This was my third stay in this hotel, and the first time my room was on the fifth (highest) floor. The water pressure in the shower was pretty bad, probably because of the high floor. In previous visits, while my room was on a lower floor, water pressure was ok.

Check in was very easy and staff were friendly. The room was clean and fresh. Bed was a little firm for and the pillows weren’t that great for me. Good sizes window which could be opened wide for ventilation. Furniture in the room was sparse.One desk chair and one occasional chair. No fridge in the room. A big minus for me. There was a convenient self serve area on the third floor with a cooktop, oven, microwave and two washing machines and dryers. 3.5 euro per cycle. Minimal cooking utensils so you wouldn’t be cooking much. It was clean and tidy and you could help yourself to extra towels, soap and toilet paper.
The breakfast room was pleasant and the breakfast was basic but good for the price. They could have mixed it up a little, the same every morning. They had eggs in a bain marie but the sausages were left in pans and pots on a stove top and were cold. No pastries or cakes if you enjoy that for Breakfast. Coffee machines did not make the greatest coffee.

The weather was strange and we had some trouble with determining the correct temperature. Also there were comforters on the beds. Just a sheet or just a sheet and blanket would have been nice options. The bathroom shower had a slick floor and you ought to do something about that. Also grab-bars in the shower would help. I know that those are not wanted universally but grabbing onto the show controls is not ideal.

The location of the hotel is excellent, in a nice neighbourhood area with superb transport links. The U3, tram 20, and some buses terminate next to the hotel so it is very easy to get in and around the city, and the S1 train stops there and runs between the city and the airport so it is also incredibly easy to get to and from the airport.

The hotel is clean and very well-presented, with friendly and helpful reception staff. The breakfast buffet was also excellent with really helpful and efficient staff. The room itself was clean, spacious and very well-equipped with a large ensuite, closet, desk, TV and air con.

Outstanding Experience at Harry's Hotel Apartment!

I highly recommend Harry's Hotel Apartment to families seeking a convenient, comfortable, and quiet retreat. The hotel's proximity to train, bus, and tram stations makes commuting a breeze. The staff went above and beyond, assisting me in purchasing group tickets, which was a huge plus!

The adjacent supermarket is well-stocked and incredibly convenient. What impressed me most, however, was the hotel's remarkable soundproofing – despite being situated next to the train station, the rooms are remarkably quiet.

Overall, Harry's Hotel Apartment exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a hassle-free, family-friendly stay with exceptional service, look no further!

We enjoyed our stay at Harry’s in Munich while visiting for Oktoberfest! The location is great and right outside of the city center. About a 20 minute train ride into the Munich center. The public transportation was so convenient and located right outside of the hotel. The area was nice, as there was also many restaurants, a grocery store and banks within walking distance. The staff was excellent and very helpful with the questions we had. The rooms were clean, although a little dated and nothing fancy. We had 3 people staying in one room, which I wish was a little bigger. Overall our stay was great and I would recommend staying here.

I liked the convenience of everything available near by. Very friendly staff.
I didn't like that comforter cover, and pillow covers were not made when I checked in. I had to make it myself, obtaining them from the self help location. No hot water was available the entire stay of 3 days. Last morning, I had to kill 2 bugs walking inside the shower.

1. We really had wonderful stay at Harry’s home and hotel. We felt at home in this place.
2. The S station is just down the hotel. Even the U, tram and bus everything is just nearby.
3. There is a big grocery store right next door.
4. Commute was a breeze from this hotel.
5. There is even a children play area in this hotel which has arts, crafts and toys such an amazing room :)
6. The room was spacious and clean!

We would highly highly recommend anyone visiting Munich to book this place. We would surely come back again :)

I stayed here for the Euros. The hotel staff spoke great English and were helpful. The hotel rooms are really sound proof, considering Moosach is a travel hub. The hotel has washing machines and vending machines. I would happily stay in Harry’s Home again in the future.

The hotel was perfectly balanced on what you need, and what you do not need for a business stay. The bathroom and bed and desk were far more functional and comfortable than a major chain hotel, and the design was modern and fresh. 100% I will stay again in Harry's Home!

The rooms are a bit outside city center but just a few feet from the train station and it’s easy to get anywhere. A nice parking lot and shopping mall with restaurants, coffee shops and a full grocery store are next door so the location is wonderful.

The room was clean and nice, larger than I expected. It took awhile for this American to figure out the power (there is a master switch you have to put your room key into) but otherwise no problems. I appreciated the on-site staff at reception, it’s nice to have a real person to ask questions. We did not use the breakfast buffet as we went to the cafe and had a croissant and cappuccino for breakfast.

Harry's home made us feel at home in a foreign country. I can not recommend them more. First, they upgraded us to one bedroom also provided a free parking. The room is modern, quite and clean. Apart from a comfort living, there is a mini-gym in the room. I enjoyed the view outside. We can see tall churches in old town at sunny days. The reception staff is very friendly. I appreciate Mr. Bernhard’s hospitality, his information helped us planning trips in the city.

