The property has definitely seen better days. Our bathroom was in disrepair and there was hair in the shower, when we arrived the latch on the balcony door was broken and on our first night there there was a storm overnight and it rained in our room.

A note about the superior family suite or whatever the name is The website picture shows a privacy wall between the bunk beds and the main bed and not no longer exists as an actual layout so if you're looking for privacy so you can go to bed at different times this won't work for you. They do have 2 accent chairs in front of a tv behind that wall now as well as the balcony so if that works for you then great!

The bar and waitstaff are very attentive unless it's Saturday, we had a lot of tired staff. I think it's turnover day maybe? The buffet was sparse and many people ended up just eating fruit and bread.

The a la carte restaurants get you in and out in an hour but the kids menu at all of them in the same (nuggets, bolognese and quesadillas) so my kids were over it by the 3rd restaurant.

Some minor inconveniences also such as counters too high for young children to independently wash up/brush their teeth and the theatre shows being at 9pm even though they had some geared to kids.

Ultimately, if you want a budget getaway this place is fine. You get what you pay for.

We stayed for 6 nights there , the checking was terrible even at 3 pm our room wasn’t ready! And the line was crazy.. we saw a cockroach in bathroom that was discussing… water park was close all the week and there was just 2 pool with too many people in ! Buffet restaurant was so simple and the food quality was weak, but the Italian and Mexican restaurants were so good! Building was old and there isn’t any air conditioning in the lobby or bars … not recommended at all !

The cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff were excellent. The buffet restaurant was extremely noisy, mainly because of the constant presence of small children screaming while their parents seemed indifferent to the situation.

The best reservation-only restaurants were the French, Italian, and Mexican restaurants. The seafood restaurant, however, seemed to me to be of very low quality, with a poor menu and badly prepared dishes: a ceviche that did not taste like ceviche and a sangria that did not taste like sangria. Aside from that restaurant, the other dining venues were very pleasant and offered good culinary options. The buffet menu was also appealing, although the atmosphere became quite overwhelming because of the noise.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, though not an exceptional one due to the constant rough waves throughout the stay. The excursion to the underground river Río Secreto is highly recommended.

I would not recommend this hotel based on our recent stay. Check-in was extremely disorganized. We waited nearly three hours in a hot lounge just to receive wristbands, then had to go elsewhere for our room assignment. Traveling with two young children made the process especially frustrating. The staff often seemed unhelpful, and when I asked to speak with a manager after the long wait, I received only scripted responses with no real assistance. Communication throughout our stay was poor, and important information about restaurant reservations, towel cards, room service fees, and other policies was never explained at check-in. The property itself was disappointing. There was limited seating around the pools, our room and common areas were not very clean, and we found cockroaches in our room. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable. During our stay, the hotel lost power, forcing guests to use the stairs. My husband and one of my children also suffered food poisoning, causing us to lose a day of our vacation. In addition, our room safe stopped working with our belongings locked inside, and assistance was delayed despite our having an excursion scheduled. Several advertised amenities were unavailable, including the gym and large water slides. Housekeeping repeatedly left our balcony door open after cleaning, and obtaining basic items such as drinking water was unnecessarily difficult. Pool chairs were also in short supply, with guests reserving them early each morning.

We really enjoyed our stay! We got the honeymoon suite and the views were to die for! The housekeeping kept the room in tip top shape. The property was absolutely beautiful and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.
The only sub-par about the facility is the gym there. It is very out dated and some of the equipment either didn't work or was falling apart (but let's get real, most people do not work out on vacation).
As a whole we very much enjoyed the stay and would 100% stay here again!

All staff was so pleasant and helpful. Room service with sheet change daily/sometimes twice daily. Very clean, great entertainment daily and nightly. Bartenders were great with drinks. For the negatives... no one EVER answers front desk. Elevators were at times an issue (with one dropping us a bit, which scared the heck out of us that were in it at that time!!) Most of the time only 1 or 2 (if we're lucky) elevators worked at a time with often times long waits. Food was dependent on diff factors, but I would rate it as good, not excellent. We never had issues making reservations (aside from Seafood place) but the food offered for the most part wasn't great. I suggest the buffet and especially the fresh made eggs!!

