Well equipped kitchen—hob, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, full size fridge (!), filtered water, coffee maker (resupplied), washer/dryer with laundry detergent, nice size counter in the bathroom. Apartment is very well lit. Do bring uk style plug adapters.

We went for the cheapest option and it was very spacious. We had non stick pans, stainless steel pots and pans, plates, bowls, electric rice-cooker, coffee machine, kettle. Trust me, the washing machine was so handy especially for Singapore's weather so we didn't have to bring much at all because we could wash clothes everyday. It's very clean and the air-conditioner is very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel isn't far at all from the Thai embassy where there is a hop on and hop off bus. It's on a quiet road but very close to Orchard mrt station and it's only about a 3 minute walk to the Shaw Centre where you'll find lots of cheap food options starting from £3 to £10 for a bowl of noodles.

Long Stay in Singapore

We had a 21 night stay in the Novotel Living. Its in a great place centrally located in Singapore with easy access to transportation. Shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The initial welcome was great and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was exactly what we needed and is well serviced. Plenty of space to cook, eat and relax. Pool is wonderful and most days we had it to ourselves.

The staff were exceedingly kind and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate me. The location is fantastic and in the heart of the city. They don't have a restaurant but do offer breakfast. The rooms are plush and comfortable and well equipped for an apartment-hotel. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Pros: good location
Cons: poor condition. The room didn't even look like the photos. Bathroom hook was loose. Shower door loose and leaking water cause it couldn't close properly. After the shower ... used the hair dryer.. it sounded loose inside and started smelling smoking and had to go down and speak to staff about all the issue the staff didn't offer a room change even though i requested.

Our family of four recently stayed here for 6 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were helpful and communicative, the rooms were large and clean. The kids loved the pool and we were close to the metro and local shops (we would recommend the LG of the Isetan on Orchard and Scotts for groceries).
We would happily recommend it to other families travelling to Singapore.

Hotel staff was extremely helpful. Everyone was friendly, including the cleaning and maintenance workers. Overall, excellent place to stay. The only drawback was breakfast brought to our room each morning in bento boxes rather than open buffet. But this was unavoidable because of Covid restrictions. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities.

Had a great stay at 8 on Claymore. We stayed during the Christmas and New year period. It is super close to the MRT and the malls (if that's you thing). Unfortunately the weather was only good for the pool on one day, however it is really nice to be able to relax after the hustle and bustle that Singapore can be. Although I try to usually stay at boutique hotels, 8 on Claymore was really clean and continent.
Due to covid requirements the breakfast was delivered to the rooms every morning (bento box style), it was very hit and miss and I believed it may of been sourced from outside.
I would recommend for a stay a little longer than a short holiday or and extended business trip, as it has a washing machine and big fridge.

The ac created a lot of moisture in the room, which had been solved with a portable dehumidifier that created a lot of noice and had to be emptied daily. The breakfast that was server as a bentobox without a possibility of choise, was not ready until after 7.30. The content was not anything that i will be missing.

Room had a double bed rather than the advertised queen which we pointed out to the manager who insisted it was a Singapore Queen size. Apart from this exagerration, room was in very good condition, staff were very friendly, breakfast was included, property location was excellent and we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent, super helpful, friendly staff. Lovely, spacious rooms. Very good swimming pool. Very good range of food for breakfast. Superb location for Orchard Road shopping and the MRT station for public transport both in the city and further afield.. Unfortunate that one of the two lifts was out of commission for a few days before it was mended, but the staff were very apologetic and we were given a compensatory, free evening meal at the Royal Plaza 5* sister hotel.
All in all this is a terrific base for a visit to Singapore. It would be our first port of call, should we go back.

Our second stay at 8 on Claymore. The apartment, though on the small side, was well appointed and clean. The provisions included in the tariff are a very nice touch. The breakfast, also included, is good with a nice array which varies on a daily basis. The pool is a good size and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The apartments are well located near the corner of Orchard and Scotts Roads with easy access to Orchard MRT. We would thoroughly recommend 8 on Claymore.

Friendly helpful staff. 2 bedroom apartment was a bit small for two couples - twin bedroom and second bathroom both very small and better suited to children rather than adults. Note that there are stairs to get from lift area to apartment on each floor - this could be a problem for elderly, disabled or young families with strollers.