We had a wonderful time at Harry's Home Hotel in Munich. We were2 couples in a 2-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and sitting area. It was perfect for us and the location was ideal. Trains, trams, and buses were all just outside, within a few steps. Very convenient, very nice hotel.

The hotel is quite new (2015), has a modern look and everything actualy works :) The stuff is very friendly and the hotel has an interesting option of customizing your stay (for ex. you can opt out from cleaning service which will take out around 5 EUR of your room rate). Most rooms have a small kitchen which allows some level of feeling like home with a lot of shops around it. There is no restaurant in the hotel, only a breakfast area but the area is very good so you have a few options to dine out if needed.

Airport. 20 mins away from the center, and in Munich if you buy a train ticket it is valid from the beginning till the end of the day so you can use it for the metro , tram and buses .

Bad experience in a well-reviewed hotel

The hotel staffs were not so organised and the male receptionist did not served us with integrity and promptedness. The room itself is quite good with enough space and crockery for cooking a simple meal. But the fridge that we had in the room smelled of rotten fish. The hairdryer that was already fixed in the bathroom did not function well but it was quickly resolved after mentioning to the female receptionist.

Planned and built to use space efficiently. Reminds me of the Citizem M hotels. The tram (20), train (S1) and subway (U3) systems all have stops within a block so you can go anywhere in Munich quickly. The trams make it especially easy to get to Nordbad and Dante swimming pools which are open at night. Next to a shopping mall. We also liked a couple of restaurants close by.

U-Bahn and train stations are a few minute walk away and you can get to city center in 15-20 minutes without hassle or traffic. Room was clean and comfortable without noise. Breakfast was decent and overall I was satisfied with my stay.

Pros:

Hotel is very very easy to get to from the airport and is very convenient for getting downtown quickly with both a light rail and a metra rail within less than a minute walk.

24 hr bar, staffed by the desk attendant.

A few very good cheap coffee/pastry and kebab places really close. A few restaurants close as well. Won't really go into that because standards vary.

Cons: parts of the room felt a bit, well, cheap. Bathroom door wouldn't lock (not a big deal for a hotel room obviously) and one of the door handles kept falling off (we left it on the desk hoping for it to be fixed but didn't want to open a ticket since the door wouldn't shut anyway). Part of the shower door sealant was coming off.

The wifi in our room was very very bad. It was not reliable in the slightest and to obtain reliable connection for buying a train ticket we had to go down to the lobby. For reference the room was on the 5th floor and this could be room specific, so your mileage may vary.

Overall it's a pretty good and extremely convenient hotel for the price, nested in a quaint part of town. The wifi issue rubbed a little harder than normal because one of the party couldn't get euro cell service working so he relied on that and it basically wasn't there.

Great hotel. Modern design. Clean. No carpet. Location is great - Right on the Train line (S1) and the subway line (U3). Downtown is 12-15 minutes on either system. Airport is on S1. Super easy to find as it is right across from the train station. Despite that, rooms are super quiet. Staff is very helpful. Also attached to a Taiwanese restaurant and shopping market. Shopping market has a huge grocery store and a few restaurants (including a really good and affordable Turkish gyro/grilled lamb place). Hotel has a self serve washer and dryer which is great (6 euro total). Rooms have privacy curtains which makes it completely dark even at 10am. No fancy shampoos, etc. Just a 'soap' that serves as shampoo, body wash, and sink soap :)

Great find in Munique. Hotel next to subway or train station with easy access to the city center (10-15minutes). Very clean, with good air conditioning (I went in the summer with 35C and it worked very well).
Accommodation is new and offers all you need for a short stay or for who is using the hotel basically to sleep.
It also have a good garage for a good price. Definitely will stay again when I come back to Munique.

Not bad but if only...

Harry's Home Munich is not a bad hotel. It just leaves you wishing that the designers and people who run the place could have done so much more to realize its potential. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment which was actually 3 adjoining rooms with the living/kitchenette area in the middle. Space was ample. There was no washing machine although one could have been fitted. The kitchenette has a decent selection of cooking utensils and crockery/cutlery. Alas, there was no dish washer and the hotel does not provide you with any dishwashing liquid or sponge. There is no phone in the room and hence no way for you to contact reception. It is also the first hotel that I have come across that does not provide tissue paper. There are also other nitty areas that make for great hotels that Harry's Home is lacking - the living area has a small rug that probably has not seen the vacuum cleaner much. Plates, cups and saucers have chips and were not replaced. Liquid soaps in the bathrooms were not topped up despite running very low during our 3 nights stay.

On the plus side, it has great location away from the maddening crowd of downtown Munich. The S-bahn and U-bahn stations are steps away providing access to the airport in about half an hour and minutes to various destinations in the city. Kaufland and Aldi supermarkets nearby with many restaurant and bakeries nearby including a great Thai restaurant a little further away.The reception staff are great and the aircon worked fine.
