Although the room was clean and tidy, it was somewhat dated and the Wifi signal very weak. Food was very limited.
The adjacent beach very small - not really suitable for families.

Yes the room and bathroom was good, good amenities. Clean room with fridge and microwave. Front door had a whole and needs fixing. Otherwise everything was good. Scenery of beach was great. Also watching the airplanes landing and taking off. Close to beach and airport.

Do not recommend this hotel!!. There were moths and bugs in the room, the bed sheet had stains on them, and there is a bar just a few steps from the hotel that has a DJ that plays music until 12:30am. Very loud, you cannot sleep!

Tiny room with leaky fridge and outlets that didn’t work. Stand up Shower had no pressure, I’m talking drips of water. Staff was very nice. Had working AC. TV. Right across the street from a small, free beach. Lots of garbage and glass on beach. Little local restaurant on property. It was so/so things like goat, beef tongue. And bottled drinks. Kinda sketchy strip with a sidewalk. Lots of people came up to us asking for money including kids, saying things like I’m just gonna let them starve if I don’t give them money. Not very kid safe as lots of people drinking and smoking all over the sidewalk, also urinating right in the open on the sidewalk or in bottles they just leave on the ground. For not being in a resort area this was the nicest place I found close to airport, no fresh fruit anywhere.

This is a small hotel with nice surprises. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The view of the ocean was calming. Next door is a quaint restaurant. The staff also arranged the needed taxi service to the airport. I enjoyed that the staff took time to just have a conversation about life.

My flight was cancelled and my intention was to stay near the airport for my morning flight.
Check in was quick, security guard very welcoming. Self parking.
Small hotel by the MBJ airport, budget friendly, clean rooms, with amenities.
Noisy due to planes landing and taking off but beautiful to watch.
Unfortunately the street bar next door blaring music was louder than the planes.

*Would recommend for very short stay to be close enough to Mobay airport*

The location was pretty ideal. Upon checking, in I was met by a staff member who requested my info to find my name, took out a terminal and requested payment for my stay despite me already prepaying. Once I relayed that, she told me my room number and that the door would be open. Turns out, the individual was their security guard. I got to my room and it was being cleaned (I'd appreciate my room being ready considering I arrived over an hour after check-in time, but I'm understanding enough).

I stayed in 3 different hotels total during my trip. I think this hotel needs to invest in door shields to prevent insects from coming inside. Luckily, I was only there for 1 night, but the amount of insects the following morning that managed to get into my room was pretty amazing.

I understand that labour starts early, but outside of competing with the understandable plane noises, there was someone drilling and hammering in the evening and early morning, which was fun to experience.

Shower/ bathroom was clean, but with the noise of workers, it sounded like they right outside of my window, which didn't have any curtains to draw in the bathroom.

More context/detail:
Late 40s/early 50s couple. We enjoy the local experience. Give us a local hotel within range of food stuff to do and we're good. The Airport Beach Hotel was like gold in that respect:

LOCATION
- Close to the airport so we were able to maximize our time on vacation. The hotel is literally a couple hundred yards from the runway, but the airport noise at night was not disruptive at all.

- On a third mile(ish) strip where locals go to hang and play music until late. The sides of the street are packed with cars and \"tent bars\" (a canopy with a folding table with beer & liquor for sale on it), and there are two small beaches.

- Less than a mile to the Hip Strip (look it up) and Doctor's Cave Beach - easy, safe walking, or grab a short Uber.

FOOD
- A local restaurant right across the yard from our room that served THE BEST Jamaican food. Brown stew chicken, saltfish & beans, breadfruit, red snapper, boiled dumplings, fried dumplings, yams, plantains - I could go on and on. It's a place locals come to eat, even though it's somewhat out of the way, if that's any indication. One hundred out of 5 stars.

- Next door to another restaurant that's open late, so if you want some Scotch Bonnet wings or a Red Stripe or some Jerk Chicken at night you can get them when other restaurants are closed. Epic bartenders.

Room was ok, staff was ok, location at the end of the street of a few big hotels. I didn’t appreciate the loud music being played on a Tuesday night until 11:00 pm outside the door. Good for a one night stay for me. The staff also helped me get a ride to the airport 👍🙏

Keep in mind there has just been a terrible hurricane that had devastated Montego Bay, the hotel is operating, it’s clean , the people are nice the air conditioning is cold and internet and tv is working, everything else is difficult but they’re trying , one can see , to bring stuff back up to speed

The hotel had suffered damage from Hurricane Melissa, so I'm sure they weren't operating as normal. The room was adequate and clean. Wifi worked. The restaurant apparently was destroyed by the hurricane and was not operating, so there was no advertised breakfast either. The staff were nice, but we had to wait for someone to show up in the office when we arrived, also for someone to show up in the office when we were ready to leave. I think they did the best they could under the difficult post-hurricane conditions.

