I was thoroughly impressed by the immaculate clean room, extremely friendly staff and the quietness of the room plus the ability to make the room dark! If I am back in Vancouver I will definitely be back! Concierge was super friendly from the minute I walked in and the desk staff were both friendly and accommodating! I joined the rewards program too!

Most staff were excellent except one on departure day I asked for one hour extension and he refused claiming I was late in asking. Parking is not good in the next door lot. There are warnings about car break ins. Room was nice but had very limited movement around the beds and furniture. Breakfast was terrible. We also stayed at Sandman’s and it was much nicer with parking at the bottom.

Upon our stay, the hotel felt more like a party hostel than a legitimate hotel for the amount you are paying. When arriving, the hotel was completely decked out in FIFA decorations (super tacky) everywhere in the hallways, mirrors and felt more like a party zone than an adult hotel. We literally felt like we were walking into a college residence. There was a man sleeping with his shoes off in the main lobby area which we found pretty gross and not sure why the front desk staff would allow that.

Besides the interior being decorated like a dorm room residence, our room window was covered by a translucent film so we didn't actually see outside. You can hear everything above and below you. We woke up to an argument between people underneath us because the walls and floors are paper thin. The room was decently clean but the overall experience was strange and not at all what was advertised. If you are mature adults with interests in more tasteful urban experiences, find somewhere else to stay because this was weird.

The location in Vancouver was fantastic right on Granville Street, which is kind of Like Bourbon St., New Orleans. The one drawback was the elevator. There was only one and it was very small so you did a lot of waiting around checkout times because people were moving bags down. it would've been nice to have a microwave in the room which there wasn't so we couldn't take any leftovers back to our room to reheat. The bathroom was relatively small with countertop space the shower was fantastic and plenty of hot water. They service the rooms quickly overall, it was a great experience. I would recommend the hotel.

The hotel is not bad if you want to be in the center of everything but I would not consider this a child friendly place nor a place I would recommend staying if you're not used to loud, inner city noise or scare easily by inner city elements. I grew up across the street from the projects in Boston so it really didn't phase me but my wife was scared walking back to the hotel in the evening through all the homeless people and couldn't sleep at night because of sirens and horns blaring till 2:00am. There is a moderately rambunctious Irish bar on the 1st floor which is fun for the right people but when traveling with an 8 year old it wasn't optimal.

Room was smaller than I thought would be. They charged for more than 2 guests - which I didn’t realize hotels even did anymore. Their in house gym was under maintenance so they outsourced a local gym but still charged for us daily if we wanted to use that. All of this would’ve been fine if this hotel wasn’t rated as four stars.
They have a water station which was nice. Elevator was slow and small.

Not quite as luxury as the photos make it look, but still a nice hotel. I booked a superior room and was disappointed that the room wasn't very big and only had one small window over one side of the room so it felt dark, especially as half the ceiling is painted dark blue. The shower was lovely, but again the bathroom is dark due to poor lighting and being completely painted dark blue (ceiling as well). The breakfast was basic and served in the Irish pub next door. My first morning there was an Irish sports match on so the lights were dimmed so they could see the projector (not helpful for trying to see food) and it was very noisy which people drinking alcohol at 9am. Not my idea of a nice hotel breakfast. Overall, a good quality hotel that is well maintained, very friendly staff, but I wouldn't return.

The property is located next to a bar, so if sleep is important to you then stay somewhere else. Even on quieter weekdays we could hear the loud horns of trucks and homeless in the alleyway. Also, the pictures on Expedia were nothing at all like the hotel. The staff was great and property clean.

