I liked the hotel and the facilities it had and I would probably stay here again but it was quite far away from the beach. There was no direct transport to the beach from the hotel and on a couple of occasions I didn’t want my room cleaned or to be disturbed, but they still came in. Without my permission.

I had a lovely stay. Its just slightly further from the city but I had a metro pass so was super easy to navigate. Two metro stops close by. But the sights are super walkable also - I just preferred the metro after a long day. I enjoyed my stay and the staff were super nice.

Stayed for 2 nights. Able to check in slightly earlier which made life easier for us after a very early flight from the UK. Very comfortable double room, just a shame that it was 2 single beds pushed together and not a king size bed. Roof terrace was quite messy when we went up there around 2pm and the rooftop bar was closed so no one to ask for towels etc.
Well located for metro, Westfield and local coffee shops.

We booked a comfort room and were initially very pleased with its spaciousness and being on the top floor. However, when we returned from dinner, it was clear the A/C was not working properly; it was extremely hot and would not cool down. We spoke to the desk; they confirmed an issue and claimed they didn't have a single other comfort room available that night. They switched us to a much smaller and frankly very cramped standard room on a lower floor looking into an apartment block where at least the A/C worked. This was hugely disappointing. The next morning, they said they still didn't have any comfort rooms available but would refund us the price difference between the two room types. I asked for something additional like breakfast the next, final morning, and the manager (I think her name was Marlena) graciously agreed to that and was definitely apologetic.

With this exception, our stay was nice. I was surprised by the location of the hotel in a quiet, more modern residential/commercial/artsy district a bit north of central Barcelona. But I got used to it and liked the 20-minute walk to the beach. My husband thought it was unsafe (I think he equates graffiti with unsafe), but by that measure all of Barcelona is unsafe. I especially loved the rooftop terrace, bar, pool, and jacuzzi with amazing 360-degree views in all directions (though didn't like the 2-euro towel fee, which seemed unnecessary). Breakfast was great. I admire the hotel's sustainability initiatives.

Have stayed at ZT 4 times now Will keep returning in future. Modern rooms, great amenities such as rooftop pool / bar...and friendly welcoming service by hotel staff...Siri up at the rooftop bar, front desk staff including Franco, Emmanuela, Mina. Hotel is a little off the beaten path from touristy Barcelona, however only a 20 minute walking away, and also near beaches and shopping centre.

The customer service was truly disappointing. We had a difficult situation while traveling in a foreign country — we accidentally left our wallet with our passports in a hotel two hours away from Barcelona. We only realized it once we arrived at the ZT hotel.

One woman at the front desk was kind and tried to help by contacting the previous hotel. However, another employee questioned her (in Spanish), asking why she was helping us since it “wasn’t her problem.” It was extremely unprofessional.

They then asked if we had money to pay for our stay — completely ignoring the fact that we were just trying to check in, exhausted, with our 7-year-old daughter. I asked if we could check in using our passport cards (which are valid U.S. ID), but they refused.

In the end, we had to drive all the way back to the previous hotel to retrieve our passports and return just to check in. The customer service was unhelpful, insensitive, and honestly, unacceptable.

They don’t change towels and when we arrive, many haïr have been on the towels.
No add Small soap when it finish.
We need to go ask it at the reception anitymes.
You need to pay 2€ per towel for the pool.

We chose ZT The Golden Hotel because it was relatively close to the Barcelona Cruise Port. We were spending two nights there before joining a cruise. The traffic from the airport to the hotel was crazy and took about 45 minutes, to an hour and cost about 40€. The taxi driver said it was always like that based upon the only route that could be taken. It was, however, an easy and quick ride to the cruise port.

The hotel was beautifully maintained and the pool/hot tub/bar area was great, though there wasn't enough shade.

I did not opt for the breakfast, but my friends said it was wonderful. The hotel was in the tech neighborhood of Barcelona and had lots of great restaurants within walking distance, as well as close by bus and subway stops.

The staff at both the reception and the restaurant were friendly. However, the cleaning staff did not respect the \"do not disturb\" sign and entered the room multiple times while I was away. The restaurant offers some vegan-friendly options, but I’d love to see a greater variety available.

Updated to better room included the spa package which was at the other ZT hotel four blocks away. Nice experience but hot tub was cold and massage was not explained that it was at an extra cost. Lady at reception though was excellent.

The property is relatively clean, but I expected more from a 4-star hotel. The location is not far from transport links so that's a plus—useful amenities in the hotel, like a swimming pool, etc.

