Diamond hotel was nice and clean, but for some strange reason I couldnt get the Jays and Dodgers game on. It was like the only hotel in Japan that didnt have that channel to watch, which was sad since I am from Toronto. Besides that it was okay. Oh wait there was a huge moth in our room and other insects as well in bathroom.

Shower was great. Flow was enough strength.
But this property has only 2 laundries. So you might need to secure enough time for that.
And if previous user has not grab them clothes, you should ask to take out these to staffs.
Also this hotel has not fitness center.

But, this stay was almost amazing.

A very quiet place to stay at and very easy to access. The staff are helpful and always available to assist.

Just to note, the property is quite old so the rooms are pretty dated. There is no overhead lighting in the room, just mood lighting so it is slightly dim at night. Also, the nearest coin laundry location is about 9 min away. Otherwise, it is a great place to live at, the rooms are larger than counterparts of similar budget!

For a cheap night while navigating Tokyo a good price. But even so the hotel is well in need of a renovation. The bathroom furniture was a worrying shade and the lighting levels in the room very poor. The bed was comfy, can’t deny that. But the welcome message on the desk informing me that my pajamas and lan cable were in the draw made me wonder what era I’d landed in. Also, no coffee or milk in the room, just a solitary green tea bag. Breakfast was edible but sub par. The food although seemingly in warmers was actually cold.

Convenient location as it is just a two minute walk to the subway station and a five minute walk to the Imperial Palace grounds. Friendly staff. Very clean. Room pretty spacious for one guest. Very affordable.

I liked that it was a clean, convenient hotel room.
It is only 3 star because there is not pool, spa, or gym facility.
But I am not looking for that.
The staff was courteous and tried their best to understand English.
The only downside would be for big & tall.
I am short and not so big so the room did not feel cramped.
Room had no view except of the outside of the building next to it.
The bathroom door swings out so that your knees do not get hurt while you are on the commode.
Very good value for a hotel near the Imperial Palace grounds.

The hotel was accommodating and fairly comfortable, the food in the restaurant was delicious and as a smoker I appreciated the smoking room, everything was very clean and cleaned well every day of my stay, my only issue was the Wifi was very poor and I had to use mobile data as it barely worked.

Great location. Room was a good size for even two people. They don't accommodate early check-in, but they can hold your luggage while you go exploring. Everything was clean. Good breakfast. Really helpful staff.

The bathroom is a bit of a squeeze, so not ideal for large visitors (at least for a Single-type room). Also, the pillows are unusual--something to be mindful of. Also, information for the train exit (especially for the elevator option) would have been really helpful.

Very good, comfortable and clean room. Great location, extremely close to subway Hanzomon line. Area is very quiet, but there are some restaurants close by. Very close to the Imperial Palace Garden, great to easily be able to go for a run there. Changed to this hotel at the last minute and I am very thankful I did, very happy with my stay

The hotel was nice, but very small. The bathroom would not work for someone over 6 feet tall. I had to pay 7500 yen extra because I had my wife with me, even though I was told by hotel. com that I would not have to pay any additional fees. The hotel is right next to chiyoda city; which is where the Emperor of Japan resides, great hotel, but small and over priced by American standards.

basically ok for short time.
But inside room, I found quite a lot of dusts on furniture etc. Inside the bathtub was dirty, was moldy.. there were somebody’s hairs under the toilet.

It's a pretty old hotel, and the rooms are the typical tiny rooms you will find in Tokyo. Most of the hotel smells like smoke, and our first non-smoking room smelled strongly like smoke. Upon request, the staff did switch our rooms to another non-smoking room that didn't smell like it was smoked in, unlike the first. There isn't much to do or eat nearby, so you'll have to take a subway to Ginza or Shibuya to do anything. But it is very close to those locations by subway.

Decent, good location, bad internet

The hotel is located in a very convenient location next to the imperial palace and very close to the metro. It's easy to get around because of this. The room was a bit small, but I didn't have any problem with this. I felt like the room was pretty dusty cause after a day or two of staying, I had a slight later of dust on my things. Also, the internet was terrible slow and would disconnect a lot, not sure if it was our room location or something else. If the internet was better I would stay again.

Good customer service. They greet and acknowledge your presence. They are most helpful and genuinely expressive. Nearby Hanzomon subway station; this makes travel from one destination to another within Tokyo really easy and straighforward. Also near Imperial Edo Castle palace, so easy commute to see. We'll do service with them in the future. Recommend.

