AC struggled to keep up with the heat. The TV didn't work half the time. The carpets were dirty!
Worst part was the wait staff in the morning were too busy talking to each other to be bothered to bring our food hot or refill our water and we were the only ones in there. We won't return.

Upon check-in, I was informed that the room type I had reserved and prepaid for was unavailable. I was offered two alternatives at no additional cost: either stay at a sister property or split my party between two separate rooms. Since we were in Spokane attending an event across the street with a large group, I chose the two-room option.
While the rooms themselves were acceptable, they were located on different floors. More concerning was that I was later charged additional fees and taxes for the second room, despite being explicitly told at check-in that there would be no extra charges. After noticing the overcharge, I contacted the front desk, and the fees and taxes for the second room were refunded. However, two days later, the same charges were applied to my card again.
Since then, I have called multiple times and left several messages for the accounting department, yet I have neither received a refund nor the courtesy of a return phone call. This level of service is completely unacceptable and extremely disappointing.

Upon arrival our front desk host was not informative at all. She handed me a parking ticket with no instructions. I went to the parking gate and found that my ticket wouldn't work. I was driving back up to the front desk when I saw another gate on the other side and decided to try that one, and it worked. We did enjoy the location of our pet room, as it was located downstairs near grass. It was also very quiet despite the hotel being fully booked, which made a difference in enjoying our stay. The room had ample space and a nice bathroom, however the beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable and our sheets were stained with something purple. The pillows were comfortable and the pool was beautiful and well temperatured. We ordered breakfast from the restaurant, bought drinks from the coffee shop and that was satisfactory with good customer service.

The room was a patio/balcony room and the only good thing was the balcony when the neighbors were not smoking, otherwise the smell would overwhelm the room. But we were able to see the 4th of July fireworks... Room smelled bad due to not having any fans in the room or bathroom, pretty sure there was literal poop on the walls of the bathroom and when we brought it to housekeeping they didnt even acknowledge it.. they moved a item in front of the \"stains\" and then didn't even refill the soaps we never had! I am beyond disappointed in our stay.. the list can go on! Cars were broken into the first night we stayed, thankfully we were one of the lucky ones... then the parking lot machines that apparently scan you in never worked- ended up charging me to leave the parking lot (still waiting to see refunds on that part since we paid the $30 parking...) overall not a good stay. Cant even blame the 4th of July since hotel staff was rude whenever we asked anything, never helped with items such as soap and towels. Had NO TOWELS for a 1 1/2 hours at the pool, ended up running to the room for our 2 we had and then didn't get more for the morning... apparently the $240 I paid on Expedia is now a pending charge of $499! Very disappointed in this stay and DO NOT EXPECT TO COME BACK!

Main complaint is that the bathroom door was a sliding door and wouldn’t stay on its track. Main benefit is the location was great for fireworks. It was a very crowded weekend, but my son liked the pool.

We booked this hotel specifically because it looked down on riverfront park,we wanted to be able to watch fireworks from our room.I called and talked to some lady at the front desk(was given the number to them from the booking site).Told her we were celebrating our 45th anniv and wanted to be able to watch them from our room. The room she said to reserve was SUPPOSED to be able to.We get to the motel and find 1 desk clerk there and 10 people in line. She was EXTREMELY slow in chking ppl in,but then left left and Xavier took over..wow in the time it took her to do 1 person he was able to help the 7 in front of me! I specifically asked him about seeing the fireworks from our rm which he assured me we could,as we have leg injuries.Well, when the fireworks started going off..not only could we NOT see them from our room but had to go all the way downstairs and outside to do so.We live in spokane so the ONLY reason we even stayed at the motel was to have the convenience of watching from our rm. I'd like to add that in the elevator there was another lady w her g-daughter,who did EXACTLY the same as I had done and was told the same. She as well lives here and said she'd only got a rm for same reason as we did..she also was not happy. No it wasnt a deal breaker but id specifically asked TWICE,told them it was our anniv and spent money on a rm. I'd like to add that the pocket door in our bathroom had a huge gap so u could see in when shut and NO LOCK for privacy(lovely if u have kids)!!!!

The Centennial definitely goes out of its way to make you feel welcome and deal with any issues or problems you might have. Restaurant is just average for dinner, but has a great breakfast. There are many really great restaurants within walking distance. What suggest a stay for short or long to anyone who asked.

The property was ideally located for our needs. We were in town for the USA Judo Nationals and it was held at The Podium, which was walking distance from the Centennial Hotel. The Riverfront Park, located across the street from the Centennial, was also a pleasant place for walking and entertaining our children. Rooms were decently sized and we were lucky enough to have a room with a beautiful view of the Riverfront Park and the Podium. There were also several options to enjoy restaurants that were also walking distance, or a short uber ride (or scooter ride) away. Service was prompt and professional. We had no tv service when we arrived and they sent maintenance quickly to remedy the situation. They have luxury bath and shower products and are mindful of the environment, so they use full size products that are installed in the shower and are refilled once the products are used. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which were useful. There is a restaurant/bar downstairs that catered to the many World Cup Soccer fans by showing the games during our stay. While there is not an official Starbucks on the premises, they serve Starbucks coffee in the lobby cafe. I would recommend staying here if you are in Spokane.

