Habitation was really nice and as advertised.
Very clean, AC worked perfectly, when WIFI crashed, another one was made available.
Sheets and towels were changed after day 7.
Only small point. No extra toilet paper was available. We just put it on our grocery list.

Our family of five stayed here for two weeks for a vacation to Curacao in July 2025. We love this place and plan to come back. Located on the West End of the island, this resort has a lovely pool and easy cliffside access to excellent snorkeling. Our bungalow had two bedrooms, a huge third sleeping area upstairs in a loft, full kitchen (no oven) and a charcoal grill outside, as well as two bathrooms. Restaurants are within easy driving distance, and a couple are walkable. Takes about 40 minutes to drive to Willemstad, and many of the best beaches are on the west end of the island, so having a car is a must, but the location was perfect for us. The landscaping is beautiful, the staff are so helpful and friendly, and we loved the place. If you are looking for an “Americanized” resort sort of experience, go elsewhere but if you want to actually experience this island and meet some amazing people while doing so, and actually see Curacao, this is the place. We will return.

Large townhouse with ocean/sunset view. 3 bedrooms, which were the only air conditioned rooms, large living room and kitchen, nice 2 floor deck. Very nice accommodation except the main rooms not air conditioned, only a fan. Curacao is HOT.

This is a quiet place on the west end of the island. Two story townhomes. The pool is great. The views outstanding. Iguanas and birds are fun to watch. Steps down to the water are unbelievable . You can dive there but carrying tanks would not be fun for most. Beaches are all along the coast in cuts into the coral. Pretty water. Take water shoes because it is rocky.

The property is beautiful and you can literally scuba right off the back stairs down the cliff into beautiful turquoise water. Our particular unit was a bit deceptive as there was no way you could sleep upstairs because of the heat even with the ac on. We just opened the sleeper sofa downstairs. For the price it was all we needed. Management and staff very responsive.

Relaxing Stay at Marazul

We absolutely loved this place. We were originally concerned about having to pay in cash but check in was easy. We had a car so it was easy to get to. Ample parking, beautiful sunsets and view. We really enjoyed having two floors and the balcony. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place for you. We will be back for sure.

The cats (and iguanas) at the resort are really sweet. Loved sitting in the back to watch the sunset. Would recommend to anyone.

There's plenty of parking inside the gates of this townhouse/apartment complex. There is no front desk or any type of amenities or anything resort-like. There is an outdoor pool and grill area. I would not recommend arriving here after dark both because the area can feel desolate and your GPS may not locate the entrance accurately. Make sure you saved the email from the manager with the gate code and your unit number, and make sure you packed cash because they do not accept credit card even if you reserved here with credit card. There's no one to greet you on arrival, and there's no map of the property or any wayfinding signage on the grounds to help you find which unit is yours. The inside of the unit was clean but very bare bones with worn out couches. The strange thing is that the photos on expedia don't match the units. We chose something with two floors in the photos (bedroom clearly upstairs with couches downstairs) but ended up assigned a second floor unit with no bedroom (studio). This was corrected quickly when we located the manager and pointed out the discrepancy. It's quiet and peaceful, but you don't get a particularly safe feeling in this part of the island in general. The restaurants nearby aren't very good, and grocery stores are far (back near the airport). No cleaning of the unit while you're there. If you want to use the washing machine and hang dry your clothing, chase down the manager to purchase special washer tokens in advance. Wifi works. No TV.

Welcome to paradise

Please be aware this is not resort or hotel but rather apartments of different size in unique and lovely place. There is no daily cleaning. Those used to US hotel standards will find only hand soap in the restroom. Second roll of toilette paper you will need to purchase (pennies but still..). If this is not a problem (which is our case), everything else is as in the definition of \"paradise\" - all appliances working, full kitchen with plates, pans, etc. and it all in good condition and working. Very friendly and straight forward people. We definitely love this place. We haven't tried to use shuttle or taxi because rented car to be able go around island, make shopping etc.

