I liked La Quinta. It’s clean, the price was right, and the breakfast was great. The 7-11 across the street attracts some sketchy characters. It was intimidating when we drove up and at first we were nervous about leaving the vehicle in the parking lot but everything was fine. The parking lot is fenced and gated on the side and back and we never saw any of the 7-11 residents cross over to the hotel property. Overall, it was fine.

The front desk people gave free products to me from the market, breakfast is excellent only problem is there is homeless outside but the hotel is secure.with a fence and door always locked u need a key to get in or a staff member let's you in the room was clean. And parking was easy

If you’re in Spokane and you need a hotel room, this is where you should go if you are looking for the most bang for your buck. If it’s a good deal for nice rooms you seek….. go forth to La Quinta downtown Spokane. Awesome staff, comfortable beds, and good breakfasts.

The hotel itself is quite modern with a good variety of breakfast options. The staff are also friendly and helpful.

However, the hotel is situated in an area with a lot of homeless people. While they did not cause damage or break into cars, they were very loud at night and disrupted our sleep significantly. There is also a loud police announcement at night which woke up us frequently.

It was unique in thst he had to be very mindful of your surroundings when you left the building. There were homeless, etc hanging out at the gas station right next door and they often crossed into the hotel parking lot. We had to use our room key to open the lobby doors so to keep the homeless out.

The room was clean when we arrived. We stayed 4 nights and never received housekeeping services despite specifically asking for them to at least remove the trash which they did not. Finally the front desk agent came up and removed our trash herself thankfully. They only come every 3 days but skipped us entirely. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. The bed was decent but the pillows were all misshapen. One night we heard so much loud banging through the night and into the morning we were woken up hearing something like ramming into walls both inside and outside. We told the front desk agent and he looked at us like we were crazy. Breakfast was basic. There was a waffle machine, assorted breads and pastries, coffee (was decent) and juice. The only foods not loaded with sugar were boiled eggs, scrambled eggs (with cheese I think) and sausage links which were not bad but more variety would have been nice. With the price being similar to other nicer places, I would not recommend this place and would not stay here again.

Staff were very nice and friendly, breakfast was delicious. Neighbour was ‘interesting’. Lots of homeless across the street at the 7-11. Glad the parking lots was fenced in.
Felt safe as they kept to themselves but definitely interesting to watch

The hotel and room itself was accommodating and we appreciated the breakfast in the morning. The room was comfortable. However, directly across the street is a 7/11 where drug addicts and dealers choose to spend their days, nights and mornings. We did not feel safe leaving the hotel so we ended up just having to order food to the room. I understand this is out of the control of the hotel, but maybe some pressure on their local government might help.. I travel frequently for work and this reminded me of a mini skid row in LA. By mini I mean 20-30+ addicts at any given time either tweaking in circles or literally bent in half due to their drugs of choice. Within 15 minutes I identified one drug dealer who hung out from when we check in at 3 until I closed the curtains to my window at 10, yet I never saw any police activity or anything to deter them. It’s sad but I would never recommend this hotel to anyone who values safety and comfort where they lay their head at night. Spokane can and should do better for their own people and the businesses (like this hotel) that do things the right way.

It was very clean. The only thing that could be improved is the bed. It was so uncomfortable and hard and lumpy. Better quality on beds.
The breakfast service staff was very put out when I let her know the waffle maker was out of batter, she rolled her eyes at me. Then I had to let her know there was no milk for cereal. When she returned with the milk, I said thank you an there was no response. She was clearly not happy to help others.

When I arrived at 12:30, the desk clerk was silly and said I could not check in because it was too early and they didn't have rooms ready when there were only 10 cars in the parking lot. Annoying. The fitness center could be more robust. When they say breakfast is open until 10, it should not be closed at 9:45. Further, the location is not ideal. There is a huge homeless encampment right across the street.

The assistant manager on duty was very kind. Seemed like he was the only one working on the busiest weekend in our area. I couldn’t get into my room until 5:30, though check in was at 3 because it hadn’t been cleaned. Very very short staffed.

We checked in mid afternoon, June 21st. We flipped the bed sheets back, & noticed an ugly stain on the bottom sheet. We immediately called the front desk & were told she would call us right back. By late evening, no phone call & nothing was done about it. FREE breakfast: eggs & sausages were ice cold & so was the coffee. Didn't see anyone around to rectify this. Room for improvement.

The hotel itself is fine-- no problems there, but the location is very sketchy. I would not feel comfortable walking anywhere beyond the parking lot. The hotel is next to gas stations with lots of people who loiter. The 711 across had probably 25 homeless people just hanging out at all times and they are not the friendliest. I was worried my car would get broken into or stollen the whole night. I would not stay here again.

The area that it’s in was a little scary when we pulled up to the hotel but inside the hotel was beautiful. The rooms were clean. Amenities included. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. I was so pleased with this property! It was spotless the staff could not have been nicer. Our room was so nice. The bed was comfortable and the pillows awesome! The parking outside was fenced in and we never felt afraid or any danger from the homeless. Just like any big city there are homeless hanging around. But, they were harmless and I don’t see many! I will 100% stay again next time I’m in Spokane! Also, very easy access on and off the freeway!

We liked the gated parking lot with cameras and security that went through every 2 hours. Breakfast was fresh and plenty. Staff was very pleasant. Our TV control would not work and after their efforts of an hour we had to change rooms. They couldn’t composite us as we booked through Expedia.

