Staff were helpful and hotel was in a perfect location. Room was a great size. However many things seemed like better maintenance would be helpful. 2/4 elevators were broken, water pressure in shower was not great, toilet had troubles flushing, thermostat on wall was not working. Overall a positive experience though.

The room was clean and spacious with beautiful views of downtown Vancouver. The kitchen in my room came stocked with supplies for cooking. I felt like I was staying in my own apartment rather than a hotel because of how comfortable I was. Loved my experience.

The only complaint I have is that the bathroom sink took a very long time to drain. I would have to turn the water off to wait for it to drain before I could continue using it as it would start to back up quickly.

A lovely hotel and terrific, helpful staff. I had a corner room that included a kitchen area and sitting area. All of that was great. However I marked the total score down due to the sound proofing (important when hospital is next door), which was sub-optimal and also the shower that was hard to control and a bit weak.

Location was very good, each and every one of the stuff at the hotel was amazing. The receptionist at the front desk who checked us in, the maintenance man working on our AC, the cleaning stuff in the hotel, the lady attending to our room -2808 and each and every worker at the hotel.
I gave a negative review only for the management that in my opinion are doing a poor job and are not really capable to running the hotel properly.
We were checked in to room 2903, unpack, organized the room and bathroom to our liking and then realized that the AC drain is clogged, the unit was leaking and didn’t cool. Another trip downstairs with the AC technician to explain the issue. The lady attending the reception imminently moved us to 2808 and told us that the room will be ready in 20 minutes. Once again, waiting to the elevator 15 minutes to go up, pack and then come back down, surrounded the old keys and pick up the new keys for the replacement room. Again half an hour wasted time with the elevators that two of them were out of order while the other two had no floor display working, broken floor tiles and usually traveling together with the cleaning, maintenance and laundry crew!!! Finally, we were situated in our room which was great. During the up and down trips, we met many of the hotel staff who were wonderful. The next morning we met Bella, our room attendant who was so so sweet and nice and made our stay on her floor a wonderful experience.

- No hot water when showering at night and have to let the water run for a significant amount of time to get hot water during the day leading to a concerning amount of wasted water if this issue affects all rooms

The hotel's location is great. Rooms are very big. Huge flat TV, with a large number of TV Channels. The problems for us were: 2 out of 4 elevators nor working. Our bathroom keep backing up even if we didnt use it. The TV turn on when we used the HAVC control (very weird). The bedroom sheets felt like plastic. We stayed for 3 nights, so not that bad, however too many issues for one stay.

The beds are so hard you would be better off sleeping on the floor. I had to have a cot brought in which was an improvement but still not good. Unless you like Extremely Hard Bed for sleeping, Avoid this hotel. Might be good for some but my back was just killing me after the first night.

Place was very nice and a good deal for the price. Staff was helpful and very kind. Gym was old, but very usable - it's located in the basement of the building but staff did rounds while I was in there so it felt safe. Came for work was very pleased.

Great location for downtown, good restaurants around the area and ease of getting to. Polite staff & spacious rooms

Negatives:
Found 1 centipedes in 2 different rooms. Was offered to relocate from first room which was nice but then I found another centipede. When I spoke to the manager (different one then the first time), he said because I prepaid for my reservation, he couldn’t do anything.

Easy check in, room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Great location with easy access to down town waterfront. Right beside the current St. Paul’s hospital. Coffee shop within hotel opens at 7 am. Starbucks to your right then across st with very short walk if need something before that. Restaurant on site. Did not eat there as visiting family but bar staff were excellent.
Special shout out to the young Door man who was there April 30th, May first day shift. He was excellent and deserves a raise. Greeted us every time we came and went and was lovely.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I commend the Canadian people in general, they were all friendly and went above and out of their way to assist visitors. At least everyone we came across and we visited a lot of places and talked to a lot of people.

Enjoyed the easy access to the nearby Metro and the very helpful assistance the concierge \"Jonathan\" suggested to enjoy our stay. I apologize in advance if I got his name incorrect. He was great.

Took a beautiful scenic drive to Whistler and had lunch. Also did the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Vancouver is an easy and quick escape from Los Angeles. Scenic and relaxing.

Would definitely return.

Our stay was good! Breakfast options were tasty and they accommodated our gf requests. The room had a kitchen what made things easier for us. Every time we needed something from housekeeping, it was provided promptly. The location is excellent so we had no complaints.

Overall the place was pleasant. The beds are on the firm side but the rooms are ok. This hotel is right next to a hospital with an ER so you won’t get any peace during the day until around midnight as sirens will go off constantly. The hotel is 30 floors high and only has 4 lifts, and I believe possibly only 2 working as we had to constantly queue for the lift to get down or backup to our room. Often a lift arriving and full so having to wait again. It was also very warm in the room with limited AC which didn’t seem to do much during the day so we’d come back to a hot stuff room
I wouldn’t go back as I’m sure there are better options

You can tell this is a slightly older hotel, but it is very clean and has everything you need. Our room was huge, and we loved having a kitchen and living room. Location is fantastic, right in the heart of downtown Vancouver, lots of cafes, shops, and restaurants nearby. You could easily walk most places in downtown! Bus stops right outside as well.

