Like: Close to great public transportation, restaurants, & pubs. This area seems to be dedicated to the \"business traveler\", however Leman Locke is for short term rentals, & not a hotel at all. I'm not sure why it is on Expedia.

We had a lovely time. Great location, amazing size of suite and everything you could need. The only negative was that there was a smell of damp on the the bedding and some towels. Lovely staff, both at reception and in the cafe. Would definitely come again and recommend to others.

I’m indeed VERY disappointed with my choice of booking this place for my very first 4 nights in UK and I can’t tell how much I regret that I actually paid 1.2k CAD for enjoying nothing in here.The only positive side is maybe the location. Other than that, save your money and go with other places. 1)The room wasn’t propyerly cleaned and it’s disgusting to see those dirt and stains on the coach(I couldn’t even look at it during my stay)! it is unbelievably disrespectful and unethical of them to offer the customers with such poor conditions of staying 2)The ventilation in the room is very loud as confirmed in some other people’s reviews 3)The sink in the bathroom is obviously clogged as the water runs very slow. The glass-door of the bathroom does not close properly, so the water easily leaks out, and they just put a towel there as a solution. 4) Even some lights in the room don’t work properly! 5) Don’t expect items such as hair dryer to be provided in the bathroom. 6) they don’t provide room cleaning services unless you’re staying for a week or longer. 7) No phone in the room, that means if you want to talk to front desk, you either have to make international call using your own phone (and they never answer your calls) or you just have to go downstairs. Finally, I must say this to whoever the owner of this place is- BE MORAL IN YOUR BUSINESS! Instead of improving the quality of the business, I see you have been denying people’s true review of their stays. Unbelievable！

Nice clean, large room, with kitchen and dining table. Noisy water pipes which screetch in the morning when other hotel occupants get up. Reception desk crowded and long waits to speak to staff. Lift out of order - long 15 min waits for upper floors (not great if you are on the 12th floor!) . Small coffee/cafe area as a breakfast option. Not great if you have allergies or children as there are no nut free options and limited seating. Also note the 3pm check in time which is quite late, the positive to this is the later 12pm check out time.

Leman Locke is a great place to stay in London - the staff are wonderful, the units are comfortable and well maintained, and it is just a short walk to the Aldgate and Aldgate East tube stations. I have stayed there many times and I highly recommend it.

Amenities were not as advertised. Minimal utensils, towels, no coffee pot, only 1 of. 2 elevators worked, the one that did only picked on way up, not down. No operating instructions for appliances. Much more, this is enough to make a recommendation not to go here.

Location is superb, bus and tube stations are right at corner, quite a few good restaurants near by. Very close to Tower Bridge and Liverpool St station. Although it is located in a central location but on a quiet street with nice view if you book a sky level. Unit is super spacious with over 320 sqft size, fully equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and an oven! Bathroom is spacious as well with a large shower. Staffs are very friendly and helpful as well! Nothing else to complain about except couldn’t get a view of the Tower Bridge.:)

Calme. Belle vue. Excellent café le matin.
3 points négatifs: odeur d’égouts très désagréable provenant des tuyaux dans la salle de bain, même au 22e étage. Nous devions garder la porte fermée en tout temps.
Aucun ménage ni changement de serviettes durant les 6 jours où nous avons été là. Personnel à la réception très peu avenant.
Durant tout notre séjour, 1 seul des 2 ascenseurs fonctionnait pour 22 étages. Beaucoup d’attente.

Very pleasant. Rooms were big compared to other London hotel rooms. Complete with all amenities. Especially loved having the washer/dryer all in one in the room. Just enough cooking pots/pans and dinnerware. Beds were comfortable and bath towels were fluffy. The view was inspiring each morning and the black out curtains well appreciated. Staff was extremely friendly.

So close to being excellent, but a few misses that could easily be improved to make this place great.

There was an issue with my room at check in (given the wrong room type) and it was far too painful to get a resolution. Rather than just check and make the change, the staff member wanted me to prove the room type I had booked - which meant going through my emails from some time ago when I booked. Eventually that was resolved, but not a great start to the stay.

Next was the lack of lifts. For a property that is 22 floors high there was only one working lift for the while property. I was there for over a week, and the same sign remained on the broken lift the entire time. It seems unlikely that it'd be difficult to get a lift repaired in less than a week? Seems a small thing, but when you consider the entire 22 floor property is using one small lift, you realise how much time this takes out of your day, especially when coming and going at peak times.

