Room was really cold at first and hardly warmed up for several hours even though we rised the temperature a lot.
Beds were comfy. No soap in bath (only two tiny face soap on counter).
Large room with great size small fridge and kitchen. Great location. .

A stay with some nice features, but unfortunately dominated by maintenance and hygiene issues. Our toilet flooded TWICE due to a faulty balloon valve, spreading sewage water throughout the room and into the hallway. It was extremely unpleasant and not what you expect from a hotel.

The front desk staff and manager were apologetic, but the Sunday night supervisor was dismissive and unhelpful. He could not arrange proper cleaning (did not have key to house keeping cupboard), so I requested another room. We were offered a room treated with an ‘odour’ machine. It smelled strongly of ‘chlorine’ which gave me a headache within minutes. It was clearly unsuitable for an adult or child.

The maintenance team were also apologetic, worked on the issues, and cleaned up as best they could—but plumbing problems continued. Even the new room we were finally moved to had a leaking toilet that had to be removed and repaired before use.

Positives included comfortable beds, a generous breakfast, a good kitchen, and some friendly front desk staff. The manager approved a late checkout, but reception was not informed, and we were phoned at normal checkout to vacate immediately or be charged extra fees, causing more unnecessary stress.

The hotel has potential, but repeated plumbing failures, hygiene issues, and inconsistent handling of guest concerns made this a disappointing stay.

Parked the car underground and took the metro for sightseeing, $25 per night for parking was absolutely worth it. The property is conveniently located minutes away from the metro station. The room was clean, although a bit small. They had turned the air conditioning off as it was winter season, the heat was adequate, but the windows were closed at all times and that humidified the room, making it feel not so fresh. The breakfast had a lot of variety and the staff was courteous and friendly. Minor inconveniences aside, a great place to stay if you’re in Montreal and want to go sightseeing in the Old Port area.

The room was great, we enjoyed our time there. Seems the carpet on the ground floor and in lifts needs to be chnaged as they were smelling bad. The area outside is full of home less. I will give 5 star for the room and break fast. Had to reduce the rating because of external factors. The front desk was great by the way

The A/C and fan did not work, it wouldn’t even turn on! One of the main lights in our room kept flashing on and off very fast so we couldn’t use it, just had to use the lamps. The bathroom mirror had stuff all over it, like it had not been cleaned from the previous user. The staff were friendly but I would not recommend!

The room was clean and spacious, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the complementary breakfast was yummy.
My only warning is about the parking. It was nice that the paid parking was covered (underground), and it was cheaper than other hotels’ parking. But, boy was it tight—even foe my wee Camry. I felt lucky to get in and out unscathed.

Breakfast was very good, standard fare: cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice, croissant. Staff was friendly but they misunderstood when we wanted housekeeping to clean the room and never got to it. Very low key cool hotel though, would stay there again if I ever went back around that way. Reasonable price, nice room. Never seen a hotel room with a kitchenette in it before. That was a fun aspect of staying there, making a meal in the kitchen. Parking was convenient but you have to pay for it which I didn't like. Never stayed at a hotel where you had to pay for parking before.

I have a really nice stay in this hotel. The room was really big, with all the amenities, a little bit old, but well maintained. Nice area, many restaurant option around.
After travelling for few days, they offer the laundry machine and dryer free of charge. That was a plus. Really recommended.

Spacious room and bathroom. The room was equipped with fridge and kitchenette. Comfy beds. Breakfast was ok, just not very glamorous. Location is convenient if you arrive/depart by plane, as the 747 bus stop is just 3 min away. The area is not the best, with many homeless folks, drunk/drugged people around. But we didn’t feel insecure. Walking distance to downtown and to the old port. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They kepy all our luggage before checkin time and hours after checkout time, and they also held an Amazon package for us. Really nice folks!

The hotel is clean, basic, within a couple of blocks to public transportation. No area information is offered to guests but staff is helpful if asked. The rooms are clean, safe and basic. Restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk. Parking is limited, pricey and challenging. The surrounding area is dirty with some construction and there are many homeless people in the area at all hours.

