When I say this resort did not disappoint, we did not want to leave . The staff was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond The vibes were high . The food and drinks were excellent . The amenities and entertainment was great . We had the most amazing time for our 4year anniversary. Every where u turn there was something to do enjoy .

Although this is a older property its reflects the history of MontegoBay , the staff very professional and helpful, dining room staff courteous and willing to serve. The food is well-balanced and well tastings. Kudos to Miss .Walker the general manager.for supporting her staff and been attentive to the concerns of the guest

This property gave off very unhygienic and uncomfortable vibes overall. My room was dirty upon arrival, and I had to ask for my towels to be changed four times before finally receiving one without stains. The floor in the room was sticky to the point that I never walked barefoot and always had to wear flip-flops.

The breakfast and dinner area was also visibly dirty. Honestly, I felt relieved the moment I checked out of the property. I stayed for three nights and developed a rash all over my body, including bite-like marks on my back that resembled bed bug bites.

On top of that, the staff often made me feel as though my questions and requests were an inconvenience. I would absolutely not recommend staying here. The photos online are very misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property.

Regarding the location, Doctor’s Cave Beach across the street only operates between 08:00 and 17:30, and guests are not allowed to remain there outside those hours. Even simply crossing the street to reach the beach felt uncomfortable, as multiple people approached me offering weed or making unwanted comments. I genuinely did not feel safe.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was honestly quite traumatizing.

Our whole experience was definitely not as advertised, but the multiple issues with the food were the most disappointing. We paid for an all-inclusive resort & this place is not one.

We had no running water 2 days of our stay.

Every day of our stay, we tried to order drinks at the pool bar but couldn’t due to no clean cups.

This resort advertised that they have several restaurants but in reality all they had was the buffet & The Grill by the pool.

The Grill was only open a few hours in the afternoon (actual open hours were inconsistent), regularly unable to serve food due to no clean dishes, & were regularly out of one or more foods for multiple days.

The buffet was very small, regularly out of plates, the food on the buffet was inedible. Same few items every single day, food looked old & there were flies landing it. Tried to eat there multiple times but ended up leaving without eating. Buffet wasn’t open all the time, leaving gaps of several hours daily where no food was available at this “all-inclusive” resort.

They claim to also have an Italian restaurant and a deli. The Italian restaurant was 4 tables set up by The Grill with a very small menu of items you could order. You had to make a reservation prior to 3:00pm in order to eat here. We tried this option a couple of times & the food was as inedible as the food at the buffet.

The deli only had stale ice cream cones & leftover melon from breakfast buffet. Inconsistent hours, rude employees.

This resort has been nothing but amazing to me and my sisters! We are so grateful for the staff. Honest and sweet people. One of my sisters left her money by accident in her room when she checked out and someone called her right away to let her know she left it and that they will find a way get her money back to her. The resort was also so nice, organized and they also had so much good food! We cannot wait to come back. Thank you so much.

No AC in the restaurant. Food was standard buffet fare. The beach pictured on the website is not at the hotel, it's the public beach across the street.

My wife and I have been there twice. 3 weeks ago was our last time. We love the fact that it's not so big and you feel like you're part of the family there instead of just another big resort. The beach is directly across the street and is the most calm and beautiful waters we have been to. There is a Starbucks directly across the street which was different and nice to have. And the food was amazing. We will definitely be making it one of our three trips a year.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean. This resort is not on the beach you'll get access to the beach across the street. Not your typical all-inclusive atmosphere, more like a bed and breakfast with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Only has one pool and it's very small. Not much to do on the property. We spent 3 nights 4 days and I was ready to leave at the end of the second day. This place is for folks who plan to do most their fun activities outside the hotel

Very rustic resort, food was good, there was a few events happening but they were not advertised so guests would all be aware. Dinner was over at 10pm and there was nothing afterwards, not even snacks at the bar, would have been nice to be able to get a drink and a snack in the evening.

Stayed 04/26/26 to 04/29/26. Front desk (Moya) staff was friendly and accommodating. The dining staff was great. Dawn did excellent working the Italiano area solo. The pool bar bartender on 04/26/26 was very friendly and could change the mood of the pool area with music. He worked the dining area later and was friendly there as well. Housekeeping was good.
The downside was the whole time I was there, the hot tub was not hot or bubbly. I enjoyed the hotel's 10 year anniversary celebration. Nadine and other artist was great. I would stay again.

