The guest house sits in such a pretty location only a walk away from Main Street but at the same time it’s very quiet! The veranda, gardens and pool area are just a delight! So lovely and beautiful! The room that we were given was beautifully decorated, simple and elegant! Michaela was so lovely and friendly and made sure that we have everything! The staff were also extremely sweet and helpful! Breakfast was great! An absolute success. From the set up of the tables to the coffee and all the varieties of food that we had, including a made to order choice of eggs!!
On our last day, michaela was happy to let us stay an extra 3 hours after our check out time, so we enjoyed the pool and the garden since it was so hot!!
Our only tiny complain would be that the bed even though was very comfortable with beautiful linen was quite short length wise. Me and my daughter are medium height. Someone taller would have a problem sleeping on that bed.

An excellent and very welcoming place to stay within easy walking distance of everything that Franschhoek has to offer. Superb breakfasts and very helpful host/staff. Good value and highly recommended, although you need to book well in advance.

Wine and dining in comfort in Franschhoek
A charming, friendly guesthouse close to the main street with stylish rooms with comfortable beds , a log fire which we lit and electric blankets.We were there in the winter but the gardens would be beautiful in the height of summer with a small pool to enjoy.
Breakfast was a selection of healthy options , with a cooked breakfast and a good pot of coffee.
Would recommend price wise and for the hospitality ,hope to be back soon.

2 night stay here after a mini trip around SA. We had a little trouble getting into the property (apparently the bell to the side gate was not working) which wouldn’t have been a problem but the heavens decided to open at that point & we were a little damp when we finally got inside! The Corner House itself is lovely & looks recently refurbished. We were in room one which opened directly onto the veranda, again the rain spoilt our ability to use this but it would be beautiful in the summer. The bed was large & comfortable with gorgeous, soft Cotten sheets (there is also an electric blanket for when it’s chilly) & the bathroom was clean & shower powerful (still water restricted so short showers recommended).
Breakfast was included & the selection was large for a small place & all home made, from Bircher muesli & muffins to eggs & bacon. Service was with a smile & staff were friendly and approachable. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat.

We had an amazing time in Franschhoek in part because of our stay at the Corner House. It is well located, spacious and quiet. The staff are very helpful. The owner helped us get a last minute reservation for an amazing meal just down the street. We loved the little attentions and amenities. We will be back!

Charming small guest house
This is a beautifully kept guest house, on a quiet backstreet, but a five minute walk from the main street. It has a pleasant garden, and a small pool and they do a good hearty breakfast. The owner is very friendly, humerous and talkative.

Nice hotel but overall not worth the price in my opinion. very close to many restaurants and serviced by a very nice couple. The rooms themselves are a bit small and no frills. They have a nice reading room and breakfast area. Stay here if you are looking for a place to stay after a day of wine tasting as it is a nice area, but I must say for the price you pay you might be better off with another venue.

The Corner House - a little gem
Situated in a quiet location in Franschhoek, the Corner House was less than 10 minutes walk to the main street. Danielle and Dick, the hosts, were very friendly and helpful, The breakfasts were excellent and there was a delightful garden to sit and relax in.

Second time in Franschhoek, this time for one night only. The house is very nice, and our room was ok.
Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. On arrival, there was nobody to open us the door (we arrived 330pm, and they only require notification for arrivals after 5pm). Only explanation given when the owner arrived was that he needed to go out to buy things - I had to go for a long walk to avoid waiting pointlessly in the garden. I wouldn't describe him as friendly, or used to handle people. Next morning, we had to wait for some 20 minutes after ordering our breakfast, only to discover the landlady had to go out to buy eggs while we were waiting.
It is a nice property, and location is ok - Franschhoek is very small. More skill on the service front would have made me recommend it more strongly.