Larger than usual room for this price in Tokyo

What made this hotel great is that the staff go very far to please us. They are so friendly and are available 24 7. We had a situation where we left an item at a previous hotel that didn't speak English and Diamond Hotel helped us translate to them and retrieve our item. I love them very much for helping us in this way.

The wifi worked well.

Located right next to Chidorigafuchi park which is great if you want to see the cherry blossoms in spring. Located 1 block from Hanzomon train station.

Ok for one night not more

The hotel's employees are helpful and very polite. The location is nice and in a quite area. My main problem with this hotel, is you can't open the windows for fresh air due to this issue the room smell of cigarette smoke really bad. I booked a smoking room because i vape. The only option was to switch on the ventilator which looks like it was link to every rooms, and that causes more cigarette smells and other smells, as well as dust from other rooms most of the time into our room. The bed was like sleeping on a bench with only one pillow per person, not comfortable.
Would I recommend this hotel..... no, but it doesn't concerns the employees, as they were first class.

Perfect Hotel

The hotel is about a 3 minute walking distance from exit 4 of the Hanzomon Station, located in the center of Tokyo downtown (mainly the business district). As you enter, you are always welcomed by the amazing staff, where you will check in, and then go to your room.

The room is a comfortable size, with a nice large bed. The bathroom is a bit small; however, this is Asia, and everything is always small. It has everything you need, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shavers, toothbrushes, and a hairdryer. They have green tea always, with an electric water kettle, and a mini-fridge as well.

Wifi was always working and pretty fast. The hotel staff are always friendly, and although they mainly speak Japanese, you can still communicate as best as you can with them in broken English.

There is a wonderful restaurant as well in the first floor, which is perfect if you want to get some food. But honestly, with the station so close by, it is only 4 stops away from Shibuya or 6 stops from Shinjuku, all wonderful places to visit for shopping and food.

I highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely be staying there again.

This was my first trip to Japan, I loved the Diamond hotel, really good price, comfortable and has everything I needed for the 9 days I stayed , including a delicious meal in the attached restaurant. Staff where very friendly and eager to help. Even let me check in 3 hours early after a long overnight flight.

Great location too as subway links are a stones throw away which added to a perfect trip!

One of the best 3 stars I know in Asia.

A bit dated but a safe and central area. A walk to the imperial park in the morning is the best money can't buy. The rooms are small and dated but well maintained. Actually at the right price a very nice option. The reception staff better than at the Hilton,not joking. Metro Station Hanzomon exactly around the corner, a nice supermarket 300 m away, just walk to the Monterey Hotel, then on the other side after the Doutor Cafe turn into the street .
One can even walk to Shinjuku (4 km) on a sunny day.
Overall in its category a 5 star place of a 3 star hotel.
Btw don't get the 12 us breakfast, not worth it. Have it somewhere else.
Wifi is a drama, ask for the additional antenna at the reception, free of charge.
Ideal for 1 person, the rooms are 13m2 ,if ever :)
140sqft is nothing for 2 people. The TV had no foreign channels at all.

Diamond Hotel is very close to Hanzomon Station, on the Hanzomon Line of the Tokyo Subway, which made getting around very easy. To go to any main areas (Shibuya, Akihabara, Shinjuku, etc.) you do have to switch lines, but it's not so bad. The area is quiet, but there's a few restaurants, and a Family Mart that is very, very close by. The room was kept clean, and the service was great. In addition, our room had a bath tub, which was really awesome! However, the wifi is really awful throughout the hotel, including in the room, which is a shame. I was able to get by, largely because the Metro has wifi which you can connect to, so I could figure out where we were going. However, if you'll need wifi for business, this would not work. Everything else was really wonderful though. It's very close to the Imperial Palace Grounds, which was a lovely park area.

Great value for your money!

The hotel is a bit dated but the staff is superb and location is great. Hanzomon station is a short walk away. The restaurants on location have good options and are priced well. I would definitely stay again. The bathrooms are a bit small, if you're over 6 ft you may have some difficulty. I'm a little under 6ft and struggled the first day but then adjusted fine. The beds are a bit stiff but I was ok with that. A great option for business or pleasure.

Very close to the imperial palace.

Nice business hotel, more for business people than tourists though. Location, very close to the imperial palace but on the other side of the park from tokyo station so you have a 3km walk to tokyo station, and a long journey to most of the touristy places, so not the best location for tourists. Room was clean and comfortable enough, but on the first night our air conditioner was really noisy so it was difficult to sleep.
All in all a very decent hotel. The big plus for me was the following:
In tokyo foreign tourists by law have to show their passport at hotel checkin. However, if you are non-japanese but are resident in japan(eg you live in japan), by law you are not required to show passport or photo id at hotel checkin(just like japanese nationals). Many hotels see a foreign face and insist you show your passport, even if you have a japanese address. The diamond hotel didnt do this, I told them i was a resident of japan, wrote my address and they were happy with that. So they have very well trained reception staff. Well done the diamond hotel.

