The unit was very dated with many items either simply not working or is a state of disrepair. Specifically, the A/C was not working upon arrival. Also, the toaster and coffee machine were not working and we did not receive a replacement until the day prior to checkout.

The bathroom in the master room was also in poor shape and poorly laid out. The toilet seat was loose to the point of detaching from the toilet and the blow dryer only worked in one setting. The shower is less than 3 foot by 3 foot with a corner cut

Lots of broken odds and ends. Management company did not contact the front desk of the property timely. Fixtures and furniture very cheap. Spend an hour on the phone with three people to just get access to our room.

Convenience for price is the only advantage. It’s a big one, but needs help.

Not worth the hassle or price. You'll book through Expedia but there's a *second process* you have to go through, including uploading pictures of your credit card, sending your birthday, etc. Oh, and you better do it ASAP or they'll threaten to cancel your stay!

On top of that, there isn't parking there unless you stay for at least a month. I didn't find that out until I tried to reserve it, and had to fend for myself. Thankfully DC has options, but not exactly the easy experience I hoped for.

At check in, it turned out they gave our room away and had to place us in another unit. I only found out, of course, when the front desk told me there were no keys for me and I had to call customer support. Exactly what I felt like doing after a long drive!

Once inside, the unit was dingy and dirty in places. The bed had barely any support to it, there was no iron or ironing board as promised, and there was only a single towel set in the bathroom, despite booking for two travelers. Oh, and the building reeks of old cigarettes.

It's not the worst place you'll stay in, for sure, but there are so many other options nearby. Don't spend your time or money here. I wish I hadn't.

First of all the parking is located directly under the building. Global Luxury Suites gave me the wrong address so we spent about 45 min trying to locate the parking garage. We were told it cost $28 but was $30 per day. It was open 7AM until 11PM. We were informed we would not be allowed to go in and out. The toilet did not flush. A repair was not made until the next day. The sofa did not function properly. I am requesting at least half of my stay to be reimbursed as basic emergency repairs were not done in a timely fashion and the sofa bed did not work.

Easy check-in, nice lobby and front desk, pretty good location. Washer/dryer was a plus. The apartment was very outdated and poorly maintained. Holes in wall, light switches cracked/broken hall lights, damage the floors and baseboards, lampshade broken and crooked (just really added to the shape over all), furniture in poor shape. I guess you get what you pay for. Good in a pinch or on a tight budget and plan to be out of the room most of the time.

Physical check in was very easy. The rooms were good. The pre-check in was very discouraging. We won’t be using this property again. They violated ADA and required paperwork that was against federal law. I am very concerned I will be charged. We will see.

the apartment had a bad smell as soon as we walked in. THen we noticed there was mold around the baseboards in the kitchen. From that we noticed there was water under the laminate floor boards that bubbled up between them. We would get wet socks when walking in the kitchen area. Also, the bed mattress was terrible, too soft and lumpy. There was only one lamp in the bedroom that gave very poor lighting. There was no free wifi either.
the location was great, but the apartment definitely not 'luxury'.

The room was supposed to have two beds, one in the bedroom and one pull-out couch in the main room. However, the pull-out couch had dirty sheets on it, and there were no blankets for it anywhere in the unit. When we called to request blankets, the “emergency customer service” said that no one was available to bring us new blankets until the next morning. After three more calls, they finally brought us a blanket at 4pm the next day. However, that left one member of our party with nowhere to sleep the first night, as there were no blankets, no clean sheets, and it was 30 degrees outside. The front desk “concierge” suggested that I go to a store and buy a blanket.
There was also a dirty, used washcloth left in the bathroom.
There was only one coffee cup (for a unit that sleeps 3) and only one provided packet of coffee (to make a single pot for a 3 night stay).
Truly the only redeeming quality of this place was its central location, but everything else was underwhelming or simply unacceptable as far as customer service goes.

The room was clean, but unfortunately the positive review ends there. There is no TV in the second bedroom. The wifi password included with the check in paperwork does not work. There was mold under the sinks. The floors are a cheap laminate that is swelling and separating. The bathroom light did not work. The mattresses was of the lowest quality. Do not go expecting to get a good night sleep. Towels were extremely limited. The hallways going to the room had a strong odor. The lobby was dirty and extremely worn down. The room was not worth want they are charging. There are several other upscale hotels in the area that offer a better experience for the same amount money.

