I keep getting my review sent back to me for revising, and I can only guess it is because I am using certain \"trigger\" words. So, I will try a different approach and you will have to read between the lines. There were ashtrays everywhere. And people using them. If this does not bother you, then this is your place. I have to believe that this fact is not intended to be out there, as I never saw any mention of it in any previous reviews. Had I known, I certainly wouldn't have reserved here. The previous reviews did mention rude and unfriendly staff, which was clearly observed. But nowhere on the premises to exchange large bills for smaller ones in order to tip workers. So, this may have something to do with it.

I was really excited about staying here, but unfortunately the experience fell a little flat. The resort itself was nice, but there were a few disappointments. At the restaurants outside of the buffet, the portion sizes were surprisingly small, which made the dining experience feel a bit lacking. The alcohol selection was also limited, with only two beer options available during our stay.

Overall, the resort wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I had a good time, but I would describe the experience as just okay rather than exceptional

Our stay at The Rif at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao was an incredible all-inclusive experience that perfectly balanced modern luxury with a relaxed Caribbean vibe. The resort is beautifully designed, with spacious, stylish rooms and stunning ocean views that made every morning feel special. Having access to both The Rif and the neighboring Mangrove Beach resort added so much variety—from multiple pools and a fun water park to a wide selection of restaurants and bars. The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful, and the atmosphere was always lively yet relaxing. Its convenient location near Willemstad made it easy to explore the island while still enjoying the comfort of the resort. While service could occasionally be slow during busy times, it didn’t take away from what was overall a memorable and enjoyable getaway that I would absolutely recommend.

8/10 – A Solid Stay with a Few Hiccups

Overall, I’d give this hotel an 8/10 and would definitely recommend it.

The Good:

* Great location, close to the heart of Willemstad.
* The food was surprisingly good, with a buffet that offered plenty of tasty options.
* Cleanliness was a perfect 10/10—the hotel was spotless.
* Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
* Bonus points for the built-in USB ports, which saved me after I forgot my adapter.

The Not-So-Good:

* Customer service was a bit of a mystery. Some employees were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, while others seemed to be rude, and not accommodating
* The Wi-Fi was unreliable and frequently disconnected. We were even unable to log into our laptops to complete some work.

One Small Wish:
I would have loved a little more on-site entertainment, but that’s just a personal preference and would have simply elevated the experience.

Final Verdict:
Clean rooms, good food, and a convenient location made for a very enjoyable stay. Fix the Wi-Fi and make customer service more consistent, and this place could easily be a 8/10.

Only 2 issues. No entertainment or good music on the Rif side, way too quiet. The Rif side is not adults only, children everywhere. Also, no water in the refrigerator, they give you a water bottle which you have to continuously refill from the fountain.

We had an ocean view suite which was very spacious, but 2nd floor doesn’t give much ocean views. Room was clean and cold, but requested housekeeping items via the QR code went unanswered.

The QR code is expected to be used for all information & making dinner reservations at both properties. Each of us could only access a few of the restaurants but not all.

More detailed check-in information would have made our stay better: how reservations work (24 hrs in advance only - 3 seatings a night & order your entire meal at once).

Bar choices were extremely limited (2 beers on tap) no light beer. Bar service was slow, sometimes waiting 10-12 minutes while one bar tender worked very hard.

The sister property - offered outdoor buffet near pool/beach and inside buffet served tables with drinks of choice or you could draw your own draft.

Rif’s pools was huge, clean and had many many chairs & umbrellas; same at beach.

I would book again, but it shouldn’t take 3 days to figure out all the nuances.

This IS NOT an ADULTS ONLY resort as advertised! There are children everywhere! So if you're looking for an adult only location THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! As a mother of 4 I did NOT want to be on a mixed aged resort. Specifically picked the Rif because it was advertised and stated to be Adults ONLY! If i wanted to be around more kids I would have brought my own! Children were out of control in buffet and all over the Rif. Very upsetting! Also didn't receive celebration amenities that were promised as the point of the trip was to celebrate my college graduation and birthday. Neither were acknowledged by hotel as discussed before arrival.

The resort was pretty nice at first glance, but the room really disappointed us. This resort is pretty new, yet the room told a different story. Right away, we ran into safety issues: the toilet seat was broken when we arrived, and my daughter ended up slipping because of it. The shower head was broken too, so water kept splashing up toward the ceiling. When I mentioned these problems, we weren’t moved to another room, and it took about seven hours before someone came to fix the toilet seat. That delay only added to the sense that the room wasn’t properly ready for guests.

