I reached the hotel at 2pm and didn’t get my room until 4pm since I had to wait for all the people who landed before me to get their room first and even then it was an employee who expedited me because he saw I was agitated and growing impatient. Great view from balcony. Budget friendly. Never returning.

I liked the stay at one, play at two concept. I do believe the Grand Cameron Montego Bay offered a better buffet menu, but I enjoyed my stay. I do wish they had slides or similar amenities especially for the kiddie pool. However, I do think it's an absolutely great experience to be had at Grand Decameron Cornwall!

This is a great resort for the price. I have stayed multiple times and have liked it enough to return. However, on our most recent visit, the reserved dining had changed. We reserved dinner one night and it was an Asian menu. The food was really really bad. Not sure why they changed their reserved dinner options, it was very good before. The buffet food was consistent and had a good variety each day. Only complaint is the reserved dining options.

On arrival we got there a lil early before 3pm but when 3pm came they had us waiting all the way til 5pm to get into our room. I requested an ocean view & DID NOT HAVE an ocean view! They didn’t have towels they didn’t change our bed sheets. Also they knocked on our door at the 4th day & asked did we need service & we told them no but we wanted new sheets & new towels & they said they didn’t have neither!

Overall good experience, minor inconveniences such as no hot water first day but again who needs hot water in tropical heat. AC stopped working on the 3rd day but issue was resolved right away. Food had variety all 3 times a day. The view is the best and the beach, that makes everything worth it. Make sure to tip the staff that makes service better and faster.

This hotel staff was nice. The room was modern however the hotel dont offer wash cloths and barely hand towels. I guess they want us to use our hands. The food is medicore and not a great variety. The beach is private and cool. I stayed here 1 day because me and husband wanted to be close to airport after leaving Negril from a resort and the energy and vibe went from 100 to 20...I will never stay here again I requested hand towels 3 times and didnt get them. I also tried to reach out to the hotel for 3 days before getting a responds the day I checked in and at the point it was useless... lastly I paid for a deluxe beach front room and I got more of a deluxe pool view. Only could she a bird view because the palm trees was blocking. I suggest you get a room on the 3rd floor or better for a view i was on the 2nd.

I like the all inclusiveness of the property. The staff were friendly and helpful. I have to give a shoutout to Tamika from the dining room, Annette and Alicia from housekeeping. They were very professional, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and ok. Because of them, I would return to the hotel. One thing I hated about the hotel is all the flies that were on the food. That was very unhealthy and it was a lot of flies. I think they need to invest in an enclosed dining room with air condition to prevent the flies on the food people are eating. Also, the 1 elevator that works for both staff and guests needs air condition as it is very hot, I nearly pass out. I admired the coffee bar on the second floor. Oh another important thing is that their toilets do not have good pressure systems so it does not flush properly. If you pee you have to flush 10 times before toilet paper goes down so just imagine when u poop. Don’t bother try flushing, just fill the trash can with water to flush. Maintenance came to look at it n said it happens in almost every room on the upper floors. My other family members were experiencing the same thing. I love the proximity to the city n shopping areas on the hip strip. I enjoyed the nightly shows and entertainment. Beach was fun and water sports awesome. Spacious rooms. I will return to the hotel when it’s upgraded. Most importantly I felt safe and my kids were safe. It needs more attractions for kids like a water slide et

The bathroom and the rooms should not be used. It's disgusting to have people sleeping in that condition, and the bathroom needs to be remodeled. The sheets are dirty-looking and old, and they do not offer clean, usable towels. The outlets do not work properly in the room.

After landing in Jamaica after 9am we did some excursions and exploring because checkin was not until 3pm , we got to the hotel roughly before 3 and I was very tired and wanted to just rest a little bit … the room was not ready so we went on the beach until about 5 returned and the room still was not ready , we weren’t able to go into the room until almost 7 they stated they were still waiting on someone to clean the room , which is crazy… other wise everything was good , nice staff clean hotel

Pros: The exterior of the property is pretty nice and the view of the beach is amazing. They have 2 bars outside near the beach area with drinks and food such fries, burgers, and chicken tenders. The interior of the dining hall is decent and the food is ok, I’ll give the food 5/10.
Cons: The room was okay nothing fancy. The bathroom shower & sink could’ve been cleaned better. The hotel doesn’t offer wash clothes, only towels. House keeping only came to make the bed. I had to ask multiple times for clean towels. The customer service overall was okay, definitely could’ve been better.

Front desk is horrible, as it being the first place guest go to I would assume the people there are welcoming. Which was not , horrible attitude with no answers . We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Decameron Cornwall. The room/hotel/food were pretty basic which is what we expected for the price point. The hotel was very clean and our needs were met. There were a few staff members at the front desk that were a little frustrating to deal with. It seemed like there was a lack of training or communication with other staff members. We didn’t get our room until 5pm when it was promised for 3pm and a la carte reservations seemed complicated for some of them.

Aside from that, the beach was great. We had hot water in the shower. The balcony view was awesome. We enjoyed the food (basic but good quality). Two of our three nights we found and enjoyed the evening entertainment. It was tricky to get information for shows or dining but that’s fine, the place is small.

I would recommend this hotel and I’d go back!

bad service since we arrived.my room was supposed to be ready at 3pm and they gave it to me at almost 7pm and that's because i demanded it.
there was always a problem with booking for nithg dinner.the receptionists in one building contradicted each other.theyt didn't have the same information,they always said there wasn't any and the two times they gave it to me in 7 days i was there,they never had the food that the menu offered.the people were rude and super lazy.the ones in the kayakig area were even lazier they never wanted to give me a ride on windsurfing they always made up an excuses not to.
they never left me water in my room ,they only changed the towels once.it was a disastrous vacations,figthing with the staff all the time because of their lack of professionalism

Rooms n corridors needs better cleaning, need plugs at better area in the rooms for phone charging , needs whiter cleaner towels, they are dingy rough and brown , they do not provide wash rags which is absurd , phones by the bedside are dirty, great location and within walking distance to the downtown area, ran out of food with no replenishment even tho people were checking in quite regularly, front desk people do not smile and b welcoming, find a way to keep flys away from the food….needs better prepared food at the grill area …. A plus is beautiful view from balcony …. Needs more entertainment have to walk to sister hotel for activities, needs a manager on site for any issues we may have . Long corridor walk to rooms not safe… only few cameras are installed…. But surprisingly I visit every year cas I love my country n want to see if improvements have been made… rooms are never ready until 5 pm or later so pls book a late flight, lobby needs better furniture n decor. Should have an incentive package for those visiting very often…
