The best thing about this property is not the man-made - the incredibly beautiful beach! The hotel itself doesn’t really match a 5-star standard. The food was also fairly basic and not tasty. And what is wrong with the interconnecting door in the room - you can hear your neighbors every breath and more…

Bathroom was gross, water pressure was very low. Toilet was an issue. Room is ok. Food is trash. No selection. Drinks bottom of the line liquor. We had to leave resort to eat for our last few nights. Staff was good by the bar and restaurant. Front desk never answered the phone and were not accommodating. I asked for a robe and the lady said can it wait until tomorrow??? Beach is nice. Pool is small. Lastly no entertainment or disco. Resort was completely closed at 10 pm each night.

Clean room , nice staff.
The “pods” were a bit odd and the butler service, while a nice touch, was not really coordinating with the rest of the team. The “all inclusive” part was not that great in terms of quality and choice of food. The il mare concept should be reviewed as it is certainly different and not for everyone

Our ocean view room had a great view! However, always had to ask for towels, the food and drinks were mediocre at best, extremely small beach, and all 4 treadmills were not working at the gym. Overall great views but would not recommend.

A week in paradise! Il Mare is amazing! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Our butler Sheny was awesome! Our waiter Zahir kept our drinks flowing by the pool. I wish I could remember everyone’s name! Ask for a blue Zahir to drink by the pool. It’s delicious!

Beautiful clean place and very friendly staff. Everyone can find what fits their interest. You can have hotel activity or nice quiet spots to relax and enjoy songs of the birds and waives of the ocean. Good food. The variety is not big, but again, everyone ca find what he likes. The restaurants' schedules should be arranged better. Many people are confused, especially at firs day of staying. There is not open buffet for the dinner.
Cons: residents of other hotels could enjoy the Dreams' property, but dreams' guests don't permitted to go there.

Not enough staff, service was slow, grounds not kept well, dirty garbage, no one managing anything. Bars smelled bad, not enough variety with food, entertainment overall. No music at Il mare bungalows it was desolate and did not feel like a resort. The bungalows were nice but the beach was not as nice as the main area. Not worth the money. The butlers were kind but overall not enough staff or management to train and help. Needs a major overhaul!

Upon my arrival, I experienced a 45-minute delay in room availability, and regrettably, the restaurant had already closed, preventing me from dining. This was compounded by a late flight, which precluded the opportunity to eat at the airport. There was mold in our room. The toilet never stopped running. You actually have to put your card in the wall to make your lights work overall it was just really dirty. Someone got cut by the pool and they left all the blood there. They never replenish the coffee in our room.

The staff are SUPER friendly and welcoming! The food has good seasoning I really liked it. The only thing I didn’t like was that the resort says it has multiple restaurants but only one was open throughout our stay. Other than that the hotel was super clean and pleasant. PS: there’s no 24/7 open bar, last one open is until midnight.

I booked an ocean front room and when I arrived at the resort I was told that room is not available due to a “system glitch”. So I waited hours for another room and was given a double bed room with no ocean view and the AC did not work. I saw another couple there complaining about how the AC does not work also.
The food there is sub-par and drinks were barely ok. I only stayed one night and demanded a refund and went somewhere else to stay.

This all-inclusive hotel was the worst I’ve stayed at, despite having visited over 100 countries. The room was dated, the AC barely worked, and the TV never functioned. The hotel’s cleanliness was questionable, with plates left in the hallways at midnight and our own not picked up when we left them out at 2 p.m. we even killed a roach that was crawling out from another plate.

We barely ate at the hotel as the restaurants in downtown were much better. Despite having all-inclusive in our room rate, we opted for dinner in various downtown restaurants (Kome, Bistro 91, BKLYN) during our 3-night stay. The room service breakfast looked sad and disappointing, so it’s best to have breakfast at the buffet.

We picked this hotel to stay in the same complex with friends who received a voucher to return to Il Mare after their reservation was messed up last year. Il Mare had serene pods and a beautiful view, but my friends didn’t receive breakfast room service for two out of three stays. The 24-hour room service menu doesn’t exist, and the wait time for simple items like juice and ice cream could be up to an hour. For the steep price, you will totally regret it.

If you’re considering this hotel, save your money and stay downtown to enjoy Curaçao’s true culinary beauty.

