The rooms were very clean, and the staff was very polite, but to call it a five-star hotel, I think is stretching the point. It's more like 4.5 stars. It doesn't quite come off as a five-star hotel.

Location was good, but several little things didn't work out for us. For example, we couldn't get into our room because the card didn't work. When they fixed that and gave us a key and a card, it still didn't work. It was little things like that that didn't live up to the hype. We had an issue with the car on arrival. The manager was very helpful and gave us a free ride back to the airport when we left.

We absolutely loved staying at the Balthazar. The location is perfect to explore the city, the room was just beautifully appointed and the staff are so incredibly helpful. We ate at the restaurant and it was just superb. Massive plus all round. Particularly impressive is the traditional breakfast. I normally find hotel breakfast terribly expensive and underwhelming. This was not just well worth the money, but surpassed all expectations. The staff were simply exceptional, just like the hotel. We will be back. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Had a fantastic break over New Years Eve. Spent 4 nights there and enjoyed every second- from arrival to departure.
Stayed in a Deluxe double and the room was a perfect size, not huge but very nice and comfortable with everything you could want.
Breakfast was SPLENDID! Put an hour aside as it’s not your normal eat and run, it’s an experience in itself and the choices are top notch.
We only had dinner once and that was in the room - again amazing quality and very reasonable for a 5star hotel. I had steak and my wife had a delicious chicken dish.
We will definitely be back
It’s situated exactly where you need to be and, as mentioned, very good quality for a very good price.

This place was amazing! I was so excited to stay here and we weren't disappointed. I traveled with my teen and younger child. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was so beautiful. Heated bathroom floors, fireplace, dining table, bathroom hygine amenities. Everything was perfect. Location was amazing! Make a right out the door and there is Wawel castle, make a left and walk a little way down the main street and you'll reach the rynek. Breakfast was included daily with our room and it was great! If we ever come back to Kraków we will definitely stay here again.

Wow, what can I say! This has to be the most beautiful and elegant boutique hotel I have ever stayed at.
On entering, the foyer is small but beautifully decorated and the staff make you feel very welcome.
Check in was quick and efficient and we were shown to our room by a kind gentleman.
The room, a superior double, was stunning. The bed was comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. The room looked onto the street and it was wonderful to hear the horse and carriage trotting by every so often. The bathroom had all the amenities you would need.
The bottle of wine and amaretto was a lovely touch.
The breakfast is out of this world! We ate numerous times at the renowned Fiorentina restaurant which is part of the hotel. The food and service were impeccable. Krakow is a beautiful city and Balthazar hotel was just the best place to stay to enjoy everything krakow has to offer.
We had a very early return flight and we were given a wonderful breakfast box away with us which was delicious.
Thank you so much Balthazar hotel for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back next year.

The property is situated 5 minute walk from the main square and even closer to Wawel Castle, So very well positioned.
The room we stayed was 108 which is well positioned and overlooks the courtyard. Bathroom is well appointed, good shower and nice Molton Brown soaps, shampoo and bathgel and cream.
The staff were always helpful when we spoke with them.

Just back from a fantastic 3 day trip to Krakow. Stayed at the Balthazar Design hotel. Excellent establishment, spotlessly clean, very central to Old Quarter and Jewish Quarter. Staff were exceptionall, welcoming, friendly, helpful to the point that nothing was too much for them. They organised our airport transport both ways, takeaway breakfasts when we had early morning excursions booked and all with a smile. Would highly recommend this hotel and would be my first choice if I visited Krakow again.

Amazing staff

The staff at Balthazar were exceptional. We arrived late in the evening and were exhausted. From bags to drinks, the staff were so kind.
