... centrally located ; you can walk anywhere from here in downtown with ease. Only one block from the metro transit line at City Centre, 2 blocks from the Vancouver Art Gallery, only a few blocks from Gastown and the waterfront. I recommend this location if you are looking for a classic out of the way hotel in the downtown area. I've been a few times and it has always maintained quality and service to a high standard

We stayed at Room 207. Overall, the room is good but you can't relax or sleep properly, because while sleeping you're suddenly awaken every time due to a sound of water that flows through a drain pipe from the walls or ceiling. Looks like no sound proofing because you can also heard the people talking outside or nearby rooms.
Thanks for the provided coffee and tea but much better if there's also some fruits, cookies or something that you can pairs with the coffee/tea similar to other hotels.

On the positive the location is fantastic! Two blocks to the Canada line and two blocks to the Expo line. Multiple restaurant and shopping choices are a quick walk away; it's perfect for those that prefer not to have a vehicle! The property is dated, but it's kept very clean and has modern washroom facilities.
The negatives are, the building has paper thin walls, you can hear conversations word for word and the street noise and Hvac noise from the surrounding buildings is loud. Bring earplugs!!
My bed was saggy, the carpet in the room could use a new carpet and the room temperature was either too hot or too cold.
However, if you're looking for inexpensive accommodation downtown that's close to everything, this is the place.

Really nice stay, in the heart of everything close to Vancouver City Centre Sky Train. Paid for a little upgrade on arrival to get a private bath.

My room 324 small but clean and very cosy with a nice bathroom with a bathtub. Much needed after a day on the slopes of Cypress Mountain. Bonus coffee and tea served complimentary in the morning 7 till 10 I think

Staff was nice and room was clean. The parking garage was not connected to the hotel no direct elevator, so a bit of a walk with luggage. The sauna was out of order, as well as the TV. No fridge or clothes iron. There was a working ice machine. If a quiet bed to sleep is your only requirement then this is the hotel for you.

This affordable hotel is super conveniently located downtown. I had some apprehensions about the 'shared bathrooms' but took the chance and was glad I did.
The men's room on the 3rd floor had a shower and two toilets and I never had to wait for it to free up. There is also a separate unisex bathroom on the floor as well.
The rooms have a sink and mirror so not everything needs to be done in the common bathroom. Just be sure to bring your towel with you to the shower.

The hotel is very well located—close to venues, main streets, and both bus and metro stations. Our room had everything we needed for a one-night stay. The property has quiet spaces and a charming vintage style. The front desk staff were very attentive and kind. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind for our next visit to Vancouver.

I think the hotel is very fair for the price. I was on a room with shared bathroom but it was literally across the hallway and always clean. There are enough bathrooms per floor to not feel that you are sharing. They provide you with clean towels, shampoo, soap, body lotion and shower caps in your room. You have free coffee and tea in the morning. Great for a solo work trip. The location is ideal.

Having a room is probably better and safer than the hostels, but do not book here expecting to be impressed.

A hidden gem in the heart of the city. Easy walk within minutes of stadium and arena. 2 blocks from airport train. I booked a single room which required me to select 1 room, 1 traveler not the default 1 room, 2 travelers. Shared bathroom was not a problem--I never had to wait and other travelers had the good manners to help keep everything clean. I would stay here again!

Quiet and comfortable stay in downtown Vancouver

We spent three days at the Kingston and it was a great place to stay. Very quiet, close to most of the downtown so we could walk to most places and more reasonably priced then the newer hotels in the area. An older hotel but very clean and coffee in the morning included.
