I stayed 2 nights in a Larger Than Life Size Hotel Room in a Studio Style with ACTUAL 2 queen sized beds and came with a Kitchenette. It actually has a full 6 feet tall refrigerator, a real microwave, a Brand Name Coffee / Espresso Maker and a dish sink. I have never never had in my life booked a Hotel like this type of Condominium Hotel Room before ever. I am very skeptical and undoubt myself if I booked the right hotel. I always booked a hotel with the beds and the bathroom ; that's it. Hotel Faubourg Montreal is ACTUALLY very clean. My room that I have chosen and booked was a Studio, 2 Queen Beds, Kitchenette. The room does NOT have an odor smell and it actually smells fresh and normal. The bathroom is considered so clean and so so many towels provided. Small facial towels, medium towels and the big shower towels. I am very surprised and very pleased. The receptionist puted me in a room viewing and facing Montreal Downtown Skyline with direct looking at The Complexe Desjardins Mall which I really wished for. I also very very lucky that I have met the General Manager of Hotel Faubourg Montreal on the next morning. I actually don't have any money to buy the Charger for my NEW cellphone. In my Wild guess, I asked the young man Receptionist at the Front Desk to borrow a charger to charge my cellphone battery temporarily until they are full. He happens to be the General Manager that morning. He is very helpful and very wise. The Breakfast is Very Superb.

Staff were kind enough. Everything else was a mess. Parking not included, everything was broken… including the elevator, faucet handles, and the ac unit. The kitchenette is only a fridge and microwave. Not cutlery, plates, cups or anything g included. I had to ask or proved my own. Every other day housekeeping.

It was ok. Staff were friendly and always present. It’s very dated and could do with a refurb in general. The room was huge with a kitchenette but poorly lit in areas. The shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. I wasn’t keen to sit on the sofa because it was old and stained. The location is great for the price. Breakfast was as expected for a North American hotel in this price bracket - disposable plates and mostly beige food but a couple of fruit and yoghurt options and boiled eggs, but it tasted nice. Brewed coffee was good. The issue with breakfast is the area is quite small for the size of the hotel. There were a lot of sports and school groups staying, they all show up at the same time and then linger for a while after finishing to chat. It’s nice for them to socialise but it means there’s nowhere to sit for breakfast and a lot of guests have to take food to their rooms. There is also a very noisy and busy road at the front, ear plugs mandatory.

The location's accessibility was satisfactory given the circumstances. However, the cleanliness fell short of expectations, particularly in the washroom, which required additional attention. Upon request, I had specifically asked for a room with a pleasant view and proximity to the elevator, but instead, we were assigned a room overlooking the dumpster. Given the likelihood of a packed weekend, a courtesy notification would have been appreciated rather than a blanket confirmation. Unfortunately, the elevator's age was evident, and its breakdown during our stay further exacerbated the inconvenience, necessitating a 30-step from our room to the functioning one. While our experience was disappointing, it served as a valuable lesson. With some improvements, the establishment could enhance its overall quality.

It was a great room, with friendly service and breakfast included is a bonus. My only complaint is that when I checked in to my room, the bedroom mirror & the bathroom mirror were not clean. There was toothpaste spatter, water spatter etc. from the guests that had the room before I did. I stayed from Wednesday to Sunday & housekeeping did not clean the mirrors the entire time I was there. I took water & toilet paper to clean the one in the bathroom myself. Other than not cleaning the mirrors, as the one in the bedroom was covered in dust as well, everything else was great. Good location for the Convention Centre and Chinatown.

There were no wash cloths in the room or even when I asked at the front desk. I was told there were no cloths to be found in the hotel. There was no place to plug my phone in next to the bed so I had to pull the bed out from the wall - very dirty back there. The lights were so dim I could barely see after dark. Only one dim lamp near the bed. The bathroom was in old rough shape, shower sprayed out all over. Had to use a hand towel to wash in the shower because there was only liquid soap and no wash cloths. Generally the room felt old and tired and not sound proof. Was awake all night with the sound of sirens. Breakfast was ok.

After using a shower for 5 minutes, the hot water discontinued. \"Just wait for half an hour. It is an old building.\" is not what anyone would expect from a hotel no matter how cheap the price is. Offering to switch the room but letting them know \"the same problem might occur.\" does not help either. If it is an old building so the guests should expect this problem, you must let them know BEFORE they proceed booking, not AFTER suffering from ice cold shower with shampoo all over the hair and face.
It is the common sense.

Hotel was a welcome sight after a long day on Via Rail. It's an excellent location a few blocks away from Gare Centrale Via. Took me about 15 minutes to walk down the main boulevard. Hotel was busy with teams but they were no trouble other than breakfast being crazy busy at first light. Very good value here and my stay was very comfortable. Maintenance was quick to respond to an issue in the room. Reception staff were very friendly and everyone speaks English as well for those of us who are not very fluent in the local tongue. I hope to get back here again soon.

