The sheets were dirty with hairs on it. The water in the shower was not hot, and half of the time cold. They say they provide breakfast, but it was the worst breakfast I have ever had, it is just one round of breakfast with low quality. The only good thing about breakfast was the fact that we didn't need to go get a taxi for coffee. But the hotel has good security.

They were very accommodating and willing to go the extra mile in whatever we needed! My name is Joyce Pessoa. I stayed at the Hotel Grand A View 10/19/25 for 4 days. The property is very clean and the staff were exceptional. Jodia and Tamara were very professional as were the others in the Restaurant. Shoera at the front desk was very helpful in regards to my needs. The hotel is very quiet. The only problem I had with my room is I had nowhere to put my clothes apart from a few hanagers in the closet. My stay was pleasant so I would return to Hotel Grand A View.

My family and I stayed here the last night of of our vacation and it was perfect. Very convenient. Our room was directly in front the pool so we did a late night swim with my 1 year old and then breakfast was right up the stairs overlooking the ocean. You had the option to dine inside or on the balcony. It was cute and would definitely stay again to end my vacation. It’s close to the airport and they provide transportation to the airport!

I had high hopes for this property after reading high reviews online. However, I ended up with a few negative experiences:
- First room I was given had bugs in various places. We initially shrugged it off until we saw them on the bed as well.
- When we mentioned this to the front desk, they moved us to a different room but did not so much as apologize or seem interested in the bugs.

My stay at the hotel was unfortunately limited by several issues with the amenities. The pool, which I had been looking forward to using, was not well-maintained—there were visible bugs in the water, and I even witnessed guests attempting to clean them out themselves. In addition, the water in both the shower and sink was not functioning properly, with low pressure and inconsistent flow. It appeared that there may have been clogged or damaged pipes, which impacted the comfort and convenience of my stay.
As for the dining experience, I was under the impression that breakfast would be unlimited, but the portions and service felt restricted. The servers did not seem very attentive, and it gave the impression of being overly cautious with serving sizes. I believe the breakfast menu could be improved by offering a more diverse selection, blending both Caribbean and American options to cater to a wider range of guests. I was particularly disappointed that bacon—something many guests expect as a standard breakfast option—was not available at all.

There were ants in the room that bit us up. First day we noticed it, we didn't have any food in the room. The 2nd night we were there, we had some leftover food that we put in the fridge but we kept the bag out. The bag had a lot of ants when we woke up the next morning. The property was beautiful and we had great views but the ants and getting bit up was a negative experience.

The lock on the door was broken. The location is terrible. Check out is 11am. Cats and dogs in the front. Pool dirty with tons of debris floating. Expedia should be ashamed to have this place on their website.

Nestled in the hills of Montego Bay. Beautiful view of city - especially at night- and the sea beyond. The food was fabulous. Breakfast - traditional Jamaican fare but there could have been more fruit. I like that the hotel provides a shuttle for airport and beach runs. Only problem was hotel phones were down and it was difficult to make contact with hotel before my arrival. Sent me in a bit of a panic. Friendly staff made up for this. Very accommodating.

The hotel is much more than I expected. It is very beautiful and clean. Everyone that works that we came in contact with was helpful and thoughtful. On our arrival, the original room was next to the kitchen and smelled like fish. We asked for a different room and without hesitation, they moved us. That junior suit was great and had a nice view. We did not have dinner there but we did have a drink and an appetizer. The shrimp was great and I had the Bob Marley, my husband had the purple rain, they both were delicious. My only complaint from giving 5 stars was the breakfast…not a fan!

I enjoyed my stay, however there were alot of bees outside my room door in the night. So many that I couldn’t leave or enter as I would like. The shower had some soap stains that looked like they’d been there for years. Room was clean and spacious though. I enjoyed my stay. Food was really good as well. I’d go back for sure.