Wow, we loved this place. Very quite and the nearby beaches are beautiful. A view good restaurants just around the corner. Do need a car to get around. The unit was better than the pictures. Bed slept awesome and the kitchen had all the basics. Internet was not working well, but did not miss it.

It is quite and decent accommodation, however, the issue is the manager does not understand or speak English so very difficult to communicate. Also, I had a not so good experience, my stay was US $337 so I gave her $340 and she somehow communicated that she would be returning $3 which is not significant but then never came back. Issue number two was that one night at around 1 AM we lost power to our cottage and the entire night we were without air conditioning and as our was very warm we could not sleep. When I complained in the morning she said that since we over used the electricity that was the reason it was sit down. They should have told this restriction on the first place

We rented 2 units for a week. The property was nicely landscaped and we met many friendly renters and owners there. The units were clean, nice layout, with beautiful views of the ocean. Rene the property manager was helpful and friendly. We could walk to several restaurants, our favourites being Sol Food (say hi to Sunshine) and the Cactus Cafe. I highly recommend this property, we are honestly looking to buy a unit.😀

We Love Marazul!

This was our 3rd time staying at Marazul. We have rented both 1-bedroom & 3-bedroom units. The accommodation is great value for money & comfortable, but it’s not a full on resort so just understand that this is self contained accommodation with an office manager on site should you need anything taken care of. Units are cleaned once a week by the maid & all had everything we needed for our stay. There is a basic washing machine on site that you can use with tokens.
Marazul is a great spot for a quiet vacation, whether you’re a diver or not. Although there isn’t a dive shop on site, there is one 5-minutes away if you want to rent any gear or tanks for shore diving. The pool at Marazul was lovely - warm & clean, & the stunningly beautiful ocean was accessible by stairs, only steps away from our door. The stairs take you down to the ocean & onto a pristine reef where you can dive, snorkel, or just swim. Our kids especially loved jumping from the low cliffs into the ocean.
The best, most beautiful beaches are closer to this end of the island, & the closest one is only 5-minutes away by car. There are some lovely local restaurants you can walk to, but be aware, this end of the island is quiet, so it’s best to buy your groceries when you first arrive - grocery stores are closer to the airport. Although it’s a bit of a drive to get to Willemstad, we went a few times for day trips to see the other end of the island. We would definitely recommend Marazul as a great place to stay.

Amazing view form the balcony of the ocean and of the stars at night! Great snorkeling right off the coast of the hotel. Beach next door. A few good restaurants around. Everything was working well, good water pressure in the showers, hot water, enough towels, beach towels. Kitchen had toaster oven, microwave, stove top, and everything you needed for an extended stay. Bring your own toiletries. AC worked great.

Great location at Westpund. The snorkelling is some of the best on Curacao. Very friendly people as these are residences that are rented out. Many owners are living and vacationing here so you get a chance to chat with them and really learn about the best places to eat and shop for groceries as I think most units have a kitchenette. Ours had a full fridge with toaster oven, coffee maker, toaster, stove, microwave, and cable TV. We ended up in unit 8B which was right on the beach. Amazing!! You can scuba dive or snorkel right from the steps that go down to the water literally steps from our waterfront terrace. We were able to BBQ as those are provided out on the beach on our back terrace but make sure you have briquettes and starter fluid and matches. Our unit was an up and down and actually very clean and comfortable with king size bed and 2 bathrooms 1 up and 1 down. All cutlery pots and pans are provided. Toilet paper and paper towels are present upon your checkin but if you run out you have to buy your own. This is quite north and about 45 minutes from the airport so a car rental is definitely the best way to get around. You can take a taxi from airport but they charge $50.00 USD. ANG which is Dutch Guilders or USD are the currency required for the island and you must pay manager in cash. Fantastic experience for actual rest and relaxation. Not a party place.

Beware of Cheaptickets - they don't tell you...

The place is great, but all rooms aren't created equal. Some have much better views. The gates are locked with no way to gain entry unless prior arrangements and you have to pay cash for the rooms, or pay pal. They don't take credit cards and the one you gave to hold the room doesn't pay for the room. A nightmare to get the room. Place is lovely, and out of the city. No one is manning the property.