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel. The room felt unclean from the moment we arrived. We found what appeared to be bed mites in the bed, and we were itching throughout the night. The carpet had visible stains, and the towels did not look properly washed. The room was also cold, and the bedding did not feel fresh. The bathroom was not well maintained — the shower wasn’t working properly, and the toiletries provided were very poor quality and did not provide enough.

The only positive part of the stay was the breakfast which included eggs, yogurt, bread, tea, coffee and fruits. The staff were friendly, but the service was inconsistent.

The pictures do not reflect what the hotel really looks like. Breakfast. Not many options. As far as Hotmail de serve bacon only on Tuesdays?? the towels had some yellow stain, which I don’t know what it was but it was a put off, but they were clean stained towels. Customer service. Not very friendly. I found. Overall going back. I would definitely try a different hotel.

Front desk was intentionally reluctant to provide some basic service. I found that disappointing because I've stayed there several times in winter 25/26 and I found this hotel quite good. I won't go into details but just ask staff to step it up DO THE JOB properly.

I had a Queen suite with balcony. It was nice having a separate bedroom and kitchenette.There was no stove but there was a large refrigerator and a microwave, and a Keurig for fresh coffee and tea every day. Room service was excellent. The place was vacuumed and the floors mopped every other day and the bed was changed frequently. Fresh towels were available daily. The hotel also has a hot and cold buffet breakfast with everything you could want...scrambled eggs, sausage, potato patty, three types of cereals, yogurt, waffles, bagels, fruit salad, fruit.

It is walking distance to the Old Montreal and China Town, Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, Place Jacques-Cartier etc. The complimentary breakfast has a variety choices. Overall, this is not an excellent hotel but it is not bad when compare to the price and location.

This hotel is perfect location if you’re attending a concert at MTELUS, 5 mins walk. Nice mall within also 7 mins walk.
Was pleased with the room that included with fridge and microwave. Breakfast was ok. Like that I was able to get a hot tea after hours.
Very disappointed, the reception not able to extend my check out time by 2 hours due to my flight time. Oh well.

The room lacked adequate lighting and the bedroom was dark with only a dim light on the nightstand.
The kitchenette didn’t have any glasses, paper only and when I asked the front desk, they had none available.
What they consider a queen is in fact a double bed. And lastly the room smelled. I don’t know what kind of cleaning products they use but it wasn’t pleasant. We opened the window to air it out. We won’t book there again.

Older hotel that is well looked after. It could use a refresh. Staff are excellent. A free breakfast which was very good. Security is done well, and they have underground parking for a daily fee. Just off the beaten path but close enough for walking distance to many attractions. Expedia's price was fantastic. Our room was clean, (again) outdated, with a kitchen which was nice. No cutlery or dishes provided, but a Keurig coffee maker is available. Room was relatively quiet overlooking the courtyard. If you like watching tv, the Channel selection was cumbersome with few selections.
Otherwise it was a good bang for the buck ,🙂.

Check-in, front desk service, and the complimentary breakfast were all excellent. However, I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was a significant amount of hair from a previous guest left on the bathroom walls, and from that moment on, it made me question the overall cleanliness of the room. That said, the staff were very friendly, and the hotel’s location was convenient.

Very dated property and very dark.There was no point of having a full kitchen when there was nothing in it to be used. You will have to bring all your own utensils for use. Value for money was great because of the space. The breakfast was great and included in the cost of your stay. Hotel staff were friendly.

Our room did run out of body wash and hand soap. We called down to reception three times and still didn’t get a refill. We eventually had to go down ourselves to get some. They said there was no more body wash left and gave us some hand soap.

Check-in process was absolutely horrible. The reception who was checking us in was very unfriendly and rude. We had a parking credit from Hotels.com as part of being silver tier members but he would not honour it at first. Kept saying it was not specific to our account even though I showed him our Hotels.com account where it clearly stated our tier and the parking benefit. He eventually begrudgingly gave us the credit and retorted, “ok whatever you say”. Very condescending and inhospitable. It was probably the worst check-in experience we’ve had in a long, long time.

What an amazing stay in the heart of downtown, great spacious suite with ample space met all my travel needs. The breakfast daily was great as well, I will suggest more meat options like bacon, otherwise, had lots of protein options as well. This hotel is close to the best of what Montreal has to offer. Get a transit pass for however long you’ll be there! Super excited I decided to not pay close attention to some of the not so great reviews. Lovely stay!!!

Disappointed - wouldn’t stay here again. The front desk staff was lovely but the rooms are old and shabby. Terrible smell in the hallway of the third floor. Free breakfast and onsite parking was a plus and the beds were clean and comfortable. But if I need to come to town again I will find another hotel.