Was perfect for a convenient location next door to airport. We only stayed one night due to needing to be closer to the airport. Front desk staff and security was very nice. Restaurant and bar next door was convenient. Rooms were cute and clean. Air condition was great. Rooms had toiletries and everything we needed. Price was very cheap. It was noisy but it was due to the location. I would stay here again if needed.

This hotel is conveniently located right near the airport which is perfect for early departures/late arrivals. The staff are very friendly and the room was clean. Few things to note though, it can be quite noisy at night due to the location being a party spot for locals and because you're basically right beside the takeoff/landing strip. Also, although everything was clean, the rooms could use a little TLC.

This property was economical and super close to the airport. It is on the local strip so it was very very noisy. There was a lot of people outside sonce there are a lot of bars and restaurants down the street but the airport was about 5 minutes away so it worked for me. I was only there over night. If you want to be close to live music and the company of others this is the place.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I travel a lot and thought this might help someone. This was a quick business trip, and I just needed a clean bed to rest for a few hours—nothing fancy.

The place is basically a motel, but it was clean. The room had a microwave, coffee machine, and mini fridge. However, there was no coffee provided, and when I asked the guy at the front office, he didn’t have any and didn’t know how to use the coffee machine either.

Staff didn’t wear uniforms, so it was hard to tell who actually worked there. That said, the essentials were there, and the room was decent.

The location is right across the street from the beach, which is great—but also noisy. It seems like locals hang out there at night, partying and blasting music. I was very tired, so I managed to sleep, but it could be a problem for light sleepers.

Bottom line: if you’re not looking to spend $600+ a night on an all-inclusive resort and just need a clean, simple place to crash for a short business stay in Montego Bay, this place does the job.

Lovely little property. Though rooms could do with more electrical sockets and furniture /decor upgrade. Rattling door which needs fixing. A bedside table lamp would be nice instead of getting out of bed to switch light off. However, Great staff. Cleanliness good. Food served on site excellent. Loved the local beach front used by the locals too - loved this. Would return and recommend to those who could cope with a 2.5 / 3 star hotel which is clean, friendly and homely. Not a 4 or 5 star. I can cope but I know some of my friends/family could not. Nice stay with little issues only as mentioned above.

Worst stay ever. Rude and poor service

First day we arrived, we were told to wait in the office for 1.5 hours while she finished cleaning the room. When the next guests arrived, they had to stand with their luggage outside of their rooms - I think they’re smart and I think they left this place. Always a nasty party on the back side of the hotel. Loud until 3am. The maid, Rona, showed us her tip from someone else insinuating for us to tip her. She never cleaned the sheets. We had to ask for the comforter for the first day and a half and we asked multiple times and all we got was a “it’s coming” and we had asked for towels, she never cleaned the room, and never cleaned the sheets for the entire week. Other Jamaicans on this side of town just aggressively harass you to get money. I will never be back. Americans, beware.

You can walk across the street to a seawall, to watch the ocean, a small area to maybe put your feet in some sand. Don’t try to sleep, the music is playing all night long on a Monday.

I was looking somewhere close to town that had security and this turned out to be a prime location for me. If you're looking somewhere to lay your head for a brief bit, in a prime yet private location, this it it! In the day I enjoyed doing plane watching from the upper deck and in the morning it was peaceful to wake up so close to the beach. There was a restaurant close by with a great vibe that I didn't check out but I think I've found my Mobay chill spot.
The check in was uncomplicated and I got good parking! The amenities were basic but necessary and the place was adequately cleaned. Apart from the WiFi, I had only one issue which I'll be happy to speak with Management about but I have to give it to the employees! From Ms. Carlene(housekeeping), Greg at security and that lady at the front desk, they were great! Good Jamaican hospitality!

We only stayed 1 night, just for somewhere to rest before traveling home. Prior we stayed at a beaches resort...The only good take away is that it is 8 minutes to MBJ airport. They do not offer shuttle service. Reception is bad. There were a lot of people hanging out in front and the bar stays open and loud next door until day break. The rooms are uncomfortable. But there are taxis waiting to take you for a fee to the airport. Do not let them hustle you. Uber/Lyft charges $11 usd or 1,600 their currency (jmd) so you shouldn't pay a taxi over either amount. MOST OF THEM WILL TRY TO HUSTLE YOU.

It was a great in budget experience.

Our stay at airport beach hotel was a great experience. Andy was there when we arrived, I got the keys in a few mins and we are in room in no time.

Rooms were cozy and can't complain anything about it for the budget friendly hotel.

Someone was always available for any help, so really good service.

Beach is just few steps away.

Just one thing that I didn't like, at night, out side of the hotel the whole street got converted to party hall, every one pull up their car at beach, and you get all bad kind of people, like drunk, smokers and the whole area got lil unfriendly for family.

It's not a fault of Hotel though, but the area was lil unfriendly at night, so it'll help families to choose the hotel.
If you are okay to not going out at night time, this Hotel is the best, everyone at hotel was so polite and ready to help.
