This is a gated community. Tip: show your QR code when you first arrive - even if the cabbie says you don’t have to - they may drop you off at the wrong reception area.
We stayed a week in a studio bungalow with a covered rear porch. Interior was clean and modern. Kitchen well stocked. Early check-in for a fee. Staff responsive on WhatsApp. eKey can be added to your phone. Less than 15 minute walk to the beach. Golf, tennis and fitness classes are available. Several restaurants on site. Excellent wifi. Safe neighbourhood to walk.
Cons: Not much privacy on the porch. The coffee maker was insanely loud! You have no choice but to get up at the same time, unless one of you sleeps like the dead. A very poor experience at the Lemongrass restaurant. No one bothered to ask if they can help you, but were super quick to shoo you away from the coffee and water which was “only for golfers”. We decided not to bother spending our money there.

Room was clean, housekeeping was fantastic and came Tues, Thurs and Saturdays. Balcony is very large, beds comfortable, very quiet area. Kitchen was well appointed, with a coffee machine, kettle, toaster, full fridge and freezer, cooktop and combo microwave, convection oven. Bathroom was large, with a nice shower. The office was so pleasant to deal with.

The room was not cleaned there were things left from previous person, freezer stunk. The bathroom not cleaned and smelled. I had issues the first few days my key wasn't working so I couldn't get in the room a couple nights when I came in TV didn't work.
The staff at the gate to get on property were extremely nice as well as the lemongrass restaurant and the restaurants near the beach. The beach was beautiful.

I stayed one night at Blue Bay Lodge due to a flight delay and just needed a place to crash, it turned out to be a great choice. The lodge was quiet, clean and well organized. Communication was excellent and the staff is flexible and very accommodating. It made an unexpected stop easy and stress free. Highly recommended for longer stay.

The air conditioning barely worked. False advertisement, the lodges are not close to the beach or close to any of the restaurants on the resort. For the resort to be so big there is no buggie service to transport you around the resort. Overall it was just a place to say you had somewhere to sleep at.

We are a senior citizen couple vacationing in Curacao the first time and we stayed int there hotel for 3 nights. The hotel self check in was a bit confusing due to a lack of signs. The operations of the room entrance door and appliances can use some instructions. The hotel staff was excellent when asking for support.

Fantastic beach on site. Was hoping for more unique dining options but there is 4 or 5 places on site for food/snacks. Grocery store is very close by. Very happy we rented a car most sites worth seeing required traveling 15-20 minutes. Bigger tours will pick you up, cant recommend swimming with the turtles tour, most memorable activity we did as a family.

This property was very clean. There was a woman in the front office when we arrived that was nice. But a couple hours later no on was around. I had the impression when I booked here that the beach was close by, but it’s not. The walk was far with no shade, so it was not possible for my 80 year old grandparents to complete it. There weren’t any signs on the road indicating you were in the right path. Since most restaurants appeared far we had to order a taxi to get dinner which was expensive. The property is quiet which was a plus. It had AC and a coffee machine, but otherwise pretty basic.

The room was very comfortable. There was really no view. There is no pool! It is about a 15 minute walk to a small, very crowded beach. The staff were helpful but overall it was expensive fr what you get.

The Lodges are roomy and modern and the deck is perfect for sitting on the swing and enjoying the weather. I only wish that there had been a screen door so that we could leave the room open to the breeze, but there are too many bugs to make it worth the risk. Other than the restaurants at the resort, there are few places to eat in this part of the island. There are some really well-stocked grocery stores nearby though so make sure you get a room with a kitchen. Very safe, and parking is easy. The beach is a 20 min walk or a 5 min drive, but there are other bigger beaches to drive to in the area.

The Sunday SELF-check-in was quite unique and efficient as they sent us emails prior to our arrival for a smooth entry through the BlueBay gated area! The room was extremely modern equipped with everything necessary for our meals… a fantastic local supermarket nearby, as well 3 restaurants on the property which were not cheap … a dinner for 2 including drinks at LemonGrass restaurant cost us 120.00 US dollars. The beautiful clean beach was walking distance by 12 minutes

this property is divine. the cleaning staff is divine. it's a kind of rbnb. the property is large so you don't need to leave it as it has three restaurants. It does not have a pool but it has a beautiful beach. You're going to love it. To enter the beach you have to show a QR code for each person, this part annoyed me because only I made the reservation and my partner was required another separate QR code. It's uncomfortable because we had to bring two cell phones. if you need personal things like toothpaste or conditioner you need a car to go out because it's a long walk, but if you bring everything and just want to relax you don't need a car. the reception girl is very loving. Facts of my experience:
- The room and the resort in it's self is pretty nice.
- I did not get an upgrade neither was asked about this feature
- I asked for extra cleaning upon my booking (allergy reasons),did not get that(you'll read about that below)
- Stove did not work well. Took about 45 min to cook pancakes and some eggs
- t.v. stopped working from the first night, did not work and kept freezing for the whole duration of the stay
- WIFI is terrible.
- A water pipe burst the second day. There was no water for the most part of the day and the duration to fix this was longer then expected. When the water did return, the pressure stayed low till the last day of my stay.
I asked for the refund policy, which they was willing to give me. But...
Seeing they don't have 24 hours reception, I couldn't go get my refund when I asked for it and had to wait till the day after that. I was willing to stay IF they could at least fix my t.v. and left reception upon that agreement. When I came back to the room, it was NOT fixed and there was no one at reception. I couldn't get my refund so I had to cancel the hotel i had on stand by. The next day I couldn't leave my room. I was sick because of an allergy attack so slept the whole day because of the medicine.
I do have understanding that some of these situations are not completely under the hotels control, but I don't feel I was compensated at all and there wasn't enough effort on trying to make it better for me, the paying guest.