I cannot recommend this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights. Things began poorly. The day before our arrival we received a call that the hotel was overbooked and they wanted to move us for our first night and then bring us back to the hotel for nights 2 and 3. I said no. I couldn't be out of lodging for 4 plus hours between check out and check in.

Housekeeping was minimal at best. On day 1 our towels were refreshed but the bed was not made. I don't mean fresh sheets, simply not made. Three calls later, including with the hotel manager, nothing changed. On day 2, at 5pm the towels had not even been refreshed.

Our room rate included breakfast, but that included only one option - the Davenport - eggs, hash browns, choice of breakfast meat, choice of toast. No substitutions allowed, even if the substitution was cheaper than the Davenport. On day 1, we were not charged extra for our coffee. On day 2, I opted to order from the menu; my spouse ordered the Davenport. Our bill appeared to include charges for everything. When questioned, the server turned the interaction into a very public explanation that the Davenport charge was credited. When asked why we were paying for the beverages as we didn't the day before, the very public, overly loud explanation was the beverages weren't free and hadn't been for 14 years but she would remove all charges to make us happy. We felt we were being publicly chastised for asking questions.

All in all, it was an unpleasant stay. We won't stay again.

Our stay started out horrible as they had oversold the hotel so I didn't get the balcony room that I paid extra for. They did give me free parking and a small dining credit, but not until I let them know how unacceptable it was to just put me in a less expensive room (I had pre-paid). The customer service was just horrible the whole time. Housekeeping only comes on request (but they don't tell you that until you are upset because nobody came even though you had the service room hanging on the door all day) No coffee, water or towels and the staff is just like \" they went home for the day\". The hotel itself was nice enough, but the sinks in the rooms are about 1\" deep so everything splashes and the shower has no door, so cold until the bathroom gets all steamy. The beds were pretty comfortable and the a/c did its job. We stayed there for an event. It would not be my first choice in the future. If you stay here, just don't have high expectations of customer service and you will be fine.

We were given free parking but let me just say that was the hardest of all. I needed handi csp stall and none available unless I could navigate 7 or so stairs. Parking was not marked well having to circle blg to finally figure out how to get in then to grab ticket while going up a huge incline. The Davenport Grand did ghe best they could. The breakfast was delicious. So overall a 4 for Davenport but parking was awful for handicapped. Maybe free valet for us impaired cojld have made better results.

Overall experience was rather negative, initial experience with staff was disappointing. The staff member who checked us in was unenthusiastic and did not take any effort to explain anything about the hotel or the amenities. No transparency about the additional fees that did not show up in the original price listed on Expedia. The fact that my bill from Expedia said “all fees included” and still getting surprised by the price should not be happening. The only plus about this stay was the manager’s corporation of letting us checkout early.

The bedrooms need more light. That was everyone’s complaint in our group.

Our first room had pubic hair in the shower. So that wasn't a great start! We requested a new room and the staff was very quick to assist us. Staff were very kind throughout our stay. Our next room was cleaner. Though the room was sufficient for our needs, we did notice a lot of dust on surfaces and a lot of signs of wear. Many corners of the room were not thoroughly cleaned and it definitely raised some doubt on how much effort is put into cleaning in general. We assumed that they may be lacking staff right now. Unfortunately, it does not stand up to the Davenport name, and the quality that is expected from that name. All other Davenport properties are extremely clean and maintained.

We felt a bit bamboozled at the on-site bar, with some very extreme pricing. One of our group ordered a Moscow Mule cocktail (pretty standard request). What we saw on the bill, however, was we were charged for a mocktail Moscow Mule plus $10 for the shot of alcohol added. This drink was then more than $20. No explanation of costs were ever given. Another guest requested a glass of water and was charged for expensive sparkling water, which was not requested. I felt as if they were trying hard to swindle us out of a lot of money. I have not had that experience at the bar before (I've stayed at this property many times over the years).

If the price was low, I would stay here again, but only for location.

Hotel was fantastic. The beds were soft and pillows comfortable. The barn door style bathroom door was pretty bad though. Wouldn't close all the way, or would go past the stop point and leave a gap on either side. Bathroom door needs to be a little bigger if you're doing sliding style. Pool was very nice. Warm, clean, had a blast at it. Fitness center was also top notch for a hotel.

Only issue was getting booked into a room, going to it, and finding out there were people in said room.

At first glance, things were great, big room, nice balcony. Then we noted our TV had Direct TV with no streaming services. Our room happened to be in a WiFi dead zone so I had to use my phone as a hotspot. The Direct TV kept glitching so it’s a good thing we brought games. There was a dirty bandaid in the elevator for two days until I reported it to the front desk. My sheet had a tear in it, when I reported it to the front desk, nothing happened even though I’d been assured it would be passed on to housekeeping. For the price, I was not impressed.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Centennial! The pool was the highlight for me- heated, barely anyone in it, the waterfall that doubles as a free shoulder/back massage if you hang out underneath it! The view from my East Tower balcony was amazing, looking out over the pool and the nearby dam. Slept like a baby with the noise the waterfall made. I ordered the Centennial Cheeseburger through room service and was blown away by how fat the burger was, and man, those fries were delicious!! I wasn't crazy about the shower, as being a bigger guy, the single glass panel that covered about half of the shower didn't stop a significant amount of water from getting onto the floor each time I showered, so I had to wipe up the water myself. No big deal though!