Marazul was is the ideal location to truly feel like you were getting away to a quiet, secluded location right next to the ocean.

Rene and staff were fantastic!

Views were absolutely amazing.

Proximity to 3 great restaurants (Sol Food, Blue View & Trip Pinnatii).

If traveling solo, no problems you can fund numerous dive buddies either at Marazul or Go West Diving which is right up the road.

Best diving every and quite potentially my favorite vacation of all time...

Not a dive resort...not a resort!

Directions to property were fine. Included location of a grocery store along the drive in. What wasn't communicated was there are no stores to purchase groceries or goods close by. Would have been good if management stressed this. Also be helpful to include map of unit #s since hard to read at night.

Upon entering, the inside door handle to front door broke off. Maid forgot to stock rolls of toilet paper. That wasn't fun.

Walked all around the property looking for restaurant. Rechecked property info online and it clearly says there is one. Manager says restaurant is right outside the gate and walk over to the Rancho Resort's restaurant. Food was good and it was a short walk but this was another let down.

There is no dive shop at this location. Next door resort has a dive shop. This location is just studios and apartments within a gated community. Nice pool area tho.

Overhead photo you see online is deceptive. Appears as units are in the sand backing up to the water. There is no sand, only white rocks/pebbles which is entered down steep slope of steps. Decent reef for snorkeling but can't advise for scuba. Would recommend other locations with verified ratings.

Rented kayak for a day and had to drag the boat, paddle, and my bag to steep steps which was easier access point. Getting the kayak down was challenging. Bringing back up even worse because rotted pull rop broke. New oar needed, old ones are shot.

Oh yeah. .aunts. typical for beach pad.

Marazul is a private condominium in Westpunt by the ocean. I was upgraded to a sea front unit that was very Nice and had everything You might need. There is ample parking and a pool and also An. Ocean entry with stairs. Near a lot of beaches. The couple managing the rentals also sell some of the items You might need but before heading there go to a supermarket otherwise You mistura drive to Barber or back to the airport! Great option specially when You consider the price.

This is a great base for a dive or snorkeling vacation on Curacao. The north coast around Sabana Westpunt has some of the best reefs. We really liked our apartment (#12) which was very spacious, easily enough for us two and our two grown-up children. The unit had a patio and a huge covered balcony, a well-equipped kitchen, and an outdoor charcoal grill. There's a small pool at the resort, good enough for a quick dip. The resort is protected by a gate and felt very safe. It was busy when we were here around Christmas but everything was very quiet. The manager Rene gave us clear instructions for our arrival and checked on us to see if we needed anything. Please note that you can't pay for the stay by credit card, only cash or paypal.

There is no beach here but there are two stairs/ladders that go down to the sea level and allow easy access for some quick swims. There are (at least) three beaches within a 5 minute drive, all offering great snorkeling experiences. At the nearby Kura Hulanda, you'll find a nice dive store that also offers drive/snorkeling trips.

Couple of problems that kept me from giving 5 stars. The unit felt in need of a refresh. One toilet was out of order, one A/C didn't work (but got replaced while we were there). No wi-fi in #12, signal from #13 only good when you're on the patio. Knifes were blunt and partially broken.

Overall, I would not hesitate coming back. We stayed at Kura Hulanda before, Marazul is much better value. We had a great time

A gem in Westpunt

Escape to Marazul where the azure blue Caribbean is at your feet, colorful fish and healthy reef ensure days of fascinating snorkeling or diving, clean and lovely pool is surrounded by plentiful lounge chairs, and grounds are beautifully landscaped with palm trees, cacti and flowering shrubs. Bungalow units are comfortable and well equipped with kitchen needs and outside deck/balcony furniture and grills. Showers are tiled and provide plenty of hot water. Kitchen water is not heated for those who are concerned about washing dishes in cold water. Laundry facilities are available but each unit has an outside drying rack for use. Kingsize bed (or twins pushed together) are comfortable. There is adequate storage space for a couple on a beach vacation. TV and free Internet reception were good. The manager Rene is very helpful and attentive in our experience. The Marazul offers several gazebos as well as a large pool area where people can socialize. We do not usually return to the same resort preferring to sample others, but have already reserved for a lengthy period for next winter. The Marazul offers excellent value for your money. A drawback for some would be the limited number of restaurants in the area and food supplies need to be purchased on the way up from Willemstad. A car is definitely necessary to enjoy the many beautiful beaches within a 10 minute drive.Highly recommended by an avid snorkeler who has been all over the Caribbean, Great Barrier Reef and Fiji.