It’s a really great place to come with kids. The pool, kids-only movie theater, and various activities for family, game room, mini golf for children are definitely big advantages. However, the buildings are old, there’s only one buffet, not many food options, no café, and only one snack place for hamburger, fries, hot dogs and few moren finger food next to pool. Room service also costs 70 Mexican pesos every time you order(all inclusive??), and the front desk rarely answered the phone, which was very inconvenient.
If I come back to Cancun next year, I would probably choose a different resort instead of staying here again.

Do not stay here. I cannot stress this enough! We booked to stay for a week, but we switched to a different resort after less than 24 hours. No refund was issued to us either.
Immediately upon arrival, we weren’t greeted by friendly staff as is customary at other resorts I’ve been to. We stood in line for over an hour waiting to be checked in.
The resort makes you have towel cards, and if you lose one, they’ll charge you 25usd. Travelling with kids, the idea of towel cards really stressed me out.
Our room was okay. The bed was hard, and it was generally just run down. Stained tub that needed to be upgraded/repaired.
We found the staff and even the guests to be pretty rude. This hotel definitely caters to its Spanish guests. The staff didn’t even acknowledge us. Never served us or asked if we wanted a drink.
We waited in line to get into the buffet for 45 minutes while they let the Spanish guests in ahead of us even when we were there first.
The staff isn’t friendly and doesn’t really speak any English. Once inside the buffet, again no one served us or asked if we wanted drinks.
This was my kids’ first time in Mexico, and they were all so confused why we were being treated so poorly for no reason.
I wouldn’t recommend this resort to my worst enemy.

When we first arrived we were put in a room that was less than acceptable. The floor was dirty, there was hair in the shower. And the sliding shower doors were missing both handles so there were only small holes to put your fingers in to open and close the shower doors. That is if you could. They were so calcified they barely opened and would get stuck. The bed was hard and was like sleeping on cement. We inquired at the front desk and they gave us a different room which was better. The people there are RUDE. Even the hotel staff. If you are not one of the locals you are ignored, glared at and made fun of. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Definitely would not recommend to Americans. Only about 10% of the hotel staff were welcoming and hospitable. The rest would not give you the time of day if you were not Latino. Very disappointing. This was our first time in Mexico and unfortunately will be our last. We will never be back and will make everyone we know aware to avoid this resort. It was not a good experience at all.

Family friendly resort with childcare amenities. Restaurants on site are great. Pools are clean and comfortable but very busy. Communication with this resort is TERRIBLE! Nobody tells you anything about the property when you check in. (Ex:you need to make reservations for dinner at the restaurants on site except for the buffet). I didn’t know that bcuz nobody tells you what to expect. I had to figure my way to my room, no assistance. If you’re lucky, you’ll get luggage service, if not, you’ll have to carry your own stuff. The property itself is not bad, but the communication needs work. Nobody answers the phone, I literally had to go to the concierge every time I needed something, then she called the workers before I got any help. There’s daily housekeeping though.

Booked a family vacation, did the bundle deal with Expedia. Which was me, my 3 kids. We were going to visit my husband that lives in Mexico. Forgot to add him to the reservation, called, emailed, and message the hotel and Expedia before going on out trip. No one answered or gave any information what would happen if we just showed up without him added to the reservation. Showed up to the hotel just for them to charge me $1,300 to add one person for our 7 day stay. But when I booked with Expedia I was charged $1,300 for 4 people. It was ridiculous, Expedia or the hotel should have communicated better before we showed up. Over all it was a good vacation but food, reservations and the elevators need some work. House cleaning was amazing!

