Staff was fantastic! After we checked out and were waiting to board our flight home, we realized we left items in the room safe. We called the hotel and they checked and retrieved our items and put them aside. Friends of ours that live in Munich picked them up, everything was accounted for. Can’t say enough about the hotel and the location!

Pros: parking was convenient. Neat Italian grocery store next door.

Cons: Area near hotel felt a bit unsafe. Not enough restaurants nearby. Hotel room lacking. Bathroom extremely tiny, carpet was filthy and needed a deep clean. Breakfast was expensive so we didn't purchase. Would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.

Moosach is a nice area with plenty of options to lunches and dinners. The hotel is situated in a very nice location of Moosach. Helpful staff, clean room. Loved the fact that I was able to open the window very widely. I'd consider staying here again when visiting my grandma.

parking problems !

Parking is a big issue if you have a big car(7 people) , There are only 3 spots outside all other are in a low celling garage.

I got help on first night from one if the guest and on te second the manager saved me a spot. If you think you will have an issue call in advance, don't come late and find out you can't park!!

We checked into this hotel due to the airport being closed for a day due to the snowstorm. The staff were very helpful and helped us get our room ready a bit earlier as we were quite tired travelling around. In addition, the staff helped me connect with my airline as we had to rebook our tickets. The hotel is a few minutes from U and S bahn, and there are so many options for food/grocery shopping.

The breakfast was excellent and had many options. The hotel can be updated - needing new beds and bed linens. Our room was non-smoking but definitively smelled of smoke. When we checked in, the staff member at the front desk was not welcoming and made mistakes on our bill which had to be corrected by a manager. Manger was great the next day.

We only stayed one night and didn't really use their service except just slept overnight. The location of the hotel is more in the out skirt of Munich. It is not ideal for tourist. However, it is close to the transit. The reception staffs are nice. The room is clean. Our room was facing the street so it was quite noisy at night. The room size was ok, not too small. The only complain I have is the glass curtain for the tub/shower. It was a piece of glass installed on a hinge that only covered 1/3 of the tub. There is no way to prevent water tp spill on the floor. it was a weird desigh. Other than that, it's ok.

very good location, away from the city centre but easily accessible with the underground nearby. easy to travel from and to airport, and to lots of different places of interest with the train, tram and buses too.
a bit noisy but we had a good stay. breakfast is expensive 19 euro, but there is a supermarket next door when you can get cheaper breakfast options!

This is a budget hotel and I had a room in the circular building which was fine with a stand-in shower.

What I didn't like was the fact that I paid 199 EUR for a 1 night stay.

We were a little disappointed with our two night stay in November 2018.
Although it was clean in the room it certainly wasn't what i would describe as a superior room which is what we paid for. Our bed was two single beds pushed together and no bathrobes in the room as described on their website.The breakfast was ok and the location is very quiet with easy access to transport.

Really good hotel with good staff. Clean, quiet and nice breakfast. Only issue to note is that the hotel advertises all rooms as having a kitchenette facility. However, if you book a room with an extra bed for a child then the room has to be a 'comfort' one and you will NOT get a kitchenette. This was OK for us but if you are travelling with smaller kids and these facilities are more important then you should not rely on the advertised facilities.

Pretty solid.

Great location, right by s20 train and moosach station. You will need to buy rings 1-4 metro pass and that will get you to most places in Munich. Hotel was nice, staff was real rude for no reason on one occasion but I stayed here many nights and most of the time they were good so I’ll let it slide.

The room was spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for things several times during our stay and the desk immediately brought them to our room. Great place to stay.

The U-bahn, S-bahn and tram stop are very close by giving easy access to the city and airport.

A grocery store, laundromat and drug store are extremely close and there are several restaurants within minutes of the front door.

Our stay in Leonardo was a good stay. We took advantage of its proximity to the metro station.
the staff was very friendly. The room was a little too small for 3. The rollaway bed was not comfortable for an adult. Ok for a kid maybe.
The breakfast buffet was great. Very nice and clean B-fast area, and very friendly staff.

Nice hotel but not close to marientplatz.

It was a nice cosy hotel in a calm area (Moosach)in munich. The hotel is very close to S-bahn ((S1 that takes you from the airport to the hotel (around 25 min to Moosach) and from the hotel to the main trainstation (around 20 min) and from the U-bahn ((U3 that takes you to marientplatz (around 25 min), Olympiapark/BMW musuem (around 5min)..). We found this a little far from the attractions, so if you prefer to be closer to the downtown, than this is considered little far. However, the metros are very cheap and very easy to use that run till late after 1am. The rooms are big and clean, the toilet was fine also. The one problem with the toilet was that the drainage of the bathtub was not efficient and while showering, the bathtub would be filled with around 5cm of water. I hope this can be fixed. As to the breakfast, it was ok. Not alot of varieties and the exact same items served every day,but was fine. We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights, and it would have been nice to maybe change two items every couple of days. The staff were helpful, the best was Miss Rackhel (i think she was the manager) who was knowledgable with everything, fluent in English and helped us perfectly. Right next to the hotel there are two minimarkets, and in front of the hotel there is a beer garden. To reach the hotel, get the S1 ticket for the \"whole area\" of munich for 1 or 3 days for 1 person or up to 5. This ticket can be used on all metros, trams, buses, for as how many times as you need.