Staff were incredible, from front desk to the cleaning staff, everyone was so friendly! Overall phenomenal stay would definitely stay here again if I come back to visit.

Half of the elevators were not working during my stay. The housekeeper for my floor came into my room at 830am to clean while I was still in bed, I asked her to come back she said no. I will say the gym is great for a hotel gym and I appreciate it’s 24 hours. Location is very central.

Fantastic location and wonderful staff! Overall we had a good stay at the Century Plaza hotel.

The hotel room was a little older but clean. It had a kitchen, sink, oven, and full fridge.

No desk in room.

Giant tv and it had all the apps if you want to log into your account. Just remember to log out of your account because it looks like it does not reset. “Dan’s” Netflix account (previous guest) was still logged in. Don’t worry we logged him out.

Fridge had some old spills in it that was not cleaned from previous guests. Cupboards and fridge are were a little older. But clean.

Bathroom - Personally, I have a thing about bathrooms and the bathroom was a little older, a little in need of repair, and a little gross for me personally - compared to MY PERSONAL bathroom hotel standards.
It was a clean bathroom …. just a little old, had some rust and mildew. I just don’t look too closely and I am ok.

Pool area was in the basement, not heated, and no hot tub. The showers in the pool area had mildew and mold. But was well stocked with shower need and towels were clean. Kids enjoyed the pool a lot.

I did not use the gym this visit but it looked great. Again it was in the basement.

I have platinum EXPEDIA status but was not offered an upgrade at all.

Parking is great. - if you have a car.

A good hotel, and perfect location. I did not mind it because the main purpose was just to sleep in it. We were always out and about during the day.

I would stay here again. :)

This is a clean, affordable and central place to stay in downtown Vancouver. The staff are great. The rooms are large - though a bit dated. The restaurant and coffee shop are handy. It can be noisy (traffic, sirens) due to its location and the single pane windows (try to get a room at the back of the building). There are a pool and exercise room but both are in a dingy basement area.

The only sad part of my stay was the ambulance and police cars sounds which was very annoying and bearable even from the top floors and consistently al day. Except that everything was perfect and very nice and helpful staff in the hotel.

Minor age issues in room - broken dresser drawers, windows old and very hard to open. Pool and gym in basement are kind of creepy and secluded. Good stay over all and convenient to the location I needed.

The rooms are a bit dated, but the lobby has been refreshed. The staff were really great. Always pleasant and smiling and saying \"have a good day\" in the elevator. The pool area was a no for us so we didn't end up swimming. I love that they offer you the opportunity to say no to a room refresh and they incentivize you with a $10 coffee gift card, which you can just donate instead and they match. Beds were comfy and the sheets were crisp. You do hear a lot of ambulance noise being next to the hospital, but it didn't bother us at night. The location is fantastic! So much, so close by. We would stay here again.

The property location was great. Staff were friendly. WiFi was not working, the elevators were slow and out of four, only two worked and staff said the two hadn’t been repaired in some time. My porch was more like a small narrow landing out of metal and concrete and pigeon poop. It was a beautiful view and I loved my room but the deck landing was a bit sketchy.

The hotel front desk is not straight forward with information. They are misleading with information about service. Ask questions please. Don’t let what the front desk officer tell you is enough information for you. Please ask questions. The only good thing I enjoy was their kitchen. The workers there are very nice and professional.

There are events here so the elevators are busy peak times. Big city vibe outside the hotel including homeless.

Staff were very nice. I had a $25 food credit which I had to ask for- they didn’t provide it up front so remember to ask because they won’t offer. The pool was in the basement, a little cold and tiny. Room had some dust and I found a black hair on the towel. Rooms were huge and beautiful view. The elevators were terrible. I was in the basement and waited 25 min (not exaggerating) to go up. Good location. Expensive parking at $30 a night. Hotel needs updating, carpeted hallways were not very appealing. Otherwise no other issues. Comfy beds and clean crisp sheets.

Parking is $40/full day, elevator button on the 19th floor doesnt light up to indicate youve pressed it, so you could be standing there for quite some time and realize you gotta just keep pressing the button until the elevator arrives. Provided me with an umbrella that was broken, but informed me in the beginning that if it gets lost it will charge $30.

Love the concept of being more green and donating to the autism cause! Has a full kitchen! Microwave worked really well, and dishes and cups were clean.

I thought the room was large, it was noisey there’s a hospital nearby and at times I could hear the sirens. They had a note that you could hang on your door if you wanted them not to clean. I put it on my door both nights. First night they didn’t clean. Second night they did. Which I didn’t ask for and was a bit upset by that. Staff was friendly. Beside that no complaints.

Good location, within walking distance to most points of interest. Rooms are spacious, and clean. Unfortunately, you hear a lot of noise from the hallway in the room. Very nice view from the upper floors. Good water pressure, elevators are a bit slow and 3 of 4 were working. Staff are friendly professional and very helpful. Onsite restaurant and coffee shop, otherwise many restaurants are within walking distance.

The breakfast was wonderful! Staff were friendly. The room was huge. Not all the elevators were in service so there was sometimes a wait. And its location means you will hear sirens all night long, but even though I am a light sleeper I wasn’t woken up by them on the 18th floor. I loved the daily $10 credit at the coffee shop for skipping cleaning.
