Room was okish. PROBLEM 1.... You can't manage or control the water temperature of the shower. The first night was so hot we couldnt bathe well. By the next evening they adjusted and it was ok. The next morning it was ridiculously hot again. PROBLEM 2, minor but an issue.... Soap in the shower read as conditioning shampoo, the on by the sink was hand wash, body wash....... How stupid..... Only when I asked the reception did they say, its all the same thing. PROBLEM 3... Bathroom leaked into the bed area..... Not alot but still a leak..... PROBLEM 4.... No direct contact, no phone to the reception area..... PROBLEM 5.....There was a roach in the room and this was the last straw..... The response by reception was less than stellar.... Like it seemed to be a common thing...i asked to be moved to another room and they said they were completely booked.... All they could provide was insecticide..........I DO NOT RECOMMEND...... Right now i am sitting in my towel at the reception as they close up at 10pm.....thank god this is my last night.

The rooms were okay a bit on the rustic side. The room toiletries were limited . The position of the microwave at the bottom of the kitchen cupboard was not very user friendly.
The cleaning staff , Shalani in the dining area and the main security guard were very pleasant. The front desk staff were okay as they were not very engaging or helpful.
In addition, I do not understand why there were no laundry services available. We were advised by the front desk that we would need to carry our laundry to the laundrette located in Punda. I would not say that this hotel is a 4 star hotel as advertised.

The Penthouse apartment were just right for us and gave a great view of the pool and beyond. The urban pool was fantastic as was the breakfast plan we purchased. I would suggest that someone rake the sand and organize the lounge chairs to each night to give a neater appearance. The bar staff is friendly but needs to be more attentive to the customers. Sometimes they would be on their phones & would often say about an advertised happy hour menu \"we don't have that drink today\". When Shalini was there she was able to keep them in line and they worked harder. Shalini gets 5 stars from us as the top staff member we interacted with. Rooms weren't cleaned at a consistent time, often happening late afternnoon when we needed to shower. Hiring more housekeeping staff would help.

The Ritz Hotel is in a great location for walking to Willemstad downtown area where there are many restaurants, bars, and shopping.You can easily get by without renting a car. 24-7 Taxi has reasonable prices and can be booked hours and days ahead of time. We booked a couple of tours that picked us up right in front of the hotel. I would highly recommend the Complete Island Tour...very informative! Every day we walked across the small bridges to Punda area and also across the Swinging Bridge to Otrobanda. Colourful buildings & murals to see! Even with the small criticisms, the Ritz a very nice hotel and was perfect for us.

I like that it located not far from many attractions. The pool area was nice with man made beach. However the property itself is outdated. The standard room we had the bed was uncomfortable and rocked. There wasn’t enough outlets in the room only 3. The worse part was washing with huge towels, they don’t offer small wash cloths we use in the states,

We had a recurring sewer smell in the shower. They felt they had fixed the situation by putting a can of deodorant spray in the bathroom, We did have one day with no smell, but when I had a shower it flooded the bathroom as the drain was plugged. The power would shut off randomly at night, not the whole resort, just two or three rooms beside us. It was beginning to feel personal. They always were able to fix it quickly, just weird to only happen to a few rooms.

But I didn’t enjoy my stay at all I had a very early morning flight where I ended up arriving in CURACAO at 9 AM I requested an early check-in and the agent told me that check-in is at 4PM, which is very understandable. I did not pay attention to see the check-in was so late. The agent then tell me he’ll try his best to get the room ready early and then give me a call once the room is done. I’ve never received a call or a text message on WhatsApp saying my room was ready up until I went to him and then he finally checked and he saw that the room was ready. Ice I entered the room there were stain in the walls. I spent most of my time in the room, but unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy it because none of my TVs were working. I asked for a TV remote for one of them. I ended up leaving and never receiving one other than the stains on the wall. It was really nice. It felt very comfortable. If you are looking for something that’s fully equipped like a home it’s the best place for you, but please do know that if you’re not arriving on a late night European flight that’s not the hotel for you.

The Ritz Village Hotel was such a disappointment. I saw a review comparing it to staying in a prison — and honestly, they weren’t lying. This place needs a full remodel ASAP.
Cold water and staff came in after me stating 4 times to not enter.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. I stayed in the deluxe suite with a poolside view balcony. The location is perfect for traveling to the east and west ends of Curacao, as it's centrally located on the island. Punda and Otrobanda were about a 15 to 20 minute comfortable walk. There, you will encounter the Queen Emma bridge, a must-see but even better at night. You will also find the floating market has plenty of souvenir shops, great local eats. Plaza Bieu is a must! Don't miss out on the beauty of Klein Curacao for diving and Karackter Beach for the most beautiful sunset your eyes have ever seen! Hope this helps.