Our experience as a family was incredible! Lots of activities for our kids to do, lots of pool and water options and the staff are so friendly. There’s a market that sets up every other day where you can shop local and pick out some unique treasures. Our only speed bump was the elevators in the main hotel tower were unreliable and stopped on every floor, even if no one pushed the button.
There is a lot of variety of food available and entertainment for everyone!

So totally honest review- the place wasn’t bad but we wished we had spend a little more money for a better place. Was clean and friendly staff but food was not very good- hard to get reservations even though the restaurants weren’t full. All the websites we looked at stated numerous amenities but we didn’t see most of them. Not a bad place if you have never had an all inclusive before, but will definitely spend a little extra next time to stay at a nicer place.

Pools were nice. My son loves the pirate ship. Over all star was nice. My only issue were with the people who came to the hotel. It had carnival cruise vibes. People were telling the kids to pee in the pools because they didn't want to take the time to take them to the bathroom. I know it's annoying to take them every hour but my God it's nasty.

The hotel itself was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and being right on the beach was definitely the highlight of our trip. Everyone at the resort treated us great and the rooms were nice and clean.

The biggest downside was the food honestly I’d rate it about a 2/10. Unless the food improves, we probably wouldn’t stay again.

What really ruined the experience for us though was Expedia. We are a family of 5, and I originally booked what I thought was ONE suite that fit our family. But because my daughter is 17, Expedia ended up turning it into TWO separate rooms due to their “adult/child” policy. The room itself could fit 7 people, so it made absolutely no sense to us.

The worst part is we didn’t realize it until later, and since it was booked through a third party company, the hotel couldn’t refund or fix it. We ended up spending about way way more than we needed to.

The hotel and staff were great, but after this experience I probably won’t use Expedia again. Next time I’ll call the hotel directly first because we could have saved a lot of money and frustration.

Property is run down, very bad smell from our room and we booked a family room which ended up being located directly across the disco night club and noise was beyond loud every night from 12am -2 am . When speaking with a supervisor we are told that there’s no other room except one two doors down in same location.
Requested small decorations for our fathers 80th birthday in the room and told by same supervisor it would be placed in the room in the morning , it never happened all day , reservation made fo dinner for our fathers bday and when confirming that night told we have no reservation and supervisor is out for supper so we will have to wait until she comes back …. Horrrible service at reception
One of three elevators broken entire trip , so waiting 10-15 min for elevator for a room on 7 th floor each time our father needed to go to his room .

I liked that there was an adult pool. What I didn’t like was it opened at 10 am and bar closed at 5. No whirlpool tub in property but had one in bathroom. I liked being able to go to the restaurant for dinner and App for booking was a breeze. Check in was a hassle, only one person doing check in. I like the bracelet access to room and gates. Food was ok. Some staff super helpful, others so so. Glad housekeeping was always available when needed. Would be nice to have conditioner and body wash not just bar of soap. Room had nice view on second floor.

The property was under construction, but that was not listed online. The buffet area was closed and relocated to the conference room area, How food was kept hot and cold was questionable. Overall the food was less than average. The tacos were the best option. Many places in Cancun have moved away from pool towel cards, but not this resort, which is annoying. Many people place their towels early in the am to reserve seats all day. This is annoying. We requested that our two room be connected so we could be connected to our children and they were unable to accommodate that. It was very stressful and my husband and I ended up sleeping in separate beds all vacation because the set up was not ideal. We wanted to come back to this resort cause we got married here in 2010, we thought a 20 year anniversary would be cool, but this validated that we will not be back.

We had a great stay with our 3 young children. We are not overly picky people, so we were okay with some things that others may not be. For example out balcony light just didn't work and the shower head was very loose. But this was all workable for us and did not affect our stay. My only really complaint would be that the beach was not as well maintained as I would have liked, there was a lot of seaweed on the beach daily.
The reservations were easy to make. There's lots of pool options, in the sun and in a covered area. The kids areas are fantastic.
The nightly entertainment was mediocre. We went to 2 and decided there were better things to do than go to the shows for the rest of our stay.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time, the kids had a blast and we got the relaxing getaway we all needed.

