If you’re looking for a fun but relaxing place to go to Rui Reggae is the place for you. You’re also able to go to the other neighbor hotels that have different vibes. Rui Reggae is by far the best place to vacation. You have 3 different pools, the beach, swim up bars & fun games throughout your stay.The cleanliness of the rooms were excellent & also comes with a balcony. The STAFF was amazing whether you’re at the lobby bar/front desk, the buffet for breakfast, lunch, dinner, entertainment staff EVERYONE! You’ll feel welcomed, entertained & at home. Thank you Rui Reggae!!!

Everything was so clean! The resort was very nice, and the buffet always had something I liked on it. If you want a party resort, this is the one to go to! Super fun to watch. I have nothing bad to say about this resort or staff. All were great. Will be back!

Food was amazing and the property was clean, staff was friendly and kind the only thing I would say Riu needs to work on the resort credit why give $600 in credits when it can only be used at the spa and it's not like you can use all of the credit for a spa visit they only take $40 off I think it's also fair to use the credit for the catamaran and all other resort activities makes a lot more sense otherwise the stay was amazing

Just returned from 6 days at riu reggae. Overall it was a good experience, it’s beautifully located on the beach with multiple pools and swim up bars. The first night I was woken up multiple times by Loud guests at 1 am, I complained and the rest of the trip seemed better. As for the food, We did the Italian and steakhouse for dinners which were hard to get reservations for, but the steakhouse was great. The buffet had a lot of options but I thought the quality could’ve been better, I found a lot of the food dry and very salty. The drinks were good as well. The shows and entertainers were top notch, but I would’ve liked some later night options as most nights after the show ended around 1030/11 there was not anything going on. You could go to the Riu Montego Bay for their nightclub but nothing at the reggae for later night options. The white party was absolutely amazing and so much fun, that was probably the highlight of the trip. The entertainment team is very interactive with the guests. Everything was clean and there were always staff cleaning, however for the last 2 or 3 nights we were not provided wash cloths and I had called the front desk and they were never brought. Overall it was a good time

Overall the Riu was ok. Nice atmosphere and the workers are very pleasant. Food was descent. I think the Riu needs more visible security 24 hours a day. My neighbors were arguing n fighting one night for awhile and not a security in sight! Also the swim up pool was a little too small. Felt like we was on top of each other. There’s no room service. House keeping took my emergency bag of bars and hydration packs I travel with ( diabetic). Overall the trip was very reasonable. So I guess you pay for what you get.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The bartenders, especially Shanti, provided excellent service, and the view from the property is truly beautiful. While I noticed a faint, unusual odor in the room, it was clearly well-maintained and spotlessly clean.

We always travel and plan a bunch of excursions and other activities. This time we just wanted to sit by the beach and relax. This was the place for that. The vibe was amazing, the ppl were great, the food was excellent. We sat by the beach for hrs listening to music from the DJ. Could not have said for a better trip.

HIGHLY enjoyed celebrating my \"Diamond Birthday\" at this resort! Everything was excellent each day we were there.... consistently! The food, the staff, the people, the culture, the beach, the music, the laughter, the hotel room, and the opportunity to have access to the other resorts under the RIU umbrella (walking distance). We also enjoyed various guided tours and on location activities provided by the hotel that were available to us. Off campus tours can be booked daily onsite as well. We couldn't ask for anything better making this decision. It was more than we expected!!

We are definitely returning to Montego Bay, Jamaica and the Hotel RIU Reggae Resort!

Wonderful until I was charged $30 for damaging 2 washclothes. Not happy. I used 1 washcloth to clean up coffee I spilled in the coffee tray while trying to pour a cup of coffee!!! The other was used to wash off máscara! Im not happy at all. I have never heard of such BS. I will never go to anyothere RIU Hotel/ resort again. I was told that is why they have housekeepers. Never again!

This was a top tier vacation. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There were lots of activities and things to do. Staying in Reggae meant we also had access to Montego Bay, and they had a lot going on there. I’m glad we chose the Reggae option, where we had less crowded pools and beach front, but we could still access the other one if we wanted.
The food was excellent with local and international options and everything was extremely tasty.
I would definitely visit again

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The toilet in my initial room was clogged, and no one assisted me until the following day. Maintenance came out four separate times but was unable to fix the issue. On the second day, I was moved to another room; however, I did not receive any housekeeping service for the remainder of my stay.
Whenever I requested towels, staff would tell me they were not assigned to my area and that I needed to contact the front desk. Unfortunately, the front desk rarely answered calls, and when I was finally able to reach someone, it took a long time for assistance to arrive. My room door was opened while I was in the shower.
Additionally, I informed the excursions staff that I was booked through Expedia, but my Expedia points were never applied.
Overall, the lack of responsiveness, poor communication, and unresolved maintenance issues made for a frustrating experience.