Next day when I called to ask if I could discuss possibly staying a second night, front desk abruptly said they didn't have time for me and to call back in 20 minutes.

While I can appreciate that mornings can be busy at a hotel with people possibly checking out, this was not the tone/way to respond to a client. Definitely not feeling any hospitality vibes

I had a nice stay at LaQuinta. The room was clean and quiet. Their free breakfast is great and they have lots of options. Their free parking is fenced and there are security cameras.

My only problem was with the air conditioning. I thought the room was too cold and tried adjusting the temp at the wall unit and also the thermostat in the room. Nothing worked.

When I called the front desk, they said they would call the maintenance man and he could adjust it remotely. They did raise the temp by a couple of degrees which was more comfortable for me. But I don't know why guests can't just adjust it by themselves.

We were in town for a concert at the Pavilion, which is only about 5 min drive away, so pretty close. The hotel was clean, staff is great- helpful and friendly, and the entrance doors are locked so it is secure. Pet friendly and very affordable pet fees, which is so helpful on a trip out of town. We enjoyed the rainfall shower head and used the iron and iron board, which was great to have. Breakfast was good, clean and kept stocked, the kids love making those waffles!
The only cons were that parking was tricky with people double parking and lot full at night. also the large group of unhoused encampment across the street at 7-11 kept me up until 2 AM with loud music and yelling. Followed by a group rock fight in the main road at 4 am when I had to take my dogs out. That was pretty wild and stressful. Hotel staff have security and monitor the property, which is probably why I never saw any one messing around on hotel property or in the parking lot. On site, it is not an issue for people, cars or personal property.
My 2nd night, I was so tired, I slept through anything going on outside.

I booked a Junior Suite with a King bed and a pull-out sofa bed. This is more expensive than a standard double queen. Here is what happened beginning at 10:00 pm:

* I went to make up the sofa bed, and there were no linens or extra blankets. Before I could call down,
* My daughter stepped in a BIG wet spot on the side of the bed.
* I called down to let reception know, and I was told there were no more Junior Suites (fair) available. I asked for another room, and I had to go down to reception and get the keys for a standard queen room.
* The shampoo in the bathroom was not full/did not work in the new room
* The makeup remover wipe looked like it had been used
* When we went to bed, there was a hair on the pillow, and the sheets had what looked like blood stains (washed but still gross) on them.
* And I was never compensated for the difference between the two rooms. I booked the Junior Suite specifically as a treat. If I had wanted a standard queen, I would have booked a standard queen.
* No attempt was made to reconcile the differences in the price, our inconvenience, and the general unfriendliness of the reception staff.

I told my daughter that we would never stay at this hotel again.

Had to make a quick reservation because previous one fell thru. We had been traveling all day with a cat, U Haul truck and trailer. Made reservation thru Expedia. They allowed cat and parking was more than big enough for truck and trailer. Arrived, check in, inquired about parking and the lady at the desk said, yeah it was fine in the lot. While unloading for our stay, the manager informs us that the truck and trailer had to be parked on the street. Their lot is completely fenced with gates. Area is swarming with homeless people and drug dealers. It was obvious when we arrived. The manager was pushing that we had to use street parking. That was not an option as we had personal and household items in the truck and a truck on the trailer. We made arrangements at a different property, tried to get a refund and left. On top of it all, the manager that was rude left before we did. I would not recommend this location due to the manager being rude and the area it is in is sketchy at best. People were smoking Marijuana the parking lot inside the fenced in area.

Bare bones, but clean. 2 lamps in the room did not work and the front desk was not able to repair. Auto thermostats went off and on all night and was noisy. No elevator to 1st floor rooms (9 stairs).Good points: Comfy beds, whole bathroom (no tub).

We are very impressed with the experience we had because our room was next to some very unruly neighbours and, when we brought it to the attention of the front desk, we weren’t really expecting much to be done because the hotel was pretty full.
So, it was a pleasant surprise to hear from Jonathan, the manager, with an offer to move to another room. Not only that he gave us a bag of goodies as a peace offering, which was such a nice touch! Our recommendation would be that if you choose to stay in this hotel that you choose a room opposite to 7-11 – very busy area no matter what time of day!

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The coffee was good. I know it is out of their control, but the unhoused people in the neighborhood (The 7-11 across the street) is not safe. I counted 25 people doing various things, with a lot of taking or exchange of drugs.

When I went down the stairs to the car on the La Quinta property there was human feces.

The hotel was fine, but I would not stay there again because of the neighborhood. I was concerned that my care might have been broken into with all this goings on.

The hotel offers room cleaning for every three days of stay. On our fourth day, I removed the privacy sign so the cleaning crew can clean. However we found the room uncleaned, bed un-made and trash still there. The only thing done is the new towel. It was disappointing. Other than this, overall stay was meeting expectation and staff were super friendly.

I failed to read reviews for this one, major lesson learned. Parking was done with a hope and a prayer, breakfast was better just not served. Fasting is the more appropiate breakfast to be had while staying here, but the biggest lesson is just not stay here anymore. I didn't learn this until after paying in full for my stay, but the area is called \"Zombie Alley\" and for good reason.

My service dog is for a true medical need yet I forced to sign for it & pay. we did not feel safe outside the hotel to even walk around, should of drove 5 more minutes east for a nicer area.
