The bathroom has shower draining problems. The maintenance crew must use a snake to get rid of debris in a bathtub. Water goes down extremely slow, shower head has extremely poor pressure. The unit doesn’t have a microwave. Also it doesn’t have a continental breakfast as it was advertised before.

The staff was very helpful. Check in was a breeze and we were able to get into our room early. Room was basic but clean. Hotel is in a great location, walkable to everything. Sink was small but there were shelves to store things. Highly recommend for a budget friendly stay!

This is a basic motel type property. It was convenient to downtown aNd walking distance to dining. We arrived from the airport early and were allowed to check-in early. This was very helpful after a long flight.
The room had tile flooring that needed a good mopping. The basics in bathroom were provided. The towels, although clean , were very small and rough textured. The temperature in the room was hard to regulate. Also, this is across from a hospital so sirens were frequent through the night.
Overall I would say it was not what I expected for the price we paid.

Very nice staff here which helped us a lot. The room is a little dated and the AC is so noisy we couldn’t have it on. It also vented out through the window, so a little old fashioned. But very clean and convenient, and again, the staff were very helpful.

Highly recommend to stay there and the price point was well under the other hotels in the area. If visiting Vancouver, this where I will stay. Extremely close to everything.

This is a unique, almost boutique hotel. It might not be to every ones taste, but I was pleasantly surprised by our overnight stay. It is an older hotel. A single queen room is quite small, but nice touches and very clean. Big screen TV, great coffee maker, water bottles in the fridge. Tub shower could use a safety bar. Friendly staff with a touch of humor. Great coffee shop with quality coffee and breakfast sandwiches. All maintenance looked professional and well finished. Fantastic garden in the interior courtyard. Secure parking. Will return.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Complimentary snacks and drinks late afternoon a nice touch. The AC mobile unit took up a lot of space. Nowhere to put a 2nd suitcase. Television protruded into the narrow end of bed walkspace resulting in a banged head. Perhaps need to build a ramp to accommodate people with mobility issues at the entrance. Raised cork tiles were a trip hazard. Beds very comfortable.

We had a great stay at the Burrard. The room was well appointed and comfortable. It was great to have complementary bottled water and Nespresso coffee daily. The nightly complementary crisps and non-alcoholic cocktails were a nice touch. The inner courtyard garden was lovely. The major plus was the completely bike hire - the hotel has a decent amount of good quality bikes which could be used for as long as we wanted; we used them to cycle to and around Stanley Park. The location of the hotel was also great, with public transport nearby and much of the city within walking distance. We'd definitely recommend for a stay in Vancouver.

2nd time staying at The Burrard and what can I say it was just as great as last time. I used to live in Vancouver so know the city very well, The Burrard is an ideal base for exploring the city as it is located downtown and close to everything you need such as shops, bars, restaurants and public transport. The staff are so friendly, can’t do enough for you and the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage, comfy beds, a fridge and coffee maker. Special mention to Elysian Coffee which is downstairs for all of your coffee and pastry needs.
Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Vancouver and I’ll definitely be back again next time I come over

Nice room, funny and unusual art work and comfortable bed. Love the courtyard with the fire pit and all the flowers and trees. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
It doesn’t hurt that there is a decent coffee shop right next door with an entrance in the lobby (Elysian Coffee). Plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs nearby as well as a movie theatre, a small grocery store and a hospital. If you don’t mind a bit of a walk, there’s a beach nearby (Sunset Beach and English Bay). Lots of shopping to be had too, if that’s your thing 😉
I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the ambiance and vibe of this place!! Cool retro. The courtyard was a wonderful bonus. Also the coffee shop next door served delicious baked goods and coffees. The location was good for plenty of dining options and it was a walkable area -although Vancouver’s “helpful” drug policy for the homeless has clearly gotten away from them! So sad.

Welcoming, helpful staff, constantly inquiring about our needs. The room was extremely clean with newish contemporary furnishings, great Mattress!!! Flawless Internet, unbeatable location( all a pleasant surprise - considering the Astroturf on the inner balcony to the rooms looked sort of suspect). Luscious mature courtyard garden was in full bloom - a little oasis in the middle of the city. If you’re a swimmer, the crystal clear 25 meter pool @ YMCA is excellent - and only five minutes from the front door of the hotel. Will be back.

Was a good location if you came from out of province and had appointments at St Paul’s. But St. Paul’s is moving to a new location soon. The courtyard is a nice place to hang out, they have free Canada wide long distance calling and when I was there they had free nonalcoholic drinks in the lobby in the evening. Staff were very friendly.

Unfortunately, there is only one very small elevator that could only really fit 2 people with luggage or 3 maybe 4 if they had no bags. The elevator was also painfully slow for only having 4 floors.

The fan in the bathroom didn’t work and also had no switch even though there was very clearly a vent for the fan and it hadn’t been cleaned in some time.

The beds were fairly comfortable so that was good. It was also fairly loud when and not super sound proof (noise outside in the hallway/balcony).

Perfect location for downtown Vancouver and reasonably priced for the area neighborhood is ok. Right at the edge of the more expensive properties. Hospital across the street so there are some homeless/ indigents but felt safe. Many local restaurants in the walking distance area.

We stayed at The Burrard for 3 nights and had a fantastic stay!
The rooms were very clean, quiet and well appointed.
A couple of things to note-
1) the AC is a portable unit, probably due to the remodel of the motel-but the bonus is that the windows all open
2) if you’re driving, accessing the property can be a bit tricky due to all the left hand only turns.

Overall I would happily stay here again, and for sure have coffee at the Elysian!
It’s a great remodel and the courtyard is super cozy and quiet for working or having your lunch out of the hustle and bustle of the city!

Awesome location downtown, the room was clean, it has hardwood floors which to us is really good (way cleaner than carpet could ever be) the staff was super friendly, parking was fully reserved that night, but they showed us the closest parking area, which was directly across the street. 2 minute walk. Lots of good dinner & breakfast locations around, I highly suggest Vancouver Brunch & Bonta Italian! Plus there is a coffee shop, Elysian. That has a door to the lobby, which made our morning caffeine stop a breeze. We will definitely come back in the future!

Great location, friendly stuff, close to everything, attractions, cruise port restaurants, and the room is pretty nice and clean, but the only two things that for me are for a little bit was the coffee machine which there was no way to replace the water from inside of the container and there was water in it already that I don’t know who put it in there or for how long was in there so I didn’t use the coffee machine because of that and the other thing was a paper sign on top of the bed, saying, even though for environmental reasons, but it didn’t make sense, cuz the sign said if you consider your sheets clean, leave the sign on top of the bed so they wouldn’t exchange the sheets for the next guests to saving on washing over and over! I just think no matter how clean they are, I think sheets always have to be exchanged for the next guests! But overall, I totally recommend the place because it’s affordable and does the work.

The hotel is fine, the area around it is not. We had horrible street noise all night, which made sleeping difficult. Do not allow them to put you in a room on the street side.

Also, this is a downtown area. Lots of homeless people and drug use.

The courtyard was very nice along with lovely gardens and a great place right next door to get a morning coffee and a breakfast sandwich.

It was clean and staff was great. They gave us really early check in. 2 weeks prior we stayed in a hotel a couple of blocks away for a little bit cheaper. The other hotel was significantly better. I feel the Burrard is overpriced for what you get. My number one complaint is that the curtains are 1/2 inch too short and light comes in all night. We could never figure out how to control the air conditioner temperature.
