Love the location of this hotel! A nice walk to Chinatown and old Montreal also close by to an amazing breakfast and lots of coffee places! Staff is amazing they seem super friendly and helpful when we needed more toilet paper. Rooms are clean and very put together! Love how we get a microwave if we want to quickly heat something up. I like how they do breakfast in the hotel however for the life of me I couldn’t wake up early enough for it but I like how they have coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24/7 in the lunch room area. Definitely will be coming back this was my second time and I was the one to recommend it to my friends this time :) thank you for having us see you soon!

Room was dark. Carpet looked dingy and bathroom floor was dirty. Bathroom mirror had several large desilvering spots and room had a lot of old, yellowed caulk. One of the outlets was worn and wouldn't hold the cord. Overall, a very tired and dated room.

The hotel location is great, close to St Catherine St, walking distance to downtown stores. And it’s only 3-4 min walk to IGA in Desjardine Mall. Also it’s walking distance to Old Port Montreal, about 10 min, and walking distance to Metro (5-6 min). Also 1-2 min walk to China town. And about a half block away there is convenient store, 24/7 service. Very convenient location.
The hotel breakfast is really good. The hotel room is very spacious. The staff in the reception/front desk are very kind and helpful. The hotel provide room cleaning service every other day, very efficient and reasonable. We had a great experience, thanks for your great service ! Highly recommended !

Hotel is in a good location for downtown and old Montreal.

The suites were a good size and the beds were comfortable.

For the price we paid we expected more. The hotel was dated, and tired. We were told housekeeping was every 2 days but had to ask for our room to be done on our 3rd day. Breakfast is very basic and extremely busy. There was no crockery in the room (we had a lot kitchenette) and no glasses in the bathroom
Everything is paper, paper plates and wooden cutlery which is extremely poor.

Overall our stay was pleasant but it is not somewhere we would want to spend time in other than to sleep.

Hotel is old and dirty. Rugs had so many stains. Parking was horrible! They say they have parking but we had to park 4 blocks away (in the rain). Not ideal. Hard to find as well. The address was not accurate and had the hotel down and on the other side of the street.

Dated property but large suites, with a full sized fridge, and units are clean enough. This property is situated at a great located with proximity to an IGA grocery store, convenient store, Chinatown, bus stops, Metro station, a shopping mall, and tons of food option within a safe and quiet neighbourhood.

Complimentary breakfast was decent enough and the 24 hours tea and coffee station was a nice touch.

Good value for money if you don't mind staying at a less modern property.

Stayed here with family and overall had a really good experience. The biggest highlight was definitely the location it’s very close to Old Montreal, Chinatown, transit, restaurants, and many tourist attractions, which made getting around super convenient without needing a car.
We stayed in the suite room for 6 occupants and found it spacious enough for our stay. The room was clean overall and the bathroom was decent as well. The front desk staff were helpful throughout the visit, and we also appreciated being able to store our luggage after checkout.

Breakfast was fairly standard, but one thing that could definitely be improved is separating the bacon farther from the eggs and hash browns since people were using the same utensils between items. Also, the breakfast area chairs are extremely loud when moved. One downside was the shower water pressure the water flow was very slow and there wasn’t much water coming out, which made showering less comfortable and time consuming.
Overall, a solid stay with a great central location and very helpful staff. I would consider staying again when visiting Montreal.

Breakfast needs more variation, eggs and meat are too processed, fruits are good and fresh. More flavor of oatmeal should be proposed. The metal chairs in the breakfast room are too loud when some clients care less. The wallways can be loud when school group show up. There should an noise isolation basket at the bottom of the entry door. The bedding are super comfortable, the rooms are clean. They should be some paper plates and wood cutleries ready in the kitchen. The staff is really courteous, Adam was great, the parking is convenient, great location for Chinatown and place des Arts

Staff was very friendly and everything overall went smoothly. The room itself though… let’s just say the carpets and décor have definitely seen a few business trips of their own and could use a little TLC 😉.

That said, for a one-night business stay, it did the job perfectly fine. Would I stay for a full week? Maybe if the price was really good. But I’m pretty sure my wife would start questioning my vacation-planning skills if I booked this for a week-long getaway 😅

While the room was certainly on the affordable side and the breakfast was wonderful, my room was in desperate of upkeep. In the bathroom, there was mildew where the floor meets the wall and lots of stains on the walls. Some bleach and a lick of paint would go a long way. Likewise the carpet was worn/drab in the living space.

Great hotel, great location- as ive stated in my previous reviews hotel faubourg is my favorite hotel to stay at when visiting montreal. I have stayed here 3 times over the past 14 months and many times in previous years and when i return back to montreal i hope i can stay here again if its available.

Overall, my stay was okay, and the staff were generally pleasant. I also wanted to mention that having breakfast included each morning was a really nice touch. It was convenient to have that available on site, and I appreciated that part of the experience.

However, the cleanliness and condition of the room were below what I expected. The room was quite dusty, and the carpets and couch felt worn and not particularly clean. It gave the impression that the space could benefit from a proper deep clean. If there are renovated rooms available, it would also be helpful to clearly identify those, as I believed I had booked one and was surprised by the condition of the room.

