Room was very nice and comfortable. Appreciated the temprepedic mattress topper. Also, slow clap and extra stars for supplying 3 pillows per person and 3 types of pillow. Well done. Robes, nice continental breakfast, GREEK yogurt parfait bar. AND yet another solid choice, GLASS not plastic bottles of San Pelecrino in the no host honor bar.

Tiny area for improvement, great job having a bottle of still water and glasses waiting the room. Refill the bottle in the mornings or...place a pitcher at the honor bar so we can refill.

Definitely recommend and would stay again.

We absolutely adored our stay here. The house was easy to find, parking was plentiful, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like we were staying with a beloved relative. The entire space is warm, welcoming, and full of character.

We stayed in the Blue Room, which overlooked the street from a lovely balcony. It was quiet, filled with beautiful morning light, and spacious enough to spend a relaxing afternoon reading or simply enjoying the room. While the bathroom was shared with another guest, it somehow added to the charm—it felt more like a cozy sleepover than a hotel stay.

Breakfast was my favorite part of each morning. It was a simple European-style spread with cheese, meats, fruit, coffee, and other thoughtful offerings. There is also a bright, beautiful room to enjoy breakfast, read a book, or unwind with a cocktail in the evening.

The entire home feels like a preserved piece of Spokane’s history—part Victorian, part reflection of the city’s lumber-era roots. Everywhere you look there are details to admire, and it’s easy to lose yourself in the beauty of the space.

We originally booked two nights for the weekend, but I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay for an extra night before heading back to Seattle. It was the perfect way to treat myself and slow down a little longer. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Spokane.

This is a delightful old home which has been a Bed and Breakfast since 1987. I loved the wraparound porch. Room was spacious enough. Breakfast was nice: yogurt w granola and fresh fruit; croissant; 7-minute boiled eggs...same each day. I wanted to use the croquet set but we never quite got to it.
Some reviews mentioned a problem with the shared bathroom if you choose one of those two rooms. I thought it was fine. Everyone was considerate. However, if you are traveling alone I wouldn't recommend staying in a room without its own bathroom because it is, indeed, an old house that is not heavily populated, and that could seem spooky if you have to leave your room to use the bathroom/shower at night.
There is street noise from the Garden Room, but turning on the wall unit A/C was plenty for covering it up, as another reviewer helpfully suggested.

Staying here is like stepping back in time to a more elegant and refined era. The house is filled with antiques and has been decorated with great taste. It has a wonderful sitting area downstairs, and the bedrooms are whimsical and delightful. The breakfasts far exceeded my expectations. Maybe best thing of all is the proprietor, Holland. She is warm, engaging and thoroughly charming. My wife and I hope to have reasons to visit Spokane, again, soon, so we can stay here, again.

We chose the Blue room, and it was lovely! Very comfortable, and we enjoyed the decoration. I was hesitant to reserve, as it was our first B&B, but I am glad we did! I felt comfortable throughout, enjoyed the feel of being in a home. Breakfast was on time, and was perfect . Coffee was really good. We plan on returning in the future. Plus, it is close to all kinds of great food and colleges, as we were there to watch football.

Wonderful old-fashioned mansion. Floor to ceiling fabric curtains with liners on all four windows. Gigantic brass framed mirror. Busy little suburb street outside, but nobody’s honking. Can’t wait for breakfast at the bed and breakfast.

Owners Not Responsive At All to Our Concerns

Place advertised a private bath, in actuality two of the three units had a shared hallway bath, including ours, which was unacceptable. We always check the cleanliness of the bed when we travel. It had a very old 6 inch mattress with a large old worn 10 inch foam pad on top. Not comfortable at all. There was a dingy fluffy white carpet in front of a mirror in the room. We moved it to see the condition of the floor underneath and found a dirty Q-tip. We decided to leave immediately and did not stay the night. We called and left 2 messages with the “host” but received no response. We attempted to get a refund through Hotels.com but were not successful because the host did not respond to there inquiries either. This property was rated 9.2 out 10, which I find hard to believe and makes me question the validity of the reviews.

The house is neat and old. The breakfast was more of a European type - croissant and cold cuts than one would expect from a real Bed and Breakfast. The shared bathroom was a slight surprise and we only saw the owner briefly. Overall a strange experience. The house is in an evolving neighborhood and on a busy street (not too bad at night)....

We came to Spokane for a Mini Vacation and a Wedding! we had a nice stay, and Bryce was super friendly!
The stairs are super noisy! and the only thing I would suggest is a trash can in the bedroom. Thank you so much had a wonderful time.

Perfect weekend away

This was such a beautiful relaxing stay everything about it was perfect for us as a couple. We are huge fans of bed and breakfasts and we kind of go around everywhere looking for new ones to try. This will be one that we visit again and again. It was clean especially for being such an older place usually we stay in old places and you'll find dust in different random places but not here I highly recommend!

I was fortunate enough to be the only guest staying while I was here and it was absolutely magical. The house is so cozy and having the common areas to myself really made it feel like I was just at home, if my house was beautifully and ornately decorated. Not to mention the mattress was probably the comfiest of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I”m recommending this place to anyone passing through or near Spokane.

Strange Bed and Breakfast

Breakfast was served between 7:30-9:30. We showed up at 8:10 and the food the other couples raved about was gone and there weren't even enough plates... No one checked on it until it was time to clean up. And even I was not asked how I enjoyed breakfast, which was nothing, because the leftover things are nothing i can eat.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Marianna Stolz house. It was easy to find, check in simple. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed. We chose to share a washroom which was just down the hall, housecoats were provided. It felt a bit strange to be in the house without a host! There were other guests, but we did not encounter anyone. The continental breakfast was laid out in the dining room, good selection of quality food. We would stay here again.

Best stay ever !!!

We stayed one night , it was a delayed honeymoon. We had the best time ever. It is a beautiful home. So much character. We had a beautiful room with a king size bed. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, I can’t say enough good things. Only bad thing, we couldn’t stay another night .

Wonderful Stay

Was a wonderful B&B. Quiet and in a nice neighborhood. Checking was virtual and room was beautiful. Couldn’t hear anyone else who stayed minus when they came up the stairs.

The house was gorgeous inside and the porch outside was nice to sit at. Will definitely come back here and stay again

Disappointed

The Mariana Stoltz house is a very old house and its age shows. The exterior is in need of repairs, the lawn needed mowing, walkways need replacing, and landscaping could use some help. Inside is charming but the mattress on our king sized bed was very flimsy. We had trouble sleeping because the room was very hot and there was a big party going on a couple of houses away. The continental breakfast was very good.
