I paid to have my room decorated for my birthday, and they did nothing. When I asked for my money back at checkout, the said they manage was not there to issue it. Then, they tried said I had a 'do not disturb' sign in my door, which I didn't, because I was in my room when the housekeeping knocked to clean the room, and I tipped her, because I was leaving early the next day and I wouldn't see her. I've been staying at this hotel for the pass 15 years, since it was named Gloucester. This was my first time I was very disappointed in my stay.

We gave this a five star rating for multiple reasons. We were not expecting a luxury resort. We got what we expected and more. Déjà Resorts is a very unique experience. This is a national treasure for Montegonians. The food was A+++. The Staff were genuinely friendly and always there for us. Marie in the dining dining room is Super. Brandon , Cheville and all the staff at this Hotel are the Best! I spoke with other guests and everyone were satisfied with the level of service courtesy and accommodations. Again be reminded that this is a small INN. It has a Jamaican flavor all the way with a touch of class. Do not expect skyline views and Luxury. What we got at Déjà was the real Jamaica love. From day one to day ten we had an awesome experience and Ill definitely return to Deja.

The only good thing was the AC in the rooms. The food in the dining room wasn’t good but the food from the grill was so good. Cleaning staff was very polite but a few of the front desk staff were rude. You have to pay for The shuttle from the airport to the resort, which I didn’t feel was right.

The property was average overall, nothing particularly stood out, but it met the basic expectations for a comfortable stay. The rooms and common areas were clean, which was appreciated. The food was enjoyable.

The property itself is quite small and has an older feel, lacking the modern amenities and updated décor found in newer hotels. The staff were generally pleasant and courteous.

From, the airport shuttle to the staff members, everyone was just professional made you feel extremely welcome. We had left our cell phone by accident and they kept it in Lost and Found for us until we were able to pick it up that speaks volume to the staffs that are there. Though one thing though I had paid for a king size bed room, but got 2 double. It wasn't a big deal. My 1 year old had fun with all the amenities and it's completely family oriented.

This property is all inclusive (buffet), and is located near a very lively and busy strip with many shops and walkable areas. Their food is good with different options. Access to public transportation, but limited parking in premises.
I would definitely stay again.

A very good place to stay, Well mannered staff and they are always there to assist you when you need them. Staff made sure we were well hydrated and comfortable during our stay.Very clean environment, rooms were well made .Breakfast was well served and the service was amazing .All meals were prepared and decorated, ready to be served.Beach view was breath taking, we enjoyed the place and the people were very welcoming. The kids loved the fact that they got ice-cream whenever they wanted and they couldn't believe that things was done for them. Overall with the Deja you cant go wrong.

During my stay, a piece of paint detached from the ceiling fell on me. The ceiling showed visible signs of deterioration, including peeling paint and damage, raising concerns about the property’s maintenance and guest safety. Room 119 check in 6/16/2026 check out 6/17/2026. Spoke with management and all they offered was a discount rate for my next stay. I requested a discounted rate on my current stay but they refused. Please see photos attached for reference.

With this kind of service I will NOT recommend any of my family and friends to this establishment.

My family and I stayed for a little over a week and had a great time!
There is only one pool and very small. So we spent our days on the beach, which was absolutely beautiful! The resort gives you free access to the beach but be prepared to pay for chairs and umbrella daily, also their beach towels aren’t in the greatest condition so we actually ended up buying our own.
The food on the resort was delicious but kind of only varied every other day. Would appreciate a little more variety.
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Lady Loretta that runs the entertainment is really awesome at her job always trying to get the crowd to participate and have fun.
The resort was clean just slightly outdated. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and beds were comfy, the AC work perfectly and the rooms was always nice and cool.
The resort has drivers that will take you anywhere for a fee of course. Took a trip to Negril with Christopher and had a great time!
Despite the little improvements needed, we would definitely return!

The pictures does NOT match this “resort” at alllll. I went to this property on 6/1 and was sooo dissatisfied! The property needs renovations and honestly should not be open until then. I stayed for one night and then left to go to another resort. The staff were very friendly and the little food was good but other than that it’s a NO for me.