It was good and clean. We stay in this building yearly due to location.
1. No window view, and we didnt like looking in to neighbor's windows or them ours. Keep blinds closed. Lol
2. Master bed broke when my wife sat on it.
3. No Keurig or pod style coffee machine.
Other than those 3 things, it was good.

We did not stay here! Although I completed the online form for the property twice, the payments did not process properly, communication with the property was not easy nor did it solve the problem, and we ended up leaving and finding a better option. The person onsite at the desk was reluctant to call the company, and when she finally did, she seemed bothered and was dismissive of the situation. The property looked great, and it's a shame it didn't work out. Sadly, I won't take the risk of working with this company again in the future.

The only real good thing is the location. Apartment was less than basic. The bathroom lights did not work in either bathroom. We called customer service and was told they would come the next day to fix. They never came. The master bed was broken at the foot so the bed was on a deep angle so we rolled towards the end. When we were driving we had to call and ask where to park. We were told the nearest parking garage was two miles away. When we arrived we saw there was a garage directly around the corner. We arrived to check in and there was no concierge at the desk. There was another couple waiting and they had been there fifteen minutes waiting. No sign stating return time. Finally arrived after another ten minutes later. Only two towels for four people. All over less than pleasing experience for price paid.

The apartment was very clean and in a fantastic location – only a 3-minute walk from the White House. Having an in-unit washing machine was also a rare and useful perk.

However, there are several important things to be aware of. This is not a hotel, but a residential building. There is no reception or on-site customer service, so if you encounter issues, you’re on your own. On check-in, you are simply handed a key, and that’s it.

The biggest frustration was parking. The advert and email I received before arrival stated to “pull a ticket at the garage and pay the overnight rate ($28).” In reality, the garage is run by an attendant, it closes at 11pm, and you’re expected to check in with them first (which I was never told). I arrived at 10:55pm and was met with a very unhelpful and rude attendant who was upset I hadn’t checked in earlier. The whole process was unclear and stressful, and I ended up being charged $30 per night instead of the $28 advertised.

Finally, while the apartment was spotless, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep.

Overall, while the location and cleanliness were excellent, the lack of transparency, poor parking experience, uncomfortable beds, and absence of customer service let this stay down.

Good Sized Clean Apartment in Great Location!

The location was fantastic! Within walking distance to all the attractions. Right across the street from the White House. Good size apartment with full kitchen. It was clean, but bring your own blankets, some pillows have feathers for those with allergies. The Concierge is not very helpful like the front desk attendant at a hotel.

The Global Luxury Suites at The White House‘s location was great, it is only a couple of blocks away from the White House which gives plenty of options for people to do things and eat at (the Cheesecake Factory is literally right next door). The rooftop views were awesome, parking was convenient as it was in the same building, and it is spacious.

The only down falls we had was some outlets were loose and not working, no USB chargers, a bedroom door could not be closed as there was a cord in the doorway that connected to the WiFi and cleanliness could of been a little bit better. These are easy fixes that I believe will be addressed.

This was our first time staying at this location, but it will not be our last. It was absolutely perfect in every way. It is safe and secured, with a locking door that you can only gain entry with a fob. There is always a friendly concierge at the desk. The lobby area was pristinely clean and quiet. Our apartment was clean and organized. Fully functional with all of the amenities of home. This is walkable distance from all of the monuments, The White House, and Arlington if you are sight seers like we are. The Cheesecake Factory is right next door! CVS is around the block. It really is a perfect location. I cannot attest to parking because we did not utilize that area. Easy pickup location for Uber as well.

Bathrooms & kitchen cabinets needs redoing. Beds in both room squeaks like crazy. Had to lay still or your partner will wake up. Bedroom doors are hard to close tight & open, it needs fixing. Had to replace the bed sheets & clean the room before checking out. There's no housekeeping. We felt like we were at home cleaning. Parking over night is $30 a night. Room was Expensive.

I did not realize this was NOT a hotel, until I arrived. The apt was fine, but lacked items: no bathing soap, no detergent for laundry, no towels for hand-drying dishes, no extra trash bags, etc. There were sheets for sofa bed, but no top cover for warmth. Speaking of warmth, living room area AC failed to cool. Maintenance left a note while we were out, detailing a repair, but soon after, it failed again. I emailed, but no response.
The unit was perfectly located, and the front desk staffer was great. Overall, we made it work, but some guests may not be as patient.

