I chose the Royal Sea Aquarium Resort for a solo birthday trip, and overall I had a good experience. The location was convenient, and I appreciated the shuttle service, which offered rides to downtown Willemstad, the Curaçao sign, the Curaçao Liqueur Distillery, grocery stores, and evening trips into town. This was especially helpful since I did not rent a car.

The staff was friendly and responsive throughout my stay. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of my room upon arrival. The shower curtain was dirty and needed to be replaced, and the condition of the bedding made me question whether the sheets had been changed before check-in. My concerns were addressed when I brought them to the staff's attention, but I believe housekeeping standards and room inspections could be improved.

One of the highlights of my trip was Olas y Copas, the restaurant next to the resort. The food was excellent, the breakfast was very good, and Diego and his team were phenomenal. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind.

I also enjoyed visiting the Sea Aquarium. The interactive exhibits were fun and allowed visitors to get up close to the animals. One tip: if you participate in feeding the sharks, keep an eye on the birds. They are surprisingly aggressive and may take the food right out of your hand. I learned that the hard way!

Overall, I enjoyed my birthday trip and appreciated the location, shuttle service, nearby attractions, and dining options.

Kelly was not too hospitable and all the other Front Desk staff was great! She seemed as if she wasn’t happy to be there. We come on vacation to see cheerful, happy things, but I didn’t get that energy from her. Made it a gloom hoping she wasn’t at the desk when I went in for a question.
The Resort is located in a centralized location, close to everything. Casino, Mambo Beach, Downtown, Restaurants, etc. I have to come back and have a redo.

My wife and I have been traveling to Curcauo now for 6 years straight now and we have found that this place for us is a hidden gem. From arrival to departure the staff were always on point. Our little private beach was amazing with tons of fish privacy. A 5 minute walk to Mambo Beach where there is enough to do from live music to great food. We will most definitely be returning back ASAP.

The resort is located on a gorgeous piece of land connected to the mainland by a bridge, with access to a beautiful white sand private beach on a narrow straight of turquoise water sheltered from the waves of the open ocean. Our room was perfect, with a walkout patio leading to the pools and the ocean horizon as a backdrop. The faculty were friendly, very helpful and attentive. The food at the nearby restaurants was delicious with more great service. Absolutely pristine location, loved every second we had there!

Our stay in Curaçao was absolutely incredible. We stayed here for our babymoon. The room was spacious and beautifully set up with a full living room and kitchen stocked with every accessory we needed during our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect, with a private beach just steps away and stunning sunset views from our room every single night.

We also loved that the hotel provided complimentary snorkel gear and swimming accessories, which made relaxing by the water even more enjoyable. Free parking for our rental car was another huge plus. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The on-site restaurant was delicious and quickly became one of our favorite spots.

We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Curaçao!

Room was really spacy and nice, but there are fines for everything, beach towels, later check out, etc.
The hotel is hard to find at first, there is no breakfast available, just a really pricy restaurant on the property, that however does not belong to the hotel. Beach is really nice and well maintained, pool and snorkeling outside on the coast is nice. Cleaning was spotless every day, parking was available. Supermarket is quite far from the property, it is good to have a rental car.

Great resort, our room was ocean view and overlooking the aquarium. We were able to watch the dolphins from our balcony. We very much enjoyed eating at the restaurant that is right on the property. It was a 5 minute (if that) walk from our room to sitting at a table overlooking the beach and ocean. Diego and his staff were amazing. We were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the brisket that Diego had smoked for 16 hours. We rented a car and the included parking with our stay was a 7 minute walk from our room. The parking lot is monitored by security personnel. If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend the resort, the restaurant and Curacao!! We are already planning next year’s trip. Definitely staying at this resort again.

Our children loved the pools and beach. Snorkeling was great just at our lagoon. Most of the staff was friendly. They helped with ordering taxis and when we needed an extra blanket. The pool bar was nice to have and the restaurant next door is excellent! We ate there several times. Close to mambo beach and many other restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again.

We feel so lucky to have discovered this wonderfully quaint property. Friendly accommodating service such as a shuttle to the supermarket on Saturday evening and weekdays to downtown. The approachable staff is available 24 hours for questions and needs. They arranged for delivery of a rental car for only $45 for 24 hours. We were upgraded to a suite which was spacious and furnished with modern furniture. Its veranda had gorgeous views of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets. The pool area had plenty of seating and the small private beach featured the turquoise blue water Curacao is famous for. Mambo Boulevard is a few minutes walk with a plethora of shops and restaurants and beach clubs. The western beaches are a 25-minute drive. We look forward to returning to the Royal Sea!

I love the fact the property is situated on its own private island. The views are amazing. However, the room itself is nicely decorated but outdated. The bathroom was not very clean, there was a lot of hair and dirt in the bath tub, the sink stopper was not in it’s proper place and there is an air purifier that you will be responsible to dump once it fills with water. A few cons but overall My husband and I enjoyed our stay, we made the best of it. The location is great, the vibe is great, easy access to food and/or entertainment. I wouldn’t mind staying here again , of course cleanliness would certainly have to be up to par.