The beach was nice but it’s not apart of the property. Giving the guest a pass to get into the beach is a nice gesture thanks ;)

My stay was okay, but there were several areas that could be improved. The room was not as clean as I expected, and there were old drink bottles left in the refrigerator when we arrived. The staff was not very welcoming, and customer service could have been better. I was also looking forward to a nice beach view *paying extra for balcony due to hving a good view* , but the view from my room was limited and not what I expected. The location was convenient, but overall, the cleanliness, service, and room experience did not meet my expectations. We’ll most definitely be booking a different resort next time.

The value is outstanding....alcohol is excellent (drinks on the strip are expensive)...the room is a motel 6...but bathroom very comfortable...we don't stay in the room a lot..AC was solid..beach was beautiful and clean...staff was not rude but not happy...entertainment was solid in the bar...the hostess for entertainment was the happiest staff member there...they only have 1 restaurant that we loved ( Dawn was amazing)...Italian with 7 entree choices....the buffet was ok but it had the food I love...breafast omlet bar with great coffee.....burger at the grill....good bbq chicken...good fruit with bacon......location could not be better for walking wherever you want to go....Ultimate Excursions is the BEST Taxi service(always on time)...do not use the local taxi guys....we used the taxi service a lot....golf at Cinamon Hill was awesome...we played 2 times....We used FAYE Travel insurance ...use What's App to communicate with family back home....bring plenty of $2 bills to tip....they love these bills....I tip before they serve me....it seems to get their attention

I loved the location and the staff! The only downfall of the whole trip is how extremely expensive the excursions are! Just to experience the heart of Jamaica will cost you hundreds for two people and a small fortune for a family. Luckily, we were happy just hanging out on the beach (which is across the street with access only with a pass from the resort) and around the resort with all the snacks, food, and drinks! Being able to walk through the town was definitely an experience as well!

Our stay at Deja All Inclusive was very successful. From the moment we arrived to the time we left things ran smoothly, and we did not run into any problems. From the front desk, to the crossing guard, and the taxi drivers; everyone was very helpful. The dining hall workers were excellent as well. If I had any complaints to make I would say sometimes the desserts were hit or miss. The bathroom door inside our room had no knob / door handle. Additionally, the pool could have used some cleaning. At times some staff were overly friendly and trying to smooth talk (which can be very frustrating and uncomfortable). I’m on vacation to enjoy myself and be unbothered, not to be hit on and flirted with by staff. Moreover, the overall aesthetic of the resort looked a bit outdated, but not an huge deal considering the price. Other than those things, I would recommend Deja. It is very affordable, and the beach access across the street is phenomenal. One of the best beaches I have ever been on. The beach was clean, and the water was so clear.

I wanted to write a fair and honest review of Deja All Inclusive Resort. I understand that Montego Bay is still recovering from the hurricane last year, so I do want to give grace. At the same time, I think it is important for future guests to have realistic expectations. Overall, many of the staff members were friendly, warm, and welcoming. The Waterfalls Restaurant was a highlight of our stay. The food was great, and the staff there were always kind and attentive. However, there were a few disappointing interactions. The young lady who handled tour information was not friendly during any of our encounters and often acted as though we were disturbing her. I tried to give grace, but it was consistent. The checkout experience was also disappointing. The young lady who checked us out did not ask if we needed transportation, so we asked the gentleman at the transportation booth. This seemed to upset her, and she went back and forth with the driver in a way that felt rude and unprofessional. As far as the resort itself, I would not describe Deja as luxury. If you want close beach access, included food and drinks, and overall friendly staff, it may be worth considering. The common areas seemed better maintained than the rooms. I requested a room change due to the bathroom conditions but the second room was not much better. I also felt the website photos may be outdated. I do appreciate the positives, but Deja did not meet my expectations.