Love this all inclusive property. The breakfast options were amazing every day and multiple options for lunch. Dinner could use some work, but the menu was consistently authentic all the way around.
The liquor selection could be updated and we absolutely love the ice cream parlor. Prime Location top-notch!

A good place to stay if you are just looking for affordable accommodation with meals. It's more of a boutique-hotel with great potentials.
All members of staff were very pleasant and helpful especially Andre. The food was very good, with exquisite Jamaican cuisine included as well as food for vegetarians like myself.
The great Doctor's Cave beach was easily accessible to visit and was the highlight of my visit. However , if you're looking for some form of real entertainment you will have to visit somewhere else on the Hip Strip.

Love everything about this property. On arrival staff treated up nice, we arrived early and could not check in before 11am, so they gave us a beach pass, hung out unit the rest on my group came then we checked in. To the security guard that works the morning shift, you said your name but mi caan memba, but thanks for making mi and mi auntie laugh and good vybes. To Loretta yuh ah good entertainer, we really fuljoy wi self.. Will definitely be visiting again ☺️

This hotel was the worst that I have ever stayed in when I arrived the lobby was so humid hot and dark very depressing looking me and my godmother ate lunch the first day and their was flies all over the table where we ate couldn’t even eat with the flies returning back to the table when we swatted them away the hotel room looked like a 1970s motel the air conditioning was poor quality couldn’t even get the room cooled my godmother had a heat stroke that night the staff was extremely unfriendly they all seemed to have a attitude problem
One of the female workers got real nasty at us because we wanted to take a picture by some tables at the dining room and the front desk lady snapped at me saying make sure you bring me back my pen like they can’t get pens around there even when we switched rooms because of the poor air condition the room was still hot and humid we left the next day checked out went right to the airport the area it’s located is extremely dangerous we were harassed twice by locals trying to get us to smoke marijuana they wouldn’t just leave us alone they just kept following us even the bronx isn’t that bad like this area is and all the guest who stayed their looked like they were up to no good I don’t even think they were tourist they all had stank looks and the staff were all angry the beach isn’t part of the property they give you a beach pass to go over where the trashy locals will harass you trying to get money out of you don’t stay hear go to the Riu

Cons: Food (EXTREMELY BLAND) restaurants not open 24/7 no room service you’re not allowed to take food to rooms, nothing Jamaica authentic, resort very outdated, half of staff seemed like they didn’t wanna be there. No AC in lobby or halls, no elevator. Housekeeping cleaned rooms after 3pm, pool small and looked unclean. I’ll be traveling back to Jamaica but definitely won’t be staying at Deja again

Small resort , very friendly and accommodating staff. It is literally across the street from Doc’s beach, food was okay, most of us know you do not pick an all inclusive for gourmet high end food choices. This was a quick girl trip getting away from southwest PA , loved it! Would stay there again!

Deja Resort was a big disappointment. It looked nothing like the pictures on the website. We stayed in room 122. The room itself was below average. The front door handle was loose and I didn't feel safe, so I put a chair against it. The patio was a joke. Just plastic chairs and a table next to an air conditioner unit that was falling apart. The bathroom shutters were slightly opened so people walking down the hallway could see in, so I draped a towel over them for privacy. There is no direct beach access either. We had to pay $7 each, cross a busy street, and show a ticket to get onto beach. When speaking with other guest they agreed that website was very misleading. The one bright spoy was the staff. They were excellent, very friendly and professional.

Solo traveler. Stayed 10 days. Room was large just no balcony or really any windows to look out. Rooms are dated but clean as with anywhere you stay. Only problem was door had a small opening under it & after the rain shower bugs would get in didn’t like that at all. I thought food was great along with service. Everyone was very friendly & helpful. Beauitful beach across street Doctors cove but small free to get in from hotel included a daily pass. I didn’t like having to pay $14 a day for chair & umbrella gets pricy when cruise ships came in the beach was packed. Met a lot of nice people & would stay again if I were to go back to Montago bay.

The food was delicious and the drinks were full of alcohol and very good. The resort staff were very friendly and helpful. They did not do any kind of sales promotions like many resorts do. The resort is small and the rooms are just average, but perfect for us because we just sleep in them. Four of us shared the room and we were comfortable. The pool was small but never real busy. Most people spend their time at the ocean which is gorgeous. We snorkled right there and learned that it is one of the two best places to snorkel in Jamaica. They did have a band in the bar one night, bingo another night, and board games out on the tables. My daughter and granddaughter went out to a club near the resort and had a great time. We felt very safe. We would stay there again for sure. Price was very reasonable.
