We stayed there for a night and the second convertible bed was a broken one and so werent able to use it. And the bed we laid on was bed bug infested i believe, we got bites from there.

The bath faucet was leaking, the bathroom sink didn't drain properly, there was no shampoo or conditioner, no fan for the bathroom, the walls were damaged, there was no way to control the a/c and the parking was full so we had to park at a different location. I wouldn't recommend.

La localisation de l'hôtel est excellente, proche du coeur des activités et du quartier des spectacles. La propreté laisse cependant à désirer: certains coulis de café étaient visibles sur les poignées de porte et les murs et moulures ont besoin d'un rafraîchissement. Stationnement souterrain disponible à 32$ par jour pour ceux qui viennent en voiture. Somme toute, rapport qualité prix OK.

I truly wish I could give the Chrome a glowing review—but I can’t.

While there are some notable positives to this hotel—great location, spacious rooms, and a
surprisingly nice view—these pluses are overshadowed by three specific issues:

1) the hotel looks nothing like advertised: those nice pictures off the lobby and brightly renoed rooms? Absolutely false: in reality the hotel is run down, in poor repair, and under renovation: the restaurant is closed, and the lobby is shabby with vending machines balanced on damp hotel towels

2) my room was dirty: there is noticeable mould in the bathroom, there was old food and dirt on the floor behind the sliding doors, and the blanket had … whiteish sticky stuff on it

3) after formally complaining (and bringing down an entire, lint and dirt covered cookie I found behind the bedroom door in an envelope to make my point—i was offered a “deep clean.” The dirty blanket was removed, but not replaced, and the dirty food behind the sliding doors remained untouched. I was told by hotels.com the hotel would would discuss the issue with me —this never occurred.

Staff did their best, I might add—this is clearly a matter of poor management.

I’m genuinely sorry I can’t be more positive—I’m not the type to complain, but this…frankly appeared to be a surprisingly total lack of interest in quality or customer experience by management.

It's not flashy but it gets the job done. There is no housekeeping during your stay (at least not during the three days I spent there). I assume they will make up the room if you ask, but I never bothered.

Do not stay at this hotel, condition of hotel does not match the photos, staff not helpful.we had to checkout due to strong smell of cleaning products, the room was not ventilated after cleaning with bleach products. Refused to give us alternate room and told to prop your door open to the hall, the smell will go away. No other choice than to book another hotel. We arrived at four and our one room was not ready…after two hours hanging out in the lobby with no resolution we left as we needed a place to sleep . The odour was very strong and made my friend ill. There were other issues as well.

Cons: Elevator broke - no contingency plan, had to climb up 5 flights of stairs in a 85 degree stairwell (shoutout to other guest who helped my elderly mother carry her baggage up at 11pm)(didn’t get any compensation)

The air conditioning leaves a lot to be desired - I asked for a fan and they didn’t give me one.

Shower wasn’t cleaned well in between guests (love seeing other people’s pubic hair!) (there was also rust on all the drains)

Of the 5 lamps in the room, only two worked.

Only one side of the bed had a plug to charge, but both outlets are being used by lamps.

Overall: the location is great, but the hotel doesn’t look anything like its advertised. The staff was not very helpful/hospitable.

They offer a clean , spacious room at a good price. The hotel is also at a great location. It is just minutes away from Old Montreal and close to the metro. However, the upkeep could be better. The refrigerator racks were either missing or broken and my nightstand had a broken drawer. The closet is large but there were only 3 clothes hangers present. Like many hotels, they will let you store your luggage after you check out. However at this hotel they charge a fee for this service.

Price okay, good location but everything smelled like an ashtray. Overwhelming. People are allowed to smoke directly next to the door outside and the hallways smell like smoke, the room, the bed, the sofa, the elevator.... also, I was suprised that I was asked to charge my credit card $200 as a deposit. Understood, but why does it take 10 business days to get it back? Why do they charge it?

La personne a l’accueil n’a pas voulu me remettre mon reçu de paiement pour la chambre et le dépôt de sécurité me disant que j’en avais pas besoin et ce, même si j’ai insisté. L’air climatisée ne fonctionnait pas, on a eu chaud toute la nuit. Dans la réservation, ça indiquait petit déjeuner inclus, on n’a rien eu de ça parce que la cuisine/salle à manger était en rénovation et aucun message à cet effet. En arrivant pour faire le check-out, la réceptionniste était sur son cellulaire, a pris notre carte et nous a dit aurevoir. Très très ordinaire comme service… Ce qui devait être inclu ne l’était finalement pas et on n’a pas eu de remboursement partiel. Je ne recommande pas du tout.