We had a comfortable two night stay at the Diamond Hotel. It's in a very convenient location for a train station, and there are some restaurants close by (though we didn't eat at any). The room itself is small, but as we only returned to the hotel to sleep, this was fine for us. The bathroom was also small but manageable, and everything was clean and in working order!

Room size is reasonable for a business hotel. The layout of furniture makes the room looks spacious. Cleanliness of the room is good. The down side is that the hotel looks old and they are still using normal keys to open the door. For those who does not mind the outlook, this is definitely the hotel you can check out.

Close to Tokyo Imperial Palace Garden

I can't give anything less than a 5 star rating on service, condition and cleanliness for any place I stayed in Japan, because there is practically no such thing as a grimy hotel in Japan. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and rooms are clean, even if it is an older hotel.
The room, as most places in Tokyo, wasn't spacious, but we didn't spend any time in the room anyway, as we were out exploring the beautiful sites of the city. One of which is walking distance; Tokyo Imperial Palace Garden (the palace is only open 2 days a year, but the garden is great to check out)! You can walk around the whole site which is surrounded by a beautiful 'moat', lined with trees. The Hanzomon train line is very close also, so pretty easy to get around from here.

One of the most decent hotels in Tokyo

Diamond Hotel was one of the most decent places I have stayed in my trips to Tokyo. The employees extremely helpful; I had initially booked a smoking double room but upon request they upgraded it to a non-smoking twin room. The room was very clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable with memory foam pillows.

The Diamond Hotel is in a good location and is inexpensive. If your looking for a hotel that is not all the bells and whistles then this is a great hotel for you. Just a few blocks from the Imperial Palace the Honzomon gate. Rooms are small but well layed out. Breakfast buffee very good, no bar that we found but didnt look to hard for one either, they might have one. But after running all over Tokyo, doing business you just need a bed and rest. Easy for customers to find your location and take you to meetings on the subway.

Very Poor Receptionist Attitude

The hotel is located near the Imperial Palace. I don't know why, but the annex of the hotel was closed several years ago. Because the hotel is closed to my office, I often stayed there when I have to work until late time. This time, I booked the hotel through Hotels.com, however, the hotel receptionist insisted that they do not have my booking record. I was so tired to argue with the receptionist, and eventually he found my booking record. I, therefore, would not like to stay at the hotel again.

Decent hotel, but priced a bit high...

Good things: hotel was clean, great service, very close to Hanzomon Station. Bad things: hotel shows sign of age, with old and small/cramped toilet, and the doors are thin which lets in the noise from the hallway. Expect to be woken up at 2-3am on the weekends when other customers are talking outside your door.

Older business hotel, but has some shortcomings

This is an older Japanese business hotel. The location is very convenient, the Hanzomon station (Tokyo Metro) is just a block away. The room and the bed is small, but clean. It was really annoying that they couldn't provide an iron (because of safety reasons!?) or even an ironing service, but they told me they can give me an ironing board if I get my own iron from somewhere else. Good, but not for Western Tourists

The Diamond hotel caters fror Japanese businessmen stopping just for one or two nights. We chose the hotel because we were arriving in downtown Tokyo at around 11.00 am after an overnight flight from the UK, and the Diamond offers noon check in. They kindly let us into our rooms on arrival at 11 am, so the service is good. Not many staff speak English, though. The room was small, but the bed was very, very hard. There was no wardrobe & just one hanger on a hook. I would not recommend it for Westerners as they are not the Diamond's target market.

The Diamond hotel is nice and the restaurant was good but the bed was a lot too firm.

Central location for those on a budget

A typical older Japanese business hotel. There is free LAN internet but no foreign channels on the cable TV. The bed is small and not very comfortable. As the hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from a central subway station (Hanzomon) this is a great location.

ホスピタリティに溢れる素晴らしいホテルだった。駅からも近く近くには飲食店もあり夜も満足できた。とてもリーズナブルに泊まれるのでまた泊まれる機会があれば是非泊まりたい！

チェックアウトが正午なので、朝ゆっくりできると、ここのホテルを選びました。しかし朝食が10時までなので、さほどゆっくりできず、逆に朝食後、１時間くらい時間にロスができてしまします。できれば朝食を11時までにしていただきたい。駅に近く、都心なのに閑静で、穴場の良いホテルだと思います。
