The staff was outstanding! Need a transfer to and from the airport, they are attentive, timely and oh so nice! Extra towels or blankets, they're response is immediate. Candidly, the staff and hotel rivaled 5 star resorts my husband and I have stayed at with regards to service and hospitality. A special thank you to Marsha who cheerfully drove us back to the airport at 4am. Restaurants within walking distance.

The photos of this hotel are untrue. The pool area does not have the slide. A worker very rudely said it has been shut down for 3 years. Our room smelled like pee. They moved us across the hall. My hubby used his UV light to shine on the bottom sheet. 2 visible round stains. We took off the bottom sheet asked for new one. When we took off bottom sheet, the so called pad underneath was dirty with hair. Sent up all but the fitted sheet. Morning front desk girls were wonderful. Evening man, not so much. so many different elevators were shut down and we were on the 5th. I could go on and on. Never again

The Internet worked okay. I had a suite that sleeps 6 people, there were only 2 face towels 2 big towels and 3 hand towels. I think the room should at least be stocked with 4 to 6 face and big towels. I also think they should have more pool towels. Other than that, the stay was good.

Very basic. Bar and restaurant didn’t open until 5 pm. Bummer!! Not stated on hotel information. Waterslide in pool was non-operational. We did not receive enough toilet paper nor towels. Outlets didn’t work. Doors swelled in the frames; you had to heave your whole weight against them to get them open. Staff seemed nice.

Items in the room were damaged and very worn. we paid extra for a pool side room. I didn't know the pool was used for kids parties. The screaming didn't stop. The pool doesn't close until 10 pm. The smell of chlorine was overwhelming. The food at the restaurant was terrible, the service was great. The final straw was the adjoining room fight and someone threatening to stab another person. We left and went to another hotel. There were no other rooms to move to. The hotel did not refund and the additional insurance I paid for wouldn't refund due to my \"high standards\"

The hotel shuttle runs to and from the airport regularly. They hotel front desk, coffee shop and shuttle drivers were so friendly.
Hotel permits guests to park their vehicles there avoiding the high cost of airport weekly parking. Reasonable rates. Nice adjoining rooms for pur large family. facility and ammenities were great

This hotel was awful! The rooms were dirty and nasty. Robert who works in the morning is one of the worst people ever! He is rude, nasty, and a miserable person! The amount you have to pay for the rooms here is NOT worth it! I have stayed at places cheaper than this and had clean rooms and staff who treat you with respect. Robert was so disrespectful to every single guest he dealt with. Oh and they charge you more than what hotels.com says is the amount you will pay.

The hotel wasn’t the cleanest. There was red stuff under the pillow on the sheet looked like blood. There was blood on the light switch in the bathroom. There was white stuff on the floor by the bed. It was like the room wasn’t cleaned. I wouldn’t stay here again. The bed also was itchy. We stayed because we wanted to chill in the hot tub. There was literally like 15 kids in it!

Fifth time I've stayed here, some before the Sonesta name change. My room was very clean and the location is perfect for my needs. It's basically in the parking lot of the Woodland mall. Right on 28th, which is a main line through Kentwood and southern Grand Rapids. TONS of restaurants within walking distance. Front desk was pleasant at check in and out.

Do not stay here I got a suite, and there was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom. The curtain in one of the rooms didn’t close all the way because the rod was hanging off of the ceiling. The room was disgustingly dirty. The comforters had stains on them. There was a dirty pair of socks under the couch. The hot tub water was yellow and lukewarm. Children were not supervised by adults at one point there was over 15 people and a five person hot tub. There was a nail in the pool..

When the facial tissues ran out and I asked for more, I was told there would be an extra charge. They provided 1 bottle of water per day for a room of 4 people. Th heat is set to only run when there’s motion so if we watched tv in one room the other room would get cold. At night when sleeping it would get cold because of no motion. Woke up freezing several times. Bed was a bit lumpy. Was very clean. Trash outside of third floor elevator hadn’t been emptied in days. It was full to the brim. Staff encountered were pleasant.