Unser Zimmer war modern, komfortabel und groß. Wir hatten ein Zimmer nicht an der Granville Steet, deshalb war es sehr ruhig. Im Erdgeschoss ist ein Pub, da ist es bis 3 Uhr früh laut. Aber mit unserem Zimmer kein Problem. Frühstück gibt's im Pub. Man wird satt, aber es ist nicht abwechslungsreich oder viel Auswahl.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. Our room was well decorated and maintained. The A/C was very refreshing, but we found the settings couldn't be changed, so it was either on medium (and quite cold!) or off completely. On the auto setting it was very loud and cut in and out.
Staff at the hotel were lovely and welcoming.
Location was good for downtown access - we walked to most of the sights (Stanley Park, Granville Island, Gastown) but we do like walking. For some people it might be too far. The area is a little bit sketchy due to being Downtown, which is worth considering if you're sensitive to that, but we had no issues.
The breakfast was sadly disappointing. It was served in the attached Irish bar and the food was quite basic, but nice enough. However, despite advertising it was available until 10:30am, one morning we arrived just after 10am to find all breakfast items had been removed to accomodate the Champions League final. This was disappointing and meant, despite paying for the breakfast within our room rate, we had to buy breakfast elsewhere. Generally a nice hotel and a pleasant stay.

I think I have a new favorite hotel in Vancouver. It may not be for everyone, but if you are looking for an eclectic,, unique hotel, this is it. The staff were very friendly and helped us with our mountain of luggage with a smile (we were coming off a cruise). They made sure we had everything we needed and even checked up on us to be sure we were happy. The room had fun decorations and was large and quiet, with a nice view. The hotel itself is centrally located downtown with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The attached Irish pub was friendly and lively, but you couldn't hear the noise in the rooms. No complaints at all, and I'd definitely stay again.

We loved the Belmont in Vancouver. It's an old building, done up with style and wit. The rooms are a good size and the establishment is clean. Staff are professional and very friendly and accommodating. Double glazing means that you're protected from the CBD noise. The hotel is a pleasure to be. It's in a good location and combines the attributes of contemporary, chic accommodation with the vibe of the old fashioned corner pub – the bar is on the corner. The only downside for us was the breakfast. It lets the establishment down. It's served as a buffet in the original pub bar, but it offers a very small range and is jammed into a corner of the bar that generates blockages in people movement. For example, if a guest is loading food from one station in the buffet, then other guests are locked out of accessing the buffet either side of them. The buffet needs more room, more space, and it needs greater diversity in its offerings. Offerings now are very narrow and you feel they are going through the motions rather than matching the quality of the rest of the hotel. Compounding the problem, there was only one staff member running the breakfast, and she was running around trying to keep up with clearing tables and replenishing food stations. It was well nigh impossible for her to do both properly, despite how hard she worked. It was too much for one person. Surely this can be fixed.

The hotel is well-located in downtown and was relatively cheap given alternatives. The bar pictured in the profile doesn’t seem to exist anymore and has become an Irish pub, which is very loud on Fridays and Saturdays. Avoid the first floor rooms as a result as you’ll be hearing very bad karaoke all night.

Everything was grate , price was reasonable, staff were very nice , dog friendly is bonus. Nice Dog park was near by was very nice . Room was clean , I love that decor in the room .breakfast selection was very nice . At the front there were completely soft drink or water plus dog treats also one roll of poo bag . It was very pleasant.
I am giving 4 star because the location . It is sketch area , public parking beside the hotel cost 50$ for 24 hours and worrying brake in.we didn’t get a brake in but sketchy people were looking through parked vehicles. The hotel had a parking area near , but again it’s a sketchy area , for that reason I don’t think I will stay this place again. If there is safe parking spot I will be definitely stay again .

When we arrived with our 4 pieces of luggage (we were at the end of a long trip), we were dismayed to see the steep steps into the lobby. Our worries were put to rest when the staff immediately stepped in to get our luggage up the stairs. They also quickly stowed our bags in a secure room (we were there several hours before check in), and took our number to text us when our room was available. A very smooth process!