Most of the staff were rude and not friendly. A lot of attitude given with no customer service etiquette. There was no air throughout the resort and the rooms. Barely any fans given since the rooms were hot. The food was awful with no variety. Always one restaurant was closed plus Oceana restaurant was barely ever open. Buffet was disgusting. Food was cold with birds constantly picking at the food. Not much communication throughout the resort. The rooms were dirty and outdated. Definitely will NOT be going back and would not recommend this resort to anyone.

Not every restaurant are open every night so you’re limited on what yu can eat on specific nights. Super hot in the rooms. No AC! All this money people pay to stay & we can’t even sleep comfortably. Woke up drenched in sweat every morning. It was a good trip overall because I was with friends & we explored the island, but i will never stay here again or recommend anyone to stay here. 0/10.

I do not recommend this property. The overall cleanliness, maintenance, and service quality were well below expectations. The room had a strong odor of smoke, the decorative pillows were visibly stained, the air conditioning did not function properly, and the toilet appeared to have not been cleaned after the previous guest. Although my reservation was for a double bed, I was assigned a single and initially asked to accept it. The manager, Penelope, was dismissive and unhelpful in addressing these concerns. It ultimately required the involvement of her supervisor and additional staff to resolve the matter.

The dining experience was equally disappointing. The buffet food was cold, the seafood restaurant caused illness among guests, and the overall food selection was extremely limited.

In addition, the property itself is outdated and in desperate need of a complete renovation. It does not reflect the standards or quality associated with the Dream brand.

Unhelpful, unfriendly staff. Was not given the room I originally booked and in addition to that the AC unit, in the room I was given, didn't work.

This clearly seems to be sort of a regular/usual occurrence as after I complained I was moved to the Zoetry resort, which is phenomenal by the way, for the remainder of my stay.

As for the Dreams Curacao 0/10 would not recommend ever!!

The views at the property are beautiful, but the facility is not being maintained properly. Our room appeared nice, but there was no AC and no water pressure. We were moved to another room, with better AC and water pressure, but we had to take cold showers as there was only hot water in the sink (which had no cold water), and cold water only in the shower no hot water. After a day in the sun, the first shower did not bother us, but after that it was annoying. Also, my toilet broke and we had to use the lobby until it was fixed, but it broke again. We were checking out so we didn't request a fix. All restaurants have the same menu basically. It is not enough space to accommodate a lot of people, so the first night there, we waited 3 hours to eat. And that was after going to 2 different restaurants. The premium liquor selection, is available for an upcharge. The entertainment was not as good as I hope as well. The staff is very kind and tries to accommodate, but the fact is the property needs a complete overhaul to really represent the brand Hyatt

The staff was good at the front desk but need more training as everyone you speak too gives you a different answer for the same question.The bar staff all act like you are bothering them when you go to get a drink but overall the rest of the staff is nice. Housekeeping only came to clean on day one and did not come to clean again. If you are in your room trying to relax be prepared to be woken by slamming doors as all room door slam unless you are super careful. The property is small and easy to navigate. The food was better then I expected based on other reviews. There is a seperate kiddie pool with some water toys which my 2 year old loved!! Overall it was good for the price!

Dreams Curaçao Resort has a lot of potential. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, and the views are breathtaking. I did notice some trash around the pool area (cups, straws, napkins, food, etc.), but it didn’t interfere with my experience—just something I noticed.
In regard to entertainment Friday night entertainment was the best. Other than that, there wasn’t much entertainment or activities happening. I would say entertainment and activities was a two out of five. Our excursion with BlueFinn beach hopping on Sunday was excellent & highly recommended!
The food was okay, depending on the time of day. When we first arrived on Friday, lunch was delicious, but I can’t say the same for Saturday’s lunch. The restaurants were decent: the Italian restaurant had good food four out of five, the seafood restaurant was a three out of five, and the hidden grill was a two out of five. Honestly, the staff were the real heroes of the resort—they were so friendly, kind, and accommodating. They made the experience a five out of five.
As for the rooms, the AC stopped working on day two, and the shower handle fell off on day one. Even though we had to wait an extra hour for our room to be ready, the bathrooms weren’t clean to my expectations. It looked like a rushed job. And the water pressure for the sink was nonexistent. I reported it right away, but no one ever came to fix it. Overall, the bathrooms need a lot of work, and I’ll leave it at that.

AC in the room barely worked, very hot in the room, a lot of other people complained about it too, birds in the buffet restaurant pecking on bread trays, nobody does anything about it. Birds also were eating noodles from service trays. A stray dog was cooling of in the main pool.

