Every head must bow, every tongue must confess: The Secrets wild orchid is the best all inclusive in Jamaica. This Hotel is perfection, they did suck a good Job taking care of all the guest during the Hurricane Melissa.

All the staff we came across were very polite and friendly. My wife did not like her dinning experience at the main dinning room for breakfast. She complained that there was a very rank smell in that dinning room that also extended to the blue mountain restaurant that was bothering her, so i had to take her breakfast to the room or seek dinning after breakfast at other outdoor eating hubs because she refuses to go back to the dinning hall. Other than that the experience was great

If you enjoy paying an exorbitant amount of money for what is sold as a premium service in an elevated room, and then receiving subpar at best, Secrets Wild Orchid is for you! The start of our stay was typical, bellman greeted us and took our bags. When we get to our room, after having to sit through a 20 min sales pitch to go to their timeshare presentation, we see that room is a bit dated and there’s also a huge dead roach next to the trash can that cleaning failed to address before our check in. Hungry and fatigued, we head out for supper identifying the seafood restaurant for dinner, only to find out they closed that restaurant for dinner long ago and didn’t update the application. We then go to the Caribbean restaurant for the evening, they weren’t serving patties and were out of a number of things even thought it was 6:00 pm. That said, the jerk chicken was tasty. This was a constant theme, EXTREMELY limited menu, only shrimp as the seafood, they were constantly out of menu items. Also, we observed food sitting out over 8 hours, to make matters worse in the preferred club. Daily, we had to beg for towels, and proper cleaning. Our butlers were inattentive and left at 5. The spa was dated, and the appt started late because the staff didn't arrive to work on time. The beach was filled with rocks and trash. We were trapped in a 4 hour sales pitch with rude staff. Scammy taxis associated with the resort. Honestly, i’m out of characters , but don’t go, it’s horrid!

The tiles on the floor in my room were peeling up. Also the sliding door did not seem very secure with that one little pin that was provided. The staff was great and friendly. I also had a Ga Power that if there were any small reptiles or animals they could’ve fit under there so I placed a towel at the door every day when it rained the rain also came inside the door

Overall, my stay was good, but I did encounter some rude staff at times. During checkout, they also attempted to add a false charge, claiming my balance wasn’t fully paid because they hadn’t charged enough earlier, which wasn’t true. I’d recommend carefully reviewing your bill before leaving.

I had an incredible experience at this resort! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The amenities were beautifully designed and well-maintained, the property was spotless, and the staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. Their hospitality truly made the stay unforgettable, and I’d highly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

That said, the dining experience could use some improvement. While the food wasn’t bad, it felt more tailored to an American palate. As someone visiting the island, I was hoping for more authentic, locally inspired cuisine that reflects the rich culture and flavors of the destination. A greater emphasis on traditional dishes would elevate the experience.

The beach view was nice. The property was ok, not as exciting as I had expected. A majority of the female Jamaican employees here have a smug attitude. There were a few genuinely nice ones. The food here is not authentic, so don’t come thinking you’re gonna get some real good Jamaican food lol… not even close. Over it wasn’t the worse but I wouldn’t come back.

Our rooms which we were with 20 other people, Had roaches. They dont clean the room well at all. Spills from previous guests were still there, food, toothpaste etc. and thats because we arrived 3 hours before check in (3pm)and our room wasnt ready until 4pm. We will return to Jamaica just not this resort.

The property and service were great. Enjoyed the all-inclusive and adult-only features. Dinning opitions were good, but service at dinner was a bit slow at times.

A word of caution - they will entice you into listening to a \"no pressure\" sales pitch to buy in to their vacation club. We were offered $150 to attend a 90 minute sales presentation. It ended up being a 2 hour presentation and was anything but \"no pressure\". I was very disappointed with this aspect of the stay. We spent 2 hours of our one free day trapped in a very aggressive sales pitch. I highly recommend you avoid the sales presentation.

