This place has a lovely charm. I was warmly greeted upon my arrival, and the hosts were very approachable and helpful the whole visit. Our room was very clean and quiet. There was a good variety of food for a continental breakfast, and staff checked in regularly to see if we needed any cleaning, towels, etc. for our room. The only thing holding this rating back from 5 stars is the quality of the mattresses- they were not great, but that could be an easy fix. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room was facing Sherbrooke and it was a very snowy weekend so we did wake up a few times because of the snow removal trucks out front. But we had a great stay, regardless. The hotel is quaint and traditional and our room was away from traffic noise but you could easily hear other guests coming and going, not the fault of the hotel at all. However, this meant only a view of a wall and the fire exit.

Although no elevator and parking is off-site ( still very convenient, safe and well lit with security cameras), the staff and the ambiance of the building alone make up for it. Very close (10min stroll) to a variety of restaurants and bistros. 30 mins from Old Montreal on foot. Will be my future go to when I am in town. Highly recommend

Free Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, and the staff were super nice. Perfect spot near cute shops and great restaurants. No parking on-site, but it’s easy to find nearby. We’ll be back!

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel itself is very charming and the location was walking distance to everywhere we wanted go. Our room was large, beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. The breakfast was delicious. The best part was the staff. All of the front desk people were so helpful, but our favorite was Carol, who was so friendly and kind to us every morning at breakfast. We would love to come back and stay again.

My single room didn't have a private bathroom - but I believe that is an issue with Expedia not properly listing the description (most rooms have them - and it wasn't an issue for a solo traveler like myself).

This stately old building has been renovated extensively but it is still an old building in an old part of Montreal. We knew what it would be like when we made our reservation and chose history and charm over modern conveniences. The staff was wonderful - by noon we felt like family. They called us by name and were eager to go out of their way to meet any need we had.

This was a lovely “old fashioned” hotel in a nice quiet area off the main drag in Montreal / Sherbrooke. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Tge bedroom was huge and nicely furnished . Bathroom had both a spa bath and shower and spotless. Breakfast buffet was a delight with everything you could want. Tea coffee and hot chocolate.
