I had a wonderful stay at Motel du Fleuve! The location right by the River offers beautiful views, especially of the illuminated Champlain Bridge at night. The room was clean and comfortable.

From outside the motel is structurally falling apart - temporary jacks supporting the balcony that is falling out and those jack are rusty - they been there for years.

Very clean room. Right on the seaway. Staff extremely polite and friendly. Only drawback is that it is very close to the highway however that also makes access and departure is easy as I was only there for a quick stop. I would definitely stop there again

Terrible stay. Bad management

- Terrible stay - did not get my money’s worth. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money for a place that cares about its customers.
- TV has not working the whole duration of my stay. It kept switching on & off constantly every few secs. I made several complaints & nothing was done about it for few days.It took them 4 whole days before they finally took notice.
- Manager offered me pathetic compensation options: 10$ a night 😂
40 measly dollars compensation after spending $600+ on a crap room with no TV & poor service.
- Manager made excuses for the poor behavior of his staff, which I found to be rude, smug and have a mocking attitude
- Room is not clean. Dust balls on the mugs and coffee area. hair on the sheets. bugs in the toilet. Looked like room had not been cleaned in a while.
Spiderwebs cover the seats outside the rooms. Small spider found in room.
- Room In serious need of renovation. Bed cover looks like they have not been changed in decades, it’s like we stepped back in time.
- Location not great with no restaurants close by. Quite far from downtown if you don’t have a car. Very hard to access via PT
- I know this is obviously not a 5star hotel but for the price I was paying per night, the standards should have been MUCH higher.
-Only redeeming factor is it is close to a beautiful river. Also, Joanna was a lovely lady receptionist.
- If you work in the customer service industry then the customer satisfaction should be your focus

I booked 2 rooms. When we asked to have 1 room on the1st floor instead of the 2nd floor, the price was much more. We had to ask for toilet paper for one room, as they only left 1/4 roll in 1 room for a 2 night stay.

Nous sommes arrivés à 22h, la dame était très courtoise et accueillante. La chambre était petite, mais correct. La façade du motel tombe sur l’autoroute, donc très bruyant. Le lendemain, mon fils s’est levé avec la gastro. Nous devions resté deux nuits, mais vu les circonstances, nous avons décidé de retourner à la maison. J’ai été voir la dame pour lui expliquer la situation et lui demander si elle pouvait nous rembourser la deuxième nuit. Elle nous a répondu qu’elle en parlerait avec son superviseur et nous rappellerait. 3h plus tard, nous avons eu son appel pour nous dire qu’il ne ferait pas de remboursement. Par contre sur l’application Hotels.com je reçois seulement une nuit à cumulé pour l’obtention d’une nuit gratuite!!!! J’ai payé pour deux nuits pourtant???? Alors, si j’ai à séjourné à Montréal à nouveau, ce ne sera certainement pas à ce motel.

Had 2 double beds for 3 adults. Room was a little tight, and the nearby traffic was a bit noisy, but the bathroom was very clean and we had a comfortable stay. The reception desk was very nice and helpful. Only one thing bothered us: the coffee maker was dirty (so we didn't use it). We went for a little walk along the water - nice bike trail. Overall, if all you're looking for is a cheap place to stay, this is great value for the money.

First Canada Trip

My stay was very good. Front desk lady was very nice honest and helpful person. She gave me instructions to the motel over the phone cause my cell phone plan stopped working in Canada which is a foreign country. I'm from New York and this was my first trip to Canada which was wonderful. The motel is very clean and it's basically an apartment. There is a clean outdoor pool and a small bar with video games, even tho I didn't use both due to exploring Canada and lack of time. Also the bed was very comfy and the furnishings are new. I slept well. The only concerns I had was the harmless tiny moths that was attracted to the light. At first they came as a shock but they're really harmless and don't bite. They only come out at night when the weather is hot. The only other concern was my card key lost activation and I couldn't help but wonder what would've happen if I came back at 2am since the front desk closes around 1am. I suggest keeping the card key away from anything with a magnet. This motel was a really nice stay and I will definitely be coming back. Definitely deserves 2 thumbs up. Love it.

Highly recommend.

The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and generous (it's always nice to feel genuinely welcomed in a strange place). The location is absolutely lovely. Even if you, like we, aren't upgraded to a room facing the water, the motel is directly on the waterfront, complete with walk/bike lane, large greenway and your own private dock on which to enjoy the sunset. It's right by a highway and bridge (though our room facing the water was absolutely quiet) so you can drive anywhere quickly.

It was a great stay. Pictures were accurate. The location was nice and 30 minutes from Downtown Montreal. The only complaint would be an odd smell similar to smoke from the room. I did get used to the smell within a few minutes but people with asthma may have trouble. The staff was really friendly as well.

You get what you paid for.

Room clean and tidy. Nice pool. Cheaper than most. Admin a bit disorganised. They gave our room key to someone else by accident and I struggled to check out in the morning as was all locked up.
“Window shaker” / air conditioner in the window did not really cool, but did shake the window, and the door surround was duct tape: Construction nearby makes it tricky to get there. No nearby amenities that are walkable.

The Staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. This was not merely professional courtesy, they were really good people. Although the conference we attended was at a hotel in downtown Montreal, staying at Motel et Appartements du Fleuve and driving or taking taxis proved to be both practical and economical. Also the people of Brossard we met were all great people. The room was just as described. So no complaints only praise. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice staff but rooms = smelly, dirty + noisy

While the Reception staff were fairly kind, the rooms were not acceptable for $100+ a night. The towels in our room had toothpaste and dirt stains on them; our first room smelled like cigarettes and the second (after we asked for a change) just smelled bad, period. We were so tired we just gave up and sucked it up. We were all kept awake by the noise from the highway.

Room was clean and tidy, if a little basic, and the view was pretty. Renovations are ongoing and they had just changed the room door, and I have to admit it was a little unsettling at first to walk in and hear the rustling of the tape around the door. River side rooms were quiet enough, but the mattress of the bed was quite hard, and we only had a pillow each, so I couldn't use one to put under my knees to alleviate the back pain. If we hadn't gotten back so late I may have asked the front desk for an extra pillow, so I can't say if they would've provided one or not. Also a bit puzzled that I was given a password to the wifi, yet never had to enter one, but it was working, so no complaints here.

It is worthy the money to stay at a nicer hotel -- I almost NEVER say this. Especially because there were a few other hotel options for an extra $20/night and I'm kicking myself for trying to save a buck. This hotel is basically ON the freeway, the swimming pool is FREEZING (even on Sept 1), & the room is teeny tiny (and I LIVE in Manhattan,). I'm mostly just disappointed in myself for trying to save a little extra money per night. I never write reviews so this should say something -- don't stay here -- if you have a family. Make more of your trip in Montreal.

We got the last room from Expedia but couldn't check in until 8pm. We went for dinner and came back just as the room was ready. Room was clean but so many spider webs outside the door and around the stairway.
I would recommend this place for $99 a night if you're in a pinch and need rest. However, if you're facing the highway it is very noisy.

Stayed at Motel du Fleuve Aug 18 - 20. If you're just looking for a clean, quiet place to sleep in Montreal at a reasonable rate, this place definitely fits the bill. Our room had been recently renovated, it was clean, and staff was very friendly, no problems with speaking English. The outdoor pool was a nice bonus. My suggestion if you're staying here is to request a room at the back of the motel; that gets you a view of the river and the walking path along the river, and may be a little more quiet than the front of the motel, which faces the highway. This place is located close to the Cartier bridge so access to downtown is quick.
My complaints about the place are relatively minor: the windows are sealed shut so it can feel a little stuffy at times; the bathroom fan is wired to the same switch as the light so you can't have the light without the fan, and the fan in our room was a little loud; not alot of hooks/places to hang your stuff; wi-fi wasn't always reliable. Again, all pretty minor stuff, nothing that would keep me from going back.
This was not the first time we stayed at du Fleuve and probably won't be the last!

We stayed in the one bedroom apt for four nights. The kitchen was great. The price was great. We enjoyed the view of the river and the walking/biking path outside the door. Location was convenient to everything we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was not completely finished. Door without molding, a couple of things like that. U would recommend bringing tp, as that was not replaced at all while we were there. The wi-fi was atrocious. No connection available or disconnected after a few minutes. VERY frustrating.

All in all, good value for the price and would definitely stay again.

The motel is old and tired, but reasonably well maintained. The lady at the front desk made all the difference. She was very friendly and helpful. She even phoned in our dinner order for us. The wifi is very spotty. It didn't work in our room, but we sat in the bar and it worked fine.

We arrived at the hotel about little over 11pm, we knocked on the door and the receptionist motioned to us that the motel was closed but we kept knocking on the door, she then came out and said that the motel is closed, I told her that we've made reservations with hotel.com, she stated that \"I don't care if you made it Hotel.com, Expedia or anyone else cuz the we're closed\". I then said that we've paid for the room and if you don't check us in where do you want us to go at this hour since we're 5 hrs. drive away. She finally checked us in with a grumpy faces and an attitude. The hotel cost was about $100usd/ night but we really think it was worth about $50. We wouldn't recommend anyone to show up after 11pm cuz you might not get checked in!

Nice motel on the bank of the St Lawrence

The motel was conveniently located not far from the city across the St Lawrence and on its banks, between the freeway and the river. It would be useful to have had acess to a computer and there was no breakfast available.

Convenient motel.

The motel was difficult to find because of Montreal layout - lots of bridges, viaducts and road works. The staff were all welcoming, gave us all the info we needed how to travel to the centre and even exchanged our money for coins, which are necessary for bus fares.The room got cleaned every day, but we could do with two complimentary coffees rather than one for two people. Wifi worked fine and the swimming pool was useful after a hot day and too much walking.The motel was a bit overpriced like everything in this part of Canada, but the staff were all superb!