Although the property is beautiful, the trip was a disaster from the start! It was so much dust in the room, it appeared that it hasn’t been cleaned in months! I had an OCEAN FRONT suite, & tried to get a ln early check in. I was told the person left early, so they’re cleaning the room! I stayed at the desk bc I was told Expedia nvr sent my deposit $585, and I had to pay 1170.22 to stay! 😡 This elite room, was a MESS! Dust doesn’t build up like that in 2 days! My sister kept sneezing/coughing the entire time! I spoke with the front desk and showed them the pics of the mold, dust, and dirty furniture, to no avail! I was told housekeeping would come & do a deep cleaning, and I’m still waiting….Im home now! They didn’t come to clean, there was no Happy Birthday sign on the door, and the balcony door didn’t lock! Maintenance did fix the door, but one would think, they would try to accommodate us! 🙄 My sister is a preferred member too, but I paid for the trip, for her birthday! At the restaurants, you will always wait a hour or more for your food! We ate at Blue Mountain but had to wait almost a hour to be seated. Then to wait another hour for our food was absolutely not acceptable! The manager said he would make it right, after my sister told him the room conditions, but when we went to the front desk the next day, he was at lunch! He came in while we were at the front desk, looked at us, & kept walking to the back office, not even acknowledging us! NVR STAYING AT SECRETS AGAIN

We enjoyed the property and our vacation was great! The room was nice and every staff member we encountered was friendly. The food and the swim up bar in the main pool were our favorites. There was live entertainment several nights while we were there and it was very enjoyable. I will mention that the A/C system in the room needs an upgrade because we weren’t able to adjust it the temperature. Our room was ice cools and we had to have the maintenance staff come lower the temp, but then it was too warm and they had to come back and raise the temp. My wife said it was too cold again, but we didn’t want to mention it anymore to the staff. Overall, it was a great time.

Overall we had a good time during our stay. The pros were the great selection of places to eat. Our room was cleaned daily and the grounds were beautiful. Unfortunately there were some cons which we experienced upon arrival. The person who checked us in was nice and told us to go to another staff member to talk about coupons. The staff the the coupon desk Brandon in particular was very rude and had an attitude especially after we asked if he was pitching a “ time share pitch” which we would not be interested in if he was. After our long flight and drive to the resort the last thing we were expecting was a having to deal with a rude worker just minutes after checking in. It made for a bad start to our vacation.

The jerk chicken truck every day was amazing. The staff were super helpful and sweet. The food and drinks were great. The beaches were beautiful and very soft. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the room when we first arrived. The counter tops had not been cleaned and you could still see ring marks from where cups had previously been. However, throughout our stay, housekeeping did a great job and everything was wonderful.

This was a sad experience. We were never welcomed properly but we were hounded to sit for a presentation. They never showed us the property, never knew about 3 restaurants, never ate lunch, never received towels, never told about butlers, never told about food hours, nothing! But they catered to others. We were not allowed to dine in a cover up at an all adults resort when others were permitted. There was a few amazing staff that made the trip what it was especially Shelly, Brandon, Nicholas, and Jazz. If they had accommodated us we would stayed longer, it was very sad.

This place was worth every penny!

This was my first ever all inclusive resort. I’ve been told what is included, but most of it seemed too good to be true, but this place delivered everything plus more. I cannot express how amazing this resort was.

Food:
The food was amazing. They have numerous restaurants which are all included in your package. The Italian & French restaurant were the best. The portion sizing are enough to fill you up, but not enough to make you feel disgusting. Each restaurant has a separate wine menu for an up charge, but they also offer house wines that are included in your stay. The buffets and lunch spots were always good too.

Room service:
Truly unlimited and the workers will place your stuff in a “secret” box that connects to your room. Super easy to order on the Hyatt app. The mini bar offers Coke, Coke Zero and 2 beers which is a lager and a Pilsner.

The property is gorgeous and well kept. Everywhere you look looks like a picture on a post card. The people are beyond kind and will do whatever to make your trip better. If you want to kick your feet up and relax by the pool or by the ocean then this will be the place for you.

The only negative we experienced was our room wasn’t ready until 4 pm (which wasn’t a big deal. We brought swim stuff in a backpack so we were drinking cocktails by the ocean and hardly noticed) and our TV didn’t work (we were only in the room to sleep or change). Highly recommend bring nice clothes (even nice pants).

Staff was outstanding!!! Food was blah. Too many rules on getting and taking leftover food back when we did enjoy the few meals! Extra charges for TOO many things for all inclusive! Resort offered free snorkeling but turned us away every day because of Moon jellyfish which we were told by locals didn't even sting..but kept being offered outside excursions for snorkeling for $250plus! We were bombarded as soon as we arrived to BUY EXTRA packages!!! I feel we paid enough in the first place!!!