The staff was lovely Connie was my ultimate favorite . She goes above & beyond the norm. Twice she was the only one working breakfast. She was the cook, the cleaning of tables , had to literally run to get people what they asked for.m as she was left alone. Yet she kept her cool , her lovely smile & her witty personality is just beautiful. The nighttime bartender Kai could use some customer service help & coaching from Connie cause Kai likes to sit on his butt talking to friends rather than greet guests when they arrive & makes some wait 5-7. Minutes before asking what they would like. So we left a day early as he does not impress. Everyone else on staff we encountered was lovely.

The hotel is not as it appears in the photos, I felt completely deceived because I went based on the photos. I arrived, looked and wanted a refund and they didn't do it. I left the hotel and went somewhere else.
I would never go back and I don't recommend it either.

If you decide to stay at The Ritz Village Hotel you will need to bring the following.. a washcloth they do not provide them: a blanket if you get cold easily the beds just have a single sheet on them: last a tolerance or cold showers they do not have hot water and make sure you bring shower shoes. The shower head is also located in the corner of the shower against the wall if you move it you flood the bathroom. The shower was also very small in my room. The room doesn't have a hair dryer, iron or ironing board. If you decide on getting the breakfast package, breakfast is just okay, nothing to write home about. I had to go through a walkway to get back and forth to my room. I felt it was a little unsafe because there was no lights on for the first couple of days I was there.

Great affordable stay. Here's a quick review breaking down a few things:

1) The hotel was at full capacity during my stay but it didn't feel overwhelming.

2) You can get a vehicle to move around the island however public transport is very reliable and Punda is close to quite a lot.

3) Staff are pretty good- especially the staff I interacted with- Kazie, Aldrich, Russel & Steffania were all really interactive and pleasant.

4) Housekeeping is good- fresh towels at your request.

5) Food from the restaurant is decent as well.

Overall a quite enjoyable stay. No complaints.

It's located in a very convenient location close to Punda and Otrabanda. Workers are friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Hotel is quiet and peaceful. Whether you are here for work or fun, it's provides the environment you require.
It has 2 pools, wherein 1 pool area has a bar and restaurant with choices of bar, table or poolside seating.
Also bare in mind the hotel has 2 sections. One newly built with modern amenities and the other is a renovated historical building (a former packaging factory).
Highly recommend. So choose which side suits you best

Inside the gates it's very safe and nice, however the neighborhood the property is in is full of dilapidated homes. Not a deal breaker because many of the buildings on the island look like this. Still a beautiful property and very well kept. The architecture in the area is amazing. My only gripe is that there is no hot water at times in the room I stayed. Otherwise my stay was perfect.

This is a whole complex with all sorts of rooms. It’s like someone constructed a resort in the middle of the city. Check in was flawless, the AC remote and bathroom light didn’t work and were fixed within minutes.

The rooms are so spacious. They are literally studio apartments. I will be staying here every time I’m in Curaçao. It’s located in a hip part of town (Scharloo) with a 10 minute, safe, walk to Punda and Pietermaai.

It’s a nice property for the price. Upon arrival we got popsicles and was able to store our luggage in a secure room until our room was ready. The pool was open late I think until 10 The bar and restaurant is right next to the pool and played decent music all night. We booked the Apartment Penthouse and they decorated for my boyfriend’s birthday. You are able to cook in your room. On the property there is a mini market and a car rental company. Only 1 TV worked, the AC worked, there are no washcloths, ironing board but no iron. There’s no safe in the room but you can get a key to lock your stuff in a closet for $200. So we just opt for no housekeeping. The rooms have Euro chargers and USB ports but only 1 side worked. They give you tickets for a free drink but it’s only for local rum. The staff is extremely friendly. Location is perfect. We were walking distance from Punda and the floating bridge. At night we used the 24/7 app for taxis. I’m a resort girlie so I wouldn’t stay here again but it was decent.

I came early for check in and the offered me to store my luggage. Walking distance into the town where all the hot hang out spots are.
Front desk staff and maintenance was great.
The bar staff are really chill and open to trying to make drinks off the menu.
The Mini market always has fresh pasteries in the morning and very friendly.
Ohh the staff made sure I watched my El Classico game and yes Barcelona won.
Will be back definitely…

I HAVE to comment Luis at the front desk .
His customer service was excellent .
I spent 1 night in Curaçao and was so happy Luis answered ever question I even sat at the desk almost 10pm because of his hospitality doing my work but just being in his presence .I felt safe and comfortable. A must vist hotel just to see Luis .
This only thing I was upset about is that I was hoping to get a photo with Luis and did not .
But the service was great

Although clean it is nowhere near what was advertised. Basic accommodation
No real amenities and staff was rather unhelpful - seemed to be more interested in smoking than ensuring guests had basic things like bottled water on hand after hours.
Leaves a lot to be desired for when it comes to showering in the room. One tap and depending how full the hotel is you will either get freezing or scalding hot water. One tap so you can't even adjust the temperature yourself
Will definitely not recommend nor stay here again if ever back in the area

The penthouse suite has a great ecstatic and has a lot of utilities inside the room with a good amount of space. The breakfast was tasty and a decent variety. The lighting in the bathroom needs improvement and TVs need to be configured properly as navigation on channels proved difficult.