Overall the rooms were nice and the property is well located. I'd probably try it again for a shorter because it has huge potentially be excellent with a few minor tweaks and repairs.

After getting almost fobbed off with the wrong apartment, the one I actually booked for was great. Lovely views across the city. There was a washing machine but we didnt use it. Kitchen was good though needs containers to cook in microwave. Very spacious and comfortable. We would definately stay again if the prices were more reasonable. £270 for 1 night is extortionate. It was a last minute urgent booking by us so little choice. But I wouldn't pay that for here again.

Only one 15-passenger lift worked, a stained couch, broken air conditioning, hair and soap scum in the tub, a slow-draining sink and tub, and broken housekeeping promises garner this hotel a negative rating. They moved our room for the second night. The lift remained broken, leaving only one 15-person lift available, with no promised-to-be-fixed-by date. We ended up walking up 16 flights of stairs because the line for the working lift reached outside the lobby. Hotels.com tried to contact the hotel, but the front desk refused to pick up the phone. We checked out on the third night. Terrible. Do Not Stay.

Lovely room, great views over south London. Beds are comfy, our child was delighted with how comfy her fold up bed was. Breakfast cafe was also good and very convenient in the morning.

Our room was at 25c (in early spring) when we came into the room and the aircon took over 12 hours to bring it back down to a more comfortable 22 degrees. It didn't show and signs of going lower, as the air coming in wasn't cold. Staff weren't concerned enough to offer to move rooms but we were advised to turn it off and see what happened. No maintenance available at 5pm Friday. when we checked in and reported it.
Also 1 of 2 lifts was out of order for our two night stay, so it took a long time to get in and out of the building.

The studio was lovely! Bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious. The staff at check in were very friendly and they let you store luggage upon check out for free.

It would have been even better if the shower temperature was hotter and if both lifts were in operation as sometimes it did take a while for the one working to get to your floor.

We arrived late only to find the room we were given had a dirty toilet seat !!! YUCK!!! We rented a room for three people, what we had in the kitchen was 2 forks, two spoons and two knifes. The kitchen contained no towels and not even some paper packages of salt and pepper. Do they really expect you to buy these things for a 3 day stay? Contrary to what is listed, there in no coffee maker, just a kettle for heating hot water. The staff were super, but the housekeeping sucked. The couch in the first room was covered in stains. There is no daily housekeeping you find out upon arrival. The location is great with the underground and busses very close, but until the management decides to take the steps needed to make the place a bit more presentable I wouldn't book it again.

The room at sky level was ok. Had an issue with the toilet running that took a few hrs to get sorted. Only one working elevator so you know it can get impossible to use at certain hrs of the day. No landlines in the room, at reception to use when I had an issue with my credit card (and needed to call my card company - had to go to another hotel to do this).

However, the cafe staff is super friendly and the location is excellent - you’re literally steps from the Aldgate East subway station. Overall a decent place but def need to train some staff members, particularly the overnight crew - they’re largely clueless.

Great location to stay, well located to the tube system, but make sure the elevators are working! My room was a one bedroom suite withe a very helpful kitchen with modern fridge freezer and full cooking facilities, Dishwasher and laundry washer/dryer which allowed me to cook my own breakfasts before heading out. Bathroom was spacious although under supplied with towelling but extras were available from reception. No face washer cloths - staff told me management refuse to supply them. No tissues in the bathroom. Room was clean. Bedding was great. Elevators in the building are a major issue. One of the two was out all 8 days of my stay leading to a line of people waiting for the only one working and frustrating waits at any given time. One morning both elevators were out - not great when you're on the 14th floor.

I feel like this hotel has the potential to be lovely but let itself down in the lack of attention to details. If they put as much effort into the customer experience as they did into the slick website and promotional photos it could be really nice.

We stayed in a studio and it was average but nothing special. There was a concrete pillar separating the living area and sleeping area but because of still trying to squeeze a corner sofa in there was a very small gap between sofa and wall to squeeze through to get to the sleeping area. This made it a bit hazardous going to the bathroom in the night.

The top shelf in the sleeping area for storing clothes, etc. was very dusty. And, only a small thing but the rug was too big for the space.