The only thing that spoiled my stay there was this; The first time I went down to the pool, I wanted to leave as much as I could in my room so nothing would get stolen poolside. I left my engagement ring on the dresser under the TV (among all my other pocket contents) and only brought my clothes and a room key with me. Room service had been in while I was in the pool, took my dirty towels and cleared the trashcan... My ring was also missing though, and despite searching through all my bags and the whole room multiple times, I couldn't find it. Not making any accusations- and frankly it was a $20 Tungston Carbide ring from Amazon, so not silver or gold or anything super valuable. It did have signicant sentimental value. But... c'mon.

Clean room, friendly staff, nice decor/atmosphere, convenient location.
Paid extra for a river view balcony...was told our room was in the far corner upon check in. Got up to the room and must say \"river view room\" was pretty much only on a technicality. It was a view of the other building and pool and if you leaned over the balcony, you could see a small section of the river.
AC unit/fan was very loud (helped me to sleep with the white noise but could be disruptive to some). Parking was super sparse and was a separate charge.

I love being on the less busy side of the river. Much more quiet but an easy and beautiful walk across the park into the downtown. We enjoyed lounging on our balcony watching the river run by. So relaxing after a busy day!

My boyfriend and I stay at this property semi frequently when we stay in Spokane because it's in a great location for downtown activities, and it's pretty decent for the price. However, our stays always vary on how good they are, and I wish this property was more consistent.

This trip, I was fairly disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The shower had several loose, what looked like cat hairs, in it. There were squished bugs around the sliding glass door to the balcony, there was a McDonald's condiment topper stuck on the balcony, the balcony floor was sticky, and I found one of those weevils that turn into clothes moths.

They were also fairly stingy on items in the room. We had exactly two of every towel type, only half a roll of toilet paper, one plastic cup, etc. For our two nights stay we had to ask for more towels, toilet paper, and cups.

The room itself was also mediocre for paying for a balcony upgrade. I felt like the rest of the room was smaller just to have a small balcony. Also, the bathroom door was set to automatically shut, and I had to rig a system with hangers to keep the door open as I hate a hot shower in a small bathroom. The AC was fairly loud, but I was just glad it was working so well as we have been in a room before where the AC barely worked at this property.

I will say that the employees were extremely nice and friendly.

I am sure we will stay here again, just as stated earlier, I wish this property was a more consistently great stay.

The Centennial is part of the Davenport Collection hotels so the grounds, hotel, and rooms are clean and well maintained.

It’s outside of the main downtown core of Spokane but still walking distance thanks to the Centennial Trail.

The pool was heated nicely and they provide some pool floaties like rings and noodles if asked. They do have a small hot tub we didn’t use.

We had a king room with a balcony. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Our balcony was overlooking the parking lot technically. The room across the hall overlooked the pool. There was not separation between our balconies so we could have overlooked the pool if needed.

Unfortunately the Centennial is considered a separate part of the Davenport hotels and therefore is not connected to the Marriott Bonvoy program unlike the rest of the Davenport hotels. Therefore was charged nearly an extra $200 for early check in and parking. If this was a Davenport hotel, parking would have been no charge. This was disappointing to learn at check in and should have been made clearer to those checking in.

Most of the staff was good and in good moods even under high stress. My only concern was the front desk at check in on Saturday made me feel like I was an inconvenience for wanting to check in early.

This was a great place spend a couple of days in Spokane. The Room itself was clean and comfortable. We had a view of the Pool area and faced the river valley. Did not use the pool as it was pretty busy. Could have done without the loud DJ playing since he was set up a few floors underneath our window, but we weren't in the room much anyways. DT area and River Valley is walkable no need for a vehicle since there is nature, shopping and dining just a 10-15 min walk

All the amenities are decent enough with the exception of the parking situation. I understand that Downtown parking in Spokane is at a premium but there's no reason that I can see why I should have been asked to pay for parking when I spend as much on a four night stay as I did at the Centennial. Thankfully they did comp the parking prior to my arrival otherwise I probably would have changed my reservations.

The bed was broken. The AC didn't work. The property was loud and could hear surrounding noise well into the night.

The check in process was awful. Once you got to the clerk he was wonderful. So it was not the staff, it was the management of the staff. Check in time was at 4:00. We arrived at 5:15 there were about seven people in front of us, one clerk. by the time we made it to the counter there were 15 to 20 people in the line. It was a festival weekend so lots of people in town. Two employees came into the area, no one helped they stood at the front desk talking while 15 people waited in line. Totally unacceptable.

The rooms are small but nice. Parking is convenient and the location to RiverPark area and event venues is great. All within walking distance.
