The room was clean, facilities were good - tea/coffee making etc. Outside of hotel is deceptive as quite big in side and a lovely bar/breakfast area on ground floor and restaurant and roof top bar on 6th floor. Such a brilliant and convenient location, just next to the castle and cathedral. Overlooking the river and a 10 min stroll to the square.

The hotel is great location overlooking river.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Clean and tidy.
We had welcome drink on rooftop bar which has great views.
Around 20-25 minutes walk to centre square.
Boat trips on river 3 minutes walk.
Will definitely stop here again when we return to Krakow.

The Hotel could hardly be closer to Wawelm Castle ( a major tourist attraction in Krakow) but is still quiet & cosy.
This also means it’s on the edge of the old town, where most of the attractions are- easy walking to everywhere.
The room was basic but had all the essentials - en suite, shower, Tea & Coffee facilities (although you’ll need to get your own milk)
Continental Breakfast is included and is extensive - all you could want, especially the scrambled eggs.
The best feature though is the SkyBar- on the 6th floor with great views of the castle and river and a decent menu of snacks and meals.
The only glitch was that signal was very patchy on the only English Language TV Station I could find - but that’s hardly essential.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pod Welwelem. Located right by the castle and easy 15 minute walk to the main square. The rooftop bar has a lovely view over the river. Buffet breakfast
was good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Taxis were plentiful. Parking available in underground carpark right outside.

Highly recommended staying here when visiting Krakow. Located next to the castle and river, but not amongst the touristy and busy areas. Quiet, safe and just out of the way of the main old town. Skybar provides amazing views and you get a complimentary glass of prosseco that you claim and enjoy in the skybar - a nice touch. Hotel itself is welcoming, modern and clean. Rooms are spacious and airy with everything you need. Breakfast is included and is a brilliant buffet with a large variety of polish cold foods, patisserie, cereals, yogurts breads and a small selection of hot food. Only a small fruit selection, but salad is also available. Coffee and tea also provided. Really great place, especially for the price.

Staff fantastic, very helpful and friendly. We were in room 111 which was right beside the lift so it quite noisy at times. We were in a double room but it is actually two single beds side by side and two single quilts. The beds were also a bit lumpy.

The hotel is in a lovely, convenient spot, only around 8 mins walk to the old town and is next to the river. Wawel Castle was right beside the hotel, which was so lovely light up at night and which could be viewed from the Sky Bar terrace. Some boats are restaurants and are covered in lights, which again looked lovely. I was given a warm welcome as soon as I arrived. The room was comfortable and quiet and all the staff were generally very helpful. The sachets of coffee were a little hit and miss in the room, which ranged from 0-2 sachets. Not a major problem as I could have asked for some. I was going to miss breakfast on one occasion and the hotel kindly made me a lovely packed lunch to take with me. I would like to have had more variety for breakfast, but there was choice and plenty of it. I would certain recommend this hotel for it's warm welcome and it's quiet convenient location

Great location, and super helpful staff

Stayed here for 3 nights in late November. As a solo traveller here to see the sights I only had a basic single room with no view, but it was very comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed.

All the staff spoke very good English, which saved both them and me from my basic Polish. Check-in was welcoming and efficient.

The sky-bar has superb views out over the river. I had a couple of meals and drinks there which were all very good and reasonably priced. The welcome drink was also a nice touch.

Breakfast is a buffet style, with plenty of choices of both hot and cold food, and was always well stocked and good quality.

The location was excellent, enjoying the view of the river and castle, but also being just a short walk into the old town area, and I felt perfectly safe walking alone late at night to and from.

If I visit Kraków again, this is where I want to stay.

We booked this hotel having read the other reviews. The hotel is in a very convenient location within easy walking distance of both the old town and the Jewish quarter.
Easy to reach by bus from the airport.
The hotel has lovely views of the river, especially from the sky bar and the rooms were clean and had everything you needed.
The staff are however what really makes this hotel, they are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Bartosz is especially friendly and informative. He told us about some of the legends of Krakow and will happily help you book any trips you are interested in.
We have never stayed in such a friendly hotel and will definitely choose this hotel again if and when we return to Krakow.

Krakow - Simply Brilliant

Lovely hotel, staff are brilliant and so helpful. Bart on reception will do anything for a greggs sausage roll or steak bake 😂. He provided recommendations that were all brilliant from food to cocktail bars he certainly knows his stuff. Rooftop terrace staff could do with smiling a little more but thats about it.