First of all this property worked great for my daughter and I. She had her own space and I had mine. 2nd, the location was great, lots of restraunts and shopping around and very close to DC sites. The room: beds were fantastic, water presure in the shower was great as was temperature. The apt needs some care. 1 bedroom lamp was broken ( had been for awhile) and looked all crooked. There was tape on the master bath wall and mildew on the shower curtain. Kitchen was well equiped only thing was microwave lights were burnt out, no night light. The main issue is the noise, even though we were 10 stories up, it sounded like we were on the ground floor with a window open. In the city there are ALWAYS alot of sirens, multiple ones every hour and it was pretty loud in the apt. Not sure what could be done about that, it was more an inconvience than a problem, as I sleep well and my daughter had ear plugs, so I would recommend those. While we had 2 sets of keys, we only had 1 fob and you need that for main door, rooftop patio and the gym, so that was a little bit of a hassle. All in all, the property was nice and fitted our needs.

This is an excellent location. One block from the White House! The apartment is in a beautiful building with Cheesecake Factory next door. There is a coffee shop connected to the lobby which is charming.

I should’ve stayed at a hotel.

I felt like an unwanted step child in this apartment. I arrived about 5:00pm. Security handed me an envelope and that was it. I went to go find my apartment for the next 3 weeks. It was definitely a lot smaller than the pictures. And a wonderful surprise against the wall. A full sized crib where a dining table should have been! I have no children and never requested a crib! Turned on the living room tv and no picture. Tried different things, finally decided to check all the connections and yeah, all the cables were disconnected. That was fun connecting them. The bedroom. Felt like a carnival ride. The dresser sloped down towards the middle, 2 drawers were missing the handles, one was slightly broken. Not sure how the tv didn’t topple from the sad dresser drooping. The incredible thing here is how the bed was exactly the same as dresser, broken in the middle and drooping. Sat on the edge of the bed, that’s fine. Went to lie down and that dip in the middle, was a little scary. I was exhausted and knew that no one would come help Saturday night. The apartment is obviously the sad rental that no one really takes care of. The touch up paint didn’t even try to match the wall, the scratches, broken string on the bedroom blinds, sad lamps and the legs on the glass end tables that fall off, I almost cried. Did call them to remove the crib, but I didn’t want to try and get a different apartment since I figured this was the best they could do. I made the best out of it.

Great location for visiting the White House, Washington Monument and world War II Memorial. We knew this operated as an Air B&B so usual hotel amenities are not available. Desk staff very nice and helpful and always there. Felt safe coming and going, key fob used to enter property. Did not need to call Global Luxury Suites help line. Cheesecake Factory on floor 1 for breakfast or dinner. Old Ebbitt Grill 2 blocks away.

If you’re expecting a nice place, then you’ll surely be disappointed. We arrived at our place with multiple issues (lights burnt out, large amounts of dust on the ceilings/light fixtures, a soap holder ripped off the shower wall, and what looked like water damage that warped part of the hallway by the kitchen). After unpacking after a long day we decided to wash off and realized we didn’t have hot water in both bathrooms. We contacted the company and received no response. Next morning we talked to the front desk and they mentioned that the hot water was a building wide problem but mentioned it was fixed. We checked the water shortly after and we still didn’t have water. Maintenance came in and said a part was needed but at the moment there was warm water, it was barely luke warm. The next day they came back and worked on the showers, they said it was fixed. We still had no hot water but barely warm water. We contacted the rental company multiple times to get this resolved and we got nothing back. When I kept calling their phone line, we were told maintenance tried to knock but “we didn’t answer that morning” or that “the problem was already resolved when they talked to the building.” This was never the case. We worked remotely each Mon-Fri. So after 9 nights/10 days of no hot water, maintenance finally fixed it. We made multiple requests for this property to provide a refund since it’s unacceptable not to have any hot water for that long. No response yet. Avoid at all costs!

Do not stay here. There is absolutely no natural light coming into this unit as you are in a square and you are looking right into somebody else’s apartment. Not to mention the place is dark no lighting in the bedroom other that table lamp, no large mirror. Not to mention, I’m spending money for my vacation. I don’t wanna have to clean at the end of it and there were strict instructions on having to put out the garbage and clean???