The studio apartment at 8 on Claymore was exactly what we needed - clean, roomy, comfortable and conveniently located. During our 10 night stay the staff were consistently helpful and friendly, always prepared to go one step further to help out. The accommodation was well-equipped with everything we needed, and with enough storage space for clothes and suitcases. The included breakfast had plenty of choice, and the thoughtful extras like a welcome pack of food and beverages and free bottled water daily were appreciated. Overall a very positive experience staying here, and we will certainly use 8 on Claymore again next time we come to Singapore.

Great choice for independent travelers. Close to Orchard MRT (@ ION Orchard), bus stops, Food Republic@Shaw Center, and more. Room was clean, nice and new. Also the room came with some complimentary food, snacks and drinks. The breakfast bar had a local food side which was really good and a \"continential\" side with breads, fruits and yogurts. Wifi was free and reliable.

The bed was comfortable but could be improved. I ran out of hot water at the end of two longer showers.

Overall, loved my stay and would stay there again.

I used this service apartment for business trip about three weeks. Room keeps clean and comfortable as it's not equipped with bath tub. Location is very convenient and quiet although it is only 5 minutes walking distance from Orchard station. We can enjoy breakfast including local and western foods. I like chicken curry with rice.

The apartment is close to all transport, shopping and food outlets. the staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue that could be improved was the $250 refundable deposit. This was added to the bill and as a result we accrued 2 lots of charges for currency exchange for this transaction. The $250 refundable deposit should be arranged as a separate transaction and cash could be used to eliminate these extra costs.

One week stay at 8 at Claymore Serviced Residences with family. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good level of cleanliness. Only isssue was that thermostat in flat was faulty. It was probably our fault that we did not tell staff about this problem.
Very close to shops and transport on Orchard Road. Great selection of shops and supermarkets.
Swimming pool was excellent. Breakfast area was small and occasionally we had to sit outside near pool as there were no places in air-con breakfast area.
Would recommend to families as well as couples and singles.

Great staff---knowledgeable and accommodating. Nice facilities. Adequate breakfast, split between Asian and Western selections, although the Western selections could use more variety. Location is a 7-minute walk through the Royal Scotts hotel and then an underpass near the Shaw Cinema to the Orchard MRT. Location is quiet despite proximity to Orchard Road.

This hotel is in an excellent location with very professional staff. We stayed in a studio room which was clean and had modern facilities. But - it only had one chair in the lounge area. I mentioned this to the staff and the said that there was only one chair allocated to studio rooms because they could not fit another one in due the to room set up. This room could easily accommodate another chair. 99% of the time the room would be sold to a couple.

Fantastic place to stay - apartment very clean and had everything you could want for comfortable stay. 2 x bathrooms for a 2 bedroom apartment was ideal with our teenagers. Welcome hamper was great and the daily bottled water was fantastic. All of the staff - including reception, cleaning and servicing - were all amazing and always happy to help. Included breakfast was great with hot and cold options for the whole family. Special thanks for the birthday cake and card delivered for my son during our stay - it was very thoughtful and appreciated. Would highly recommend these apartments :-)

Wonderful stay for a great price!

It was my fiancé's first trip to Singapore and I wanted us to stay in the Orchard area as it was easily accessible to everything.
We stayed at 8 on Claymore for 9 days. Our flight arrived early so we knew our room would not be available yet. After traveling for 32 hours, we were in desperate need of a nice, warm shower before we explored Singapore while waiting for our room to be ready. The staff were so nice and accommodating (I regret not remembering their names), they let us use the shower room in the lobby and even offered us their delicious buffet breakfast so we can refuel before exploring Singapore. They even stored our luggages for us. Thank you so much for that!
We were escorted to our room with a staff member and we were surprised with an upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment. We truly felt like we won the lottery at this point! She showed us around, explained how everything worked. The room looked exactly like it did in the pictures. It was immaculately clean. Everything we need to make our stay comfortable was available
In the room. Espresso machine, utensils which also included rice cooker and toaster, snack pack, drinks, laundry detergent, safe and maps were available in the room. Yes! A 2-in-1 washer and dryer is included in the room.
The bathtub was huge but the only complaint was that the water did not stay hot to fill the tub. Definitely not a deal breaker though.
Location, amenities, staff were all perfect. We are definitely staying here again the next time!