We were only provided with 1 bath towel and half a toilet roll between the 2 of us. When I contacted reception in the morning to ask for more I was told housekeeping weren't in until 10am (check out was at 11am). I was told if I needed them before then I could go down to reception to get some.

We had also had issues contacting the hotel in advance of our stay to arrange early check-in (which is abailable for an extra £30) as nobody ever answered the phone and emails went unanswered also.

And another irritant, it was a 22-storey building with only 1 smalle (and very slow) working lift, which made just getting up to our room a faff!

Overall, it didn't feel great value for money and I wouldn't stay again.

Booked a sky suite that stated sleeps 3.

When I checked in after 4pm as this is the check in time , which I find very late for a 1 night stay and got to my room it had one double bed only.

I asked if there was a separate sofa bed for my Daughter and they said No this needs to be requested prior to arrival.

I said why when the room is advertised as sleeping 3. Reception explained that it only has 1 double bed. They said I had to put 3 people on my booking, however there was only ever 2 people staying we just needed separate beds.

They had no way of arranging a sofa bed at 5.30pm as all the staff had finished for the day.

I found the reception unhelpful and they didn’t want to provide a solution to the problem.

Clearer room descriptions are required to avoid this happening again.

I wont stay here again as there is so many other options around the area they have separate sofa beds as standard in rooms that advertise as sleeps 3.

TL;DR: My third stay here, and the last. The room was filthy, the bathroom smelled of sewage, and the bedding smelled of urine. The front desk promised to fix it but did nothing until the next day. Avoid.

The Full Review:
I have stayed at Leman Locke London three times, but the decline in standards is shocking. This room was not \"move-in ready\" by any definition:
• Sanitation: The bathroom had a foul sewer smell when closed, which actually imprinted onto the towels. The blanket and pillows smelled of urine.
• Cleanliness: I found stray hairs and cookie crumbs on the floor upon arrival.
• Missing Essentials: No bath towels (only one mid-size and a mat), no hand soap (dispenser was empty), and zero kitchen supplies like dish soap or sponges.

The Service Failure:
The worst part was the staff's response. I reported these issues immediately and was promised a cleaning that same day. That promise was ignored. I was left in a filthy, foul-smelling room until the day after my arrival. The front desk was inadequate and indifferent.

This hotel is located 200m South of Aldgate East tube station, the entrance is either through the coffee shop or around the back. Check in was efficient, but an addional card authority was requested.
We were given top story room as I requested. The room was clean and spacious, with an excellen view of the city ; it had a kitchenette with wash machine, dish washer and fridge. The shower was powerful and hot, the amenites all worked.
Monor points were the bed mattress was dish shaped and probably needs to be replaced , and only one towel provided. We paid £140 for the room. Other than that, I would highly recommend the room and hotel and would score it as a mid range 4 star hotel.

The room was sizeable and very clean with all the amenities that you need for a stay. The staff are very welcoming and quick to resolve any issues that came up. The only drawback was that our bed seemed to dip in the middle so we didn’t get the best night sleep. But it is in a well connected location, close to key central landmarks and I would stay there again.

The room needs some updates. It is smaller than other apartment we stayed before. Our biggest complain was it seemed lack of care and attention to details. For example, there was no kettle when we checked in, missing fork and spoon. The ranger is so slow which makes it almost impossible to cook. But that was one of the main reason for family like us to book an apartment instead of hotel room.
Staffs are nice and helpful. Location is also convenience.

The drains in the toilet were disgusting… reported … tole maintenance would sort next day… never came

On arrival the self check in was quick and convenient. We went to the room, on first glance we’re nice rooms and kitchen studio room. On inspection the bathroom mirror was grossly dirty with splash stains , the hallway mirror was dirty and there where what looked like blood spots dotted throughout the kitchen floor. I had to call staff to show them, they cleaned the room when we were out. The shower room had a wet room and all the water from the shower went into the bedroom under the door and caused a flooding in the room. Not designed well at all.. i had to request towels to mop up all the escaped water.

Laundry was convenient but us foreigners may find UK appliances a mystery to use. Ambulance and police sirens throughout the night were a problem. Next time we’ll stay in a quieter neighborhood.

All good. Nice to have all facilities although I didn’t actually need them! A bit bare but lots of space (again not needed but nice). Just why is there never enough light in hotel rooms?! Drives me mad.