On top of the safety concerns, there were visible wear and stains on the walls and floor. It wasn’t the clean, fresh impression you’d expect from a newer resort, and that really took the gloss off the stay. Overall, the room experience left me feeling disappointed.

The pool area was nice and offered a welcome escape from the room drama. For families with kids, Mangrove seems to have more to offer, so that’s something to consider for future trips. Food wasn’t great either and didn’t help the overall vibe of the stay.

In the end, the trip had its moments—the pool, and the kid-friendly options at Mangrove—but the room issues and uneven service overshadowed the positives. If we were to return, I’d want a much better guarantee about prompt maintenance and room readiness, or we’d likely opt to stay at Mangrove for a more reliable experience overall.

I stayed for four nights celebrating wedding anniversary and had a great time but I had a few things that I wasn’t aware before going … there was not a lot of entertainment and the restaurants would only allow you to eat 1 appetizer and 1 entree and 1 dessert and I had ner experienced thjj in s at an all inclusive my understanding was all inclusive means if I choose to eat 2 entrees or 2 appetizers I should be able to do so but other than that it was good

Clean rooms, great AC, friendly and helpful staff, huge main swimming pool with a large variety and quantity of shaded poolside lounging furniture, great multiple bars, an awesome little pastry/cafe place (best cappuccino), and nice beaches. BUT with disappointing food quality, amateurish at best, this is not a 5-star resort. Strongly recommend that the Rif (as well as the adjoining sister property) focus more on getting high quality chefs to warrant more than an overall 3-star review. Don't waste your money staying there.

Very clean resort the staff 7 out of 10 are rude or just seem mad to be there. No robes in room unless you’re VIP. Restaurants aren’t really good and there’s a limit to the all inclusive. The à la carte restaurants aren’t really à la cart is a set menu and everyone is getting the same thing. While in restaurants or buffet you cannot get drinks only beer and wine. It wasn’t about island time it was more about very bad customer service. Staff would take your order and forget about you. In the buffet nobody comes up to you to take an order or anything no water or drink order taken. Maybe out of the 5 nights 6 days only about 3 times did someone come to us to ask if we wanted a drink. The pools are beautiful and the drinks are okay. I would return but would have to be on top of staff to be a lil bit quicker. No water bottles on resort which they do give a bottle for you to refill with water which I prefer water bottles.

The young lady who checked us in was amazing and very kind and helpful. I did not get her name but she had short blond hair. She was great. There were also several other employees who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Chunalies greeted us with a warm smile and graciousness from our first encounter until we left. She exemplified excellent customer service and a few others should follow her lead . She was very engaging and made sure we had whatever we requested! Rachel at the bar beside the pool was nice as well. Jayden was helpful as well. Kendrick started off ok but as the days wore on we seemed to be more of a nuisance to him as opposed to valued customers. He has to do better! Raja at the omelet station was nice and helpful every encounter. Georgia who worked the buffet was nice, so was the other young lady with the reddish hair . I did not get her name unfortunately. The manager at the buffet a young lady was very accommodating and ensured that we had everything we need. Her name may have been Shawntell. On the other hand Kristy who worked the buffet either two or three nights seemed less than concerned about our needs. In fact she continued to walk pass us pretty much ignoring our requests for drinks. Her customer service skills were abysmal at best. I’m not sure of how the culture is but we are used to being served drinks during our meal. At a minimum water should have been offered Even that was too much for her. She seemed to be annoyed that we were there.

Well kept property in a faboulous location. Pristine waters and great beach. Food was generally very good at the buffet. Specialty restaurants good, except the Italian. Staff very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping kept our room very clean, however getting required towels seemed to be a challenge. On the opposite, beach towels were plenty and you could take more than one per person.

One real negative was the docking of an huge oil tanker that blocked the view to the ocean. It stayed there for three days. Cruise ships also dock by the resort, however they usually dock further ahead and do not block the view.

At the right price, this resort offers very good value and a very relaxing vacation. I would visit again.

The staff was fine. Some people seemed very happy to help, most only communicated via nods. The best staff was at the cafe, they were always friendly.

We wish the pool was open a bit later, the bar is staffed but the area near the pool was empty most nights. The evenings on the resort were surprisingly quiet, there’s almost no nightlife.