I deliberated between a couple of hotels close to Orchard road for our 10 day trip to Singapore, and I'm so glad that I ended up choosing 8 On Claymore!
If you are traveling with children, this 'apart- hotel' is perfect. It has everything you would expect from a regular hotel but with the added bonus of having separate bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a kitchen, dining and lounge room. Admittedly, we didn't use the kitchen much as a great breakfast is provided on level 4 by the pool and we ate out at dinner time, but it was very well equipped and modern. It is great to have the option of eating in if young children are tired or are fussy eaters. There are two supermarkets within walking distance, one more Asian, and one definitely aimed at foreigners, stocking UK, Australian and American brands. The hotel also provides a free welcome basket in the kitchen, containing all sorts of food and drink items.
The rooms at 8 On Claymore are clean and modern, and are serviced Mon to Fri. The bathrooms contain all the regular supplies expected in a hotel, and there is also a washing machine in the room, with laundry detergent provided.
We found the location of this hotel to be perfect! It is tucked away on a quiet street behind Orchard road, yet by walking through The Shaw Centre, you are on the main street and at the metro station in a matter of minutes. The location and proximity to the MRT means that all places of interest are easily visited. I definitely recommend staying here!

High quality family base in a great location

Perfect as a holiday base for families - great location, clean and modern with kitchen (not that you'll need it, plenty of great food of every kind nearby), a large pool for a dip, small kids play area, a complimentary selection of drinks and snacks, a satisfactory breakfast and great advice from friendly, attentive staff.

It's an easy, quick walk to Orchard Road including the MRT and taxis and ubers are never far away.

We loved our stay - we bought my older, not well travelled parents with us and got separate studio apartments each. The apartments were well appointed and the staff friendly. The location, free breakfasts and amentities such as laundry facilities in each room made it easy for us all. The proximity to MRT and bus stops, and walking distance to Orchard Road, Botanic Gardens and Newton Circus was fab. The 24 hour pool was brilliant for an early morning, afternoon or late night swim. We loved it. Thanks to the great staff

The apartment which was minutes from the main shopping centre of Orchard Road was quiet and comfortable. It was fully kitted out and spacious. The breakfast was good with a variety of foods on offer. The service and courtesy we received was very good. Swimming pool was spotless and offered fresh towels. There was on offer tea or coffee all day. Great place to stay.

Had a pleasant week long stay here with the family in a very clean 2 br unit. Very comfortable, great location-train station were just few mins wak away, room requests were met with nil issues. Serviced daily except for weekends n even had a surprised little cake for my little girl's birthday and we did not even inform them. We left somehing behind, called them and it was all sorted. Outstanding service. I will not hesitate to stay here if travelling with the family again. Buffetbreakfast include the local cuisines-changes everyday.

Our party of 4 included 2 young kids, and this apartment did not disappoint.

Highlights include:
- Great customer service & friendly staff;
- Rooms were clean;
- Close to shops/eateries/MRT station;
- Buffet breakfast was generous, with choices of cereal, cold meats, bakery items, hot food & juices.

Tip#1 - Use the basement connection through to Royal Plaza on Scotts (sister hotel) for quicker access to Orchard Rd.

We had a very pleasant stay at 8 on Claymore. Although the reception area was not open when we arrived during the early hours of the morning, they had arranged for a staff member to be there to give us our room keys. Excellent service and very helpful and obliging staff - we will certainly stay here again. We paid for 7 nights for a 6 night stay, but still found it to be good value. Have recommended to family and friends. A minor criticism is the breakfast, which we found to be average and does not live up to the website write up. However, when you are in Singapore you should be trying the many places and varieties of food to eat, rather than fill up on a hotel breakfast.

Clean but silly marred by silly omissions.

The property was conveniently located for our particular purposes but would benefit from a little attention to details like provision of suitable lighting. The second bedroom had no lighting controllable from either of the two beds. Two of the four overhead lights in the main bedroom were controllable from the bed but neither of these was well located for reading in bed: there were no bedside lights. Many channels of television available in the (small) living area but no access to radio anywhere.

Toiletries were not replenished in our stay of 2 weeks.

Staff were unfailingly smiling and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at 8 on Claymore. The staff were very responsive. We took a studio and it had more than everything one would need. It was great having a full kitchen to make drinks or heat up food brought in. It also came with a washer/dryer which we did use a number of times. Much to our surprise even the laundry detergent was supplied, most other places only give you enough for one wash which makes it inconvenient when we have to go and purchase more. It had a substantial breakfast, asian and western foods which my husband really enjoyed to his heart's content! It also came with daily maid service except weekends and holidays. It has a swimming pool and a kids' pool. The only thing lacking was a dishwasher but it didn't matter because the maids did the dishes too! The location was great for eating places, shopping and transportation. Even my siblings who live in Singapore was surprised that such a place existed so close to Orchard road.