Ma dernière réservation dans un hôtel de la place a été annulée sans raison donc j’ai dû réserver à la dernière minute et sans trop savoir sur quoi m’attendre, mais ma surprise était au delà de mes attentes et mon séjour était vraiment excellent, le personnel très agréable, celui qui m’a reçu à mon arrivée. Et aujourd’hui cet hôtel à la tête de ma liste si je retourne encore à Montréal.

Run down hotel but in a good location. Rooms are pretty large with a fridge with lots of visible weat and tear . Staff unfriendly and seem to care less about guests comfort or experience. You ultimately get what you pay for as it is one of the cheeper hotels in DT Montreal.

Looked like the bathroom was renovated not that long ago except for the ceiling where they had a leak and it wasn't repaired properly. We liked the location as we were attending a show which was walking distance to the theatre.

The 1st room we had smelled like paint. The washroom door was newly painted. The AC was loud, old, dusty and we were not able to turn it on so we called the frontdesk.

Front desk was not helpful, very dismissive - we were asked to stay in the room that smelled paint amd be moved next day. We moved to the next door room, it was better but not good.

The parking is very steep and it scratches the bumper of our car because of a sudden dip on the entrance of the basement parking.

The location of the hotel was good though. Very accessible and walking distance to old Montreal.

From outside the underground garage to get to my parked car, access wasn't easy. You have to struggle to walk inside the underground garage, because the hotel parking was full and they gave us paid parking area, otherwise it was fine.

Room appeared a good size, clean and inviting. As the visit progressed the shine wore off - shower with broken control only produced scolding water, noise from other rooms incredibly loud, and when finally awake in am found my mattress full of blood stains from bed bugs Mattress clearly showed evidence of attempts to clean prior with fresh blood stains on top. Clearly hotel aware of issue prior or should have known given large amount of stains. Completely dismissed when brought to the attention of front desk staff. Very disappointing and a danger to the public. Note: i work for Public Health in another city and will file a report. In my opinion the hotel is negligent in providing a safe environment for customers.

Overall great stay, our closet door in the room was a little broken, but could still be pulled open and shut, there was a little bit of mold or stain in one of the drawers, however the rest of the room was perfectly clean and taken care of, everything was provided for the 4 of us and the girl at the front desk was super friendly and took great care of us. Location was super convenient too, would recommend. Thanks again!!

My stay at this hotel was one of the worst experiences of my life. The hotel lacks basic facilities and proper guest service. Cleanliness was extremely poor, and the staff did not provide adequate assistance or room service when needed.

Unfortunately, this was the worst part of my Montreal trip. The overall experience was very disappointing, and I do not feel that the hotel offers value for money. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not choose to stay here again.

Hotel rooms are very dated!! I cringed when I walked in!! The air conditioning is soooo noisy, it stoped working in the middle of the night, consequently the room was very stuffy! Shower was awful, the hot water was not very hot and the control for the shower kept sliding. So you had to hold it in place or the water cooked down more. Location is good. Friendly staff

I did not like the hotel; they charge 10 dollars extra per hour if you don’t check out on time,I check out 15 min after y they charge me extra. My flight was a 2 hours after check out; I ask if they can hold my luggage for 2 hours and they said I have to pay 5 dollars per each luggage; the hotel needs repairs you can pay a little more money and get a better deal

Terrible place. We booked for 2 night and we couldn't survive for the second night. We choose to drive to Toronto 8pm and not sleep there again. The room was horribly smelling detergent that I thought it was cleaned after a crime scene!!!! Not even a bottle of water in fridge. It was not dirty but not giving you the ckean vibes. There was no parking and staff without any helpful comments give you a parking location which if you go figure out it is a public parking that you would have chosen to not go if you were aware of it

Liked the parking garage in the basement which was very convenient. The room was large but not very clean, bathroom was old and shower was broken. The A/C unit literally had dirt and cobwebs inside. The A/C kept making this very annoying noise all night. Room walls were so thin that you could hear people next door talking. The TV in the adjacent room was so loud till late at night and food smell kept coming in from the adjacent room from under the connecting room. Asked at the reception to fill in my water bottle at a filling station and were asked to fill in water from the bathroom faucet or purchase water. Poor customer service.

Do not stay at this hotel. The pictures that you find in the website are probably AI generated. It was horrible, the staff wasn't cordial and everything needed maintenance. The reception was terrible, the elevator had a faulty electrical problem, the room had a broken desk, and much more. Then during the night, the fire alarm got activated. All the guests went outside and waited until the fire department to clear us to go in. Not the staff, they didn't talk to us once during the ordeal. I would never stay nor recommend anyone staying at this hotel.