Location is perfect just a little walk into the old town (flat no huge hills), overlooking the Vistula river and rooms lovely and clean with lovely sauna (spa under construction).

Rooms were clean, tidy and we had great room with view over the city and the river.

Very hospitable country and worth the trip to anyone that is remotely interested in culture, cocktails, gastronomy or anything at all really.

This hotel was an absolutely amazing place to stay. We spent a little extra for a room with a view and it did not disappoint. We had a view of the river that goes across Kraków as well as the Wawel castle. The area is very quiet overnight, and within walking distance of most of the old town. The staff are very friendly, including one fellow who makes it his business to learn some words to help make their guests feel welcome!

Amazing service

Perfect location, super views of the river and Wawel Castle. The reception staff and Bart in particular couldn't have done more to ensure the stay was perfect with suggestions of places to visit including the slightly more unusual like The Leaky Cauldron cafe! Room was perfectly adequate in size, large opening doors/windows. Just a 20 minute and short walk from the airport on Bus route 300.

4 night stay in krakow for Christmas markets

Travelled as a group of 20 from start to finish friendly professional staff throughout the hotel, looked after us, special mention to Bart on reception who made made us all feel very welcome and even left a note with ideas and tips for the whole group to try.
He was off the weekend and still took the time to do this showing, his professional to his job.

The property was the perfect location for seeing all of the old town. A stone's throw from the Wawel Castle. The Sky lounge on the hotel's top floor gave a great view of both the castle and river. Both stunning day and night. Open to non residents as well so can be busy on a sunny day.

The reception staff (Bartosz) was simply brilliant. From lending an umbrella to booking a taxi. Super friendly and helpful all round. A walking Oracle if you can get a word in😂😂

Fab hotel in a great location the Manager Bart was fantastic he made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
The room was comfortable and we had a great view overlooking the river.
The breakfast was continental but there was plenty to choose from with a couple of hot options as well.
We are planning to go back in a couple of years for friends wife’s 60th as we loved Krackow so much and so we will definitely stay at this hotel as it was within easy walking distance of everything….. perfect

Lovely view of the river and castle from our bedroom. Hotel was in a very convenient location to explore the Old Town. Staff were very helpful and friendly especially the Reception staff and the staff who helped with breakfast. Fantastic views from the rooftop bar and restaurant.

The hotel is ideally located next to the river and castle but within easy walking distance of the main square. Rooms are simple but clean. Staff are pleasant and the roof top bar and restaurant is an ideal place to watch the world go by with a Zywiec or Wisniowka!!

6 day stay in Krakow

Stayed for 6 days to explore Krakow and the surrounding area.I could not fault the hotel very clean,attentive staff that were happy to go the extra mile to make the trip special.
Amazing roof top bar and restaurant overlooking the river and castle with prices that you would struggle to find in any other city.
Breakfast was really good with a selection of hot,cold sweet, savoury and fresh fruit.
Good value and we plan to return to experience more Polish hospitality.

We arrived earlier than the check in time, but the reception was cheerful and checked us in no problem. The staff at the hotel were great. The room is a bit small but nice and clean. We had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant and it was very good. The breakfasts were also very good. Overall excellent value for money and definitely recommended.

Great stay, amazing staff - really helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early and as we were checking out at 5am they have even prepared us little lunchboxes so we won't miss breakfast. Amazing views from top floor restaurant!
The only thing is they need to pay more attention while cleaning rooms as we have had loads of spiderwebs above our bed!

Lovely hotel stay

Booked this hotel for a 3 night stay. Beautifully clean and all the staff where really friendly. We paid extra for a river view, the room had a little balcony and the view was stunning of the river & castle.

Good location hotel

Good location, 👍 quiet despite being in the centre. Breakfast top notch, couldnt fault. Room was spacious enough and bed comfy, however rubbish bin not emptied. When window open coukd smell the smoke from smokers outside which made it unwelcoming when arriving at reception as they were all huddled around the door. Maybe hotel could create a smoking area away from reception?

Lovely room views and rooftop bar for great value.

Lovely hotel, we booked last minute and were given a lovely Corner room with amazing views of the river for a great price. Decent breakfast too, considering covid restrictions impacting on the buffet. Amazing rooftop bar too. Will return next time in Krakow.

Great location and hotel

Well located hotel for visiting this great city, close to the major town visiting sites, but far enough to have a great nights sleep. Overall very happy with this hotel and Location, this was our third stay here. Fantastic views over the Castle and the River Wisla. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and the front of house staff could not be more helpful.