The AC in our room was stuck at 20C, we asked many times to have it unlocked or at least turn it to 22C, but didn’t get it.

The restaurants were meh. Skip Maya, Sofra was great, the seafood tavern was pretty good too! Honestly the buffet was pretty good, the food was consistently tasty and we ended up opting to just eat at the buffet for dinner most nights.

Overall we enjoyed the stay, the room was very nice, just needed a good dusting up high (I’m 6’3” and could see a thick layer of dust on the tops of most furniture). The swim up pool was awesome to relax in and sit by during the evenings.

Beautiful resort! Went for our honeymoon and we were in paradise.
The food was honestly pretty good, especially the Italian and Turkish restaurants. The buffet had decent selections and they would switch it up a bit daily. Get the pina coladas… we were obsessed with them.
Staff were friendly but could take their time (island time!) but we didn’t mind. Pools were beautiful and clean, as well as the beaches. There were even a few cute cats around the resort that seemed taken care of. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Our trip to Curaçao at Rif at Mangrove Beach Corendon All-Inclusive Resort Curacao was a great experience overall. The resort is very family-friendly, with plenty to do and a layout that makes everything easy and convenient.

The city of Willemstad is absolutely beautiful—colorful, vibrant, and definitely worth exploring outside the resort.

Like most all-inclusives, the food was good, but not quite at the level that makes it a standout. After a few days, you find yourself wanting a little more variety or something more authentic.

Overall, it’s a great destination—especially for families—and Curaçao itself really adds to the experience.

My partner and I had the most amazing stay at the Rif. There were so many different options to choose to dine and eat throughout the day. Reservations have to be made to eat at some restaurants but if you don’t catch them on time, the buffet breakfast and dinner were great. Also, the resort is located a walking distance from the Queen Emma bridge. The pool and beaches were so relaxing and there is plenty of space to lounge. We would definitely stay at the resort again!

I found the overall experience to be extremely disappointing from start to finish. What should have been a seamless stay turned into a series of ongoing inconveniences—from difficulties at check-in, to challenges securing restaurant reservations, to excessive delays even when attempting to obtain a simple drink, which is particularly concerning for an all-inclusive property.

Additionally, much of the staff appeared unhelpful, and at times, outright discourteous and unaccommodating. This lack of hospitality significantly detracted from the experience.

Most concerning, both my companion and I became ill with what appeared to be food poisoning during our stay, raising serious concerns about food safety and quality standards.

Given the premium price point, I had anticipated a far higher level of service, organization, and overall guest care. Unfortunately, the experience fell well below expectations and did not reflect the value paid.

The room was okay but the mattress was terrible and the pillows were paper thin. Also we never had hot water while we were there. Apparently something was wrong with the water heating. The pool was nice as were the cabanas. The restaurant optoons were fine but we did not like that all of them were open air. There was never a time when you ate inside. There were lots of pigeons trying to pick up a meal in the dining areas and there were flies at the harbor restaurant.

Absolute amazing time my girlfriend and I had. Seriously one of the best vacations we’ve ever been on. First I’ll start with the staff, they were absolutely amazing. Saw some mixed reviews online about the staff but overall everyone was extremely helpful and super kind. The front desk helped with excursions and renting taxis and such. The bartenders were absolutely amazing. They were seriously super kind and very helpful and were always making sure everyone had something. We honestly built some friendships with some of the bartenders due to how nice they were.

The property was extremely clean that my girlfriend and I almost had to LOOK for stuff that wasn’t clean or was dirty. There were always people circling around the beaches and entire resort really just cleaning up.

We got the swim up room and it was absolutely amazing. Perfect in the morning for getting a tan and pool was so refreshing especially after a Long Beach day. The room was always clean and the mini bar was always stocked with beers sodas etc.

Overall a review I’d give a solid 11/10 and I really mean that it was so much fun and honestly sad it’s over lol. Everyone, the front desk, the cleaning crew, bell boys and ESPECIALLY I cannot stress it enough the BEST bartenders I have ever met in my entire life and wish I was overreacting. Seriously a great time, so much to do and if you plan on staying I 100% recommend staying at The Rif because you also get both resorts.

