We really enjoyed our 3-night stay: clean, spacious rooms and a lovely breakfast with plenty of options for Europeans 😉
Great pool for relaxing after a long day or a refreshing morning swim.
Close to the city centre, no direct MRT, but excellent bus connections make getting around easy.

i would definitely stay here again. Great hotel. I walked the area and found a couple of fantastic malls, about a 15 min walk away. Lots of food and stores. Plus the metro is below the mall too. Staff was extremely friendly and the hotel is very clean. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

The real difference between this property and any other in Singapore is the staff. They are sensational! From the bell boys at the front right up to the staff in the lounge we were always greeted with a warm welcome and they went out of their way every time to make us feel special. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Singapore.
A special mention for professionalism and their willingness to always help goes to Glenn, Sabrina, Anand and Zoe in the lounge and Suren and Dinesh for their great work at front of house. I have already booked my next stay here.

The service from all the staff was incredible and humbling. From management to cleaners, everyone made us feel at home and attended to our need which made our holiday special and memorable. The service afforded to us during our stay was always with a smile and nothing was a problem. Special mentions to Thava, Danial, Marcus and team @ Dinning, Sheryl, Filipino Mama and everyone that we came into contact with, a huge bouquet to you all. Thank you for your generosity and hospitality. The service provided by the staff for us was phenomenal which made the physical aspect of this review a distant second as personally my belief where ever i go, it is always about the people. Without people there is no soul in a place, there is no life. I can say with confidence that the staff are amazing different cultures working in harmony with each other. I encourage you to take a chance and book a stay @ Novotel on Stevens, you will regret it or disappointed. Thank you Novotel and keep up the great service.

There is nice gym and pool on the 2nd floor. We have utilised the pool late afternoon and wasn't too busy at the time. The hotel is centrally located and close to a bus stop, which took 15min into Orchard Road. Steven Station is not too far, 8-10min walk.

Rooms were terribly humid. I changed my room 2 times and both of them very very humud. Bed linens were almost wet due to humidness in the room. AC was barely working and I checked out earlier. Staff were not serius about the issue.

It is 1.4km to Orchard rd and has a free shuttle service there which is great. The downfall of staying here is there is no airport shuttle service and is a bit far from the touristic sites such as the Marina...Gardens by the bay ...arab street etc...
But overall a nice new hotel

*bed was clean
*nice Italian restaurant next to hotel

Cons:
* Stains are EVERYWHERE, furniture mostly damaged or REALLY old (possible to fall from chair because it is broken). Consider that provided pictures in the ad were taken much time ago or photoshop.
* soundproofing is very poor: if your windows face roads, earplugs will be your best friends otherwise hard to sleep. Also you can hear everything from other rooms lol
* there is some mold in shower and AC air smells like mold and dust
* coffee machine during breakfast looks like nobody clean it for ages. No jokes!
*people drop dirty dished just next to their door and hell smelly sometimes.
*service is very poor! It is related to everything from laundry to cleaning.
* location is actually quite far from center and

The hotel itself is great but interconnection to Mercure is confusing. With the weather walking to closest mrt station 16 mins can be a drag and the hotel shuttle bus is at an interval of 45 mins. That I would say is the only downside to the hotel.

I was disappointed in this property. Every hotel I go to soon as you arrive you receive help with your luggage and the bellboy takes it in the hotel for you. Soon as I arrived there was no staff to be seen, I was carrying my child who was asleep and had to leave all my luggage outside and go in the hotel reception looking for staff to help bring my bags in.

When checking in I was told if I register with Accor I can get free upgrades which was a lie as I got the room I booked and there was no 'upgrade'. My room was not clean everyday, just towels were changed and not all the old towels were collected. The water from the bidaai in toilet was leaking out soomuch water as well.

I booked half board and the main reason for this was because I have a child and this makes it easier. When I went to the hotel restaurant for dinner I was told half board is a la carte and not buffet. I was disappointed as there was no mention of this when booking and it should have been stated as children are picky and I thought it was buffet so I can choose from many options for my child. I chose an option on a la carte for my child which she did not end up eating, had it been buffet like I had initially thought it would be, I would have tried other things to feed her.

