Secrets in Montego Bay is a nice place to stay. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the beachfront activities and beach services. Our room was nice but room service wasn’t the best. Had multiple defects with the room. Jacuzzi tub was inaccessible, the drain didn’t work. Towels and wash clothes weren’t available in the room. Had to call multiple times I order to receive them. Sometimes taking them hours to get there with our request. Our flights were delayed 3 days because of Tropical storm conditions and were forced to leave due to Secrets price and unforeseen circumstances.

Amazing stay, staff was amazing, service was top-tier, buffet breakfast and lunch amazing, beautiful accommodations, rooms clean with plenty of amenities stocked bar and always felt safe on the property. They even delivered a bottle of champagne and cake to my room as a birthday surprise. Restaurants were good, plenty of drink selections at bar even premium liquors were included! Will definitely return again. This place is quiet great place for lovers or relaxation if you into a big party scene you can go off resort a short distance to the hip strip or club 27/27, however they do have a couple of bars/club on resort that are not bad.Transportation to and from resort is safe and drivers very hospitable. This is the place to visit!

I was disappointed how many of the onsite restaurants ran out of food. For the experience and the brand wanting you to purchase the brand to travel more. I didn’t feel comfortable doing so if I’m on vacation and the place I’m at is running out of food. Thing you request that you love and you have to settle for second best.

Room was clean, the gym was amazing, and loved walking inside the property. The oceanview was breathtaking! I highly suggest dining at the italian restaurant. The Mexican food was not as great. Service can be a little slow. I would consider staying here again.

Upon arrival the security had us sitting outside the gate for 12 minutes telling us they couldn't find our reservation on the 14th minute i used my US phone and called and spoke with Latisha and told her what the security was doing and now all of a sudden we can get in we order room service the food never showed up the ice machine was broke on the 3rd floor we had to go to the fourth floor to get ice the toilet ran all night long and was leaking water i went on the balcony for some peace of mind and was bombarded with cigarette smoke coming from over top of me thought the facility was smoke free when i was checking out i found out there are no managers on duty on sundays to handle guest complaints i promise we will never stay at your property again ....Latisha Terrance Amanda and Tiffany need a raise i appreciate them for trying to help fix the problems that occured

The staff was great and beach was beautiful. House keeping took a very long time to clean the room. It was my birthday and my partner paid for roses to be placed in the room they placed the roses in the room without cleaning or fixing the bed. It took away from the romantic gesture that was paid for.

Rooms need updating just a little. We had to call housekeeping to clean the room again for us. Because it’s wasn’t clean when we walked in. Ocean was partial not full. Room services takes really long. If you need anything like housekeeping amenities they take really long to bring you anything.

The resort was small and walkable, which was nice, but overall, I was disappointed with my stay.

I paid for a VIP upgrade but received the same service and amenities as everyone else. There was no clear distinction between regular guests and VIPs—no wristbands or anything to set us apart. Despite having \"butler service,\" the butlers were rarely available or helpful.

I also still had to pay extra for things like cabanas, which I assumed would be included with a VIP upgrade. The number of restaurants was limited, so dining options got repetitive quickly.

In the end, the upgrade wasn't worth the money. Everyone had the same access, and I didn’t feel like I got anything extra for what I paid. I wouldn’t upgrade again, and I left feeling like I wasted my money.

Beautiful but lacking

While the resort is beautiful... the service was only subpar. We stayed on the preferred side and I didn't seem like there were too many amenities that the regular guests did not have. They don't monitor the preferred side so any guest was in that area. So why pay the price for the preferred. I also didn't enjoy employees constantly trying to sell you things...and being very misleading and then being rude when you didn't want to buy what they had. Would not mostl likely not come back to a secrets resort.

Overall, we enjoyed this property. Beautiful beaches but watch out the jelly fishes. It is very safe. Some heavy drinkers shouting in the wee hours walking by our room. Room services are great. Ocean view room with Jacuzzi is excellent. Concierge service is helpful. Water sports & service team are also friendly as well. BBQ chicken vendor is one of my favorites.

Very nice place. Room was very nice. Beware of the excessive tipping culture. Overall very nice resort take advantage of all three resorts, each one has something to offer. If you can get the preferred package it has a lot of benefits. We enjoyed our stay would do it again.