Small, quiet and cozy hotel

Stayed for 1 night for business purposes. Hotel is small and intimate, rooms are reasonably sized, with adequate facilities and accessories. Shower was a bit small in size. Breakfast is above elementary, but not luxuriance or overwhelming. All in all it was a good experience and definitely very good value for money.

Great transport links & cheaper alternative

This hotel is a hidden gem, yes it's away from downtown but the price savings make it worthwhile considering. Why? Well it's 3 minutes walk from the S1 train from the airport and 2 mins from U Bhan U3 which runs every 10 minutes and gets you downtown in 15 minutes. The room was spacious, the only thing that let it down for me was that the bed was a bit hard, but that's just my preference. Breakfast was 13 euros, hot and cold buffet, was clean and tasty. I stayed there for Munich marathon which was just 4 stops away on U Bhan at Olympic Park, I'd stay there again. Reception staff very helpful,

Overall, our experience at the hotel was good. The only issue was the very long (and late) check-in (1.5 hours or so). Otherwise the hotel was clean, wifi and breakfast were both good. There is also easy access for transit in the city (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, buses).

This hotel is really out of the way in a suburban neighborhood. I mistakenly booked this hotel thinking that it was the Leonardo in the City Centre. I would have preferred one of the hotels closer to the train station.

Once renovation complete, excellent

Leonardo is still renovating after buying out the hotel. Once all rooms are renovated, each room will have air conditioning. Until then, it's the window and a fan they leave in the room (without requesting even, yay). Stayed on 1st floor in a renovated hallway & room. The room was perfect with nice bathroom, closet area, safe, fridge, etc. Slightly noisy on the front with road noise, those it was a pretty quiet evening. Nice restaurant with beer garden across the street. One block from the S-bahn, U-bahn, tram, and stores including bank and Aldi grocery store.

The Leonardo was recommended by friends. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room comfortable and quiet. I didn't use the public areas, a breakfast room and a bar, but both looked inviting and there was a nice garden area.

Try to find somewhere else

Rooms were clean but unbearably hot despite open windows at night. Why this is, I really don't know. So we had to put up with a very busy street wich meant we could just doze for a few hours. When we asked about the poor Wi-Fi signal in the rooms, we were told the signal was much better in the corridor. So this is where we ended up checking mails and planing our stay in Munich - in the corridor because in the room there was either no signal at all or the occasional one bar. Have they not heard anything of power line adapters? Excellent and really fresh roles for breakfast but the cheapest tea you can get. I tried black tea and hoped I might fare better with peppermint but I did not.

Convenient for early morning flights

Very convenient to the S-Bahn (about 5 minutes walk even with suitcases) and within easy reach of the airport when the S-Bahn drivers are working. There appear to be restaurants and a small supermarket close by. Hotel staff welcoming and helpful. Only negative is that they are still using metal door keys on very heavy tags - a real nuisance when you go out and for a modernized hotel it surprised me that they weren't using plastic entry cards for both the door and for controlling room lighting. Would not want to visit during a heat wave because there did not appear to be any air conditioning.

We would rate the hotel at 4 marks out of 5.
It was close enough to the city centre by tram or underground (S Bahn) 17 minutes & 10 minutes respectiveley. Tram stop 2 minute walk, train 5 minute walk (or tram to train).
Approx 20 / 25 minutes to Airport on S Bahn.
Hotel facilities and food excellent.

Room comfortable & well maintained, breakfast plenty of choice and well presented. Easy access via train from airport and excellent tram service, every 10 minutes to city centre. Very good value for money if you do not mind approx 20 minute tram ride to Central Station and Central shopping area. Hotel can provide one day travel tickets which are good value for 2 plus persons. Tickets can also be purchased at all tram stops (up to 3 day tickets, accepts credit cards). Easy access to different modes of travel covering all main tourist attractions.

The positives: The hotel was in a nice location with plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. It was within easy access to Tram, U train, and S train. The breakfast was well stocked with a variety of good quality food.
The not so nice: The hotel is located on a busy street with morning/evening commuting traffic. The windows did not block the sound and opening a window was definitely not an option. The curtains did not block out the lights from outside which was an issue for a light sleeper.
The incident: One night received 3 different phone calls into our room, an obvious wrong number, the last occurring at 23:00. Went to the front desk to see if they could block outside calls, they could not. The Front Desk help then came into the room looked at the phone then the connection on the wall. He said that there was nothing he could do. I explained that this was unacceptable. He took the phone out of the cradle, tossed it on the floor and said, 'there, no more phone calls\", and walked out of the room. Within seconds the phone started making noises. I took a look at the wall connection and noticed that it was actually a plug and removed it from the wall. The next morning I went back to the Front Desk to complain about the poor service. My response was a shrug and a \"oh, sorry about that\". This was not the way to keep guests happy. I would be hard press to give a recommendation for this hotel. We definitely will not be staying here again.

Hotel was very clean with nice accommodations. The breakfast, not included in the price of the stay, was excellent--a good variety and very tasty. Hotel was right next to the train or you could park your car in the garage for an extra charge. The staff was very helpful.