I stayed in 8 on Claymore for 7 days while in SG for business in the orchard area.

The taxi driver didn't know of the place, so it took a bit of effort to direct him there.

Upon arriving it is not immediately clear where you should go to checkin. There are signs directing you to the 4th floor, but they are easy to miss.

The staff was very helpful in explaining how everything in room works. There was also a clearly explained manual for all of the appliances.

The room interior is stylish and functional. The curtains do not block light as much as I would have hoped.

There is no bath tub; only a shower. The overhead rainforest shower head is decent, but water pressure is lacking. There was a lack of amenities in the room. No toothbrush/paste, and no shaving equipment. They are provided upon request.

The bed has a good quality mattress. Nice down pillows, but they flattened out when used. Pillow options would be nice.

The room comes furnished with a generous amount of snacks, cereal, juices, and even a can of beer. Free for first use, and only charged upon refilling.

The breakfast buffet was acceptable in terms of quality and variety, but seating can run out if you go during peak hours.

Room had a bad smell to it.

We noticed the bad smell right away. After a few days me and my husband where not feeling good. Our last day we where miserable. Plus, the microwave and coffee maker did not work. House keeping let the front desk know, but it was never resolved. After we left we started feeling better. Would not recommend other said their rooms smelled bad also.

This Hotel was excellent, we had 2 teenage girls and the rooms were very spacious. Staff were fantastic and all amenities we excellent. It was also so close to everything and close to the MRT stations which made it easy to travel around Singapore.

The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean even though a bit compact. the free carpark and buffet breakfast added to the value. We love the convenient location and would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient location to stay. The registration system for carpark might be a bit slower as I had to press the bell quite a number of times.

I booked a two-bedroom suite for our group of four and I was thanked extravagantly for finding such a perfect place in such a perfect location. The staff was endlessly pleasant and helpful. The suite had a full kitchen and was supplied with a \"starter\" kit of cereals, soup, cookies, milk, beer and soft drinks. Bottled water was supplied daily. Air conditioning, so important in Singapore, was zoned and thermostat controlled and kept us very comfortable.

Great Location

Our family of four (parents and two teenagers) spent a week in Singapore, enjoying all the sights and sunshine.
The apartment was spacious and very close to Scott's/Orchard Road. Clean and tidy and it was nice to have the complimentary drinks and snacks when we first arrived. The bottled water each day was really appreciated. Helpful staff and they answered all our questions. Nice breakfast with something for the whole family to eat. Highly recommend these apartments.

Great place to stay!

We were very comfortable at 8 on Claymore while in Singapore visiting our son! On arrival, the attendants were so helpful- even calling our cab to retrieve a suitcase that was left and bringing it to our room on arrival- we were able to access our room earlier than expected, which was a relief, after our 25 plus hour journey! Steven at the reception desk gave us a tour and we found all the amenities just right. The location was perfect too- close enough to Orchard and the MRT for easy access. Breakfast every day was also good and convenient for our itinerary. Felt like home( but less work!)

We stayed here for 10 nights and I would stay here again so would thoroughly recommend it. We had a two bedroom apartment and the space was great for our family of four. The kitchen has basic supplies but enough to prepare your own meals if you don't want to eat out every night. There are several supermarkets nearby too. We were there for my daughter's birthday and the staff gave her a card and cake which was lovely. I was also able to bake a cake too as we invited friends around to help celebrate - and there was enough space and plates etc to have friends around for dinner. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast each day gives an option of western or asian dishes and the food and drinks provided in the room when you first arrive was also appreciated. The location is great - very convenient for Orchard Road and public transport.

I made the right choice!

My review may be slightly tainted I admit, as we paid for a Premier Studio room, but were selected to be upgraded to a 2 Bedroom apartment at check-in. The room blew me away. Very elegant and spacious. Every feature we may have needed was present, and the air-conditioning was effective and most welcomed.

Service at check-in was exceptional as we were guided by a pleasant staff member and shown the hotel facilities. English is not a problem in Singapore, and the skills of our staff were excellent.

