$20 to park is too expensive and is a money grab. This should have been included in the price for a suburban hotel. The pool was a nice addition and our kids loved it. The front desk doesn’t answer the phone. We only received 1 towel for showering (the pool has separate towels). I called the front desk and couldn’t get through. Starbucks is nice but the staff is very slow. There were 4 people in line and it took about 25 minutes to get a black coffee at 7am.
People were loud in the hallways until about 1am. I’m not trying to confront people drinking in the hallways. Again, the front desk phone should be answered to resolve these types of things.

The room could have been cleaner (candy wrapper on the floor), one wash cloth and 3 towels and we booked the room for 2. Having to pay $20 for parking each day for a place you paid to stay is terrible

Shower was really nice - bathroom looked recently remodeled, water pressure was great, water warm. Did not stay for breakfast, but bought coffee from on site Starbucks stand. Staff was pleasant.

Very nice hotel, I liked that they had a bar, Starbucks, and snacks in the lobby. The room was nice, clean, comfortable bed. My only complaints are that that are very few channels on the TV and you can't connect to streaming services; additionally they charge you for everything, including parking and wifi.

We were on the first floor in a handicapped room that I did not request. Due to the accommodations, there was nowhere to put your items in the bathroom. The shower was large but hardly got hot water after running a few minutes. The worst part was the patio and door which was letting in frigid air. There was no weather stripping or door sweep/blocker. We rolled clothing up to stop the massive draft. I would have requested a room change if we weren’t there for just one night.

Room and hallway stunk. Room was bed plus 2 foot perimeter. One dresser drawer 6 inches from floor. Window didn’t open at all so only way to get air was to open patio door when outside temp was 25 degrees. Restaurant quinoa bowl was 1 tsp quinoa and rest kale. For $17.
I left after 1 night

Ok place but very surprised with this upscale location this facility hasn’t been updated. Rooms and lobby all scream mid 90s at best. If you’re looking for five stars this place needs an upgrade. So it’s a 4. Things like tv was on an angle and I couldn’t move it so it has been that way for awhile.
Agree the breakfast was good.

I reserved a king river side room and was put in a queen room, nothing was said about it upon check in or check out by the staff. When going to the pool there was a cockroach running around in the pool room as well. The included complementary breakfast as specified upon booking was false advertised as we did not recieve that either. Will never stay here again.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, but here are a few of them:
1. It is located within a half mile (straight shot) off the interstate (I95 and rt28.)
2. Tons of parking (daily rate $20)
3. The hotel neighborhood is lovely and easily walkable.
4. The T station (Riverside station) is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute car ride. This station also has ample parking. Or you can Uner for about $10.
5. Hotel restaurant is spacious and serves excellent food and drink
6. The rooms are updated and very clean.
We already booked our next stay before we even checked out.

Boston Marriott Newton is fantastic--easy to get into Cambridge/downtown Boston as well outer Metro areas. Pretty property. Housekeeping not as good as my previous stays at the same property. But I'll still return for the convenience, cool architecture, and friendly staff.

The room was dirty, had insects, stains on walls/furniture, hairs all over the place, smelled badly, the ceiling is coming down/peeling off in some places, the sheets are ripped, the table is literally taped back together, and there was an extremely loud buzzing noise happening periodically throughout the night coming from the AC/front door area. On top of that you have to pay $20 a day for parking. This is like a motel not a 4 star Marriott.

We were in Boston to celebrate my son’s induction into the Hall of Fame. The room was a good size with a small balcony….nice for enjoying your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The staff was welcoming and it was easy check in and checkout.

I had a terrific stay here and Jimmy. I hope that’s his name he was the bell captain was made all the difference in my stay! He noticed I used to walk her and he told the room clerk when I was checking in that I should have a room that was closer to the lobby not only did he do that, but he helped me return my Hertz rental car! He was above and beyond and gave me The assure uncomfort that I had hoped for! Thank you very very much

The hours of operation for Starbucks, the restaurant and bar are not guest-friendly. There are several hours after lunch and before dinner when everything is closed and you cannot get ANYTHING.

First impression was that the grounds were well kept. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and cozy. Pool was clean and very quiet. Only a 6 minute drive to the nearest T station to head into the city. Was a great stay. Will be back!

The hotel went into my room and began to clean it…but the privacy card was on the door and I had not checked out. Housekeeping removed the pillows from the bed and started stripping the beds. Then they stopped. When i returned to the room, it was obviously not as I left it. In addition to that icky feeling of having someone messing with your beds, the beds were not made up for sleep. The front desk failed to get me clean pillow cases and sheets that night. They have also failed at any attempt to make it right. Marriott used to be about having a good customer experience. They just are not worth the money. Good luck if you stay at this hotel. I won’t be spending any more money with Marriott.

We've stayed at this property multiple times - all pleasant experiences. The staff and services were wonderful as usual. This stay we did pay extra for a balcolny; however, we were in a room on the lower level positioned directly over the hvac system and roof top/gutter system of the outdoor tent. While we had a balcolny, we certainly did not have a view of any kind and almost preferred to not sit outside because we were starring at a giant white roof of the tent and dirty hvac system. In my opinion, this room should not have an extra charge for the balcony space.

Secure (gated), easy parking ($20 extra), extremely convenient location, nice staff, room felt smallish with two queen beds, no \"free\" coffee in the morning (I think this is an unfortunate trend for Marriott) with barista guarding what is offered gratis at Hilton, et al. $4.00 12 oz coffees no refills. Regardless, I recommend this property with 5 stars. But please give me free coffee!

Don’t bother if you want a room with a fridge

I was first placed on the 2nd floor and the room smelled musty, had a mini fridge that was set for 44 degrees. When I called the front desk, stating that 44 degrees was in the danger zone for food and I’m a breastfeeding mom who needs to put pumped milk in the fridge - I was informed they were beverage coolers and not meant for food. I confirmed that the website and hotels.com listing states refrigerators and not beverage coolers. As soon as I put my room temp breastmilk in the fridge - the temp rose to over 50. I had to go buy a cooler for my breastmilk. I got back to the hotel and the room was 77 and wouldn’t cool down. They moved me to another room on the 3rd floor. That one didn’t smell and the A/C worked, but I didn’t trust the refrigerator.

Enjoyed the pool, and the room was quite comfortable apart from the stain on one of our beds. Had issues with the keys not working.