The day included continental breakfast, which was nice. The hotel is in a great neighbourhood as it is walkable and also has a metro station right by the hotel. Only thing I didn’t like was that they never cleaned our room. Like any other hotels, you usually take off the “Do Not Disturb” sign and they will come in to clean your room and replenish towels, however at this hotel, you must provide a verbal request each time you want anything. When we checked in, we were never told about this “request”. Some of the staff were nice but also encountered some rude staff members. I had missed breakfast one morning and asked if I could grab some spreads (jam, butter, cream cheese) so I can use it when I go out to buy my own bagels for breakfast and she had a mean attitude when I asked.

Property was great, great location and very quite area, but very close walkung distance to Old Montreal. Lots of culture in area. Only thing we noted that the TV volume was locked out, but was very low and very hard to hear. We had a kitchenette, very clean and everything was great. All staff were very courteous. I like that the room is large and has a little kitchen area with table and chairs for two and a two-burner hot plate, little fridge, & sink in the kitchen. There's no carpets, it's just tiles in the kitchen area and laminated floor in the rest of the room. There's a desk with a chair and there's two chairs for sitting and watching TV if you could get it to work. There's plenty of windows and lights. I like it, It's just that the area isn't very tourist friendly. There is a park at the end of the street when you exit to your right, but people are hanging around there so that was a little intimidating to me as a solo senior woman. The included breakfast was nice, the croissants were really good.

Checkin/checkout was super quick. The room was exceptionally clean. Bed was super comfortable. Receptionist staff was super friendly. 1 minute walk to Berri UQAM station and downtown. Super close to Saint Catherine street and restaurants. Only bad thing was lots of homeless on the Labelle Street, which didnt feel safe at night. I ran from the metro at night, but other than that, great stay.

I've stayed here several times over the years and keep coming back. Rooms are nice and the price is affordable. The breakfast offerings have been scaled back, but they are more than adequate to get you started in the morning. Bed was comfortable. I had a problem with the coffee maker in the room, and they sent a repairman up quickly and he took care of everything. No complaints at all. Would be glad to have a return visit.

The rooms were clean but outdated, and there were ongoing issues with water drainage. For the price, you’d be better off paying a little more to stay at a nicer property. This location is overpriced for what it offers. When we arrived, there was no parking available, and we were directed to park at the nearby hospital—one of the suggested locations. However, no one there had any idea why we were parking there. The lack of communication was frustrating and unprofessional. The breakfast was included and everyone can find something to eat there.

Initial check-in was a bit slow. We received our room and immediately went to it. Upon walking in, we were hit with a terrible smell! We immediately went back to the desk and and shared this information. Initially, they said that they were going to go and check it out, but we explained regardless of what they did, we were not able to stay in that room. We asked to be moved to another room. They accommodated us, and the next room was 100% better. The bed was very comfortable, the AC was a little loud, but that's okay because we were across from the elevator - one balance the other.
The breakfast the next morning was a very pleasant surprise. Nice offerings, a big change from the usual. Overall, the hotel was very enjoyable and we would come back again.

Highly recommend however make sure to note the low parking garage clearance of 5’8… with even a lowered pickup truck, I wouldn’t fit and drove a few minutes away to îlot voyageur (underground parking with attached police station). The hotel did provide a list of alternative lots, but it was challenging to navigate the area being unfamiliar with where garage entrances are located and many one way streets. I found the ilot by chance and it was secure and cost effective for 48 hours.

La Belle suites is a very basic hotel. The room was large and really as pictured. It's not luxury but very clean. The staff is friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good. They supplied pastries, bread, meat, cheese, eggs, fruit, cereal etc.
It is centrally located. Just around the corner was Rue St. Denis which was a picturesque block of restaurants and bars. I think there were some very upscale restaurants nearby but we weren't in the mood for that.
It was a 15 minute walk to the old city.
Very convenient to transportation to the Circuit Gilles Villes Neuve.