I paid for an Oceanview king room, they gave a 2 beds an a view of the parking lot. Then the next morning wake up to the toilet not working & AC I go downstairs to be told they couldn’t change my until 5 after the manager proceeded to tell me to show him proof of the oceanview king room. The staff works hard and are always pleasant and accommodating. Food needs improvement, not always hot and limited variety. The rooms need more outlets to charge devices not at the desk, family friendly, pool was fun, small beach area, fun casino. There should be notice of what restaurants are open which days. The tour desk is very helpful, friendly and informative. Fans are needed in the Rendezvous bar area, very hot sitting there. GREAT sunsets!!

Our stay was nice! I was disappointed in the room (especially the bathroom) as it was old and rusted out in spots. It needs remodeling, but a staff member did explain why they cannot remodel at this time. The food was okay. Now for service - when you received service it was good, but good luck getting service consistently. There were times when I called to get extra washcloths and no one ever showed up. There were times when I called for room service and it showed up an hour and 15 minutes later. Things like that need to be improved on. Other than that, the outside grounds were nice and they had fun activities to partake in.

I stayed at IL Mare - PREFERRED CLUB ADULTS-ONLY Beachfront Bungalows. 10/10 cleaning, views, butler service, 24/7 room service …… order before 9pm! Order before 9pm or you would not get your food until 3am ! Other than that as a preferred club member take advantage of Zoetry which is another adults only half of Dreams; take advantage of their dining options 10/10. Very elegant, very top scale; their menu options changes daily. They have the best dining options. Other than those little the experience was 10/10.

Day one had a roach in my room. Noticed stain on bedding. Buffet food poor option selections. Drinks watery. Seafood restaurant was cute decor food 3/10 my room was on the 4th floor had to go to the 2nd floor to get ice. It was one lady that was nice and helpful to me when i came to the resort older lady asked me if I was hungry I could get something to eat before they closed since check in was taking forever. I appreciated her for that.

My room was not cleaned for the entire stay. Shower pressure was terrible. Had to shower with mostly HOT water every day. Brought to several staff members attention and nothing was done about shower and cleaning. Until the very last night of our stay when we were under the impression shower was fixed and it wasnt. We called front desk and requested to speak to Manager. At that point manager offered to move us rooms but we refused bcuz it was our last night there and it was late night. Plus, we were trying to enjoy a nice dinner night. Instead of wasting our evening moving rooms.

We spoke to employees at front desk to advice what we were experiencing they seemed like they were going to take care of the issue by sending someone but nothing was done. Every time I would return to room after a long day vacationing nothing was done. Room was in same exact condition I left it.
My husband and felt ignored. Almost if our satisfaction did not matter nor was it a priority. Also, saddened that my husband and I did not feel welcomed either upon checking in. It took forever. Staff was not attentive at all. I was very surprised and disappointed as we have stayed at other DREAMS RESORTS in other destinations we have traveled to.
I will be taking this experience to a higher up because definitely feel we need to get compensated or reimbursed for at least a nights stay. We paid and spent our hard earning money to have a pleasant vacation at an all inclusive known resort.

I arrived the first day and found a bed bug in my pillow. It was brushed off and I was told no it was not that they don’t have bed bugs in the island. I woke up with 27 bites. I was told it’s misquotes. I didn’t see a single misquote on the island. I had a dr confirm it was bed bug bites. Once I was gaslit and called a liar (from that pillow isn’t there, to no bugs on the island) they finally removed me from the resort. Do not recommend this resort. The food was terrible. The customer service even during check in was terrible unless you are club guest as I seen. We traveled with a family an eighteen and it was a bad experience. The only thing we enjoyed was the recreation activity. One family member couldn’t even use their bathroom sink because there wasn’t any water flow. One family member bathroom started flooding. And another family member bathroom ceiling was filled with water looked like it was going to burst luckily it didn’t. We order room service one night for our kids took four hours to get to the room and the food was great that the kids waited for nothing. It hard tough to bite and stale. Restaurants were good except for the buffet. Food was tough to eat and scrambled eggs tasted like water down eggs. Flies are everywhere and birds. One of my niece couldn’t even eat because she had a fear of birds. We asked if we can take her food to the room and they said it wasn’t allowed. Eventually we started buying food outside and bringing it back to our kids. The bar service was terrible especially on vacation you have to wait on drinks that was watered down. We had to go get our own alcohol. There was only one waitress who was kind and friendly but everyone else seemed like they didn’t want to be there as for the working staff. First time being in the Caribbean staff service sucked. Housekeepers were great, delivered when expected. It shouldn’t be an all inclusive if it’s going to be this bad.