Breakfast was simple but plentiful, and very tasty. 24 hour coffee facilities too. Lovely pool area and cool gym.

Excellent savings through Expedia on a minimum of 7 nights deal.

The 2 Bedroom apartment was just amazing, and the views we had from room 11E, in 3 directions, were great, even with the haze. The kitchen facilities are excellent, large fridge and freezer, and a coffee machine. Lots of gift snacks and drinks too, and plenty of bottled water provided. The room had absolutely everything we could need. TV selection was excellent, even if many channels were not available. The bathrooms were lovely, with the main having a great shower head, and a deep bath.

Using the MRT: Once in the underpass, getting to the Orchard MRT station may be a little confusing at first, but you'll become familiar rather quickly. The MRT system is excellent, and definitely the way to get around. Taxis are cheap though.

Plaza Singapura was my choice to shop and eat on Orchard. (Dhoby Ghaut MRT)

Exellent apartment at a great location!

We stayed in the 2bdr apartment for 1 wk. Great place for families right in the city centre. Modern, clean facilities, extremely friendly and accomodating staff. We were grateful for the complimentary welcome drinks/snack food. There is room for improvement with the daily inclusive buffet breakfast but it was sufficient to start the day. We made good use of the children pool and playground. Will definitely come back!!

Hotel staff very attentuve. I stayed in a studio apartment It was fine for me as I was alone however if I had been travelling with someone we would have fouught over the sungle chair in the studio. Extensive range of hot and cold Breakfast items available. One of the real benefits was that there was a washer dryer in the studio. Air-con in room whilst essential was very loud Location perfect,very central,close to the MRT. I would recommend this Hotel.

With a 4 respectable 5 star property i do expect some basic service just to be there. This unfortunately is not the case with this property. When i arrived from a long haul flight, i had to look for a porter to help me with my luggage and then go up to the 4th floor for my check in. Check in was o.k but immediately $250.00 per charged to my credit card (not held as a safety deposit but physically charged), with the comment that this is standard procedure and that i would get a refund at the end of my stay, if i would not use the full amount. This still leaves me with currency exchange risks and i have never before experienced that anywhere in the world.
Once i was shown to my studio apt. which was actually not a studio but a very small hotel room in which a kitchenette had been cramped in, i was also informed, that amenities such as shower gel, etc. will only be provided upon arrival (i.e. once) and thereafter i would have to buy my own. Change of sheets was 3 times a week and no room service was on weekends (Sat/Sun). Not really 4 or 5 star style.
Furthermore the air-condition did not work very well (cooling ok, but did not take any of the extreme humidity out of the air) and had a dehumidifier in the room, which i had to empty at least 4 times in 24 hours.
Breakfast which was included, was at best average and internet was useless (fas too slow)

Not a property for the business traveller and will not go back.

Fantastic serviced apartment

Our stay with this serviced apartment was truly fantastic from start to finish. Loved the welcome basket of goodies, the fridge stocked with drinks, the lovely welcome (we arrived at 1am). Serviced apartment was very modern, spacious, well designed with modern appliances and apartment was always clean thanks to Rati! The staff at reception were always so very accommodating and friendly. I will be staying here everytime I come back to Singapore. This is without a doubt a fantastic place to stay in Singapore as it is also very central, close to orchard road and within easy access to cinema, transport, supermarket and restaurants. It is great for families too as we travelled with children. We will be back for sure. Thank you 8 on Claymore for making our stay in Singapore memorable

Love Singapore hate the Haze

Great hotel..room, breakfast, staff wonderful...a charging station in the room for all electronics saved us taking all the converters. We were unaware of a public holiday during our stay when room services not done but a minor issue. Great walking city but also urge the Hop On Hop Off bus. Location of the hotel also excellent. Definitely recommend it.

The hotel is located in a great neighbourhood within walking distance to all the malls on Orchard Road and to the Orchard MRT station making getting to anywhere a breeze. The breakfast each morning was adequate and the complimentary food basket in the room was a nice surprise. Having an in room washer/dryer was also a bonus.

Staff are kind, patient, understanding, and helpful. Appreciated their efforts in making our stay as comfortable as possible.
Apartments centrally located. Has facilities to be reasonably self sufficient if need be. Air con fabulous. Room size adequate. Big pool and outdoor area with daybeds perfect for lounging. Good value. Building has good security features, felt safe.
Having breakfast included is a real bonus.
A holiday to remember for all the right reasons.