Very interesting experience. Colorful buildings. An old ice cream factory turned hotel/hostel/residence. Pool on property and parking usually available. I didn't get the breakfast package but it was mediocre. $22 or so a person. Worth it just to try but it's best to venture out. The pool was nice. No hot tub. The staff were nice and informative. Also no really hot water, just tolerable enough to take a warm shower with open stall style. Yes, water will get on the floor even if you're careful. It was quaint for what it was and overall I would stay here again.

We stayed on the Ritz for 10 days. The main rooms are very small, in the room description l, the rooms are sound proof, which they are not we could hear the conversations ams snoring of our neighbors, black out curtains, which there were not, our room faced the service desk which was very bright, it was lile tjere was a light on in the room all night. Bedding, they only provided sheets and 1 pillow for 2 people, I requested additional pillows and blankets, the blacket was a very thin throw blanket. When room service cleaned the room and they exchanged the towels (set of 2) we only got 1 set in return, i had to ask every time for another set. Most of the front desk staff were unpleasent.
The location was not quite as close as we expected, but still not too far from downtown. The main pool was nice, with a fun bar.

A nice, large and clean room. The fridge was a bit old and frosted up. It’s ready for replacement. We broke a glass late one night and it would have been nice to have a broom and dust pan in house. Easy check in. Incredible interesting “village”. A little museum for the history (unexpected). Decor of sculptures from your preferal vision looks like real people so gives an atmosphere of people around when in reality it’s just you and your partner. Lending libraries. Very unique! Would definitely stay here again. Are only here for 1 night disappointingly because there’s a lot to experience in the Ritz Village.

Breakfast was nice and staff was responsive. Nice view from the balcony but i didnt get to enjoy it because the way it was built, there is a screen separating the living room area to the balcony
You can only open the screen from the inside but cant close it from the outside balcony Due to that, mosquitoes enters the apartment. Not sure way the developer didnt put a switch on the outside to close the screen to prevent mosquitoes from entering the apartment, its such an easy fix but they cut corners. Also at night when ligjts are on in the apartment, other guests can see inside, there should be a curtain separating at the screen door to the balcony for privacy. Again, the developer cutting corners, not sure why deveopler wants guests to look into otther guests apartment. I wouldn't stay here again

I had a great stay and the people that work their are great people. If you are staying at the basic or standard rooms it is like staying at a motel 6 in the states. The area looks shady, but you have nothing to worry about. You can walk to the town where the fun is in about 10 minutes and the taxis are available 24/7. The pool is great and for the price this place is a gem. My only issue was a bed was a bit noisy....

A local called it a “crack house hotel”! Not nice. Old rooms are disgusting. 8 inch drop into room. Curtains are old and gross. Just run down and not nice at all. Restaurant closed at 10 pm, could not get food. Long walk to find anything else. Very disappointing, pictures on line gave a different impression, very deceiving.

This is a cool little hotel with lots of history. Located in the city's heart, you can walk everywhere from the location and ample parking. It has 2 pools and a nice beach/pool at the top of the hill. My only complaint is they don't have mini-fridges in the room.

The description of the resort was very deceiving. The resort is more for college students if you do not get one of the apartments to stay in. Very dark old rooms.

I did not like that fact that I booked a standard room that I had to pay money to get a beach towel when they have pools on the property. The deluxe apartments the towel was included. The standard rooms need an upgrade bad. No concierge to help with luggage. Sometimes no hot water.

This hotel is definitely overlooked , I have a penthouse suite apartment. I felt safe , comfortable. Staff was amazing I like how they keep the front gate closed at night with two security’s onsite. Downtown you can really walk. I felt really safe I was on a solo trip but I had no worries in this hotel . Room was not bad at all ! Pool area was clean.

Garbage & cigarette butts, empty bottles around both pools.
Waitresses rude & don't make you feel welcome, stopped going to restaurant 2nd day.( we were there for 3 weeks) front desk ladies rude and lots of attitude. Louises, front desk were great
Housekeeping staff awesome, very friendly.
J.J. & Russell also great, bartenders.

The place is near everything and walking distance of things to see and not far to go to visit beaches. You can reach the west end of the island in 60 minutes. We had a small kitchen and used it every day for breakfast and lunch or dinner. We found local place plaza Bieu where you can get local cuisine for $11 so we ate take out from there. The two pools are nice but the bigger ones want you to eat and drink their stuff. Not super clean and room is dark. Bring European plug to charge your phone.