The staff were good & friendly & the room was fine but the food was not good. My husband got food poisoning on the last day from a shrimp that looked sus to me. The check in was a living nightmare. With only 4 families in front of us it took 1 hr & 47 minutes to check in . . . No exaggeration. . . It was the worst having to stand there for that long after a long plane ride. We would not recommend this place unless you are on a tighter budget & it’s what you can afford. We were staying there for 6 days before we moved on to Holbox for another 10 days & we couldn’t wait to leave. The beach was really nice though & if anyone finds my wedding band while digging on the beach let me know ;) It was titanium so not a big deal to lose . . .

Excellent resort very clean and lots of different areas to hang out. The adult section is fantastic and very comfortable. The downside the bar up there closes at 5 but the pool is open until 10. The shows are so well put together and the Michael Jackson show was the best I had ever seen. Definitely recommend this resort. Heads up there are a lot of kids.

We LOVED this resort! Every staff memeber was INCREDIBLE! Food was very good... not fancy but we were not there for fine dining! The restaurants were ok...nice opportunity for a private quieter dinner ( you MUST be on your phone at 8am sharp to get a reservation...we never had an issue) In order...French(we went twice), Mexican(twice as well) Steak place, Italian...
We were just the 2 of us and spent ALL our days at the Adults only pool! AMAZING! Bartenders were top notch! If you want to reserve your canaba someone needs to get up early...7amish... and put your towels on a cabana! You won't get even a chair after 9am! You don't have to stay just put some item on it to save it! We used Happy Shuttle both directions from the airport... they were GREAT! We tipped in Pesos at the bars, in our room and buffet...USD at the restaurants. All staff were very appreciative! We would definetly stay here again!
We were in buildng 2 on the 7th floor, \"Club Room\" definetly worth the little extra! Big tub jacuzzi tub looking out at the ocean!

There are so many mixed reviews on this property so I was apprehensive upon arrival but pleasantly surprised. The resort is beautiful - the location is as well. The staff are really really great (shout out to our bellman Oscar and our chambermaid Fernando), though we found in the buffet the service was better on the patio (shoutout to Antonio & Pedro) as the service inside was almost non-existent. We were happy with the food - though we aren't overly picky, definitely enjoyed the poolside lunch shack every day as it was food the kids love (burgers and fries) and we only ever ate in the buffet for breakfast and dinner but always found lots of options. The Kids Paradise we used only once, but the kids were safe and happy there. :-) We enjoyed the nightly shows in the theatre - especially the Michael Jackson and Disney Trivia ones. The variety in pools was a huge hit for our entire family and though there is no reservation system for the loungers we were always able to get at least one (people are crazy and would get up in the middle of the night to reserve them with their personal items). The hotel itself is clean and you see the staff working very hard around the clock to keep things running smoothly - the rooms are nice, though ours definitely needed some maintenance but nothing that would keep us from coming back. Overall - we would give this hotel 4.5/5 :-) Absolutely would come back!

Great place for a large group with various interests and budgets. Staff was friendly, family pools were great. But you do need to get up very early to reserve your pool chairs. The food wasn’t great. The only really good meals we had was breakfast at the Italian restaurant. Otherwise, we took a bus into town to eat. Would recommend.

Our stay at this resort in Cancun was extremely disappointing and far from the relaxing vacation we expected. The biggest issue was the complete lack of seating around the swimming pools. The resort simply does not have enough lounge chairs for the number of guests and rooms they accommodate.
Because of this, guests were waking up as early as 5:00 AM just to reserve chairs by the pool by placing towels on them. Unfortunately, we had to do the same every single morning if we wanted any chance of enjoying the pool area. Having to set an alarm for 5 AM during a vacation completely defeats the purpose of being on holiday.
What made the experience worse was that the staff were not accommodating or helpful with even minor requests. When guests are paying for a resort experience, basic amenities like pool seating should be accessible without this kind of stress or competition.
A vacation should be relaxing and carefree, not a daily race for chairs at sunrise. The property clearly oversells capacity relative to available amenities, and management does not seem to address the issue.
Overall, this situation took the fun out of what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. I would strongly recommend that the resort either significantly increase seating capacity around the pools or enforce fair policies on reserving chairs. Until that happens, I would think twice before staying here.