The room cleaning service needs improvement. The Staff are rude and unhelpful. We were not provided replacement towels and had to prove to the staff that it was so before they would give us another towel with a lot of hesitation. On arrival, we received a free drinks voucher, which we left in the room, but on return, we found those were gone.

The hotel also isn't suitable for people with kids or toddlers. We needed milk in the evening for our little one, but the staff at the restaurant wouldn't give it, even if I were willing to pay for it.

Overall, I would rate the property as good for travellers without kids making a short stay.

The hotel is overrated, I don’t think it deserve to be a 4stars hotel, no amenities in the toilet until been asked , the size of the rooms it’s very small & they said all of the rooms are the same , the smell in the toilet like sanitary odor, the distance till the nearest metro needs 10 minutes walk it’s not pleasant especially in the summer time in the month of August in Barcelona. The staff are very friendly & helpful

The kids loved the pool, which was a great plus for the price of the place, however we had to cab to almost every meal and place of interest. That was an added cost we did not anticipate since many reviews mentioned how central and convenient the location was for them. We were near a bunch of car washes. Good coffee 4 blocks away walking thru, a lot of things that were not the greatest.

Room & facilities were clean and modern. My only complaint was check in/check out with front desk. I arrived early from the airport and was told no rooms available which was fine. I returned at 3:45 to a new host who told me bluntly check in is at 4. So after I had to sarcastically ask if they can ask management he obliged. Check out is at a nice time (12p) but with a later flight I called reception if late check out was an option. I got a flat ‘no, we’re fully booked’. I asked what if even 30 minutes or if I pay, and was still told no, you have to be out by 12. All this is by their rules for check in/out obviously but I’ve never seen a hotel so unwilling to make exceptions and/or charge for the convenience. As nice as rooms were, I’m not sure I’d stay again due to this alone.

Fabulous hotel in the ❤️ of Barcelona

Fabulous hotel and will definitely recommend to friends and family. The rooftop pool is an added bonus to chill out before catching the flight back home. It certainly is a walking distance to most tourist spots if you have stronger legs. Breakfast is amazing. Bed is so comfortable you just want to stay in bed all day.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very attentive. It was in an area that was quiet and away from the busy part of Barcelona, but within walking distance to some of the popular tourist areas. The rooftop area was very nice but being no rooftop bar open didn’t want to make you stay long up there as needed a drink or snack had to go out of the hotel. But would definitely recommend if this was open as would have made it an excellent hotel.

The staff were really nice, we arrived at the hotel early and the check in was not until 4pm, so the staff were very accommodating and gave us a room due to our sleepless night during traveling.

also another staff member was very helpful and gave us all the tips for where to go and other stuff that was happening during that week, didn't get his name but he was really great helper and polite.

The room was very clean and the AC was amazing, not comparable to other hotels we went to in the area.

Nice reception and pool area . The outside area around the hotel is a little rundown but appears to be undergoing some renovations so maybe in time it will improve . Our room was clean although a little cramped with limited storage for the 3 of us and the sofa bed exterior was grubby . Linen etc immaculate though

This was our favorite place to stay on our trip to Barcelona. Its not super in the mix of tourism, which we appreciated. An easy walk to the ocean, though! Good amount of markets and cafe's nearby. Our room here felt like a mini home away from home. The staff was super friendly, breakfast buffet was delicious, and the rooftop pool and bar were a great way to unwind. If we come back to visit Barcelona we would likely stay here before any other hotel we booked, and we enjoyed all of our other stays.

The hotel is pristine and boasts beautiful decor. The staff were brilliant although the pool bar is often left unattended for long periods of time leaving guests confused and frustrated when wanting food and drinks.

ZT Golden Excels

I am very pleased with the ZT Golden Hotel. The staff was very professional and helpful. The room was serviced daily, everything worked and the WIFI was reliably high speed. The ZT is very, very eco-friendly. With this still being Covid times, I did not eat in their restaurants (I'm still doing takeout) so I can't comment on that aspect. There is a roof-top terrace with a wonderful view of the city. The ZT is less than a 10 minute walk from the Glories metro stop and the Glories shopping center. It was about 50 minutes (1 change) on the metro from the airport. The ZT neighborhood is not at all touristy - it is business and light industrial. So you will need to venture out for touristy things. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach which has long stretches of beachside paths. It is about a 20 minute walk to the more touristy parts of Barcelona. I found that walking this part of Barcelona is as fast as navigating the metro (which is excellent). There is a huge amount of construction in this part of Barcelona. This did not hamper the visit, but it is impressive how many new buildings are going up.
