The pool was amazing, but the rooftop hottub was not hot, it was just another small pool. the Staff was amazing and took care of us from the start :). the breakfast was basic but good enough for being included. I would recommend for the aesthetics more than anything, I wasnt a fan of the room floorplan.

But the best part is the food go eat at the restaurant La Candelaria we went the first times to some of the renowned restaurants of Cartagena and yes they were good but La Candelaria is Excellent you will love every single bite plus you will have true Colombian cuisine

I cannot say enough about how much I love this hotel. When we asked to upgrade to a larger room, the front desk made it happen in the middle of the night without hesitation. The property is absolutely beautiful, and everyone was extremely kind and accommodating. John who is at the front desk was exceptional and desreves a promotion.

The only issue I'd mention is a design flaw with the showers. The shower floor isn't properly sloped, which means if someone accidentally leaves the drain closed, the bathroom can flood. This nearly happened to us, but thankfully my husband caught it in time. I've stayed at other Faranda hotels and noticed this is a recurring problem. This isn't the staff's fault—it's a construction issue that should have been addressed during the building phase.

Despite this minor design flaw, I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and stunning property.

We loved our stay here! The staff was wonderful! Our room was clean and nice sized. The included breakfast every morning had a great selection including made to order eggs or omelets. And the location was perfect, right within the hotel walled city. We were able to walk all around to many great restaurants and lots of great shopping! The hotel itself is beautifully decorated. 2 small pools which were great for cooling off in. I can’t wait to stay here again!

My absolute favorite hotel to stay in Cartagena, or anywhere! This place has it all: 2 pools, delicious breakfast, fabulous architecture, squeaky clean, excellent location. Pero, what makes it the BEST is the wonderful staff that always make me feel like family. They are the real reason I enjoy my stays there, and they are the reason I will continue to come back “home” to La Factoría.

Location is good however our sink in room 402 was leaking after 4 reports and fixes it still leaked. No elevator and 4th floor walkup. Cooler in the room also did not worked and never got fixed or replaced. On last day we did not have a water either. For 4 star hotel, there are too many problems.

This Charming Boutique Hotel was the perfect oasis for our stay. The vibes were immaculate! The staff is sweet and accommodating. Excellent hotel, the price is reasonable, rooms are clean and a little bit small but you can’t get better considering you’re in the walled city . Shopping and restaurants around in walking distance. Breakfast is decent , the food in the restaurant hotel has nothing special. Do not expect good amenities at the hotel , pool on first floor is more decorative and upstairs is small . The best thing about this hotel is THE STAFF and Location. Btw the plush teddy bear they put in your bed is not a gift . They charged me after my kids took it 150.000 cop each ( we thought was a gift as in others hotels and also didn’t have a tag or sign with the price )

I am a solo traveller and found the hotel excllent they help me book a taxi which was great as arrived after a long flight from Europe. The room was small but perfect for one and cool in the heat. The breakfast was excellent as well as the small bar. I felt safe and comfortable and enjoyed the roof top pool and loungers. Would highly recomend.

This was a nice and cute hotel within the walled city. Very beautifully decorated and extremely close to everything within the walled city so definitely convenient. The negative here is on the room size - we had a normal sized room on the 3rd floor and the room is quite small. The washroom also feels like it’s part of the room as there’s no separating room for the washroom, more like a stall built in to one side with a toilet in it and another stall built into the next corner with a shower in it. I didn’t find that to be a very pleasant experience as it was all too close to the bed etc. not sure I’d return to the same hotel based on that. The breakfast was simple and decent. You can ask for eggs any way you like in the morning so that was nice.

Staff is helpful and doing their best despite that not everyone is english speaking. Just be polite and don't forget to tip. (Just don't expect any Emirates or USA luxury). Lovely boutique hotel located in unique building with main pool on the main floor and little jacuzzi pool on rooftop with sunbeds, sauna and spa. Take in count to climb some stairways ups and downs (No elevator!). Except small list of imperfections here and there, like long waiting for hot water in the shower, shower door not closed tightly with leaking water :) and few facilities need small upgrades around the hotel is nice and good enough for pleasant stay. Leave AC working on, 23-25c to take away high humidity in your room. Breakfast buffet is lovely with fresh prepared eggs and pastry. Be careful of Bocagrande beach area overloaded with scammers (don't order anything without seeing real menu in front of you!). After all, We would definitely recommend this hotel to stay in Cartagena. Awesome location and close to everything. Special thanks also to Kevin at Reception, for all tips / advices and welcoming us so nicely.

