Everything a boutique hotel should be: stylish, thoughtfully designed, clean and comfortable! Loved the lobby lattes, in-room coffeemaker and premium zero-litter bath amenities. The kitchenette had everything we needed for in-room snacking. The handmade ceramic dishes are beautiful and were a pleasure to handle—an unexpected and artistic touch. We made use of the steam room in the morning after snagging a late check out. Nabil and team are amazing—thank you for a lovely stay!

Lastly, there are no instructions on the room AC/heater control unit, so it was just guess work in order to get the room down to a comfortable level...it was 28C when I arrived.
A few little changes would make this place a total gem.

Everything about Boxotel was so lovely, cozy, organized, clean, an absolute delight. Nabil (not sure how to spell?), the front desk staff we interacted with most, was the most accomodating and ensured our stay was as convenient and relaxing as possible. He was truly so lovely to interact with. The rooms were equipped with kitchenware to cook, wonderful laundry machines, clean bathrooms, and really comfortable beds. No notes. The place was perfect. To top it off we sauna and steamed every day! Thank you Boxotel!

We had an amazing weekend at Boxotel. The room was clean, spacious and well stocked with everything needed in the kitchen. The hotel operations manager Nabil was so helpful and kind. The continental breakfast was lovely (hint: cut a croissant in half and put the Quebec cheese in between and microwave for a few seconds - simple and tasty). The gym and spa were perfect and we enjoyed both during our stay.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, and I liked the convenient continental breakfast. I did not realize when I booked this that it is set up to be a longterm stay hotel, ie, the bed folds into a couch (which unfortunately means there’s an odd gap between the bed and the wall when open) and there is a kitchen area. Also, you key into the hotel with a code since there’s no front desk. This felt a little unsafe because the code pad is in an alcove but clearly visible to the street, and the door opens automatically and takes a long time to close after you. Last, the exterior side of my room’s window was unwashed and dusty, and there were two spiders visible on the outside of the window.

We had a lovely time at Boxotel! Got upgraded to a suite on two floors with a private rooftop terrace, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A real oasis! The hotel is centrally located, close to metro stations, and yet the room was very quiet. Room was beautifully appointed, very modern. No cable to watch the news live, but there is on demand podcasts. The full kitchen had everything you need (dishes, pots and pans, dish cloth, and of course an expresso machine with some pods and sugar). As a surprise, a light breakfast was also served for free in the morning (yogurt, cheese, wrapped pastries, oranges, expresso/capuccino...). Note : the hot tub was closed and it was not clear if it was going to reopen. The sauna and the rooftop terrace were open.

Our suite was very clean with great view of the city. The concierge, Nabil was very welcoming and accommodating. This will be our go-to whenever we visit Montreal. 2nd stay at Boxotel. Unfortunately, it was not as good as last time. Room was clean, hotel was \"fine\" but it has lost its sparkle. Also - the main reason we booked again, the roof top jaccuzi / spa (which is what teuly justifies the price of this place) was not working / \"out of service indefinitely\". This was not communicated to us at any point until we got our bathing suits on and went to the roof and saw the hand written sign. Apparently its been out a few weeks now, so would have been nice to have been informed prior to arrival - as i would have booked another hotel. At almost 300 a night, absolutely not worth it. Otherwise, the place is fine. Staff are doing their best, I know its not their fault. C'est la vie I guess.

About 15min walk after getting off the 747 bus from the airport. Staff only available after 10am. Very minimal service. Must need a passcode to enter. If you want to leave your luggage at the place before 10am, you need to call the number on the door to gain access. The room is equipped with a full kitchen. Hair and 1 bug found on bed sheet. I won't say this is a hotel such the min service. Good complimentary cookies at the counter. There's better ones out there with the price I paid.

I booked this hotel based on all the glowing reviews but was very disappointed.
When I walked into the room the first night, the room smelled like raw sewage and the security latch on the door was broken. It was late so I didn’t call the front desk.
The next morning, I told the concierge that the room smelled like sewage and the security latch was broken. He said he’d send someone up to check on the room and see if he can give me another room if he’s not fully booked after 12 noon. He said if they couldn’t resolve the issue, he’d send me to another hotel.
He added that we were on a very safe neighborhood. I did not feel all that safe.
I spent the entire day exploring the city. He never called. By the time I went back to the hotel, the concierge was gone. They do not have someone at a front desk 24/7 (which is fine) but beware.
So I had to sleep in that same room with the sewage smell.
In my opinion, this hotel is not worth the price. It’s a 2-star hotel at best.

Super cool and high tech hotel. It's amazing to see what exists to make homes and stays smarter for their user. The programmed lights and the automated curtains are the best thing in the room. You have to be very comfortable with the people on your room, the frosted glass is not as opaque as I thought. The room and the hotel are very minimalistic, but they have everything you need to have an amazing stay. I didn't think it would be worth the price, especially during the weekends but it is quite a unique experience, I wouldn't hesitate to come back during weekdays.

Jacuzzi was closed (maybe due to rain or something not sure) so we were a bit disappointed but other than that the spa and sauna was such a fun time. We will 100% be back!

The hotel was impeccably clean and well designed. Most of it is self serve which made it feel like home. The lobby was always fully stocked with snacks and great coffee and espresso, and the manager was always close by if you needed anything.
The rooms had literally everything you need: fully stocked kitchenette, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, pots/pans, washer/dryer, dish-ware, fridge/freezer, ice, you name it.
As a bonus, the entire facility was minimal waste and very eco-conscious.
We can’t wait to come back!

The area has lots to offer within walking distance, without it being loud and bustling, and with 2 metro stations close by it is really accessible to get around the city.