Everything was spotless (-: outside neighbourhood at night could get loud from the pubs and bars across the neighbourhoods, but you can barely hear them from the 5th floor. Heavy foot traffic outside expected during peak hours. Complementary breakfast vouchers were a plus! I read a couple reviews online regarding the vagrant & homeless people outdoors, but you can’t really do anything about that—it is far beyond the hotel’s control. Just be mindful and keep your business to yourself.

A bit of noise from outside, but it was expected considering this is in the heart of downtown. They provide Skoah brand toiletries in the room which I absolutely loved and they smelt amazing. I definitely would stay at this hotel again.

I loved everything about Hotel Belmont. The room was so clean, the breakfast was SUPER GOOD and the staff were all so helpful and so nice.

The breakfast is a really good buffet style setup in the pub attached to the hotel.

The room was just what we needed and you can cast videos from your phone to the tv if you want to watch something that way.

The location is close to lots of stuff, a short walk to the waterfront and shopping and restaurants.

I’d definitely happily stay here again!

- Soundproof: ZERO: feels like everyone are staying together. You can hear every movement and every conversation.
- there are lots of homeless people on drugs around the area..
- AC: if is so loud you cant have it on for more than few minutes. You can even know if another room has it on as you can hear it loud and clear
- Breakfast: it has to be the worse ever! There is no variety, and they even messed up with what they offer. Fruits literally smell like eggs
- Fun fact: whoever installed the sinks hasnt tried them. They are too far and the water will spill everywhere

There was a glitch in my booking, which reverted the date to that night, April 20th made at 10pm PT, instead of September 20th but both this hotel and Expedia seem unable to provide a credit. Just a \"so sorry, we understand your frustration\" and the runaround about getting approvals. Must be nice not to have any skin in the game.

The walls are very thin and you could hear not only the outside late night noise but also both the rooms next to us. If you’re looking to sleep, this is not the hotel for you.

The good: Perfect location can't possibly be more central, really great staff, comfortable beds and decent bathrooms. Others mentioned noise I did not notice it but I sleep with white noise on my phone. The not so good: the breakfast offering for the money is not worth it, the bar itself is fine but food ain't great. I could not find an ice machine which was weird, no vending machine. The deal breaker for some: these rooms are small! Like even the Y has bigger rooms. Bottom line the price was right and my stay was without an issue. One thing I loved about this place is they will text you and ask you if you need anything. I like that I have a text message away to ask a question or even ask for a later checkout. Every hotel should make you feel like you have a personal consiaege.

I’m giving Hotel Belmont 5 stars because the hotel itself was lovely and the check in staff was very attentive. The room was clean, comfortable and thoughtful. That all said, here are a few tips that will insure a 5 star stay.
Tip #1: don’t arrive on a Saturday night at midnight, like I did with my 14 year old son. And if you do, (Tip #2) make sure to tell your Uber to drop you off right in front of the hotel door on Nelson street. Not around the corner on Granville. Otherwise you’ll be dodging the drunk, sketchy night life.
Tip #3: Close your bathroom door tightly. The bathroom windows are not soundproof, but the bedroom windows and bathroom door are (or mostly).
Tip #4 - Always take a street parallel to Granville whenever walking home. We liked Richards (through Yaletown) or Hornby when on the North side. Granville is a sketchy walk any time of day.
Tip #5: When you leave the hotel always take a right toward Yaletown. Nero Belgian Waffle, “Never a bad day” diner, Nesters Market all are amazing. Or Burger Crush (on Nelson past Granville)
Overall the location was quite ideal if you walk the right way. Yaletown felt very safe. The Pacific Center mall (underground), Robson, the Hornby St Aquabus Ferry – all w/in a short walk.
I liked the boutique, funky hotel vibe. You are paying for the central location. I wish they had free water rather than charging extra for the little cartons in the room, but Nestors on the corner was the perfect alternative.

Travelling for work in April 2026 and had a great experience. Convenient location in Vancouver that is walkable to many sights and amenities. Attentive staff and well appoints rooms with double windows that blocked city noise VERY well. Would recommend as a place to stay in Vancouver.