The property’s infrastructure was overall nice, the only amenity that didn’t look like the pictures was the jacuzzi, it was super small it could barely fit two people, it also can’t be considered a jacuzzi because the water wasn’t even hot, it was just cold water with bubbles, the overall state was deplorable. In the room you’re able to hear everything that is going on outside, it has no noise cancellation whatsoever. I also had a massage session which was supposed to be a relaxing massage but it ended up being more like an esthetic massage, I have never felt worse in a massage in my whole life. The people who work here weren’t attentive or nice to you as soon as they notice that you’re not a foreigner, the whole time I was there the service was bad, I used the restaurant and they would never want to bring me coffee or take my order and once they did it would take them a long time to bring it even though I was the only person there l. It is such a shame that such a beautiful place has people like that working, I went on this vacation to have a nice time and relax and I ended up feeling even worse than at the beginning of the vacation. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

I totally recommend this hotel! It's just like the pictures. We stayed for four days last week, and it really exceeded my expectations. The staff, especially Brian and Jose, were outstanding, and the restaurant was fantastic. The hotel itself was beautiful, the room was very clean, and the AC worked perfectly. The food at the bar was excellent, and the included breakfast was amazing! They had fresh ingredients for making omelets, a variety of breads both savory and sweet, delicious local dishes, juices, yogurt—it was all fantastic!

Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit the rooftop terrace with the spa and jacuzzi, but we did enjoy the pool and the underground jacuzzi, which were both nice. The location was perfect—just a couple of blocks from La Plaza de Santo Domingo, close to everything, yet on a very quiet street. I can't wait to come back!

This hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooms are gorgeous and the air conditioning is very strong. The lobby, pool, restaurant and even the rooftop are very romantic and beautifully designed. We loved that it felt like we were staying in a historic building. The location of this hotel is on a quieter street but it is close to absolutely everything. We didn’t have to get a taxi or Uber once during our stay. The only thing I didn’t really like about the hotel was the vibes from the staff. We didn’t feel super welcomed by the front desk and felt inconvenient asking anything of them. Our Spanish isn’t very good so we know it was difficult to connect with us but it didn’t feel like they wanted to try. The only exception for this was the amazing woman who ran the breakfast in the morning. We didn’t get her name but she was fantastic. The food at the breakfast alone is a reason we’d come back. There was lots of choice and it was delicious. We didn’t try out the restaurant at this hotel because it was quite expensive. We got two drinks at the Pink Dolphin bar (piña colada and a margarita) and it was $43 Canadian. There are tons of more reasonably priced options close to the hotel though. I think the prices are why the bar are restaurant were empty the whole time we stayed there.
Despite this we would definitely go back, it was a beautiful place to stay.

The hotel staff was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The property was clean and well-maintained. The location is great, within walking distance to the best restaurants and tourist attractions. However, the bathroom could use more privacy, as it lacked sufficient separation from the rest of the room.

Our room was quite noisy early in the day because it was located near the pantry. The sound of breakfast preparations started early, and the smell of food permeated the room each morning, which was a bit disruptive.

No elevator to our room on the 3rd floor.The night before we checked out we asked the desk to run our charges since we should have had none.The desk person agreed no open charges .On the way out in the morning a different desk person wanted another 34000 Colombian Pesos for the mini bar.Finally, he agreed it was a mistake. The breakfast was so so.The service was so so. We had come from Medellin which is more classy, sophisticated & international.The hotel itself if you like old nostalgic, historic structures & decorations is for you.Two days in the old city is enough. Stay at Boca Grande, its like Miami Beach. More modern. Take taxis to the old city.Some great restaurants in the old city near the hotel. Two people can eat with a drink for $55 / $60 American dollars

Ideally located within the walled city with access to most of the tourist entertainment in Cartagena. A quick Uber ride away from Boca Grande and other beaches if desired. Staff at the property is very nice, the property itself is very beautiful. Bedroom lighting was poor, rooftop pool can use some updating but nice to have. A bit disappointed with the staff not being able to accommodate my pregnant wife. We had to walk up 4 flights of stairs in extreme Cartagena heat every time we left the property. Included breakfast was really good. We are satisfied with our experience overall.

The hotel is spectacular, the amenities are plenty and beautifully decorated. The breakfast every day was delicious and the food/bar options great. The staff was very helpful and nice. The location is also ideal as you’re close enough to everything but far enough to not hear any noise. The only comment I would make is that our room (king with balcony) had the bathroom and shower as part of the room separately only by a glass so privacy was limited. Other than that, the experience was wonderful.

I have stayed in many hotels around the world and this is one of my Favourites. The staff is wonderful. beds are very comfy. Hotel is very clean. Atmosphere and decor is beautiful. Pools are lovely. Massages are good. Very walkable area. I seriously love this hotel, highly recommend. Very safe as well.