This was a great spot for us to stay for a couple of days when we were waiting for a condo rental to be ready. The studio had all we needed and would also be good for a longer stay. The kitchenette was well equipped, the bed was comfortable, the balcony was a great place for breakfast or a glass of wine. Our stay included a beach pass to the Blue Bay private beach and the Garden pool was a one minute walk. Beach towels included. Great friendly staff and very helpful on local knowlege.

We loved that this property had a lovely lanai where we spent most of our time when not out. The kitchen was great to cook up easy meals. The fry pan and cutting board need to be replaced as they are quite over used and we had to buy a fry pan flipper as there wasn't one supplied. There are clean dish towels supplied every few days and our beds and room were cleaned often as well. They have black out drapes which are great for sleeping but the bottoms of them and the over curtains were quite dirty. There is a path to the beach which is a ten minute walk but we mostly drove and there is a fairly large parking lot so parking was never a problem. Since there is an $8US charge to go on the beach each day, it was great having a complimentary beach card for free access. The beach is lovely but fairly crowded but we always managed to get a lounge in a shady spot.

It is not what we expected and what you see on the pics. The room was dirty with bread crumbs around the cook top (or that were the signs of roaches?), bedding was stained and not fresh and even stinky, and shamefully dirty (and disgusting to touch) curtains. It was our 30th wedding anniversary, so a week prior to our arrival we sent them an email in order to ask for a better room or something like that, but it was completely ignored. Yes, i saw a roach in the bathroom; the manager said that they are everywhere... Check-out was even worse - before our departure they came to count glasses and forks and there is a huge price list in case if you break a glass you will have to pay. we felt like bad school kids in front of the teacher. I wish we stayed in some other place. Not recommended.

A decent place for the price. They’re right that you definitely need a car though. And buy some mosquito repellant. Our only issue was getting the stove to work. Luckily the maintenance guy just happened to be nearby, and he found that someone had unplugged it underneath, which we would have struggled to find.

Great lodges, modern looking layout yet very comfortable and spacious. Nice terras, pool and one of the best beaches walking distance. Staff very nice and courteous. Restaurant at beach idyllic, great food, reasonably priced. Beach was not crowded which was great. Security top. Also beautiful golf course, pool and tennis court on site. Very large supermarket less than 1 mile away which was great if you want to save some money and prep your own breakfast in the lodge. We’ll be back for sure!

I did not like the distance from the lodges to the Blue bay beach. Not to sound lazy or nothing but traveling with 4 kids and a grandmother, walking uphill in 90+ degree heat everyday to beach/restaurants would quickly get tired. I did have a rental car to alleviate this but, thats a big expense to stay on a \"resort\".. a shuttle service would go a LONG way... I loved the quiet, peaceful and well cared for grounds,.. On prem restaurants were a little pricey BUT well worth it. I highly recommend this property if you want a queit, peaceful, conveineint and really comfortable vacation and if you will use the location as a jump off to see all the beatiful beaches and downtown of curacao.

3 days before checking in we were told we have to switch rooms halfway through our 7 day stay and given the great option of cancelling our booking if we were not happy. As we were staying with a 9 mo baby this meant we lost 1 day of activities.
Services were bad, reception is only open a couple of hours a day and aren't very helpful (couldn't call a doctor). Something else we found out was that the quick road to the beach is closed, so it isn't walking distance anymore, you have to go around for about 2km.

Great value - comfortable bed and linens, nice updated kitchen with adequate appliances, utensils and dish detergent & towels, but no spices or condiments. Bathroom is also updated and clean, with plenty of hot water, rain shower head as well as a hand- held head. Air conditioning worked well although we didn’t have to use it much because the ceiling fans in main room and terrace provided nice cool breezes. Comfortable chairs and table on the terrace which has access through french doors. Checkin was quick and easy and staff was friendly and helpful. Paperwork and passes, all ready when we arrived. Parking right in front of our room.

Clean & comfortable room with superb shower. 2 minute drive (or 10 minute walk) to the beach w/ free and abundant parking. The location of the four pools within the Blue Bay compound is not immediately obvious, but they're nice when you find them. It's a gated community with heavy security as you drive in, so it has a bit a surreal Truman Show feel with lots of happy white Dutch people driving around in golf carts.

We stayed from december 30 till the new year. Checked in by phone to get instructions, and it was very easy. It was a rainy period but althoug that we spend quiet a while at the nearby beach. Take notice that you need a car for moving around outside the resort and on their permisses if you
