The resort is nice but a little tired. We travelled with kids and the kid’s areas left a lot to be desired. The food was good but lacking variety. Our 3 bedroom Casona was nice but a bit tired. Our butler and the pool servers were top notch though!
We’ve stayed at Grand Velas a few times in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta and prefer the food, service, entertainment and kids club and pool experience there. For the cost of Esperanza, I would pick Grand Velas over it (even paying more overall) or we’d probably try another high end resort.

What was such a treat at the Esperanza, was the quality of people, the professionalism of service and staff, the personal care, making every effort to make you feel extremely spoiled. Karim, your personal concierge, is exceptional. Jaesian and Fernanda at the pool are top notch in service. The pool is stunning with its 2 infinity edges and seating in the 3rd level. And a beautiful beach to enjoy. The Restauant on site, located with a spectacular view, fabulous dishes that are clearly created by magnificent chefs, is our go to spot even after trying other 5 star local restaurants in close 5 star resorts. We give the Esperanza a 10 out of 10!

I booked a gateway at Esperanza, Auberge Resort in Cabo in July.

The property and the rooms are beautiful and most of the staff was super friendly and attentive to all our needs.

There were a few issues that we experienced which are worth noting.

- During our last night while having dinner I was stung by a wasp. Security came and was very professional and treated the bite. However, the restaurant staff did not seem at all concerned about this. The waiter's only comment while I was in pain from the bite was \"at least now you know you are not allergic to wasps\". After that the waiter and restaurant manager were nowhere to be found. They did not check on us once (after security came by) to see if everything was good or if we needed anything. In fact I had to get up from our table to find someone to sign for my check before we could leave to go back to our room. That was very disappointing.

- While they offer free wi-fi, the connection is not secure at all. Furthermore, the connection was very unreliable and there was no signal in many parts of the hotel.

- The TV did screen cast as it was supposed to do. It took a lot of trial and error to get it to work.

- All the restaurants are outside. There was no inside place to sit and eat that had AC (except for your room).

- There are 3-4 restaurants but the food choices were not that great in my opinion.

I am not sure if I would go back to this resort again.

This resort is beyond amazing. The view in our casita was absolutely outstanding. Alicia was so accommodating with our every need. Pool and spa are gorgeous. The entire property is so clean and landscape is beautiful. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time. The only issue we had was at the pool we were constantly trying to get someone to take our order for drinks and food - even just getting a towel we had to ask a few times.

Wow !!! Amazing hotel. The staff is over the top in every way. We only stay at 5 star resorts in Caribbean , Hawaii etc. This is by far the best resort we have ever stayed in Mexico and I’m including cancun, punta da Mita etc. The ambiance is authentic Mexico but pure luxury. The food on property is very good and the service is FIVE STAR. We visited Las Ventanas while we were here and think the Esperanza is superior. We were here for my belated 40th as well as 2nd anniversary. Almost all staff made mention of this multiple times during our stay. At dinner , breakfast , the spa , the gym it was impressive. Our spa casita was amazing and the attention to detail here is out of this world
Luis ,our personal concierge was available via txt 24 hours a day. We were originally scheduled for 6 nights here and then 3 nights at the Montage. We chose to stay at the Esperanza for the entire trip

The property location is great and the amenities were amazing. We stayed in an ocean front spa suite and it was great. The food and service were top notch and the staff went out of their way to make you feel safe. If you’re up for traveling during this pandemic, this place is an oasis of tranquility.

We always receive impeccable service at Esperanza. The property is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the amenities are fabulous. What really makes Esperanza special is their amazing staff, every time we have to leave, it feels like leaving family. I would like to recognize the following people: Luis, Jersain, Juan Carlos(one at the pool, one at Cocina del Mar), Sergio, Amyris, Christian, and Eduardo. You are ALL amazing and made our stay so special. We always look forward to our return to Esperanza. We felt safe and well taken care of during this especially crazy time.

There was great, timely service for everything. Absolute beautiful property.. there was a few days of not restocking certain things but no biggie. Unfortunately had to take the stairs to the top when coming back from the hospital, b/c elevator wasn’t working but I know they don’t know about these things until reported so it’s cool.

This is hands down the nicest resort I have ever stayed at. The room was big, clean, and well appointed. The views from everywhere are breathtaking, there is so much natural beauty. The restaurant, bar, and pool are situated in a way where you get full views of the landscape and ocean. The service was beyond impeccable. They took care of every detail no matter how small. Also the staff took all health safety precautions, and I felt very comfortable being there. I am definitely going to return

There is nothing to dislike. This property is #1 in Mexico for a reason! I have never been to a better hotel and have stayed in many 5 star resorts. Most impressive was how classy and polite every single staff member was when you’d walk pass them. This is a pure 10/10 no questions asked.