I also attempted to use the bathtub during my stay, but there was no way to keep the water in the tub, which made it unusable. That was disappointing, as it’s a basic feature guests reasonably expect.

One other observation: while I was working in the main lobby, the cleaning staff were clearing tables and chairs, and the noise from chairs being dragged across the tile floor was extremely loud and went on for quite some time. I understand the staff are busy, but it was disruptive enough that I had to leave the area.

I’m sharing this feedback in the spirit of helping improve the guest experience, as the hotel has a lot of potential.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was good for the price you pay. I only docked a star because on one of our nights there, there was a fire alarm at 4 am. It was a false alarm, but there was no announcement that it was false (so everyone had to shuffle outside at 4 am to learn that it was false, including the elderly and those with young children), and there was no apology/acknowledgment the next day.

J’ai été impressionné par cet hôtel que je n’avais jamais essayé malgré mes nombreux séjours à Montréal. L’employée de la réception était des plus accueillantes et très professionnelle. Ont nous a accueilli à la dernière minute alors que nous avions eu des enjeux de réservation dans un autre hôtel. La chambre était propre et tranquille. Cuisinette très pratique avec frigo pleine grandeur et micro-ondes. Beau déjeuner offert gratuitement le matin. Prix plus qu’abordable! I stayed 2 nights in a Larger Than Life Size Hotel Room in a Studio Style with ACTUAL 2 queen sized beds and came with a Kitchenette. It actually has a full 6 feet tall refrigerator, a real microwave, a Brand Name Coffee / Espresso Maker and a dish sink. I have never never had in my life booked a Hotel like this type of Condominium Hotel Room before ever. I am very skeptical and undoubt myself if I booked the right hotel. I always booked a hotel with the beds and the bathroom ; that's it. Hotel Faubourg Montreal is ACTUALLY very clean. My room that I have chosen and booked was a Studio, 2 Queen Beds, Kitchenette. The room does NOT have an odor smell and it actually smells fresh and normal. The bathroom is considered so clean and so so many towels provided. Small facial towels, medium towels and the big shower towels. I am very surprised and very pleased. The receptionist puted me in a room viewing and facing Montreal Downtown Skyline with direct looking at The Complexe Desjardins Mall which I really wished for. I also very very lucky that I have met the General Manager of Hotel Faubourg Montreal on the next morning. I actually don't have any money to buy the Charger for my NEW cellphone. In my Wild guess, I asked the young man Receptionist at the Front Desk to borrow a charger to charge my cellphone battery temporarily until they are full. He happens to be the General Manager that morning. He is very helpful and very wise. The Breakfast is Very Superb.

The kitchenette is only a fridge and microwave. Not cutlery, plates, cups or anything g included. I had to ask or proved my own. Every other day housekeeping.

It was ok. Staff were friendly and always present. It’s very dated and could do with a refurb in general. The room was huge with a kitchenette but poorly lit in areas. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. I wasn’t keen to sit on the sofa because it was old and stained. The location is great for the price. Breakfast was as expected for a North American hotel in this price bracket - disposable plates and mostly beige food but a couple of fruit and yoghurt options and boiled eggs, but it tasted nice. Brewed coffee was good. The issue with breakfast is the area is quite small for the size of the hotel. There were a lot of sports and school groups staying, they all show up at the same time and then linger for a while after finishing to chat. It’s nice for them to socialise but it means there’s nowhere to sit for breakfast and a lot of guests have to take food to their rooms. There is also a very noisy and busy road at the front, ear plugs mandatory.

The location's accessibility was satisfactory given the circumstances. However, the cleanliness fell short of expectations, particularly in the washroom, which required additional attention. Upon request, I had specifically asked for a room with a pleasant view and proximity to the elevator, but instead, we were assigned a room overlooking the dumpster. Given the likelihood of a packed weekend, a courtesy notification would have been appreciated rather than a blanket confirmation. Unfortunately, the elevator's age was evident, and its breakdown during our stay further exacerbated the inconvenience, necessitating a 30-step from our room to the functioning one. While our experience was disappointing, it served as a valuable lesson. With some improvements, the establishment could enhance its overall quality.

It was a great room, with friendly service and breakfast included is a bonus. My only complaint is that when I checked in to my room, the bedroom mirror & the bathroom mirror were not clean. There was toothpaste spatter, water spatter etc. from the guests that had the room before I did. I stayed from Wednesday to Sunday & housekeeping did not clean the mirrors the entire time I was there. I took water & toilet paper to clean the one in the bathroom myself. Other than not cleaning the mirrors, as the one in the bedroom was covered in dust as well, everything else was great. Good location for the Convention Centre and Chinatown.

There were no wash cloths in the room or even when I asked at the front desk. I was told there were no cloths to be found in the hotel. There was no place to plug my phone in next to the bed so I had to pull the bed out from the wall - very dirty back there. The lights were so dim I could barely see after dark. Only one dim lamp near the bed. The bathroom was in old rough shape, shower sprayed out all over. Had to use a hand towel to wash in the shower because there was only liquid soap and no wash cloths. Generally the room felt old and tired and not sound proof. Was awake all night with the sound of sirens. Breakfast was ok.