I’m honestly confused how anyone could leave a bad review for this place. The so-called “rules” people mention are just basic expectations to keep the property clean—nothing unreasonable at all. I booked this resort for my boyfriend’s 40th birthday, and the staff was amazing. I had a lot of questions, and they were always quick to respond and never gave me any attitude. Freddie Perez initially helped me get in touch with the front desk, and Chris became my main contact. He was incredibly patient and even helped with a last-minute request to set up a gift in the room, which exceeded my expectations. I’d recommend making those requests early, though—that part was on me. I originally considered staying somewhere downtown like the Renaissance or Ritz, but I’m so glad we chose this resort instead. Having our own beach was incredible, and it’s within walking distance to Mambo Beach, which has great food and bars (Mood Beach is a must). There’s no Uber or Lyft, but we didn’t need a rental car. The resort can call a cab, and downtown is only about 15 minutes away for $20. The peaceful atmosphere was much better than staying in a busy area. We stayed in a junior suite with two twin beds—small, but manageable. The back porch overlooking the pool and hot tub made for a perfect, quiet sunset spot. They provide snorkels, towels, and a blow dryer. The only downside is the aquarium isn’t included, but it’s affordable and worth it. I’d definitely stay here again!

We booked the Junior Suite based on what was represented by the hotel in the photos showing that room. We booked this room for the last 3 days of our vacation because this room showed a bright, clean room w/ beamed, vaulted ceilings & offered an ocean view. We also specifically requested 3 months in advance, not to be on the first floor. When we arrived, the room we got was a dark, first floor room w/ flat ceilings, pool view, not ocean view & it looked like an old Holiday Inn. We were not pleased, requested what we had booked based on the photos represented in the website & was told this is what you get because it is a timeshare hotel & they can put us in whatever room they want when we arrive.

Customer service was very poor. We were approached on 3 different occasions go our way to our room and ask if we stay at the hotel and notice people of other races wasn’t being asked. They made us so uncomfortable we only use the beach once, we never use the or went back on the beach for the 5 days. The view I paid for was not what I got. Loud noise constantly coming from the construction and the ice machine next to our hotel. Hotel room is outdated! It was not worth the price! I will not recommend this place. I will do a better research next time!

The room itself it’s ok, specially if you plan to rent a car and venture around. The restaurant doesn’t have its own restaurant (no room service) but there is one right next to it and many options in Mambo beach. For the price we paid we wouldn’t stay here again but if you find a deal it could be worth it. Bed was very comfortable and the little beach on property is very nice for kids.

the property does has great location.
The kitchenette is not equipped well to accommodate needs of the guest. there are two plates, two cups etc. very limited dishes. I requested to add shampoo to the dispencer and it was not done, they told the other guest to buy it yourself. they told me it's not a hotel, its a time share which means to me the owner who is renting does not care. overall if you don't care of the service its ok.

I think this could have been a 5 star review but it got off on the wrong foot. Otherwise if you are looking for a quiet peaceful beautiful spot to relax in Curaçao, this was quite simply blissful.

The room was large, clean and well air-conditioned. There was a nice pool area which was great for watching the sunset, but I didn’t much use the pool, for there was a cute little beach strip where you can swim in clear blue waters and even snorkel there, equipment available from the front desk.

The restaurant just next to the little beach serves meals throughout the day, which had pretty good food, but if you fancy a wander, there is an array of restaurants about 10 min walk away.

So why didn’t I give them 5 stars instead of 4? Although the bedroom was very tastefully done, the e bathroom looked like it was stuck in the 1970s. I booked a room that was “with a sea view”. Yes, you can see the sea from the room, but the view was predominantly a mechanical digger from the aquarium next door. Even though I was treated to a little dolphin show one afternoon, it still feels a right cheek advertising the room as having a view. It also started with a bad impression when checking in. I was told breakfast was definitely not included even though I had booked it with. Although they did correct themselves, it just got things off on a wrong foot. At the end of my first hour there, this would have been a 2 star review, but the charm of the place gradually won me over.

Very clean pools and jacuzzi.
Nice small beach. For resort guests only. The resort offers free transportation to grocery store and to Punda.

We recently stayed at Royal See Curaçao with our extended family, booking three rooms, and overall we had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and the view was absolutely spectacular — one of the best we’ve had in Curaçao. The location is also excellent, close to the beach and main attractions.

The only part of our stay that left us disappointed was the check-out experience. Since our flight was later in the evening, we asked if we could have a late check-out for at least one of our rooms so we could shower and change after spending the day at the beach. We were told that wasn’t possible, but that the hotel could provide a space to change and shower instead. Unfortunately, this offer was later withdrawn by management, and we were told to use the small outdoor beach bathroom instead — not ideal for a large family.

What made this more frustrating was that the manager mentioned there were available rooms until the next day, yet still refused to let us use one for just two extra hours, unless we paid for a full additional night. While we understand hotel policies, a bit more flexibility and customer care would have made a big difference.

That being said, everything else about our stay was fantastic — the property, the views, and the overall atmosphere made for a great family vacation. With a little more consideration at check-out, this hotel would easily deserve a full five stars.

We had a wonderful experience at The Royal Sea Aquarium. We couldn't make it to Curacao on the dates we were booked at the Sea Aquarium because our plane needed some maintenance and we missed our connection. The resort changed the dates for our stay( it was not refundable) and we were able to fly to Curaçao few weeks later and enjoy our vacation. We are forever grateful to the resort for helping us out and changing our reservation. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The resort is clean, well maintained. Rooms were very spacious, gorgeous, comfortable beds ,clean crisp linens and towels. Sunset view from resort is amazing. We had the one bedroom with ocean view it was lovely.
Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing laid back stay with private beach, which by the way is absolutely stunning. Clean,quiet, gorgeous close to everything. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Royal Sea Aquarium. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We particularly appreciated the fact that the resort is small and quiet, it’s easy to get around. We had a wonderfull view on the ocean. The room was super clean. The food at the restaurant was really good too.