The price was reasonable. A lot of food available. Good location. You get to use the beach. Clean area the chef and waitress upstairs was pleasant and jovial, the jerk wings well seasoned and nice. Not 100% customers service, when I was checking in there was a little discrimination. The other customer representative ( a young lady) was inting the young man who was serving me to say I needed to pay deposit in case any mishap, when I asked if they take card. The remarks was it's a debit card right, l know. Before, I could answer that it's a credit card. I showed the representative my work ID, I was a bit sensitive about that whole situation. Apart from that everything was ok.

This resort is a small property. It does not have any elevators. There are long lines to get to the breakfast/lunch/dinner Buffett. I got scammed by the car rental/tourish guy who works out of the resort. His name is Ivan Bowwow. He charged my friend and I $275 USD to do the Bob Marley tour. The driver was late and wanted to take a family of 4 to the airport on the way at the start of our tour. We said no. He was driving extremely fast going and coming back from the tour. When we arrived at the Bob Marley Museum, we learned that the tour wasn't included in the fee. We paid additional $70 USD to go into the tour. The tour guide/car driver's AC wasn't working properly. He didn't offer us any water. It was just horrible. I would be careful and not get scammed by these people again.

My partner and I just returned from an amazing stay at Deja Resort and we truly cannot stop talking about how wonderful the experience was. The ambiance was a 10/10, the entertainment was always giving, and the accommodations were cozy and exactly what we hoped for. The food was also enjoyable with plenty of good options throughout our stay.

What made this trip truly unforgettable were three incredible staff members: Marjorie, Andre, and mario. Marjorie, our waiter, and Andre, the bellman, went far beyond their job responsibilities to make us feel comfortable, cared for, and welcomed. Mario, who is a steward, unexpectedly took one of the sweetest photos for us — a small gesture that meant so much in the moment.

These three treated us like family instead of just guests, and that level of care is something we will never forget. If you’re planning a vacation to Jamaica, book Deja Resort and definitely ask for Marjorie, Andre, and Mario. It will absolutely be worth every penny.

I love staying at Deja. It is convenient for the beach and the Starbucks on the Hip Strip. The only issue I noticed this time was some possible water damage under the sink in the bathroom of our room. The staff is always friendly. They recognized me. I have stayed there three times in the last four months. I highly recommend Deja Resort but book early because they did not have all the dates I wanted so we had to stay at another hotel for the remainder of our trip.

The internet and the gym where the only problems but they did find a workaround for the internet all they need to do is buy more routers to fix the internet problem. The gym both treadmills aren't working and little stuffy,since in Jamaica walked on the beach. Food was good and staff was great this little hotel shows great promise I hope they keep making improvements

My recent stay May 8 -13 at Deja Resort All-Inclusive with my family of five was truly exceptional and exceeded expectations. The customer service is second to none at Reservations (Nichelle-Ann, Kadian; Check-in desk (Lauryn, Male staff). While we were out and about there was an issue with two of our rooms and the check-in desk staff waited until we get back to solved the issues with excellent professionalism, a rare find, even in luxury establishments. The dining room was top-notch for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive who remembered my coffee order each morning. (Marie, Norida, Chevell, Crystal, and Dexter). Dinner at the Italian restaurant was exquisite, particularly the Alfredo Pasta with shrimp, grilled fish marinated in local spices. The service was impeccable, our waitress anticipated our every need. The location is perfect, a short stroll to Doctor’s Cave Beach but what truly set this hotel apart was cleanliness and the staff. A particularly memorable touch was the upstairs lounge fit for a evening relaxation with the panoramic views of the sea. This hotel offers a superior blend of comfort, service, and responsible tourism, making it a highly recommended choice for travelers. Tuesday night out door entertinment was fantastic. Overall, I highly recommended Deja Resort for travelers who appreciate both comfort and easy access to outdoor activities.

The food was not real good just stuff I don’t eat should have more American options. I loved the resort very good staff from the front desk to the cleaning lady’s, Shout out to Kenny, SaTia, Vincent, all the guys out in the parking lot and tour service….. we loved you guys!!!!!!