Lots of various pools to enjoy. The waterslides are great for both kids and adults. The food at the buffet and poolside lunch area are really good and the à la carts are even better, especially the French and Italian restaurant. It’s one of the few resorts with rooms that can sleep a family of five or more in one room. The rooms were always cleaned and restocked with beer pop and water. There’s many convenient bar locations and the ocean is beautiful. This is a great family resort. The nightlife is not great, however. It’s a lot of families which is perfect for us

My first room had a big dead Roach , then got my room wrong gave me one bed for 3 people had to go back down to get room change and at first they said the didn't have room until I asked for the manger and the manger never came out and the staff just gave me a different room
but the bar staff was very sweet great customer service and well as the all the other staff
front desk was rude and house keeping was rude

Staff was so great! But, if you can, go somewhere else. There are not enough chairs by the pools or the beach for all the guests. Not enough beach towels, you might not get one. For the rooms, great staff, often not enough hand or face towels. The specialty restaurants are not great and book within a minute at 8 AM. You probably Won’t get in.

I had booked a double room for me and my family 2 adults and 3 kids they gave me a room with only 2 beds and we were so tight and not comfortable at all i ask them they told me they don’t have a double room and i had to stay all time long so tight they restaurant was alway booked and had to eat on the buffet all the time got sick of the same food

The check in process was disappointing-could not get in to room until after 3 even though we had the honeymoon suite (figured we would be allowed in a bit earlier).

Getting a seat at the main pools was impossible unless you “saved” your spot by 6:30 in the morning. We used the adults only pool the entire time, which is nice but no beach view there.
The restaurant s are back to reservations only which you need to make right at 8:00 AM-who wants to wake up that early every day on vacation?! The buffet food was sub par, often cold or undesirable.

Overall was a bit disappointing this time-we had been here the last 4 years but will be choosing somewhere else next year.

The resort is very crowded, with too many guests for the available resources. The facilities are not sufficient for the number of people staying there. Whenever we try to make a reservation or request something, it is always full. Overall, the experience has been very disappointing.

Family with a 6 & 7 year old. Kids areas are great. The kids had a great time. Food was good.

Not enough pool loungers. Adults literally fighting over places to sit. Long drink lines. Activites weren’t reliable ex. Most Aqua Zumba classes didn’t run as scheduled. Restaurant reservations were hard to get. If you weren’t on the app right at 8, it’s not happening. Location is close to airport, but far from most excursions parks. Took 3 hours to get the Xplore.

We did have a good time, but some frustrating moments. Affordable decent option for families with kids between 5-12.

Let’s be real the only thing this resort got right was the staff. They were genuinely kind and welcoming. Everything else? A complete fail.

For an “all-inclusive,” the food situation was almost laughable. We couldn’t get a single restaurant reservation the entire stay, yet somehow there were empty tables every night. Turns out, if you’re not a “club member,” good luck you’re basically an afterthought. What exactly are we paying for then?

And the buffet? Easily the worst I’ve ever had. Most of the food was straight up inedible cold, poorly prepared, and clearly lacking any kind of quality control. Calling this “all-inclusive dining” is generous at best.

This place sells an experience it simply cannot deliver. Between the unfair reservation system and the terrible food, the entire stay felt like a waste.

We definitely won’t be back.

Typical of an all inclusive family resort, had kids ages 5 and 8 and here for 4 full days, was perfect for what we were looking for. Kids activities, buffet, lots of swimming and beautiful weather :)

Run! Please read.
If you’re an American I wouldn’t come here. They treated us very badly. If I had the money I would have left. Please spend the extra $ else where.