We were extremely pleased when we arrived at resort. The overall property and views from our unit were incredible. We woke every morning to the sound and sight of the ocean and enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets every night. There was no beach but two sets of stairs in the coral leading to the ocean. The water was beautiful with fantastic snorkeling along the reef. Our unit was very comfortable and we did not even need the AC at night...just opened the windows and let the breeze blow through. The kitchen appeared well stocked though we ate all of our meals out.

Great View with Peace and Quiet

Marazul is a great place to stay. It is a gated condo community and if you book ocean FRONT you get it!! It is located up on a cliff with stairs to the water. Water was great for snorkeling fabulous view. You Need a CAR if you stay here. Our unit had a problem with hot water.... luke warm showers at best. but manager was there every morning asking if all was ok and right on the spot to check out any concerns. Over all a great place with great neighbors!!

Fantastic for snorkelers, divers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts!

We stayed in two different one-bedroom units this month. Both were extremely clean and stocked with all of the kitchen equipment, and swim/snorkel/dive wear drying accoutrements one could wish and had very nice ocean views from bedroom balcony and lower level patio. Dish and hand soap and sponge/cloths were provided...bring your own shampoo as toiletries are not. Furniture and appliances in both units were comfy and in very good condition. Please note that these are privately owned condos, so decor will vary somewhat from unit to unit. Most units appear to have charcoal grills (bring-your-own charcoal).

The complex is cleverly arranged so that most units have ocean views and good access to the breezes coming off the hills behind. We really enjoyed the pool and garden areas and the direct access to the ocean (via ladder). The atmosphere here is very tranquil and quiet, but with easy access to several restaurants, hiking/biking trails, beaches, and snorkel/dive sites. Manager Rene is very professional, accessible, and welcoming. We were only supposed to spend the first half of our vacation here but, when we found our other hotel and the area closer to Willemstad not to our liking, Rene was able to accommodate us last-minute for the duration of our trip! We loved Marazul Dive Resort and will definitely return when next in Curacao!!

Nice place to stay.

A comfortable suite near many excellent snorkeling spots on the west end. There is water access for swimming (steps that go down into deep water and a cliff you can jump off) but no beach at the resort itself. There are many a short drive away. There are some good restaurants nearby, one right next door, but no large grocery stores. Car is required for this part of the island.

Tivemos uma ótima estadia no Mar Azul Dive Research. O layout do apartamento é excelente: no térreo há uma sala com ar-condicionado, cozinha completa e um banheiro. No andar superior, fica o quarto com mais um banheiro e uma varanda muito agradável. Na área externa, aproveitamos a churrasqueira disponível para fazer nosso próprio churrasco.
A localização é estratégica, ficando muito próxima das principais praias da Ponta Oeste. Recomendo fortemente hospedar-se aqui por uns 4 dias para evitar o trânsito pesado de Willemstad em direção às praias dessa região. É essencial estar com carro alugado para se locomover com facilidade. Vale notar que há três restaurantes muito bons por perto, mas eles fecham cedo, por volta das 19h.
Um agradecimento especial ao René, que nos recepcionou muito bem. Ele foi extremamente atencioso e compreensivo com um problema que tivemos na conexão do voo, descontando o valor da diária que acabamos perdendo. Esse tipo de hospitalidade faz toda a diferença. Recomendamos muito!

Jättefin utsikt med solnedgång. Fantastiskt läge med en trappa ner i havet som är som ett akvarium med fina fiska och med lite tur även sköldpaddor. Några meter ut ett jättefint rev att dyka på. Poolen uppskattades verkligen av barnen och vi vuxna gillade att grilla och äta middag tillsammans. Lite dåligt med köksutrustning och städutrustning i vårt hus. Tillgång till bil är en stor fördel.