I read bad reviews after booking however during my visit there it was the total opposite. The check in process was smooth and we were taken to the room immediately after check in. There are a variety of restaurants and food options however you must note that some restaurants are not open everyday for dinner as they alternate with the others on site. There were alcoholic drinks available from the morning period and the servers never once scrimped on the amounts. The pool area was clean and there were always adequate beach towels available as well as lounge chairs. There were daily activities as well as nightly entertainment and the adjoining casino also provided some entertainment when it was just too hot to be outside. Check out was alos smooth and they kept luggage on site until it was time to go to the airport.

IIMare - Alex the butler was the best. Alex goes out his way to make you feel welcome and have nice experience if it wasn’t for him this experience would’ve been worst.

Victor and his partner at the Blu bar were amazing wished everyone had the same work ethic.

The rest of the staff walk around like they don’t get paid enough and don’t want to be there. You ask for something you will receive it 20min later.

The world cafe buffet doesn’t have variety of food and flies are all over the food.

The service is exellent, but the staff and general management are terrible. No good appointments with the wash handling firm, so not sufficient towels in time.
Information about activities only by app, and no announcements in the elevator.
Halfway breakfast there is no more coffee, milk or juice.
Roomservice half an hour later than told when ordered.
Not sufficient tissues and toilet paper in stock, so they have to bring it later.
\"All inclusive\" is organized in overlapping times of service, so you have to ask and search for an open restaurant.
Menu's in the app are not the same as what the restaurants are offering.

I’m writing this review after having one of the worst hotel experiences of my life at Dreams Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation turned into a week of frustration, disappointment, and unsanitary conditions. Not only was the stay horrific, but I’ve also been struggling to get a refund, and the hotel has been ignoring my attempts to contact them.
Here’s what I experienced during my stay:
*Roaches walking around the lobby bar
*Multiple broken machines in the gym
*Gym towels were orange but stained black
*Pillowcases had holes in them
*Sheets, towels, and washcloths were consistently dirty and stained, even after requesting replacements every single day
*The housekeeping manager admitted the laundry was not being cleaned properly
*When we asked for ice, we were told the staff was too busy and had to get it ourselves—only to find the ice machine was broken
*The window shade was stained and full of holes
*Found random strands of hair (not ours) on the floor and in the bed
*Asked to speak to a manager and were told she was “in a meeting” and to “come back tomorrow” — completely dismissive
As for the dining experience:
*Staff often had no idea what food or drinks they were serving
*At World Café, food was left uncovered and birds and insects were diving into the trays
*Flies on the fruits and bread made it impossible to eat
*World Café closed between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. meaning we couldn’t get breakfast or lunch at all during that time

The property is not a 5 star hotel , it needs lots of upgrades and touch ups . Not much variety of the restaurants 3 restaurants. Room service terrible to get through and waited over an hour to get food once we got through . Waiters and waitresses are not friendly at all , waited a long time to get a drink or when ask for an extra item . We did get a massage was amazing ! But would not come back again to this hotel

I stayed at Dreams Resort in the Pods for 7 days to celebrate my 3rd anniversary. We booked expecting the 24/7 “butler service” that was advertised—but that wasn't the case.

Our daytime butler, Rug, was amazing—professional, responsive, and attentive from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. However, after his shift ended, we couldn’t reach anyone. Calls went unanswered and service stopped completely. For a resort that promotes luxury and round-the-clock support, this was really disappointing.

Thankfully, during the last 3 days of our stay, Romke took over the evening service and did an excellent job. Still, the inconsistent service left a bad impression, especially on a special trip.

The food was average—about a 5/10 depending on your taste. The room was beautiful, and housekeeping kept everything spotless.

Overall, the stay had some great moments, but for the price and the expectations set, the resort fell short.

The pool area was filthy that wasn’t for me and my wife. If you Google search it is beautiful but when you get there it’s nasty so we only stayed for one night and left the following day. We stayed on the 13th and we left on the 14th and I really need my refund backcause it wasn’t nice out there. It was very poorly. The food was cold and they made you wait for an hour for your food I upgrade on the liquor and they never gave me an upgrade. Cause it wasn’t nice out there. It was very poorly.