Came here to celebrate my best friend’s birthday based on the reviews… and I wish we hadn’t.
The food? Terrible. Not “meh,” not “could be better”—straight up terrible. The only safe options were fruit and juice. And don’t get excited about room service—it’s $15 just for them to bring you buffet food… yes, buffet food.
The drinks were just as bad. No real name-brand liquor, just bottom-shelf options like some vodka called “Chihuahua”—and trust me, it tasted exactly how you’d expect. It was dog awful!!!!!
Now here’s the kicker: the ONLY decent bar is at the pool… in the kids’ section. So imagine trying to enjoy your drink while kids are cannonballing, splashing, and jumping all around you. Meanwhile, the “quiet” pool has no comparable bar setup. Make it make sense.
No good DJ, no vibe, no solid music playlist—just a very low-energy atmosphere overall. The shows and entertainment? Boring and completely forgettable.
For the price, this place is absolutely not worth it.

I had a really pleasant stay at this property. The room was clean and well-maintained, which immediately made me feel comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit, always ready to assist with any questions or requests.
One of the highlights was the pool area—it was clean, relaxing, and a great place to unwind.
The only downside was the air conditioning. It seemed to be programmed to turn off and on intermittently, which made the room warm at times and caused some discomfort while sleeping.

Got the worst rooms facing a parking lot. Tv was not working in our room. Called reception to send someone to fix it. No one came. Extra towels and pillows were requested several times, in person at reception and by calling 4 to 5 times. No one responded to the request duringbour 3 day stay. None of the restaurants were available to book. Only one the turkish restaurant and we arrived on time. But they told us they cannot take order till enire party is at the table. Terrible service on a holiday. Staff at cocierge counter were rude and the restaurant reservation person was extremely rude. The propety does not feel like a Hilton. The management has no customer service rules. I would not recommend this property to anyone. It was our first visit to Curacao, and was very disappointing.

The food was good- the buffet offered quite the variety of dishes which was helpful due to personal dietary restrictions/limitations!

I am an avid traveler, especially to the Caribbean and I was quite disappointed with my stay at The Rif in Curacao. Firstly, they never responded to any of my messages on the app leading up to my stay to confirm a crib for my son and balloon decor for the room. All of wish I had to take care of once I landed. Then, once we arrived and checked in, I had to call front desk multiple times for the crib. We waited in the room for 2 hours just to ensure arrival. Next, the hospitality from the staff was poor. When walking in the halls, housekeeping does not acknowledge you or say, \"Good Morning\". We would always say it first and sometimes not get a response back. I can't say all but quite a few were like this. The buffet is just average and the options are limited. The specialty restaurants are limited with small portion sizes. The waitstaff at the restaurants were the same, some will greet you and others would not. During our 5 days there, we had someone come around twice to offer coffee and tea during breakfast. Also, it is very much a self-service place. While at the beach or pool, you have to get your own drinks at the bar. The lady at the towel stand gave me an attitude when I asked for 3 towels for my family of 3 and told me should only give me two, when I had to state again that I have 2 other family members that need this. Nathanial, the attendant that helped with our luggage on arrival was very nice and courteous. I will never return to the Rif.

When we arrived around 2pm, our room was not ready until 4pm. Went back to check at 4pm, still not ready. It was around 4:30pm before we got a room. Walking around the room in bare feet, your feet get black and sticky. There is no table service at this resort for drinks. Staff is not as friendly compared to other resorts. Food was just okay, not a lot of flavor.

The property was easy to navigate. The restaurants were hard to get reservations at but we were able to go to them. Each restaurant had their own way of serving food, became a little confusing. The resort was clean and friendly and when we arrived they up graded our room free of charge! Just remember you need to check your plugs for the outlets, we needed to bring converters. Overall a great stay and would go again!

Staff was beyond rude, sarcastic and I did not feel like I was wanted there. We, group of 20 people encounter so many times were the staff did the most. At one point we ordered food and they told us no because were ordering too much food, they didn't bring out certain food we asked for. They said no to making some drinks, just overall bad customer service skills.

Beautiful beach with access to two large pools and a waterpark. The Barbecue and Turkish restaurants were our favorite. We always ate at the 6pm sitting and never had an issue with service or the food being cold. All staff were super friendly and accommodating. Would recommend and stay there again in the future:)

The beach was a bit of a disappointment. Not a great beach, and the view was obstructed every day by docked cruise ships. The property itself is very nice, lots of amenities, clean, and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful. The service in the ala carte restaurants was the slowest I’ve seen anywhere, but they were all friendly. The food was just ok. I’ve stayed at several all inclusive resorts before, plus cruises, and expected better dining options.