This property appears to be the newest addition to the RIU properties in Montego Bay. The staff was very professional and helpful throughout the entire visit. The food at the buffet was different almost everyday (which is a good thing). And you can also visit the other property for shows, dancing and eating. They also had leisure activities and amenities around their property daily. The only thing that bothered me was there was a lot of painting near my room during my visit and it was an eye sore and smelled. Besides that it would have been perfect.

Pool was nice and the entertainment crew was the best. I would also recommend booking with JR excursions & transportation services when traveling to Jamaica (876-346-2218) Chevy was super nice & very attentive!

This is my 2nd year coming and will be back . The property is very clean staff is excellent and friendly. Beach is cleaned every morning for any debris. The buffet has a little something for everyone. I did not do the ala carts this time but last year they were excellent. When staying at the Reggae you have access to the sister resort riu montego but not riu palace. Montego is fairly large also adult only i prefer the smaller riu Reggae everything is close and not a far walking distance. Rooms are maintained daily and anything you need is a phone call away. Minibar is separate from housekeeping which gives you you basics of pop beer and water along with a dispenser of gin vodka rum and scotch. Again is just a phone call to get restocked 24 hrs a day. Every room has a balcony and coffee maker along with blowdryer shampoo conditioner and hand soap they don't have lotion so may want to bring some. I had fun with my housekeeper with a little origami towel war which makes there day a little better as they are working long hours everyday.there is no atm but a short 3 min walk takes you to a bank with atms. They have a jerk hut on the beach that serves fresh jerk chicken with some sides that was delicious but be careful if you cant do spice choose bbq over jerk sauce as that also has a mild bite. Also dont leave your dirty dishes by you or you will get swarmed by the bird haha..couple people found out the hard way. Resort also has designed smoking outside which is clearly marked.

Overall, I had a good stay at RIU Reggae in Montego Bay.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. While you would expect the front desk to be more welcoming, the rest of the staff, including the bartenders, entertainment team, and restaurant staff, were amazing, friendly, and really made the experience enjoyable.
The entertainment were definitely highlight of the trip. As for the food, the buffet was much better than the specialty restaurants. The restaurant food wasn’t as fresh or as impressive, while the buffet had better variety and overall quality.

Overall, a fun stay with great vibes, but the restaurant food could be improved.

Had a clear \"partial beach view\" although our room was above the smoking area which was a bummer because who wants to smell cigarettes all day. Check in was not smooth either and my fiancee and I had to wait TWO hours past check-in time for our room to be ready. Being that we didn't get into our room until 5pm when we attempted to book dinners for our stay the restaurants we wanted to check out were all booked. Ridiculous.

While we waited for our rooms we wanted to check out the amenities and the gym in the picture on Expedia DEFINITELY does NOT mirror real-life. It was not bad I'm actuality but the picture was definitely not what was offered. Extreme false advertisement.

The food in the main buffet, Ackee was decent although my fiance found multiple foreign hairs in her pasta from the pasta bar. Decent selection of foods though but for a long stay we were worn out by the third day. We did get into Bamboo House (no reservations required) on the 3rd day for dinner and it was so-so. It was ALSO a buffet so it wasnt like ordering whole seated. The grilled salmon bites they had were fantastic, everything else we could have done without.
I've stayed at a could different RIU properties over the years and they have all had room service. Not quite sure why they don't here at an adults-only, all-inclusive resort but they definitely didn't and that was a huge bummer. I used to live ordering late night cheeseburgers but whatever I suppose.

Vibe: As an adults-only resort, the atmosphere was [Relaxing / Energetic / Fun]. Perfect for couples or groups looking for a kid-free escape.
Room Quality: The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained throughout the stay. The daily housekeeping did a fantastic job.
The View: If you can, book an ocean view room! Waking up to the turquoise waters of Montego Bay was the highlight of every morning.
Beach & Pools: The beach is beautiful and clean. I personally loved the [Infinity Pool / Swim-up Bar]—the staff there were incredibly friendly and kept the drinks flowing.
Service: The staff truly made the difference. They were always smiling and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Tips:
Dining: Make your reservations for the specialty restaurants (like the Steakhouse or Asian fusion) early!
Location: It's very close to the airport (about 10 mins), which is great for a quick arrival, though you will see/hear planes occasionally.
Connectivity: The Wi-Fi worked great throughout the property, even down by the beach.

Overall a nice trip, some of the small touches like fresh cut coconut to drink at the beach, jerk chicken bbq served at the beach. Service overall was good but just felt the service level never felt exceptional other than Zahire the server who always went above and beyond with a genuine care to elevate our experience. The area of the hotel that truly is an opportunity is the very indifferent front desk. When your flight is canceled and you need to extend your stay even if you don’t have the availability show some empathy and try and help the guest and not just tell me you don’t have availability. Nonetheless a nice visit but would consider another brand in the future.

The safe didn’t work right when I got there but someone came up and fixed it within a half hour. I was very pleased. The staff were excellent and very accommodating in all areas of the resort. Loved the view at the beach wish I was still there on my lounger listening to the waves crash.