I also had no new shower cap replaced. My experience in this hotel was lower than expected and would not recommend for future bookings.

Design of the hotel is great and very comfortable. The gym is 24 hours with sufficient equipment to get in good workouts, and the pools are nice as well. Staff at the front desk are polite and helpful.

Don’t go to breakfast during peak hours; the tables are not kept clean and the food is not refilled quickly. The area isn’t too convenient for public transportation. Towels in the rooms were clearly old and fraying at the ends.

Everything is what I expect from an excellent hotel. Front desk staff made you feel very welcome. The corridor is wide and there is a bench at the lift lobby for you to sit on whilst waiting for your lift. Minor details are very thoughtful. This was my first stay at this hotel and it has surpassed all my expectations, in a nice way.

This was is a winner! Not usually a big fan of big brand names but this one fits the bill. Need some improvements on the front desk. Hit or miss on front desk staff but try to pick the ones who look like they have been doing it for a while versus the newbies who clearly are clueless on what they are doing. Other departments have wonderful staffing. Will stay again here. Rooms were fabulous!!

Novotel was really good. Interesting is sharing some areas with wall-2-wall Mercure hotel.
I was able to use both pools, whick I liked very much.
If stuff not available at one hotel simply ask another one (umbrella for instance)

The hotel was nice and in a good location. They offer a shuttle every 30 mins 8am-9:40pm from the hotel to a nearby Novotel which is walking distance to orchard Road. Service was average, we didn’t have much interaction with the staff. The only major let down was the house keeping. They often missed things, didn’t make the bed and one day left a dirty rubbish bag in the room after emptying the bin. We also had the soap taken and none left to replace it. Overall a pleasant stay but a few areas for improvement. There is lots of hotel info on the tv but we didn’t discover this straight away and weren’t told any info on check in.

Staff is very friendly and doing what they had to. Hotel is clean and there are hand sanitisers at the check in counter. They even prepared cake and decorated our room knowing that it is my anniversary with my bf. Technicians came down immediately as we called to ask if they could assist to fix hdmi in for us to play our switch. Special thanks to Lionel for providing us the travel adapter swiftly!! Hotel is also near to town, but would be quite troublesome to take bus down and back as shuttle bus service ends at 8pm.

- Check in process was slow, receptionist was not attentive and not helpful at all. Did not provide related information such as breakfast time and location, parking information and wifi connection.
- Minibar items and vanity counter amenities were not stocked.
- Stains on towels and yukatas.
- Room was not cleaned even the make up room signal was turned on since 8am and we informed the housekeeping attendant to clean up for us.
- Items requested not delivered on time.
- Room service food was not warm at all.
- Cutleries set at the breakfast restaurant were dirty.
- One of the staff from restaurant was rude and not helpful.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Excellent value for money, a great base to explore the city, clean and very quite room, and a decent breakfast. The staff were very helpful. There’s a great gym on site and two good size pools. You can stroll easily to the Botanical Gardens from here in about 20mins. There’s a regular shuttle to Orchard Road or again a 20mins stroll. I would get taxis to Marina Bay etc and then make my way on foot back to the hotel which is longer but a great way to see the city if you like walking. Didn’t want to leave! A great start to my adventure. Thank you Novotel for an excellent stay.

Reception staff not very well informed about the hotel. I called the hotel twice before arrival to check they have a bath tub and was told yes. The trainee on reception at checkin says their rooms don’t have bath tubs. I also asked the same receptionist how long it would take to walk to Newton Circus to which she replied 4 minutes!! In fact it took 23 minutes. The next dat yet again I asked the receptionist where the hotel alacarte restaurant was to which she replied on the second floor, after much searching and going back to the reception to speak with someone different I was told it was on the ground floor next door. I know trainees need to learn but their tutors need to teach them better.