We needed a quick getaway to relax and Secrets delivered. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the grounds were beautiful. The food for the most part was good. One draw back was the long walk to the main restaurants (unless you were able to get a cart). Would return for a longer stay and certainly recommend them to others.

The staff were friendly, but I did not receive the room I selected with Expedia. They downgraded my room. They did move me to a better room the next day, but still not what I selected and paid for. I called days prior and confirmed room type and it was said to be what I purchased until I got there. The rooms were not that clean and the jet tub was broken. I requested a service that was mediocre to the price of decorating the room
With roses, $150 and they only put a few on the table, a sprinkle around the edge of tube and spelled Happy birthday small on the floor. A happy birthday dash was also on the door. I requested a bath of roses. I will not be returning to this resort most likely.

The perfect getaway to relax peacefully! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful from Imani’s beautiful welcoming smile at check in to Ketler at the bar and Trudyann beachside service and Adeem at Seaside restaurant with great recommendations and Carol at Blue Mountain dinner…everyone was so gracious Peter and Ashun gave a beautiful tour of the property. Everyone told me “Welcome home” and indeed it felt like home. Thank you!

Checking in the receptionist stated we didn’t need reservations for the restaurants. But we were told at the hibachi restaurant that we needed one. The room fridge wasn’t stacked, hot tub was dirty, items left In the safe, open soda bottles in the room. Service was really poor. We also reserved a taxi with the front desk and the day of me leaving I called the taxi to confirm and he stated he was unaware. Very unprofessional

We stayed for 5 nights at Secrets St James preferred club junior suite. The property was nice but could use some updating. There were no food options on the St James side except the buffet for preferred guests, which we did eat at and was good but very limited. They also have a \"bar\" set up on the counter of liquors and mixers, but make no mistake because it is not self serve. Even if no one is attending it for several minutes. If you get caught pouring yourself a drink, they will let you know it is NOT self serve and then continue to stare at you. I found this out first hand our first night there. All dining is at Wild Orchid or at Breathless and is somewhat a walk. The buffet at World cafe was our go to for breakfast and sometimes lunch due to many options. The pool was amazing. The beach was amazing. Mostly everyone was very friendly. I did not feel like the staff was there to get you anything you need. My husband asked for coffee one day at lunch and the waitress kind of snickered and acted like it was an inconvenience. Housekeeping was very good. If you decide to order room service, expect an hour wait time. Big con for me was that the restaurants were not air conditioned. It was almost better to sit outside in the 90 degree weather and eat with a slight breeze, rather than sit inside with no air movement. Was Jamaica beaches breathtaking? Yes! Would I go back to this resort? No.

The property was beautiful and well kept. The staff here was so friendly and seemed to really want to be there. Walking down the pathways throughout the day, everyone says hello and good morning. There were many different food options, some better than others, but overall was good. We upgraded to the Preferred Club, which I don't really think was worth it. If we return, we would probably not do again.

The resort was marketed at luxury but was a little underwhelming. It took hours for check-in and we were left to wait in an extremely hot lobby. The information was not clear on what kind of liquor was included in the package. The room was nice but not very clean once we checked in. The cleaning crew only came in 1 time to clean over our entire stay. I would say the best part of the resort was the food. I rate this resort 3/5.

I wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness of our room, the pool bathrooms, or most of the bathrooms in general. It was my first time to the island so maybe most places on the island are more prone to mold but it was a bit much for me. We weren’t restocked with towels one day and it took awhile from room service to bring new. The beach, lobby and restaurants were always clean and taken care of. I did like that food was always available, and the buffets were good but we were disappointed in most dinners, especially for how long it would take to get our meals. Staff was always attentive, funny and nice. Performances and events were always good and there seemed to always be something going on. Everything was in a comfortable walking distance and the spa service was wonderful.

Renee, the manager was awesome and definitely had a kind heart. I appreciate her service and dedication to her resort guests. This was our first vacation in Jamaica and staying in a resort.
The entire safe was helpful, attentive, and friendly.
This is the pace to be.
I recommend St James Secrets Preferred or Breathless as a top choice. The roof top is AMAZING!