The property is convienently located to the metro and downtown attractions. It has a kitchen and other standard apartment features which are good for feeling like you live there as a local.

We had some difficulty understanding how to find and get in the building and didn’t have information needed for accessing the room. It was more complicated than it needed to be and the communication was not timely or well-integrated with third party booking services (eg Expedia).

We had a great stay in DC at this property! I had to book a last minute hotel and for the price I was going to pay for a standard hotel room near the White House, I found this great deal with Global Luxury Suites on Expedia and got an ENTIRE one-bedroom apartment. Wow. And a block from the Metro and from the White House. AMAZING rooftop patio.

I was worried when I read the negative reviews, but I had no problems. Great location, great apartment...just be aware that this company rents out apartments in a residential apartment building and is not a hotel proper. There was always an extremely friendly front desk/concierge, but they were building staff and nothing to do with Luxury Suites other than dispatching your key at check in. So naturally they aren't able to help with any issues with the room; you have to call customer service. We had no problems at all but I could see this being a potential issue if your key weren't there to check in, or if there were a substantial problem with the room and you could only leave a message when you called!

Having said that we had no issues and completely enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!

I will not recommend this place the customer support was slow and ineffective especially for the price. When I get to this place I discover that there are no linens for the sofa bed. I call the property 4 time one at 4:34pm one time at 6:12pm another time at 10:14pm and another time at 10:26pm just for them to tell me that they do not have personal on site and they can not deliver the linens until tomorrow which by then I will already be checkout. They tell my that I can use the spear linens for the other bed but those linens only has bedsheet and not any comforter. I would advise anyone that want to stay here try to exhaust any and all other possible options before booking this place.

My review

Place was fine. It was more like a small apartment. It’s actually an apartment building with people that live there. Not so luxury as they say at least in my opinion the ladies at the front desk were amazing. The location was cool with places to eat and the White House the next block over but I trying to figure out the luxury part. Parking was 30 bucks a day which it said parking was not included which I get. Would have been nice to have a bar to go to and relax at night but I get it it’s a place people live. Your best bet is to get a hotel if you want the amenities of bar, pool ect. The place was very quite did not see many people in my coming and going from building. All in all was a good stay would I stay again I would not.

Location is great for meetings or tourism of the central attractions. Unit is spacious and building staff is friendly. Parking is convenient. Unit itself is not luxurious. Bed, sofa, furniture pretty worn out. Bathroom shower severely lacks pressure. Unit takes in a lot of street noise through large old windows. Windows only have blinds not curtains so street light comes in. Also they make you take out the trash? Find a proper hotel.

The check-in process was very easy and the room had everything we needed. We will rent with them again. The only thing you need to do prior to arriving is plan what parking garage you will park in. The one nearest the building was being upgraded and we went 2 blocks away for one.

The apartment did not meet expectations. The actual space was significantly different from the pictures provided. There was no bathtub, contrary to what was advertised, and the cleanliness was subpar. Would not recommend for anyone also for my enemy also

Had to to speak to 3 different customer service agent to get move in instructions.
This unit is dirty and in need of repairs.
There is a hole in the bathroom wall.
Multiple burned out lights. The washer and dryer squeals like a pig. Top of the fridge hasn’t cleaned off and months. There are finger print everywhere. TV in the living room has splatter all over the front of it . The walls and light switches are filthy. Pretty dissatisfying for the money you’re charging us. Not to mention we had to sit and wait in the room for over an hour for the keys on arrival and could not leave. Sent to notes to the Global customer service and never even had response.

Super disappointed in this property.

The apartment was great except for the fact that the beds were way to firm and there were no blackout curtains in the bedrooms, so my child, spouse, and I were not able to sleep at all for the 4 nights that we were there. The rooms were bright enough at 3 am to read a book in due to the sidewalk lights. If we had been able to find another place to stay with reasonable rates we would have switched accomidations after the first night. The kitchen, living spaces, and bathrooms were nice and tidy, though the non-stick pans need to have non-metal cooking utensils. Overall, great location, but couldn't sleep.

Definitely NOT a luxury suite. It was a basic professional class east-coast apartment in a decent building. Never got the blanket I asked for.
