Had a clear \"partial beach view\" although our room was above the smoking area which was a bummer because who wants to smell cigarettes all day. Check in was not smooth either and my fiancee and I had to wait TWO hours past check-in time for our room to be ready. Being that we didn't get into our room until 5pm when we attempted to book dinners for our stay the restaurants we wanted to check out were all booked. Ridiculous.

While we waited for our rooms we wanted to check out the amenities and the gym in the picture on Expedia DEFINITELY does NOT mirror real-life. It was not bad I'm actuality but the picture was definitely not what was offered. Extreme false advertisement.

The food in the main buffet, Ackee was decent although my fiance found multiple foreign hairs in her pasta from the pasta bar. Decent selection of foods though but for a long stay we were worn out by the third day. We did get into Bamboo House (no reservations required) on the 3rd day for dinner and it was so-so. It was ALSO a buffet so it wasnt like ordering whole seated. The grilled salmon bites they had were fantastic, everything else we could have done without.
I've stayed at a could different RIU properties over the years and they have all had room service. Not quite sure why they don't here at an adults-only, all-inclusive resort but they definitely didn't and that was a huge bummer. I used to live ordering late night cheeseburgers but whatever I suppose.

The staff was amazing Abby at the buffet always made sure we had a great place to sit and she kept out mimosas filled. And Michelle at the main pool bar was amazing! The foam parties at Reggae and Montego Bay were so much fun. This is the resort to visit if you're looking for a good time. we extended our stay because we loved this place that much.

The Good Stuff:
Vibe: As an adults-only resort, the atmosphere was [Relaxing / Energetic / Fun]. Perfect for couples or groups looking for a kid-free escape.
Room Quality: The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained throughout the stay. The daily housekeeping did a fantastic job.
The View: If you can, book an ocean view room! Waking up to the turquoise waters of Montego Bay was the highlight of every morning.
Beach & Pools: The beach is beautiful and clean. I personally loved the [Infinity Pool / Swim-up Bar]—the staff there were incredibly friendly and kept the drinks flowing.
Service: The staff truly made the difference. They were always smiling and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
Tips:
Dining: Make your reservations for the specialty restaurants (like the Steakhouse or Asian fusion) early!
Location: It's very close to the airport (about 10 mins), which is great for a quick arrival, though you will see/hear planes occasionally.
Connectivity: The Wi-Fi worked great throughout the property, even down by the beach.

I enjoyed my 45th birthday trip from 3/5/26-3/8/26, the staff was amazing, the food was great! The energy was on point- I was even surprised with some birthday decorations in my room! I want to thank you all for making my first time in Jamaica and at Rit Reggae perfect! I will be back!

Overall a nice trip, some of the small touches like fresh cut coconut to drink at the beach, jerk chicken bbq served at the beach. Service overall was good but just felt the service level never felt exceptional other than Zahire the server who always went above and beyond with a genuine care to elevate our experience. The area of the hotel that truly is an opportunity is the very indifferent front desk. When your flight is canceled and you need to extend your stay even if you don’t have the availability show some empathy and try and help the guest and not just tell me you don’t have availability. Nonetheless a nice visit but would consider another brand in the future.

The safe didn’t work right when I got there but someone came up and fixed it within a half hour. I was very pleased. The staff were excellent and very accommodating in all areas of the resort. Loved the view at the beach wish I was still there on my lounger listening to the waves crash.

First i want to start by saying the staff was great. they are friendly and do a good job. the room was decent, it was a graden view but is more of a view of the other side of the building but it was okay. now for the not so good. The food simply put was horrible ( other than the beach hut ). Booking a dining experience was very difficult and when one would say it was booked there would be 5 people sitting in an empty restaurant. this happened every night. the beach was good until about 10 am when the people trying to sell you drugs and crafts showed up and stood in the water every 30 yards pressuring you to buy. overall i wouldn't recommend this facility to others. i would recommend sandals as we were there just 6 months prior and it was far superior than this riu. I know riu is well known and we may give them another chance at a different location but this one just wasn't nearly what we were hoping for.

Front desk team was cordial BUT just seemed transactional with little to no genuine care for what they do.

The staff is incredibly rude. Our flight got delayed for a day, and the hotel will not reimburse me. I’ve reached out to orbitz and the hotel, due to the hotels unwillingness to answer, they will not refund me. The girls at the front didn’t give me a towel card or WiFi password. The same food is served the next day. Also our bed room sheets had stains already in them.

Overall, the resort was nice and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, which really made the experience enjoyable. My main concern was the food selection. There wasn’t a wide variety of options, and most of the meals were served lukewarm instead of hot. Breakfast especially was limited, as there were no alternatives besides pork bacon, sausage, etc. It would be nice to see more turkey options or other non-pork and non-beef choices for guests with dietary preferences. The alcohol selection was also somewhat limited.

That said, the excellent customer service from the staff definitely helped make up for the lack of variety.

The room's layout and aesthetics were very good, however, there were just to pillows without any quilted blankets. We called and eventually received those items a few hours later. The amenities were generally fine, with the only issue being the connectivity to the WiFi network. Other than that, the food, entertainment, drinks and ambience were all of a high quality.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

The only downside was the food, which unfortunately was not of good quality and definitely needs improvement. If the hotel can work on enhancing the food options and overall quality, it would easily deserve a five-star rating.

Aside from that, everything else was great, and I appreciate the excellent service provided by the team.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the food was good. The resort is close to the airport so expect planes to be flying overhead on the beach the whole day. Employees here can accept tips but the resort didn’t have an ATM, so make sure you bring cash if you plan to tip your workers. The employees were all super friendly. Lastly, this hotel has constant cruise-type entertainment and music playing, so if you want a quiet relaxing trip, it might not be the place for you.

The buffet areas were actually really great here! This is the first time I’ve said that about an AI, but breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were really the best part of this resort.
Room was nice and A/C ran perfectly. We had an oceanfront king room, it was basic and above one of the swim up pools. The pool closes quite early so there won’t be a lot of noise from that, which was great. The main buffet was 2 floors below us and there was never any extra noise or food smells, which was great having it so close to us.

We both enjoyed our stay at the RIU Reggae. The room was clean, comfortable and the inclusive drinks in the room made it much more relaxing. The food buffet style was exceptional. Loved the different choices that were provided. During the day the pool area was a little more louder than we are used to, but the more lively guests were really enjoying their time. The pool area was large enough though to accommodate us. The beach area had great sand and easy access to the sea, with plenty of beach recliners. Overall a great stay

Disappointed from the moment we got out of the taxi. The welcome cocktail was not offered until we asked, and the front desk staff showed little interest in guests. The room safe did not work, and despite calling the front desk and reporting it three times through the RIU app, no one ever showed up.

Food was low quality and repetitive. I’ve stayed at other RIU resorts that were much better—management here clearly needs more competent staff.

This was an awesome stay! It felt good to just wake up and not have to worry about anything. Place was nice and clean. Staff very friendly. Shout out to the night crew in the Reggae RIu in the buffet, one of the servers— i think the young ladies name is Nashae. Top tier!! and the entertainers all did a wonderful job! The food was delicious at the Asian restaurant but the buffet food was really bland, none of the food taste like authentic Jamaican food like i thought it would, which was upsetting. Other than that, i enjoyed my stay at my first all inclusive!