Was a good place for the price basic but good in general, breakfast was the best close to the airport and the dr cave beach across the street beautiful the pass included with the stay, they have a Italia restaurant with reservations for those don’t like spicy food was great, and the snack and ice cream delicious

Staff at the front desk was pleasant and very helpful. Breakfast, lunch and dinner i would rate it a 4/10 10 being the highest. Beach view was across the street the beach wasnt on the property exactly..

Booked 2 rooms for me and daughters for our vacation at a smaller resort this time. What I received 1 rm that I ordered and 1 that was outdated, infested with ants and did not have the amenities of my other room such as a balcony or drawers in the room. My room was secluded in a corner overlooking the flat roof and an ac unit. This reservation was made months ahead even on their website a superior king room in which I booked I clearly only received 1 out of the 2 . I was told they couldn't accommodate me I asked if they didn't know the type of rooms by rm number and they said no. This did put a damper on my stay. The food was subpar and little variety ate daily at the grill near the pool every day. Now the good parts the staff 90% friendly and helpful and the location on the hip strip right across the street from Doctor's cave beach free access by resort. Transfer per party $15 supplied by resort great option really close to the airport. One last thing you will get your steps in no elevator but they guys helped with our luggage to the 3rd floor. Overall I wouldn't recommend or return to this motel. After reading other reviews I clearly know that everyone's opinion is subjective and this is mine. Don't stay in room 214... my beautiful room outside my window rooftop and ac units. Reading the description of superior king room they dropped the ball on this one. No balcony no drawers in the room

This was a nice affordable all-inclusive resort in Jamaica! The property was clean, they provided lots of games and different activities to do along with a pass to go to the beach across the street for free while staying at the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. My only complaint was my room we did not have any shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc within the room and whenever we took a shower the water did not go down for hours within the tub. After we told the front desk they were willing to switch our room immediately but we were already checking out. We only stayed within the resort for two days because we were in Jamaica for a funeral not for vacation. I would definitely stay at the resort again!

The beach is across the street and you have to pay for the chairs and umbrellas (every time) Life jackets are free..
Buffet is very small and very little options.. bartenders need experience with drinks …
The beach itself was beautiful.

We absolutely loved Deja! My grandmother used to stay here years prior so we felt it was only right to stay there as well. The staff was so attentive and kind. Although food options were limited the quality was authentic Ang that is what we wanted most. House keeping was exceptional as well. My favorite part was beach access.

The hotel itself was decent, and the location was convenient, but my experience with customer service left me disappointed. Check-in was listed as 3:00 p.m., yet I had to wait over an hour for my room, which cut into the limited time I had to enjoy the beach before it closed.

What frustrated me most was the inconsistency. Although the hotel delayed my check-in, the next morning staff would not provide a beach pass even a little before the strict 8:00 a.m. time, despite the fact that I was leaving for the airport that morning. A little flexibility and courtesy would have gone a long way.

Overall, the stay was okay, but the experience could have been much better with more consideration for guests’ time and better customer service.

Spent 4 nights here on a solo trip, I enjoyed it! The location is directly across the street from the beach, which is perfect. The courtyard is beautiful and a great place to sit and read. The room was cozy, house keeping staff were wonderful. The pool is beautiful, though there were empty cups everywhere for hours that were not picked up. I booked my own excursions using trip advisor, but they can help you book activities if you need assistance. Drivers from the excursions that I booked were easily able to pick me up from the resort. The food was as to be expected from an all-inclusive resort; the dining staff were very friendly. Front desk staff were very friendly.

My issue, leading to 4 stars, is with the transportation provided by the resort (see my full review on trip advisor for further details). Long story short, I attempted to schedule transport from the airport to the resort, and never received response once I sent my flight details (they had initially responded and said this was possible, but needed to know more before confirming). I had to take a taxi to the resort. Transport from the resort to the airport was like getting an act of congress due to miscommunication, lack of information provided, and the rudeness of the transport staff. I made it to the airport, but was definitely anxious about missing my flight due to the way the transport occurred.

When all is said and done, I enjoyed my staff overall and would stay here again. Jamaica was a lot of fun!