The food was seriously bad and I’ve been to multiple resorts and cruises.

The elevator was broken for two days and we couldn’t even get to our floor had to use the stairs with housekeeping etc.

The water took 15 minutes to get warm. You can’t get ahold of the front desk either what so ever. Never had that in a resort.

When I checked in they told me to do reservations for the restaurants at 8 am so I did and there was nothing available. I tried calling the front once again and nothing. No one answers. When I got back from my excursion I asked if they could help and they did after an attitude about it. I told them they need more staff during peak season.

No coffee shop at all

I got dress coded for the Buffett when other girls (Mexican and other ethnicity with similar if not worse or same outfits got to go in) and they made me change. People brought the Buffett plates outside the buffet and they allowed them to do it, but as soon as my family did they tried to take the plate away. (Not even joking) They never had towels available for the pool kept saying they’re washing them so we had to use our room ones, but if you lose your card for the towels it’s $25. Didn’t get clean towels for a day and again, tried calling housekeeping nothing. Got a note basically stating if our stuff went missing it was them.

Pretty room, but could use a better cleaning vs high level surface cleaning. Resort beautiful, views spectacular. Buffet was best option. Most staff were attentive, polite, and seem to enjoy their job. Had one really bad incident with reception employee and two managers got involved. They were professional and listened great! Not sure I’d go back to all inclusive but if you like that type of environment it’s a great place and nicely located.

Great location, excellent service and attention. I have no complaints at all—the buffet food was good, the ocean view from the room was incredible, the beach was beautiful, and the activities for kids and families were fun. We were able to make a reservation at one of the restaurants without any issues, and the food was delicious! I recommend booking early in the morning starting at 8 a.m. (I never had trouble reserving—I only lost two previous reservations because we got caught up in other activities).

I’d like to congratulate the hotel staff—everyone was very kind, helpful, and professional, from the receptionists and servers to the entertainers and bellhops like Osvaldo, who kindly helped us with our luggage when we left the hotel.

Without a doubt, a “no-brainer” if you’re coming with family. Great value for the price, with a prime location right next to Playa Delfines.

Unfortunately, our overall experience with the hospitality was disappointing. While the pool area was enjoyable and the kids had fun, it really only felt suitable for a short stay of 1–2 days, as there weren’t enough engaging activities to keep them occupied beyond that.

One of the major issues was the long waiting times for indoor games. The limited availability meant the kids often couldn’t participate, which left them quite frustrated. Improving access and reducing wait times for these activities would make a big difference for families.

The dining experience was another letdown. The food quality did not meet expectations, and the restaurant reservation system was particularly inconvenient. The booking window was too limited, seating was scarce, and strict time limits made the experience feel rushed rather than relaxing. Expanding reservation availability, increasing seating capacity, and offering more flexible dining times would greatly enhance guest satisfaction.

Overall, with better organization of activities, improved food quality, and a more guest-friendly reservation system, the experience could be significantly improved for families.

Check-in took about 45 minutes, which wasn’t ideal, but the trip improved after that. The waterslides were a huge hit and kept us entertained for hours each day. The zip line and rock wall were fun but only open 2–5 PM and limited to one turn per day.

Our room was cleaned daily and the fridge restocked, which we appreciated. Food options kept us satisfied overall. Booking the specialty restaurants (5 options) wasn’t the smoothest process, but we were able to try most. The Fisherman’s was our favorite. The French restaurant is adults-only.

Water access was a bit inconvenient once the bottled supply in the room ran out, you have to refill at bars or dispensers. My husband liked the Modelo in the fridge, but the draft beer at the bar tasted “stale.”

The gym needs upgrades! Several machines were out of order and dumbbells only went up to 50 lbs. Beds were very firm, and the hot tub (adults-only area) was lukewarm.

The beach was a highlight. The sand is soft, fun waves, and manageable seaweed.

Overall, a great family trip with fun memories. Keep expectations realistic and you’ll enjoy it!