O lugar é maravilhoso e a acomodação extremamente confortável. A limpeza quando chegamos era exemplar. Casa muito bem equipada (apenas sentimos falta de um forno, mas nada que comprometa). Bem em frente tem um acesso ao mar, mas não é uma praia, e sim uma escada em um paredão. Perfeito para snorkeling e bem bom para mergulho autônomo.

Um espetáculo de lugar

Me hospedei com minha irmã e adoramos tudo: a limpeza, conforto, a estrutura toda. O Resort tem um por do sol mágico. Tem um acesso ao mar por escada, onde descem para realizar mergulhos. A água é maravilhosa e há peixes diversos por perto. Estacionamento amplo e seguro. Eu e minha irmã adoramos tudo. As varandas com vista pro mar, tanto em cima quanto embaixo são aconchegantes. O espaço tem diversos utensílios e não nos faltou nada. O fato de ter dois banheiros nos poupou muito tempo. Senhor Rene nos recebeu no dia seguinte e muito e muito atencioso com nosso inglês básico. Não tiramos fotos da acomodação

vista maravilhosa, casa confortável e preço justo

A chegada à propriedade é fácil e as orientações do anfitrião são claras. É fortemente recomendável o aluguel de um carro se for se hospedar pra região de West Punt.
Ficamos hospedados num apartamento com vista 100% para o mar (9A). Foi sensacional! Cozinha completa para cozinhar, cama confortável, ar condicionado potente, banheiro com chuveiro quente.
Por fim, a estrutura do resort, ainda que simples, é muito boa. A piscina é uma delícia, a vista para o mar é linda e as iguanas (que são muitas!) são uma atração à parte.
Gostamos muito. Recomendo fortemente.

Gostei de tudo.
Desde a recepção feita pelo Renee, da casa, da vista, do mar. Gostei até dos gatos e iguanas que habitam a propriedade.
A casa é excelente, limpa, bem decorada e muito confortável. Aliás, a casa virou também um evento das férias.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im Marazul. Man konnte wunderbar den Sonnenuntergang beobachten und direkt vor Ort schnorcheln gehen. Preis-Leistung war sehr gut.

Estadia incrível

Foi muito melhor que eu esperava. Fiquei no apartamento E1 e tinha tudo que eu precisava. Uma cozinha completa com vários eletrodomésticos e utensílios, ar condicionado na sala embaixo e no quarto em cima, água quente nos dois banheiros, uma vista do mar incrível do quarto com um terraço espaçoso e amplo. Eu voltaria com certeza.

Certamente retornarei ao Marazul quando voltar a Curaçao! A propriedade é simplesmente incrível: tranquila, silenciosa e com instalações de altíssima qualidade. A cozinha era completíssima, com todos os utensílios necessários, o que facilitou muito na hora de preparar nossas refeições. Havia várias formas de gelo no congelador, o que foi ótimo, pois não tivemos que comprar gelo. O quarto era muito confortável, com uma sacada e varanda que tornavam o ambiente ainda mais agradável. A piscina era ampla e ótima para relaxar. Tanto o quarto quanto o jardim, que estava sempre bem cuidado, eram lindos. São esses pequenos detalhes que fazem toda a diferença! O estacionamento em frente ao apartamento foi um luxo à parte. Além disso, a região é segura e de beleza indescritível. Ficamos no quarto 24, e todos os equipamentos funcionavam perfeitamente. Amei minha estadia!

Excelente acomodação

A acomodação não é bem um resort, mas sim uma casa. E diga-se de passagem uma excelente casa com tudo que vc precisa para passar dias confortáveis fazendo suas próprias coisas. Limpeza impecável além de uma caixa térmica de cortesia que foi de muita serventia. Digo a vocês que o norte da ilha tem uma natureza esplêndida e não vão se arrepender de ficar a maior parte da hospedagem na ilha por lá. As melhores praias estão a minutos.
